Jihadists caught in Tunisia with blueprints of foreign embassies, diplomats' names

Tunisian government officials confirm new jihad activity. "In Tunisia, extremists bore blueprints," by Bouazza Ben Bouazza for AP:

TUNIS, Tunisia - Islamic extremists involved in a deadly fire fight with police this month had blueprints of foreign embassies and documents naming foreign envoys, Tunisia's official news agency quoted the interior minister as saying Friday.
Interior Minister Rafik Haj Kacem described the extremists as "terrorists" in a closed door meeting with members of Tunisia's governing party, the TAP news agency reported.
It was the first time authorities had made available official information on the Jan. 3 confrontation with police that left 14 people dead — two of them members of the security forces.
Run with an iron fist, this country of some 10 million people, a tourist haven for Europeans, has largely been spared Islamic extremist violence. However, 21 people — mostly German tourists — were killed in a 2002 suicide attack on a synagogue on the Tunisian resort island of Djerba. Investigators linked the attack to al-Qaida.
Fifteen people were arrested following the Jan. 3 clash in Soliman, a town 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Tunis, the capital. An initial clash with security forces on Dec. 23 left two dead and two police officers injured. The minister said three police officers were injured but it was not immediately clear whether that was in addition to the two injured in December.
Blueprints of some foreign embassies and documents with the names of some foreign diplomats were seized following the fire fights, TAP quoted the minister as telling leading members of the ruling Democratic Constitutional Rally party. He did not name the embassies or identify the diplomats whose names figured on the documents, according to TAP.
Explosives described as locally made also were seized, Kacem told the politicians.
The minister also appeared to link the group to the Salafist Group for Call and Combat, the main insurgency movement in neighboring Algeria, saying they were "Salafist terrorists."
The interior minister, confirming press reports, said a portion of the group had crossed into Tunisia from Algeria, which has been battling an Islamic insurgency since 1992.
He did not provide nationalities for group members or a total number. Press reports have said that its leaders were Tunisian but that there was a Mauritanian among them.
Authorities had earlier referred to the group simply as "criminals."

That's being charitable. At least some of these losers are now dead. Good riddance.

"Bouazza Bouazza..."

Hashem Hashem. Ahmad Ahmad. Aziz Aziz. And so on.

The naming-system known as kunya has received plenty of attention. But surely the Arab fondness for tautonyms also cries out for analysis.

"Run with an iron fist"
-- from the article above

Just as Ataturk did. The only way, at least for the first century, to constrain Islam.

whatever the authorities did to provoke the terrorists into a shootout before the explosives could be deployed should be done more often.....it is far easier to shoot them when they are shooting at you, then it is to try and find some mysterious unknown bomber.....

Good thing Tunisia lacks democracy-otherwise it would be another one of those murderous Islamic utopias afflicting the world.

Okay, I'm trying to sound "progressive." Now, pardon me while I take a puke, and wash my mouth out with LIE SOAP! (Yup, pun intended -- sorry.)

It wasn't that these innocent Islamists were going to USE the blueprints. In fact, they didn't even know how they got them, but then when they found that they had them, they were only going to sell them to the peaceful imams in the Muslim Community so that they could send greeting cards to the embassy personnel!

By the way, the innocent gunmen were only shooting at UFO's they saw in the area - trying to defend the world and all you know!

They were misunderstood unfairly!

Does anyone know if Tunisia's constitution is the Shariah?

Robert

I have your book 'Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). But now you have a book out called 'Politically Correct Guide to Islam'? Where can I get it? ;->

Congratulations on the pamphlet. Does it have anything that your books don't have? Also, how is your new book coming along? Title finalized?

Geee , wasn't it Tunisia ,Boston, Montreal, Ottawa and a few other stops that were all part of the Globe Trotting by Maher Arar once he got his Canadian PassPort .

BTW, below is a notice on the CAIR-Canada website that endorses the CBC show where Muslims are superior and Christians are redneck idiots and bigots , so far the show has Hijab wearing females and a segragated Mosques for praying when males and females are in it.
One sceen has a Minister of a Church opening it for Muslims to find a spot to pray , but of course along comes a redneck Islamophobe from the area and he peaks in and see chanting and bowing and a foreign language being spoken .
So he runs to a phone to call the RCMP Terrorist Hotline and reports these terrorists praying in a Church.
CAIR would never accept "Little Church on the desert" which would have a Saudi setting and the Christians were all enlightened while the Muslims and Arab were morons and idiots.

It's no surprise that the producer once worked for the CBC and was schooled at Rhyerson which
cranks out the Poli-Sci degrees, for CAIR to condone the overt bigotry against Christians under the guise of humour merely peals off another layer of the poison Onion and expose more of what the rest of us already know about Apostasy and Caliphates.

"Little Mosque on the Prairie" : A Satirical on the Challenges and Opportunities of Multiculturalism
Tuesday, January 09, 2007 3:29 pm

- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -

(Ottawa, Canada - Jan. 9, 2006) The Canadian Council on American Islamic-Relations (CAIR-CAN) welcomes CBC's new comedy, Little Mosque on the Prairie. The sitcom, whose first episode was previewed by CAIR-CAN, takes a humorous look at a rural mosque's congregation and their attempt to live in harmony with other residents of their prairie town.
Intended for a broad Canadian audience, Little Mosque on the Prairie adds depth and color to Canada's Muslims in a way that viewers have yet to see. "The sitcom is a satirical take on the challenges and opportunities that Canadians face when dealing with new cultures and religions," said Karl Nickner, Executive Director of CAIR-CAN.
Whether or not this comedy will gain wide appeal remains to be seen. This will be determined, by-in-large, by the quality of the comedy presented and whether or not Canadians as a whole feel they can relate to the material presented.
"Canadian Muslim identity is part of our country's fabric. This first attempt is a welcome addition to Canadian popular culture and hopefully will not be the last," added Nickner.

MUSLIMS caught in America had blueprints to airports and even have the passenger lists....go figure ....

Posted by: exsgtbrown [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 12, 2007 5:21 PM

2 Points:

From the office of Rep. Mohammed jr. Elison;
These Muslims only had the embassy blueprints and dipolmatic names to send Happy Ramadan cards and send a Kwanza tree.

and:

Is it possible for President Bush to get Mr. Tunisian Iron Fist to run Congress and be our United Nations ambassador.

Thought for the day: There are 79,700 references to "Muslim outrage" in Google and 39,600 references to "Muslim peace".
But there are 281,000 references for Christian Peace and only 731 references in Google for "Christian outrage."

From the article

Blueprints of some foreign embassies [...] were seized

Isn't Osama Bin Laden trained as an architect? Perhaps they were impressed by the dramatic styling of the embassy, and were just admiring the old-world craftsmanship.

Well what did they think, the islamists would stop at unknown civilians. What dummies, of course they are targeting you they are in the guvment and they have access to diplomatic lists, among other lists, the deeper they go the more they have. Which brings to question, how many American officials have received death threats directed at not them but their family? That is after all their MO. I think Americans will finally wake up when they see the first teacher set on fire because he didn’t conform to their ideology. Why do I say he? Cause women don’t exist as women in their world.

Lame Cherry, maybe we should start referring to it as the ROR (Religion of Rage).

Hey Lame Cherry!

I Googled those terms and came up with quite different numbers. What were your exact entries?

Thanks,
