Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran, Iran promises to retaliate

Gotterdammerung Alert.

"Revealed: Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran," from the Times Online.

"Iran vows to hit back at any Israeli strike," from AFP.

Please don't get the wrong idea from the order of these articles. There is only one aggressor here, and it is the Islamic Republic of Iran. And for that, we can thank Jimmy Carter and his respect for Khomeini as a fellow "man of faith."

No mention of the Mahdi!

How are people supposed to realise the threat without knowing the ideology behind it?

Re: Israel plans nuclear strike on Iran, Iran promises to retaliate

A hypocritical world will condemn Israel, but most will secretly applaud the action when it comes to pass. Anyone who thinks that the Psychotic and Co. will only target Israel in the future is not realistic.

Putin will condemn the action, others will condemn it, but it is rational to take this action. Eventually, Nasralla and other terrorists throughout the world would have nuclear weapons if this rational action were not taken by Israel.

The US will back Israel because the vast majority of the American people support Israel and because Americans have common sense. Americans are practical because they have fled nut-house parts of the world and don't want the nuts to come here. (Meanwhile, groups like CAIR (the Muslim-American Bund) will give everybody even more reason to know why they are a deceptive and sinister organization.)

"Gotterdammerung* Alert."

Oh please, what has Wagner's play "Twilight of the (germanic) Gods"* in common with the Israeli-Iranian conflict?

Posted by: DrWolffenstein [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 8:52 AM

Doesn't Natanz translate into "Al-Mahdi's House" in Farsi? Blow it up already!! Let Iran retaliate!! Let's get the ball rolling for Ezekiel 38 to take place. Oh and Israel, while you're at it don't forget to drop a few on Damascus and fulfill Isaiah 17.

Posted by: bigwhiteinfidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 8:53 AM

It's about time. Get out of the way Mr. Ohlmert!

Let the smarter men get the job done as they would have in Lebanon if your beureaucrats hadn't bungled the job--enflaming Arab/muslim aggression all the more. There is no appeasing that will work in Iran with the nut job and the USA is a lame hope at best.

Posted by: BB [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 8:59 AM

During the Cold War, the US had all sorts of plans to target key areas of the Soviet Union, and the Soviets did the same.

These "what if " scenarios are necessary to test the feasibility of a certain tactic before trying it out.Read farther down the article and you see that this plan will only go forward IF conventional weapons are not feasible, and IF the US doesn't do something first.

To frame it as some sort of sinister step closer to a war is to demonize Israel for doing something all sensible militaries do.

Posted by: freedomschool [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 9:00 AM

Anyway, "the world" will most certain blame Israel. But then, who cares? Just like with the Iraqi nuclear project, in a few years time everyone will agree it was a smart move. Case closed.

Posted by: DrWolffenstein [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 9:01 AM

l would think it not logical for Israel not to have plans for their defense, such as their neighbours have continued their attacks on Israel. Iran as usual the coward muslims that they are, will work through surrogates such as the hez boys and hammas. as no muslim country wants to face Israel and be humilated again and again. cowards to the core these islamists. They can only fight by killing in ambush, unarmed civilians, and beat up their women.

"Iran vows to hit back at any Israeli strike."

I do not understand the headline. I thought the headline was: "Iran vows to wipe Israel off the map!" "Iran vows to go after the Great Satan secondly. What is this about retaliation?

The problem for Israel and the United States is not only that one must destroy Iran's nuclear technology and capacity, but in order to protect oneself from retaliation, one must get at the bunkers (probably hitting about 120 targets that can only be hit with nuclear bunk busters), one must decapitate the leadership and one must destroy Iran's oil resources that fuels bellicose appetites of the Mullahs. The only good news is that intelligence knows where these scum are on Friday, if they act first, without warning!

Secret Plans?

The "Times Online" has access to "secret plans?"

I needed a good laugh this morning and this was it.

These plans aren't "secret" and the ape knew about these "secrets" several years back -- and so did everyone else!

The question is more "why" are these so-called secrets being made an issue now?

Obviously, it is for public consumption -- all militaries knew about this long ago and made counter plans; and more counter plans; and so on.

What is significant is the "timing" of such a public announcement; with the very public announcement that the USS Ronald Regan has left San Diego for the Middle East to join a growing armada that includes the EU.

