Hannity and even Colmes (video at Hot Air) try to pin him down about Iraq and about his attendance at pro-Hizballah rallies, but Colmes makes a key mistake when he asks him if he attended such rallies in Washington, when in fact they were in Dearborn. [CORRECTION: A commenter below says that Colmes mentioned Dearborn; sorry I missed it.]
A few quotes I dashed down:
"You talkin' to me?"
"I am generally against any occupation." Hmm. What occupation might he have in mind? "Any evil party. Any occupier occupying innocent people, an innocent land, and suck the wealth of the nation, whether that it is Middle East or somewhere else, generally."
Is Hizballah a terrorist organization? Simple yes or no question. "Hizballah is a Lebanese organization and I got nothing to do with that." Hannity returned to this one and never got a satisfactory answer.
Note the pattern: CAIR officials have danced around similar questions, as has Cat Stevens. This is becoming a handy guide to pseudo-moderation: if someone suddenly finds straight answers hard to come by when asked if he thinks a particular jihad group is a terrorist group, his moderation may not be all it is cracked up to be.
Meanwhile, neither Hannity nor Colmes asked him if he was referring to Israel as an occupier, which he almost certainly was, or made any reference at all to the call to conversion to Islam and implication that Jews and Christians are among those doomed by God.
And Hot Air also links to a story that mentions how Al-Husainy has in the past conferred with the Bush Pentagon -- a stick Alan Colmes tried to beat Steyn with last night. This was no doubt a result of the fact that Shi'ites were initially enthusiastic supporters of the campaign in Iraq, as Al-Husainy makes clear tonight. They saw that with Saddam out of power and the U.S. instituting "democracy," they had the numbers to seize power. Now that the Americans are waking up to the fact that by aiding the Shi'a they have in effect been abetting the creation of a Shi'ite Arab client state of Iran, the ardor for democracy has cooled among the once enthusiastic Shi'ite Jeffersonians.
UPDATE: Debbie Schlussel has a terrific list of questions Hannity and Colmes could have and should have asked Al-Husainy. If they had, the Imam would almost certainly have been contacted by the American Ballet Theatre.

Al-Husainy was spinning, dancing, bobbing and weaving like mad.
It was actually funny, there towards the end, when even Colmes was looking frustrated at not being able to get even one single straight answer out of this guy.

Fire them and get intelligent, well-prepared people to engage in what, for intelligent, well-prepared people, is a thankless task and an essentially moronic job. Some will, for these extraordinary times, be willing -- as they would not ordinarily be -- to sacrifice.

Apparently the questioning emails to Hannity and the execs at Fox lit a bigger fire under the Colmes & Hannity tag team asking why they are plagarists and not bringing on people like Mr. Spencer who actually understands the subject.
Good work to those who emailed Fox.

Colmes seems to realize the mistake he made in defending this idiot during the past week, and if you look at his facial expressions he seems really embarrassed, perhaps upon the realization that the views that the left categorizes as bigotted and therefore untrue may actually at least sometimes be true. I don't know why this imam agreed to appear, as he did nothing but make a fool of himself. Even Colmes got pissed. If I were a jihadist PR relations advisor I would tell him not to go on, and let people debate about why. But it was a really funny clip.

You know who he reminded me of? Smoking Joe Frazier ... that's who... all the bobbing and weaving and trying to not get hit by Ali. Only difference is, Frazier, in the middle of all the head weaving and bobbing was throwing solid punches at Ali. The Imam on the other hand was probably KOed within the first 30 seconds of the fight. In that sense, I should probably amend my initial statement. He was more Frank Bruno to Mike Tyson than Frazier to Ali. :-)
Enjoyed this enormously!

Another thing which tends to irritate me is this blythe reference to "People of the Book" that the Muslims use... as if by saying that, they are getting on the right side of all the Christians and the Jews. What about the rest of humanity mate? What about the Hindus and Buddhists and Jains and Sikhs and Bahaiis and Confuscians and Shintos and other religions that I might have missed out? What are your opinions on that? I wish someone would ask the Imam that and then watch him squirm a little more!

There is a radio broadcaster down in OZ where I live who is also Jewish like AC.
Whenever these types of discussions (anything to to with Israel or islam) comes up he tries so hard to be "even-handed" it makes me puke. Actually I no longer listen to him.
Perhaps the two of them confer?
My friend emailed said broadcaster and told him he was the most anti-semitic Jew she had ever heard.

Al-Husainy simply refused to answer to 'yes or 'no' questions posed by Hannity. Al-Husainy's taqiyya was consistently confusing and quite tedious to say the least. It actually got so bad, that Colmes, contrary to every fiber in his multiculturalistically afflicted mind, actually resorted to agreeing with Hannity and proceeded to pile on Husainy. Embarassing to say the least.
I could only laugh at the whole tragedy. All are to blame, including the producer of that mess. I agree with Hugh that they, "Dumb and Dumber", as "lifted" from me by Jan Sobieski previously in this thread, should be summarily replaced.

