Iran Revolutionary Guards Quds Force director detained in Iraq

An update on this story. "U.S. envoy: Iran Revolutionary Guards Quds Force director detained," by Steven R. Hurst for Associated Press:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - The U.S. ambassador said Wednesday that one of the Iranians detained by U.S. forces in Iraq during two raids over the past month was the director of operations for Iran's Revolutionary Guard Quds faction, the organization responsible for funding and arming Iraqi militants.
Zalmay Khalilzad said the recent raids were part of a "new strategy" to "go after their networks that are active here."
[...]
At least eight Iranians have been detained in Iraq recently, including two diplomats in a Dec. 21 roundup of a group of 10 suspects. The diplomats were interrogated and released to Iranian officials eight days later.
Six others were captured Jan. 11 at an Iranian liaison office in the northern city of Irbil. One was released and five are still believed in U.S. custody.
"Some of those we've arrested are Quds Force operatives. One of them was director of operations for the Quds Force" who was in the country without the knowledge of Iraqi security officials, he said.
The ambassador, who has been nominated by President Bush as Washington's envoy to the United Nations, said U.S. forces were detaining Iranians because "we've had a good understanding of the equipment that comes across (the border), particularly about the EFPs (explosively formed projectiles)." Those are high-tech roadside bombs capable of piercing armor on U.S. vehicles.
"And (we're) also concerned about the training and the money and the influence" by Iran inside Iraq.
[...]
He said Iran had set its sites on becoming the dominant power in the Middle East and was taking advantage of Iraq's "weakened state" and "throwing its weight around."
[...]
Khalilzad said Iranian agents were working with "a variety of groups, and there are groups that they fund and control, in my judgment, directly."
The ambassador said U.S. officials soon would outline in detail the activities of the arrested Iranians, as demanded by Tehran's ambassador in Baghdad.
"Since he was good enough to say we should present what we have, we will be helpful and try to do that - where we found them, what they were doing, what is coming from Iran across the border. ... We will have something for you in the coming days," he said.

aberjabber stated that he will destroy Israel and America..........

and his troops are found in iraq fighting against America.

how much additional does iran have to do before the feds in America realize that we are at war with iran and are not fighting this war just as America is not fighting the war with the cult of islam.

God help us from the rampant stupidity and ignorance in Washington DC. the 1930's are repeating and December 7 will repeat twice in America in less than seven years.........

prepare, be armed be ready.....for war is coming to America and across the world.........

God bless America, Israel, England, Canada, Australia, Ethiopia, Darfur and our Fighting Forces and keep us free.

This is an act of war against the United States by a hostile foreign government, which is soon to have a nuclear weapon, and has made no secret that is wants to destroy America (and Israel) in an apocalyptic end of times?"

Why is the MSM sitting on their hands about this story?

Oh I can hear the theocratic regime in Tehran howling even from here: "American forces have kidnapped our Diplomats in Iraq!"
As well as the resulting charges in the U.N. General ASSembly of American sponsored terrorism. Already the Iranian foreign minister complained of the U.S. violating the Vienna Convention regarding treatment of diplomats.

This is what the MSM will pick up on, Xero G. Afterall, it's only black-hearted America which is in the business of terrorism and colonialism.

What can be done to vet a country's diplomatic corps, when the American presence in Iraq is only seen as that of aggressors?

"Oh I can hear the theocratic regime in Tehran howling even from here: "American forces have kidnapped our Diplomats in Iraq!"

......these same yoyos were singing a different tune in 1979 when they stormed the American Embassy in Tehran and held American diplomats for 444 days...

.....And the American diplomats were not storing massive weapons caches inside the embassy nor sending out suicide bombers nor giving instructions on how to place IEDs...

...Let the Muslims whine...They are so afraid of Islam, I think they suffer from Islamophoebia....

....We should treat the captives just like the Muslims treat the Iraeli captives (who have not been seen since they were captured).......

....War is Hell...Last man standing wins...

Its no wonder we are losing the war.

We caught and released people aiding and abetting the enemy.

Kind of like leaving the driver of the car in a bank robbery off scott free.