There are no "secret plans," merely implementation phases.

But in the end, Israel has no choice but to act. If they do, hopefully Olmert will commit to doing the job right the first time instead of his half-a$$ed botch-work that he was responsible for last summer.

This time, keep Condi home! If you hear her high-heels clicking too soon, Israel is finished again.

retaliation - what does that matter when faced with anhialation which is what the Israelis will face if Iran gets nuked up.
This is no training exercise the Israelis know what they face and they know it is ONLY their necks on the block - they will do what they have to to protect their people and as I said before god speed the Israeli Air Force. Oh and using nukes - well its only sensible - always use the best tool for the job!!

Frank,

It will not suprise me that most in the world will do the phony condemmnation of Isreal when it comes to Iran's nuclear plants. Remember this happened 25 years earlier when Isreal had to do the same thing, and it was with Iraq's nuclear program under Sadamm Hussein. Public condemmnation but secreat thanks. The worlds still thanks Isreal to this day for that heroic action.

Not only America will thank Isreal, but also the Iranians themselves who are getting fed-up with this nutcase and would love to have him removed.

and pass them the nukes.............

Isael might test international reaction with this announcement, nothing serious I guess. But the reaction of the world could make an impact for future decision-making.

Iran's begging for a long time and they are fanatic too.
Iran's promising strongest retaliation. I think they still don't see where they are.

Israel is in a bad position. they have every right to defend themselves and strike first against an aggressor who has sworn to wipe them of the face of the Earth ( and is now attaining nukes ), but if they Use Tactical Nukes all the world will see is NUKES! they won't care how small or how controlled the attack is , they will see a nation NUKING another , and that will certainly turn public opinion even farther if not completely against Israel. i think a Conventional attack would be more suited.

The difference is that the RUSSIANS LOVED THEIR CHILDREN. The muslims tie bomb belts to theirs.

IF and I do say IF things come to the point of a real nuclear confrontation, then I'll eat my words, but I think much is going on behind the scenes.

I still think that those who hold the wealth in this world want a stable ME for cheap oil and cheap labor....so a nuclear war in Iran is NOT in their financial interest.

Why did Iran recently send a representative to the Vatican? What is going on there? It wasn't for conversion or to confess their sins.

Things should get interesting in the next few weeks. Let's pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

It's in the scriptures.

ROBERT: "Please don't get the wrong idea from the order of these articles. There is only one aggressor here, and it is the Islamic Republic of Iran. And for that, we can thank Jimmy Carter and his respect for Khomeini as a fellow "man of faith." "

RESPONSE: Sorry Robert, but this type of thinking is every bit as erroneous as the consensus on the Left that if the US government hadn't overthrown Mossadegh in '53, the '79 revolution would never have happened.

There is no way of knowing what would have transpired in Iran if Mossadegh had been left unfettered. His regime might not have lasted 6 months (as the CIA believed); or it might have developed some legs. Iran might have become the "ripe apple" that Krueschev called it...and fell into the Soviet lap. Or it could have had its Islamic awakening 20 years before it did.

It is the Iranian people that are responsible for the triumph of Khomeini in 1979. Unlike the Iraqi revolution 21 years earlier that was essentially a coup engineered by a small group of officers, and only after-the-fact supported by the throngs of Iraqi masses, the Iranian revolution encompassed millions demonstrating in the streets on a daily basis advocating the overthrow of the monarchy while the Shah still held power.

I'm always speaking out in the Left-wing European blogs against those people who insist that America is responsible for every evil that afflicts the world. In your own inverted way...on this one issue, you've made a similar charge.

Jimmy Carter is most certainly a pathetic weasal who readily deserves our contempt. But nothing he could have done in '79 would have saved the Shah of Iran. The Iranian Revolution was a mass movement with overwhelming public support.

This has just een denied by israel, which makes sense becuase one of the dumbest things you can do is let the nemy know of your plans,

This was mostly likely leaked by Iran to justify their owning of nuclear weapons

Iran also "leaked" a news story where They said A US general was going to let saddam live if he took out the shia/sunni(whechever one iran is) factions in iraq

got to love that one. The pigs are running in Baker street.
Most of you will remember Mr Baker who asked to leave with his business because the muselmans want to build a mosque.
But Mr. Baker's fighting back.

