Only a speaker of arabic could understand, even though it had been translated by 2 arabic scholars.

I want to know if these kids that use the book are trained in how to read things "in context" .
(it will not be removed from the schools).

I bet most of them have English as their first language so how would they interpret any of these books?

They are not going to be withdrawn so the kids can read bits of them any time. Where will that lead?

There must be a book out somewhere or a website that gives muslims all the "stock" answers for when being interviewed by the media.

If it was the reverse and a Christian school was using obviously racists books there would be a huge outcry - why are we , the majority standing for this - is it just cowardice - the school should obviously be closed and any others with the same kind of literature

I am so sick and tired of this crap about how the texts "must be read in pure Arabic" to be correctly understood. Do I have to speak ancient Latin to understand Tacitus? Or Aramaic to udnerstand the Bible? Or ancient Greek to read Plato? This is insane! It is nothing more than the sick, perverted racism of the warped Arab mind and that's all! It is their racist belief that the worthless, murdering, robbing, raping, butchering desert tribes of Arabia are the salt of humanity and all other races and people are inferior. All her "explanation" does is to offend and outrage me more. She is simply saying that we are too stupid to understand the cause and effect of Islam that is taking place in front of our very eyes!

If these concepts have to be read in Arabic to be understood properly, what about all the tens of millions of Muslims who don't read Arabic? Did Mohammed Ali know how to read Arabic? Does Keith Ellison know how to read Arabic? Do all the Muslims in Indonesia read Arabic? If not, does that mean they will never properly understand Islam?

I'm beginning to get a strong impression that there is also a textbook studied by Muslims on how to refute the charges that where so ably politely leveled by the moderator toward this Islamic school administrator on this program. Time and time again you hear and see the same excuses given to defend Islamic text ,speeches,the Quran, Etc. "It is taken out of context, or it is a different interpretation when in Arabic";

I vividly recall the video showing the same excuses being thrown out at Dr. Wafi Sultan by a Sheike who told her that she was not interpretating what was said correctly because it was not in Arabic. To which Dr. Sultan reminded quite forcefully that more than 85Pct. of the worlds Muslims do not speak Arabic.

Great interview. Its heartening to see someone from the British media finally taking muslims to task for their blatant intolerance rather than acting so defensively about the usual muslim allegation of British intolerance. Just loved the look of utter disgust on the face of the lady reporter who clearly recognized the BS that the Islamic school spokeswoman was uttering.

You should visit London's "The Guardian" newspaper sometime and read comments from utterly disgusted Christian Londoners concerning the Muslims in their Midst. They are DISGUSTED!

Let me see if I have this right. The koran is eternal, existing in Heaven along with Allah, indeed as part of Allah. And Arabic is the language it's written in, and the language used by Allah to communicate with Mohammed, and the language that a believer must understand if he is to understand the koran correctly.
If this is right, then it's no wonder that Jesus, Moses, and the earlier prophets got it wrong. None of them spoke Arabic. It seems strange that an almighty god could not speak a language, or write his book in one, that his prophets could understand. A bit of a limitation on the almighty, to say the least. And then he has the nerve to get pissed off and consign the Jews and Christians to Hell because they didn't understand him! How petty.
But persistent; he went thru five major prophets and any number of minor ones before finally finding one who could understand his lingo -- a lecherous epileptic bandit named Mo.