Who's running things--------MUSLIM'S

Same reason as they go on barking that there was no connection between Saddam and OBL despite much evidence to the contrary and there were no WMDs despite much evidence that he was actively pursuing all manner of WMDs and managed to hide almost off of the contraband in Syria with a little help from his Russian friends. Same reason they never give any context to Israel's defensive actions against Palestinian and Hezbollah terror:

It would embarass the hell out of them to admit that there are greater menaces to global peace and security than the Bush administration and Israel.

Prepare a place of honor at Gitmo for this Iranian guest.

As for the US doing something regarding Iran we can expect nothing on that count. The Islamaniacs scream how cruel and merciless the US is-we know better. The US is merely reactive rather than proactive-we await a horror worse than 9/11 to finally deal with Iran. Being reactive is our biggest mistake-a lot more people will have to die needlessly to make that perfectly clear.

OK, everything is clear cut here regarding ALL their fates.....EXECUTE THEM VIA FIRING SQUAD.

1. They are not covered under the Geneva Convention so they are exempt from all protections.
2. They were caught in civilian clothing so they are unmarked and classified as partisans and guerillas who are not given protections.
3. They were al there obviously to wage war to attempt to kill or maim US troops when we are NOT at war with that nation at this time.

EXECUTE THEM TODAY!!

C'mon now Hungarian Crusader - How about strapping them to the hood of a Humvee on Haifa street or in Sadr City to see how they like EFP's. If they survive a week - Gitmo.

NPR alert: A woman with an Arabic accent who is from the UN is beating the drums for "Iraqi refugees". She says: "They have done tuthink foor da peeple."

God I am SICK of this crap! The moslems kill each other and steal each others' houses and so we're supposed to give them new homes in the West. What else do they mean when they use the words: "International community". "Access to resources" and all that other internationalist garbage.

It is always US who pick up the tab. It is US who die as a result.

The UN might do well to consider the effrects of their misguided actions on the LOCAL POPULATIONS who are subjected to living among ever-increasing floods of hostile "refugees".

WE now have a "well-founded fear of death or persecution" WE are becoming refugees within our own lands!!

The Women in Sweden who get raped by these brutes.. THEY are the refugees!! WHERE do THEY go??!!!

What country can they go to for asylum? shall they go to turkey?!

NPR need to be closed down. Via the unfairness doctrine.

I can still hear them lobbying right now for "accepting refugees in large numbers". "Moral obligation" "before they suffer further".

These "highminded" asshats should take these refugees into their OWN damn homes! Let them slaughter their goats in their liberal bathtubs.

See them rape their daughter when she gets home from Dartmouth.

oh no.. these liberals NEVER pay that price!

WE are the ones who do.

The islamos will spare the liberals until they've been handed the keys to the store completely and the liberals have nothinbg left to hand over to them.

NO MORE REFUGEES!!!! Christians and Jews only.
I also would liek to see "Refugee reviews" to keep track of their criminal and other behaviours and if there is anything that they have done they can be returned home. I mean for those who are already here.

Posted by: MeanieMo at January 26, 2007 02:37 PM

Yeah, Naturally Putrid Radio needs to be closed down. My fear is that then the government idiots who fund this drivel will waste that money on something worse-like handing it over to those eternal victims known as the palestinians. No matter what we try, we can't win.

Posted by: ISLAMSFORLOSERS [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 26, 2007 2:43 PM

So here we have NPR devoting an entire HOUR to lobbying for bringing "refugees" to the United States!!!

Can we say TREASON!!!

They are still on the subject.

The woman with the accent is whining that we need to "fix it". We fixed it long ago. There's nothing we can do for these people short of getting them off islam.

Talk about getting people off CRACK.

THIS problem is so much worse. For them and for us.
Can we just up and leave them there?

Posted by: MeanieMo [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 26, 2007 2:44 PM

If they don't talk, bury them where you find them, that's the best POW policy for Iranians, who officially, are not in Iraq.

Posted by: Catawhumpus [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 27, 2007 5:32 PM

MeanieMo-

And isn't it sad that Coptic Christians, Chaldeans in Iraq, Pakistani Christians, and other minorities in Islamic lands are not even considered for asylum in most Western countries, while people like the Somalians do get asylum and end up straight on the dole.