Cheers! http://www.americanpigrace.com/

On September 29,2006 at 11:30 AM, Mr. Yousuf N. Shaikh & Mr. Kamel H. Fotough came to my office to introduce themselves to me as the new neighbors. These two gentlemen informed me that they had purchased the adjacent house along with the 11-acre tract of land from the Sacco family on 09/22/06. They asked that I remove my cattle from this 11-acre tract & remove my electrical fence. They said they were going to use the existing house as a community center. Children would be coming to play on the grounds, and as an engineer, Mr. Fotough felt it was unsafe for them to be around the cattle. Since 1995 I had been leasing this property from the Sacco’s to run my Limousine cattle on.

The gentlemen were very friendly, but spoke with a heavy Middle Eastern accent. They told me how much they loved the United States and how they had such big plans for the land. They said that their children had grown up right here in America, and they said that their ultimate dream is to build a parking lot, a new community center, an athletic facility, a school, and a mosque. They felt that they were going to need a total of 25 acres to complete this project, which might take them as long as five years to complete. They went into great detail how they wanted to provide a complete atmosphere where their friends could bring their entire families to worship and to play, and they said they would even provide security for the entire site. They felt that there was no other place on the far west side of Houston that was able to handle their needs.

While I was walking these men out, I offered to give them some granite fill, free of charge for their new driveway that they had planned. Then Mr. Fotough said that it was probably a good idea for me to start thinking about packing up my business, along with my family and moving somewhere further out in the country. They felt that a mosque and a marble shop did not go well together. He told me he was from Egypt and his partner was from Pakistan, and that they were bringing many new families in from as far as 5,000 miles away. He went on to say that many of these new people that they would be bringing in would be unfamiliar with many of the local customs, and/or ways of doing things, and that most would not be able to speak English at first.

Before they left, they provided me with their cell phone numbers so that if I ever had a problem I would be able to get in touch with them. I of course reciprocated the gesture, but I did not say much of anything because I was simply trying to digest what I had heard. I must have had a look of total shock on my face.

When I returned to my office two of my employees asked what was wrong. I told them that the new neighbors had said I should start thinking about packing up and moving out, and I fully explained what was said and what my new neighbor's intentions were. On the following Wednesday, 10/04/06, a new collector's crystal wall clock was delivered to my office as a gift. The card attached said: To: Craig Baker From: New Neighbors .

Dhimmah Carter's presidency is the cancer of America - it sometimes goes into remission but it always comes back to eat away/destroy the USA--

and of course, Dhimmah keeps writing anti-semitic/anti-Israel books, making appearances (but not balanced ones - he refuses to debate anyone) defending his anti-Israel views...just in case the Carter cancer needs a boost to continue to destroy America...

glad to see people at his Carter Crap Center abandoning him -- I went to Emory University where he is often a guest and they will never see one red cent of donation from me until they part ways with this malignant tumor--

Some analysts warned that Iranian retaliation for such a strike could range from disruption of oil supplies to the West to terrorist attacks against Jewish targets around the world...

Why does America have a huge Armada in the gulf?
The Iranians should be too busy putting out
fires and dodging shrapnel to disrupt anything!
Shame on the world if Israel have to do this alone.

The only problem with the Judean IDF policy is the key word of "limited". It is time a doctrine is set in the west and name it the Crusader Doctrine as Muslim will howl over it any way.
It states that ANY nation from January 1, 2006 which attempts to arm with nuclear technology will have their government, their nuclear infrastructure and military vaporized by the weapons they choose to inflict upon the world.
The Judeans must knock the stuffing out of Iran which includes the leathal leadership and the equally malevolent Revolutionary Guard and "Supreme Council" which no one in Islam recognizes as it is bogus.
Take off the gloves and make Iran an absolute example so the Iranian people can get their nation back. If the Jews start bombing they had better hit with a maximum blow or it will escalate to it within months as Iran will react.

May Israel "wipe Iran off of the map" as the world watches Ahmad eat his own words. Yummy!

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 2:49 PM

With apologies to Hugh and Robert, I find that blaming Jimmy Carter (whom I personally abhor and consider a doo gooding dunce, because he tries to be a Christian as Christ wanted people to be), for the success of Khomeini and the current problem of Iran to be libel, a specious claim, and a strawman assertion.

