Like those odds? Didn't think so. "Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri Addresses U.S. President Bush’s Baghdad Security Plan in Video Speech from as-Sahab, 'The Correct Equation' – 1/2007," from the SITE Institute:
Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda’s number two, presents a speech titled: “The Correct Equation,” in a 14:11 minute video produced by the group’s multimedia arm, as-Sahab. The speech, including English-subtitles, concerns the Iraq security plan announced by U.S. President George W. Bush to send an additional 20,000 American troops to Baghdad, and the necessity of the Muslims joining the Mujahideen and supporting their jihad in all theaters of war, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Chechnya, Somalia, and Algeria. Zawahiri taunts Bush, questioning: “why send 20,000 only - why not send 50 or 100 thousand? Aren't you aware that the dogs of Iraq are pining for your troops' dead bodies?.” He then invites the American President to send the entire American Army to Iraq as he believes the Mujahideen are capable of destroying the equivalent of ten armies.
Continuing his interpretation of Bush’s address, or “ravings,” Zawahiri clarifies that America has not deprived al-Qaeda of safe haven in Afghanistan, as the Taliban under the command of Mullah Muhammad Omar have deprived the Americans of such in that country, evidenced by their bringing NATO to the forefront of the war. He then turns to the American people, reminding of past offers of security by reaching an “understanding” with Muslims, and warns that if they continue to follow the policies of Bush and his administration, then peace is impossible. The “correct equation,” as Zawahiri puts it, is security being a shared destiny, but not guaranteed. He states: “if we are secure, you might be secure, and if we are safe, you might be safe. And if we are struck and killed, you will definitely - with Allah's permission - be struck and killed.”
The correct equation: 2 + 2 = 5.
The remainder of the speech serves to incite Muslims to jihad, using Bush’s security plan and continuing actions in Afghanistan and Iraq, and now Somalia, as justification. Zawahiri argues that every Muslim today is responsible for the defense of Islam and the efforts to “liberate” Muslim captives, foremost being the “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel Rahman. Zawahiri also entreats “Arab nationalists and leftists” to return to Islam and refuse international law that has divided their land and Muslim Nation.

Looks like he is whistling in the dark. We should send more. But not to Iraq. Let's send 100,000 troops to Pakistan. Cut them off and herd them all into Afghanistan where we'll be waiting for these cockroaches. No embedded reporters either.

Ah Doc Zawahiri is winning as he is in hiding like a gopher in a hole, Iraq is a victory as Islamocommunists blow each other up and bin Laden .....well he must be wearing a golden crown, clothed in pearl cloth and pooping prophecy as he is so busy on his world tour he no longer has time to issue fatwahs, fatwoos or fatwhatevers.

I believe "might" is the operative word in this statement and the only word that matters coming from the mouth of that swine al-Zawahiri.
I think "might" should also be the only word that matters in reference to US foreign policy, as enacted by the US military.

Al-Zawahiri and his ilk are monsters, not to mention agents of darkness, ignorance and intolerance. A suitable response from the civilised world to them is to continue to mock and insult their hell-sourced beliefs. And whilst they revel in death and violence, we know that the fury induced by insightful and truly recognisable humour about their mad death cult is their Achilles' heel. Time, perhaps, for another round of international anti-jihadi cartoons entitled: "We might stop mocking your beliefs if you just keep them to yourselves and stop trying to harm us because the pen is mightier than the jihadi's sword."

Also I noted he studied psychology and he seems to have learned how to apply it.

Americans should take part of the advice of AlZawhiri.
Well the part where he says send 100000 troops.
But send them into Pakistan where terorrists like
Osama, AlZawhiri and others find a safe sanctuary and time to make these videos and plan their activities.
Once they got no place to hide in pakistan then the real bravery of these people will be a fun sight to see because we all know how brave these people are who fire rockets from civilian localities and bomb inonncent democratic civilians and call it holy war.
Its just becasue Pakistan is safe Haven for them ,that they can afford to find time to make such threats. Make them run for their life and leave them no time to even breathe freely, leave alone making videos and planning terorrism

Some good news coming in...it looks like the Presidents troop surge is already showing results:
"al Qaida appears to be retreating from Baghdad. A military intelligence officer has confirmed to Richard Miniter, editor of Pajamas Media, a report in the Iraqi newspaper al Sabah that Abu Ayyub al Masri, the head of al Qaida in Iraq, has ordered a withdrawal to Diyala province, north and east of Baghdad.
Mr. al Masri's evacuation order said that remaining in Baghdad is a no-win situation for al Qaida, because the Fallujah campaign demonstrating the Americans have learned how to prevail in house to house fighting, Mr. Miniter said."

This statemnt from Zawahiri is taqiyya at its VERY WORST. Because what this guy is doing is playing to the "don't hurt me crowd." He has every intention of inflicting harm on the non-Islamic world (PLENTY OF IT) as soon as he can.
But some people are so scared, they will believe ANYTHING and lie to us about it.
We cannot afford to believe anything people like Zawahiri tell the west publicly. It is almost certainly taqiyya--dangerous taqiyya.
