There was zero attempt on MY part to make this a racial issue.

I am only illustrating, in as stark a manner possible, the hypocrisy of our government when it comes to dealing with threats against Americans.

There are classes - white Christians immediately come to mind and that is why I used the example - which are open targets. Whether in the media, entertainment or law enforcement, there are classes which have no victim status, no recourse to grievances or other protections enjoyed by those who really do intend to harm this country.

I would ask you to compare the treatment of Lon Horiouchi, the FBI assassin in Idaho who shot a white mother holding a baby in the face to the treatment of leos who shoot other than whites.

THIS is what has to overcome in order to have a meaningful anti-terrorism strategy in this country.

Compare the treatment of moslems who cry that they have been mistreated in airports to complaints of people who REALLY have been screwed with.

Guess who will win the award settlement.

America is bending over backwards to accomodate our enemies, and making our honest citizens INTO enemies.

The word "terrorism" here may not quite fit if the FBI takes it to mean some kind of organized conspiracy, something done by a group. If the FBI agents, or those above the local agents, are still so ignorant of Islam, then the country is endangered, and any one running for Presidnet must assure us that he, or she, will make sure that "all of our security services, all of those who are in the army and the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. and the local police, will be fully informed of the nature of the ideology that menaces, and does more than menace." If you wish, if you don't dare utter the word "Islam," then call it "Islamism" or "fanatical Islam" or some other such term. We will, most of us, understand, and we will, most of us, gradually make others understand that when others, becuase of the positions they hold and the need to retain those positions while the business of mass education and self-education about Islam continues, use the word "Islamism" they mean, or should mean, the word "Islam." But there should be no real confusion. And only those with an absolute need, as officials, to still deliberately substitute for the real word "Islam" some other way of saying the same thing and leaving it to others to point out that they are the same thing, but preserving a kind of deniability, only temporarily, only to buy time, while that effort of education goes on, should if necessary do so.

But more and more, those even in government have a duty to approach the truth asymptotically, so that the uninformed or insufficiently informed will come to locate, accurately, the menace for all Infidels in the immutable texts of Islam, not "Wahhabi" Islam or "Islamism" or "extremist" Islam but mainstream Islam.

And those not in government have no excuse for using terms such as "Islamism." No, those without official positions have a stark and unwavering duty not to add to the confusion, but to constantly clarify, whatever others at the moment may now deem necessary -- but only temporarily, one hopes, deem necessary, and only if they are fully aware of the real, disturbing, frightening truth.

Face it people, when we see an agency within 24 hours of a crime to tell us don’t worry we don’t know his motivation yet, but its damn sure not islamic jihad, you can bet that something really evil is lurking in the halls of law unenforcement. If these public servants were to decide to become human shields for the islamists, they wouldn’t even do that right, as you and I can see. We would however gain a significant leap in security and investigative brain power by their absence. 1965, the year that congress changed our immigration laws (w/o voter approval) all trouble we see today leads back to 1965. Now a days if one islamist gains admittance to the USA he can eventually bring his whole tribe/gang with him. Who was in control of the senate, the house, the presidency back in 65? I will give you one guess, think hard!

Not only do we have a serious illegal immigration problem but our legal immigration system is broken beyond any quick fix. We are taking in immigrants that have no desire to be here, you could say that because we removed these people from their homelands and forced them to come here, we have been insensitive and it should be no surprise that they are angry enough to kill us or want us all dead.

Once again the authorities’ and media’s attempt to initially hide the Salt Lake shooter’s religion, shortly followed by a refusal to consider the possibility of his actions were related to terrorism is symptomatic of our problem with our ruling class. Whether their name is Bush or Clinton or Pelosi, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, they live on a far different level from that of average Americans. Their families have armed guards. They fly on private jets. They enjoy perks and privileges. Their portfolios bulge with equities dependent on the world economy.

The “inconvenient truth” for the American ruling class is that Muslims have been attacking American citizens and American values for the past 30 years. “Death to America” A backlash against Muslims in the US could result in an escalation of violent incidents both in the US and abroad. The world economy could suffer big time. How about $300 per barrel oil? Even the ruling class would suffer; their portfolios would shrink. Their families would be at risk.

Right now, it’s better for the ruling class to keep a lid on things and let your kid be shot at a mall or blown up returning from school. It is going to take a great big attack, like 500,000 cases of smallpox or a mushroom cloud to generate the will to throw all of these people out and take the country back.

If a white man had shot and killed Muslims, every one of his computers would be being analyzed by a team of government investigators. They would be looking for connections to groups. If the shooter had ever visited this site; Robert Spencer would probably have his name dragged through the mud on Network TV and there would be calls to end these discussions. Just like what happened after the shootings in Montreal last fall (the Goths got that blame).

In this case there seems to be a willful decision to not look at this man’s associations. His computers should be seized; any computer accounts he has at the library or at school should be searched. Any associations with the teachings of Mohammed should be broadcast and Islam should be publicly questioned. But this won’t happen, because the truth would be very troubling and the government would be forced to face some really tough realities.

The interesting editorial linked by justamomof4 above led me to two epiphanies about the Problem of Islam which I've never seen anywhere else.

My epiphanies were triggered by one paragraph in that editorial in particular:

Most Americans have either forgotten or never knew that the Bosnian Muslims and Albanians, and the Croatians were all ardent supporters of Adolf Hitler during WWII, while the Serbs, who were on our side, suffered more than a million deaths in the Holocaust at the hands of the Croatians (and Tito was a Croatian), Albanians and Bosnians. The Jasenovac concentration camp in Croatia killed 600,000 Serbs, Jews and Gypsies (Roma).