I make this statement because, unlike anyone else who posts here (or at FR or LGF) I have some personal and inside knowledge about Operation Eagle Claw.. otherwise known as the Iranian hostage rescue attempt.

I don't recall J.C. having nice words about Khomeini, not at all, then again I was one of those
chess pieces that our leaders picked up and put in place.. who received orders and executed them to the best of my knowledge...I didn't pay much attantion to the goings on of the government, politics, etc.

So I googled "Jimmy Carter" Khomeini man of faith and found this revealing site from the Forida Southern Baptist Witness

and this excerpt from it

As far as Jimmy Carter is concerned, Adrian Rogers and Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini are like-minded fanatics and, although each claims a different brand of the dreaded fundamentalism that is sweeping our world, both are equally as dangerous. This is the inescapable of conclusion of any reasonable person who has read Carter’s new book, Our Endangered Values: America’s Moral Crisis.

You see Carter blames fundamentalist fanatics, be they a Khomeini or an Adrian Rogers.. which is much different, much different, than embracing Khomeini as a fellow man of faith.

In fact Khomeini is a fellow man of faith to the likes of Pat Robertson.. for both men are men of "faith" and both are ultra conservative, self chosen and self righteous in their respective faiths.

And if this whole thing is perceived (as it is proving to be) a battle for god, rather than a battle for civilization.. then we will lose.

And a word to the wise.. Snide remarks, specious reasoning, false accusations, logical fallacies do not help the cause.. they only hurt the cause. Preaching to the converted, and reinforcing dogma and beliefs does not recruit new members.. and recruiting new members (especially from the liberal side of the aisle, and especially from do gooder, liberal Christians and Jews) is what we need to do.

But what do I know. Bear in mind that Pat Robertson alienates and turns off anyone who isn't already a dittohead zombie...he hurts the evangelical cause with his insanities and scapegoating of gays, women, etc..

Posted by: Nariz [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 7, 2007 4:25 PM

In truth, those who are conservitive, even in Christian faith also loves and values freedom. Those are the ones who truly need to be recruited because of their deep appreciation.

I see it as the argument is increasing in word tactics. Iran needs to negotiate, but as you see, they won't. In the end, it'll be Iran's fault for not preventing an attack. Nuclear is nasty, and the rest of the world better wake up; this isn't the cold war with Russia ? This is a Hot war with idiots. I can't imagine how we can protect ourselves from Nuclear Suicide Bombers ?

They say when news was lacking Hemingway would go up to the front line, and open fire on the Germans, so they would respond and he'd have something interesting to write about. Sounds like the Times is hoping for action, like Hemingway, I hope they get "cured" by being held at the front when the enemy responds. And is there some connection between the NY and London "Times" that they both mysteriously recieve a windfall of "secrets"? There should be serious consideration of treason and espionage charges when harmful revelations that cost lives are revealed by the news media. Sharing "secrets" with the enemy does not prevent war, it only makes it more costly. But I have no doubt Isreal has plans to respond to any threat, the problem is they know plutonium was being processed at facilities the UN inspectors have never visited. Natantz may be nothing more than bait for a turkey shoot, while the real bad stuff is being done elsewhere, probably deep below newly built schools or hospitals, to mask construction, we are talking a lot of steel and concrete in those bunkers, where they have a sizable "human shield". I'd take out the oil production, and let Iran know that would be the cost of defiance, because I think they assume we value the oil supply too much. And the endplay is food supply, ever tightening due to global droughts, if we convert eport crops to domestic fuel, how will the Middle East convert oil to food? I figure that food is why all these little tyrant nations are trying to obtain nukes because the world won't always need their oil as badly as they do right now.

Nariz --

I thought that you were an atheist; so your spiritual insights are completely void of any real truth and understanding on the subject.

And if you DID believe that there was a God, then I would encourage you to read your Bible, because you don't know a thing about Jesus Christ and who He is.

For starters, Jesus said, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Light. No man comes unto the Father except by me."

And in response to how a man goes to heaven, Jesus said, "You must be born-again"....through faith in Jesus Christ.

Muslims, including Khomenie (sp), do not embrace either of these passages, therefore rejecting the gospel and Jesus Christ.

What does Jesus say will happen to those who reject Christ? I think you know that much.
