The same AP story, posted at different times, identical except for different quotes from Ibrahim Hooper -- different quotes that say the same thing, but the second one isn't as harsh as the first one.

Originally the story said this:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations thinks Hirsi Ali's campaign amounts to slander and bigotry."We believe that contributes to a growing level of Muslim hatred in America," the council's communications director, Ibrahim Hooper, said in an interview Saturday. "It is unfortunate that she had to bring that kind of hate from Europe to the United States."
This was changed to:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations thinks Hirsi Ali's campaign amounts to slander and bigotry."We believe that she will bring an increase to the level of anti-Muslim bias in this country that we saw her bring to the situation in Europe," the council's communications director, Ibrahim Hooper, said in an interview Saturday. "Unfortunately her message is one of bigotry, not one of mutual understanding."
Compare the two story links and you'll see that the stories are otherwise identical.
Curious. I am not quite sure what to make of it. Allahpundit observes: "What we’re looking at here, I suspect (but obviously can’t prove), is Hooper having made the first comment during their interview, then gotten buyer’s remorse when he saw how shrill it looked in print. So he called up the AP hours after the fact and asked them to replace it with a more 'nuanced' version — and the AP agreed to do so." Is there another possible explanation? Could the author of this story, William C. Mann, have had some good reason of his own to replace the harsh quote with the softer one? I can't think of one, but there may be one. Or is he simply happy to do CAIR's bidding?

It is amazing (and sickening) that Mr. Hooper would accuse Ayaan Hirsi Ali of bringing a message of hate from Europe to the United States!
Moreover, maybe what is contributing to the growing level of hatred towards Muslims isn't anything Hirsi Ali has said, is saying or will ever say... but what Muslims have done, are doing and will continue to do!
On a personal note, I find Ibrahim Hooper a vile, repugnet waste of humanity... of course, that is just MY opinion.

It seems to me that muslims bring more hate and terror wherever they go, than any other group in history.

I think someone neeeds to tell Mr. Hooper, that what is indeed unfortunet, is that they (the Muslims) have brought their message of hate from the waste lands of Saudi Arabia to Europe, the United States, Canada, China, Russia, South America, Southeast Asia and Africa (and everywhere else they infiltrate...)

The original line reading, "growing level of Muslim hatred in America" could be interpreted as a growing level of hatred by Muslims of America. That is certainly the case, but surely not what CAIR intended, thus it was changed to "[increased] level of anti-Muslim bias".

A Muslim like Hirsi Ali is the sole reason why I like anything Muslim at all.

The truth is bitter - the truth hurts, but whatever the truth may be, it still remains the truth - which is exactly why Muslims cannot accept it. And that is why they cannot accept what Ayaan Hirsi Ali says. I think the professionals would term it a reality deficiency ailment.

She got Dougie Hooper to dance already!
Lets point her to CAIR and let her have at it....maybe she will make another film...
with CAIR as the subject and Dougie as the star!

let them go after her for hate speech, and then she can present the "koran" as hate speech. put the spotlight on the koran. let the fools read it and weap. let them realize the koran is nothing more than a war manual and teacher of hatred for all non muslims and women.

Luckily for the American public, Ms. Ali is far more interesting than either CAIR or AP.
It is possible that all interested parties will investigate the source (the lovely, articulate, vibrant Ms. Ali) and bypass what is written ABOUT her by third parties like CAIR or AP.
Well, we can all hope.
