Sunni/Shi'ite Jihad Update: "US security plan will 'crush Sunnis,'" from AAP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
THE leader of an al-Qaeda-backed Islamist body in Iraq urged followers to be ready to confront a US-backed security plan in Baghdad, saying it was an Iranian ploy to hit Sunni Muslims, an Internet statement said.Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced a major security plan for Baghdad on Saturday, vowing to crush illegal armed groups "regardless of sect or politics'' - suggesting he may be ready to tackle militias loyal to his fellow Shi'ites, as demanded by Washington and the once dominant Sunni minority.
But the so-called Islamic state in Iraq, a body set up by al-Qaeda in Iraq, called the plan an attempt to "crush Sunnis in Baghdad and destroy their mosques'', according to the statement posted on a website used by Islamists which was monitored in Dubai today.
"Sheikh Abu Omar al-Baghdadi has issued orders to all ... Baghdad brigades of the Islamic state in Iraq to be ready to repulse the attacks that the (Iranian) gangs are expected to launch on Sunni areas in coming days under the guise of the Baghdad security plan,'' the statement said.

Crush the Sunnis, if only. If we fought wars the way we used to, instead of the patty-cake way we do now(not the military's fault, the fault of the bleeding hearts in govenments all around the world), the Sunni Triangle would have become the Sunni Pancake a long time ago.

Find all and kill all jihadis.
Find all mullahs inciting hatred and violence and bring them to justice.
Destroy all infrastructure used in support of such jihadis and Islamic leaders.
Give them their jihad - give them their martyrdom until people begin to reconsider. Jihad fighting must be renounced as a means to any end.

I should have qualified my 'all' in my statements. We need to go after state-sponsored Islam and destroy it. This type of success will have a huge impact on those believers in free nationd. Nothing succeeds like success. We need to tell the world in direct terms that the U.S. will take out Islamic regimes. Then we need to do it several times. Iran first.
While I don't necessarily think we should stop the effort at the limits of State Islam, as Dr. Lewis suggests, I do think that we need to be serious and direct about removing Islam from political power in all cases and also severing the financial support of Islam by the State.
Removing the Iranian regime militarily would drastically change the equation.
The beginning of the end rests in the elimination of state-sponsored Islam worldwide.

The coalition should get out. Find a face saving reason to scram and let those Sunni's and Shi'ites go at each other. They are going at each other anyway. The coalition could then insure against direct intervention by Iran/Syria/others. Once the dust settles and there is only one man standing, he can easilly be knocked over, or may be open to an offer he cant refuse. Sunni's and Shi'ites deserve each other. Allah created all this mess by the process of predestination. A long time ago I tried to convince Allah that predestination would lead to all kinds of super-complicated situations and events. But would he listen?? Nooo, not him, someone told him that he was all knowing, and now he believes it. Now look at the mess Allah has gotten us into. Next time I see him, I will bring it up again. I might have to get stern with him if he wont listen...he hates it when I get stern with him...

What the jihadist don't mention is that we infidels don't have to kill anyone, the Muslims are slaughtering each other in Iraq.
Bush attempted to create a perfected Muslim Democratic State. A Westernised version of the Taliban/ Al Queda or even Iranian Islamic Republic bull crap. A muslim state is not the solution to peoples problems. A muslim state is in it's self a problem.
Hundreds of billions of dollars coming from America coupled with thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of American wounded will not change that fundamental reality.
Trying to perfect the Islamic State will not solve anything. We should have pumped all those resources and lives into creating a Secular State that recognised no religion. Now that would be something worth fighting for not this monstrosity of muslim fanaticism we are currently building in Iraq.