"So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. "
Strange. Every prayer I've heard from christian priests ask something like this:
"So guide them on the RIght Path back to you,God, for their salvation."
But they never talk about doom.
at February 9, 2007 12:39 AM
Exactly allat,
Christian pray to God to save those that need to be saved. Christians also peacefully go out and spread the word. People need to know why we make a big deal about people swearing on the Qu'ran, the current immigration crisis, and this imam who prayed at the DNC. It's not just to smear the Democrats. It's for a legitimate reason.

In other words the Pagans: as well as the American Indians (including Hopis and Mayas).
Moslems have no mercy on Pagans, because of worshipping "multiple gods." From what I read about the history of India, the islamics slaughtered the Hindus by the hundreds of thousands.

Colmes was embarassed because he knew what the taqiyya damage was doing to the DNC. They are either coconspirators or suckers.

After seeing his performance, I'd say that he did a better job for our side than even Robert, Debbie or Michele could have done. It was a good idea not to have anyone opposite him, but just let him speak. And at the end, he let the cat out of the bag on who he thought occupiers were.

Maybe if H & C had devoted more than 3 minutes to the interview they could have got this person to make a mistake and reveal his intentions. I find it ridiculous that FoxNews will give up on someone if they can last the whole three minutes. I've seen O'Reilly tell the music to stop cause he was going to linger but aren't H & C senior enough for that? If these blokes really wanted to get to the bottom of it rather than just having their "OK We need to interview this guy" box ticked then maybe they would have got somewhere.

Slightly OT but is pertinent to this discussion:
I found this video on Pamela Oshry's (atlas shrugs) site. The guy in this video attended a presentation about Islam at his local library. He asks the Muslim chaplains about taqiyya, sharia and Muhammed's marriage to Aisha. They too do the dance this Al-Husainy bastard does. Also, this is a good reference, a good how-to video for us if we want to attend an interfaith meeting, a Q and A session at the local library or local university and an open house at the local mosque. "WHO is the oppressor you referred to in your prayer!?"

Good , the BBC getting some deserved flack from the Sun newspaper >>>>>
IT sometimes seems the BBC would prefer terrorists to succeed than for an innocent man to be briefly held without charge.
In their politically correct bubble, intelligence is always flawed and anti-terror action is inevitably heavy-handed.
So the release of two suspects held over the alleged plot to behead a British Muslim soldier was a gift from heaven.
For 24 hours, BBC bulletins repeated the ludicrous claim by one of them that, for Muslims, Britain is a police state.
The truth is that these suspects were swept up in a legitimate raid by police who had reasonable grounds for suspicion — and freed after questioning.
That is not the action of a police state. Far from being too harsh, our police may have been too soft.
They should have cracked down sooner on the increasingly assertive minority who pay lip service to liberty but preach murder in the mosque.
Action should have been taken to prevent forced marriages and honour killings which, unforgivably, take place on British soil.
And marches over Danish cartoons by rabble-rousers calling for death to British soldiers should have been broken up on the spot.
It is time the BBC woke up to a dangerous truth.
Britain is at war with radicalised young Muslims who are willing to commit atrocities against a country which has offered them a home.
The BBC should stop sneering.
And give the police all the support they need to stop them.

From 69 up too 77, the Americans were kept in the dark about Islam, and that's only because Islam wants nothing of Christianity within Islam. I still maintain that "Is Hizbullah a terrorist organisation?" is not the correct question.
"Is Hizbullah an extremist organisation?" would be a better one to ask, as well as variations thereof.
Perhaps these interviewers could point to Hizbullah's supremacist views, its aggression against its own countrymen and Israel, its bigotry, and then ask him why this creepy little man was seen campaigning on behalf of such an organisation?
Surely an imam who speaks on behalf of 'moderate' Muslims in the US would have no problem disassociating himself from a murderous, brutal and supremacist movement as Hizbullah, which seems hell-bent on dragging Lebanon into civil war?

I'm curious about the trick he tried to get away with regarding Hezbollah -- and this is similar to the recent SFSU case...
At SFSU, stomping on a Hamas or Hezbollah flag was considered offensive (stomping on Israeli or American flags is legitimate, of course). Why? Because the name "Allah" is on those flags. Wow -- they get special status because they claim association with Allah.
Here, Al-Husainy doesn't address Hezbollah *the organization*. Instead, he hides behind Hezbollah *the name*. As if he isn't aware that:
- Hezbollah is the name of a political/religious/terrorist agency
- folks can call themselves anything they like.
Apparently, by choosing an unimpeachable name, the organization naturally achieves unimpeachable status!

I think this guy has no moral structure and is only a crowd pleaser if not a stirrer of some sort.
'Yes I agree with everyone’s opinions' but does he know they against each other? The trouble is he shows signs of actually having his heart in one place and by denying the questions when confronted like 'lie to the enemy' as mentioned in his holy book to does. To me it seems he would leave for the winning team and lack loyalty to everything he is supposed to represent.
Is he a diplomat?

Hannity just had him on his radio show.
The guy had a total meltdown and refused to answer two simple questions.
1) Is Hezbollah a terrorist organization?
2) Is Ahmadina-whatever anti-semetic?
Tge guy goes on a tirade about how Hannity is "breaking the law"? by asking him a question.
One MUST NOT QUESTION Muslims.
