Why would they be allowed back in? Why would they not be barred forever, from entering either Great Britian, or any member of the EU? Why should they be "on the lookout" for such people -- unless they intend to prevent their entry (which is not mentioned) or to promptly arrest them (ditto). Don't let them in. Make fighting with the enemy in Iraq, against British troops or allies of Great Britain, an offense. And make the sanction the stripping of citizenship.

Can't the most elementary measures of self-defense be contemplated?

Is it beyond the wit of MI5, MI6, the British government to think along these obvious lines? Must hundreds of agents be assigned to monitor, round-the-clock, in perpetuity, these fifty

Does "preparing" include arresting these fine folk when they arrive? Or will they be allowed in and merely watched until they complete their evil plans?

I believe that when a 'citizen' of a country attacks that country's own military forces, it should be considered TREASON.

Arrest the insects upon arrival and ship their arses to a secure, secret location and provide them a good ol fashioned military trial.

If found guilty, give them the punishment ordinarily meted out to those guilty of treason, and deport their families.

Why is it that a British citizen, subject to British laws, can go to Afghanistan or Pakistan, attend a para-military training camp and not be subject to prosecution? At these camps they are trained with lethal weaponry, indoctrinated with an extremist agenda and yet, on their return to Britain are not considered dangerous enough to prosecute. At the same time, a motorist who does not crash their car but who is found guilty of mild speeding is subject to fines, presumably because of the danger to human life. Why prosecute the small danger and ignore the greater danger?

Are British politicians aware of these absurdities?
Well perhaps a few are.

I have just finished reading “Celsius 7/7” by British Conservative MP Michael Gove. He gives his insights into the July 7th bombings, trying to explain why they happened and what was the ideology that motivated the perpetrators.

If you believe Michael Moore and his truly idiotic “Fahrenheit 911,” it would seem that the September 11th terrorists were motivated by the fact that a Republican and not a Democrat was in the White House!

Not so! In fact, this book is intended for those with an IQ greater than ten!

Gove discusses how the Radical Islam threat has been developing for decades, particularly since the fall of the Berlin Wall, when the West assumed that the “end of history was in sight.” Gove states

“W.H. Auden described the 1930’s as a “low dishonest decade.” Would that he had lived to see the 1990s. This was the decade in which the West forgot itself.”

Much of this book is quite funny.

For instance, throughout the 1990s Radical Islamic groups were allowed to set up their organisations in London. As the end of the decade approached, the greatest threat that the British believed they faced, along with many other people was the non-existent Millennium computer bug!

It was a time when a PC, Multi-cultural ethos enveloped the West. Much of this is now exposed as total madness.

As I say, Al-Qaeda operatives were free, if they chose, to live in London and pursue their Jihadist agendas. For instance, Abu Quatada, a radical cleric, published propaganda in support of Algerian Radical Islamic groups. Algerian Radical Islamic groups have been responsible for a civil war in Algeria that has cost the lives of 150,000 people and have employed tactics such as the mass beheading of civilians. He is subject to British Law yet no action has been taken against him. A police investigation was, however, carried out when Anne Robinson , a TV presenter made impolite comments about the Welsh!

Marx, I believe, stated that history repeats itself first as tragedy and then as comedy. Having read this, you will probably believe that Marx got it wrong.
We are in the comedy stage. The really tragic stage, much worse than the July 7th bombings, will soon follow unless much more effective action is taken.

The current Government policies are hopeless. For instance, after the July 7th bombings, the Government set up various “think-tanks” which were supposed to tackle the problem of Islamic extremism. Various prominent Muslims were
invited to contribute, including one who had praised Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman, the radical cleric behind the 1993 bomb attack on the World Trade Centre!

After reading this I felt it is doubtful whether Blair and his cronies have a clue as to what we are dealing with, or, if they do, whether they are really prepared to fight with sufficient vigour to defeat the extremists.

Will thing get better if the Conservatives win the next British General Election?

Well who knows? The problem of “Londonistan” has been developing for some time, long before May 1997.

One thing is sure. Come the next British General Election, anyone who aspires to be an MP, be they Labour, Conservative or whatever, must make clear what their view on Radical Islam is. They must indicate that they understand what it is and how they think it can be defeated.

Why are they being allowed to return?? is it a Muslims right to take vacation time to go across the world to Murder for Allah and then return to their lives in a Free Democratic society? shouldn't be . Talk about having your cake and eating it too.

Treason is the ONLY word to describe British Citizens who take up arms against British Soldiers anywhere in the world and the still legitimate sentence for treason is DEATH. If any 'so called' Citizens can be proved to have fought against British soldiers then God help the PC apologist who tries to argue their case. If you accept the passport you accept the responsibilities and liabilities that go with it.

This item just demonstrates how useless Britain is these days.. I constantly argue with "citizens" of the Isles, Scots, Welsh, Brits who are all over mohammadans with apologia..

I agree with the above poster, all of those Jihadi's are traitors, and that the authorities would even allow them to come back is treason (and stupidity) then again I discovered, by reading "Inside the Jihad" that England has given a free pass to all terrorist and Islamists, they have been given free reign to organize, raise funds, propagandize, with one proviso that they keep their activities outside of England.

Now this immoral corrupt self serving policy of turning a blind eye so long as no harm is done in the Isles, is producing unintended adverse consequences e.g. blowback.. and good for them, just like Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, France they are going to have to feel the pain before they wake up...

Wait. America felt the pain on 9-11 and still hasn't woke up..our beloved President thinks Islam is a religion of peace and love, distorted by a handful of radicals and to prove it he is appointing a Sunni Muslim as Ambassador to the U.N. and Cheney drops his dinner and flies over to Saudi Arabia when summoned by King Abdullah.

I cannot believe that these traitors will be permitted to return to the U.K. and pick up where they left off! I guess there's no such thing as treason any more, neither there nor here.

I believe it is logical to be neat, organized, and disciplined because it's much easier to avoid a mess than to clean one up. In this case, it would be expedient to eliminate the potential threats rather than surveil them, especially since they are useless, worthless, perfidious miscreants. Tony Blair recently implored British muslims to "integrate", yet they are permitted to betray the U.K. with impunity. Wow, what a mixed signal that sends.

If they don't fear reprisals for treason, they are very dangerous and capable of anything. But I suppose if radical islamic/terrorist organizations have been allowed to flourish in London and operate freely for decades, a little jihad in Iraq is no big deal. But it does beg the question: why are these loyal muslim holy warriors living in the West instead of their beloved islamic lands?

Yep , straight back to their Welfare benefits , restaurants and corner shops without a single word of condemnation or criticism from our dhimmi government .
In a bygone age they wouldn't have dared show their faces again in the UK after such treachery . Their properties and assets would have been seized by the state .
In our 'enlightened' age , however , it is loyal citizens who are squeezed by harsh taxation and curtailment of freedoms whilst these sh*ts are protected by the police from any 'backlash'. Over six hundred fought for the Taliban in Afghanistan , and returned to what sanction ? Not a thing is the answer
