Global jihad encounters technical difficulties

The jihad conference in Australia was supposed to be beamed to eager jihadists around the world, but the techies dropped the ball. World dominance may be a bit farther down the road than they're hoping. "Radical cause hits a glitch," by Sian Powell in The Australian, with thanks to JE:

A DAY-long conference in Sydney's Lakemba run by the fundamentalist Muslim organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir, known for its anti-democratic, anti-Semitic views, was meant to be beamed out across the world via a live webcast. "Hizb-ut Tahrir Australia is proud to present the Khilafah conference Sydney 2007," the site said. "This live webcast will bring together Islamic knowledge, content and community to deliver a connected experience throughout the day."

The keynote speaker was Hizb ut-Tahrir's Indonesian chairman Ismail Yusanto, the radical who has previously demanded the jailing of US President George Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair for the "war crime" of the 2003 Iraq invasion. But the Khilafah webcast was beset with all sorts of problems, boding ill for Hizb ut-Tahrir's future world dominance, or even an Islamic super-state (another of its favoured ideas). To begin with, there was neither vision nor sound. Then there were disjointed pictures, almost a frame at a time, but still no sound. Viewers from across the world, waiting for the webcast, sent in questioning messages but the site remained unresponsive, apart from some posted instructions, none of which worked.

I guess Allah does not have enough power to fix them and get on with world wide Jihad....Reminds me of Baals worshippers...Talking to a dead rock.

"To begin with, there was neither vision nor sound.... "

Well,,I sure hope that's correct. Then they can't get it on youtube!

they need to have unbelievers "kaffirs" do their work for them, as muslims excell is killing by ambush and unarmed civilians.

Surely it is possible to make sure that these technical difficulties become more and more frequent, for Al-Jazeera and Al-Manar and tutti quanti (oops, what's this sudden pornographic clip we see, and that our womenfolk might accidentally see, or others, in our culture of shame, think that they might have seen?), so that the new means of disseminating the message and venom of Hizb-u-Tahrir and similar groups becomes ever more difficult and worrisome an undertaking.

Wouldn't that be great?? Knock them out with technology! Painless, and effective.
Surely some govt agencies must be onto this by now, and if not: why not?

Worked about as well as the whole Islamic world.

Hmmmp-we dumb like stump. May as well go threaten some Infidels, show world we mean business.

Yep - hampered by technology, but I do feel bad for them.
After all, we get to use mice - they have to use camels.

I guess we cannot expect TOO MUCH techno-savvy from a movement whose ultimate goal is to return to the 6th century!!

Hopefully the feeds to ASIS and ASIO remained in place...

I (stoically) went to the meeting although I left early (about 12:15 pm). There were about 300 people in attendance, 75% males and 25% females (segregated in their own section). There was a mix of audio-visual material and presentations by the four main speakers. The web site for the conference is http://www.risala.org/khilafah-conference/. As the paper reported the web site real time web cast was
non functional. Pity, I would have liked to see the other speakers.

How significant is all this? Certainly there is no end to the ambition of these people. Take the draft "constitution" (direct from the web site). Some sections are listed below for your edification and perhaps amusement. I for one am setting out to highlight the belief structure and plans for these groups. They are, at least, admirably upfront about their plans. It's past time we took to the streets to oppose these people and their plans at every level.

Article 2
The domain of Islam (Daar ul-Islam) is that entity which applies the rules of Islam in life’s affairs and whose security do Muslims maintain. The domain of disbelief (Daar ul-Kufr) is that entity which applies the rules of kufr and whose security is maintained by the kuffaar

Article 8
Arabic is the language of Islam and the sole language of the State.

Article 11
The primary function of the State is the propagation of the invitation (da’wah) to Islam.

Article 12
The only evidences to be considered for the divine rules (aHkaam shar’iyyah) are: the Qur’an, the Sunnah, the consensus of the Companions (ijmaa’ us-SaHaabah) and analogy (qiyaas). Legislation cannot be taken from any source other than these evidences

Article 26
Every mature male and female Muslim, who is sane, has the right to participate in the election of the Khaleefah and in giving him the pledge (ba’iah). Non-Muslims have no right in this regard.

Muslims aren't too bright -- no wonder they're angry all the time.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 28, 2007 9:49 PM

I'm sure someone will be beheaded for this. Silly Muslims.

I just went on the kalifa website and signed their petition as follows :-)

I do NOT consider moslems citizens of any Western Country. They are members of what they call the "umma". Since they don't recognize our sovereign nations as such they cannot be considered as citizens of such. They must be considered as hostile foreign agents. The sooner we realize this threat the less the damage will be to all sides once the inevitable resolution of this conflict unfolds.

We'll just get on with it.
Islam is so easy to exterminate: it is basically a Piss in The Wind.

Mother Ecclesiastica.
Posted by: Mother Ecclesiastica

I am honestly awaiting the extermination of islam. And I sincerely hope it will be as easy as you suggest.

Call me an "unbeliever" in this regard but I will happily keep and open mind awaiting the good news.

Someone wake me up when islam is exterminated.. :-)

By the way.. if any of you go on there to "sign the petition" be careful you don;t accidentally 'donate'. Certain browsers have your paypal info on instant recall so please be careful. The petition is activated on first click. Just don't go any further after that.

And DON't use any real info about yourself either ;-) I always make up some name that takes a piss out of alla or mahomet whenever I subvert one of their little poll petitions or comment on their websites.

Thanks Meanie.

Keep smiling. We got the bastards by their short and curlies...
Posted by: Mother Ecclesiastica

Hey I am willing to help of course and do my part. Just forgive me if I am a bit skeptical about getting rid of the scum without a HUGE conflict first.

Posted by: MeanieMo [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 29, 2007 12:22 AM

The war against Islam to rid them from our countries when the time comes will we long and bloody, world war two style they will ambush and hit and run we will have so show plenty of resolve and be prepared to take heavy casulties.

The west has to harden up.

There ya go. No worries - not one of them is sane !

Posted by: ImNoDhimmi [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 29, 2007 7:59 AM

ImNoDhimmi: I demand immediate compensation for the mouthful of coffee I just ejected onto my keyboard.

Mother E: Based on multiple similar incidents to the above, you owe me a motza!!

Metalstorm: I respectfully disagree with your suggestion of taking to the streets. We need to be persistent in opposing them on talk-back; commenting on newspaper articles; sending factual, documented information to broadcasters who are not quite there yet, whatever we can do - persistently and with integrity.

Frankly, I'd like to do more but I just don't know what!

Posted by: SandiM [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 29, 2007 9:06 AM

Was the US Democratic Party planning to send Nancy Pelosi over there to be a speaker at this event? (I'll bet the CAIR folks would have gladly paid for her airfare too!).

Maybe they can get Jane Fonda to speak over there; perhaps Cindy Sheehan, Tim Robbins, and Harry Belafonte would like to go too.