My two epiphanies are these:

1) Perhaps the Communist dictator of Yugoslavia ("President" from 1953 to 1980) Tito was, in fact, another in a long line of Muslim leaders that everyone labels as "secular" and "Socialist", obscuring the Islamic nature of his rule -- just as Nasser and Saddam Hussein were categorized as "secular" and the Islamic nature of their rule has been obscured?

2) The military-terrorist activities of Muslims in Yugoslavia in collaboration with the Nazis should be seen as a jihad, with the intent of taking back the Balkans for Islam (never mind that the Nazis would likely have backstabbed their Muslim allies later), a goal which of course was completely overturned by the victory of the Allies at the end of WWII.

A prime lesson to be learned by this is concealed carry. If you live in a state where this is a possibility and don't carry, apply for the permit. Learn to use your weapon proficiently and carry it all all times.

If you don't have reasonable carry laws, contact your representatives and push for it.

It wasn't Islamic terrorism nor was it suicidal. It was a goofy (probably doped up kid) hyped on video game violence seeking to make his community pay for being marginalized as an immigrant Muslim.

Therefore it was "terroristic", but all he figured out was venting anger in lead and thinking like Ahmadinejad that when you use nukes everyone goes home at the end of the movie. The wacko kid instead gets shot and finds out the reality of life that armed citizens in malls actually bite back.

This was not terrorism by Islam as it's profile denotes. It was though a hyped up hormone raged young male venting. The middle east has 20 million of these creatures prowling around who get indoctrinated. This goof was instead swayed by helplessness of his mother, his situation, his watching CBS, CNN, NBC & ABC and listening to dolts like Tedward Kennedy and Hillary Hamrod.....none of which is Islamic, but all of which in Cindy Sheehan, Dixie Chic fashion moulded his mind to act out in combined appeal.
If they can get attention, gain a following and be "loved" well then so can a lonely Muslim.

This is the danger of leftists like Hillary and Pelosi. They know the garbage they spew is BS, but there are nuts out there who can't and mixing in their estranged conditions they end up being Muslim Mallers (maulers) looking to empower themselves American style.

I am not a trained investigator and maybe I have watched too much Law & Order.
But having to deal with people for professional reasons that didn't want to tell the whole truth and you kind of had to read between the lines, I picked up a few things.
One of which is the fact that this young man left school at 16 and was 18 when he shot up the mall. In one of those news releases a high school teacher said he had spent a lot of time on the computer there recently.
I am not sure about this but I would think that you are not allowed to use the school's computers after you quit school? Anyone else think this is odd?

It’s a race to the bottom, who will be victorious GW Bush or J Carter? Bush has the advantage, he is younger so he has more time to dig deeper. Islam has given itself carte blanche to do everything and anything in its pursuit of global domination. It would be easy for Talovic or any number of muslims to go on solo or near solo jihads.
#1. They are muslims.
#2. They have submitted to Allah.
#3. They believe The Quran, is Allahs direct words.
#4. They believe that jihad is an 'obligation'.
#5. They believe the georgeous 72 is their reward.
#6. They listen to hate sermons at mosque or net.
#7. They have no conscience. Allah has stolen that.
#8. They have a tendancy toward Allahic psychosis.
#9. They have heard who Allahs enemies are.
#10. They seek to kill Allahs enemies.
#11. They are 'good' muslims, the best.

Sulejman Talovic, an 18-year-old immigrant fatally shot by police after Monday's rampage, was only 4 when he and his mother fled their village of Talovici on foot after Serbian forces overran it in 1993, people close to the family told The Associated Press.
Talovic lived as a refugee in Bosnia from 1993 to 1998, when his family moved to the United States, they said.
During that period, he spent some time in Srebrenica. Before being captured vy Serb forces, Srebrenica was used by Bosnian Muslims to massacre all the Serbs in all of the nearby villages only for themselves to be captured in the fall of the town.
The teen gunman left Srebrenica two years before the massacre, but acquaintances suggested it may have left an indelible mark on the quiet little boy they knew.
"That's why I'm convinced the war did this in Utah," said Murat Avdic, a friend of the family. "There cannot be any other reason."
Avdic, 54, said that when the village of Talovici fell, the family split.
"Sulejman and his mother walked to Srebrenica, and from there were later evacuated by a U.N. convoy," he said.
"Suljo, the father, headed over the mountains and forests with his comrades as well. Many left the village, but only a few made it."
Avdic described the family as "very normal, very decent and quiet."
A 1995 peace agreement ended the war but left their native Talovici in the Serb-controlled half of the country to which the family did not dare return.
"We know they ended up in the United States. We never saw them again. It was a wonderful family," said Zijad Cerkic, 33, the family's next-door neighbor in government-controlled Tuzla.
Apart from eight elderly returnees, Talovici village has been a virtual ghost town since 1993. All but two houses are in ruins, including the home of Sulejman's family, said former neighbor Adem Huric, 38.
Many mujahedeen from Muslim states came in Bosnia to fight in 1992-95 war and committed monstruous atrocities againsy Serb civilians.

You must bear in mind that Serbs are/were the most numerous of the Yugoslav peoples. Tito---a croat/slovene, believed that a strong Yugoslavia was only possible through a "weak Serbia" therefore, the regions of his communist state were divided into administrative units...leaving large numbers of Serbs as minorities in various autonomous republics/provinces.
