Suspect: Failed bomb on German train not meant to detonate; was meant as "warning" against insulting Muhammad

Jihad Hamad tries to rescue his ego from a failed bombing and beat an attempted mass murder rap in one fell swoop; earlier coverage indicated that "the detonators on the bombs went off, but failed to ignite the devices." Inner Spiritual Struggle Hamad Update. "International Briefs: Bomb was not a threat, suspect reportedly says," from Reuters:

A Lebanese man confessed Monday to putting a bomb on a train in Germany and said it was intended to warn against insulting the Prophet Muhammad rather than to kill, a judicial source said.
The Lebanese, Jihad Hamad, said during a pretrial hearing that he had placed the bomb, which did not explode, because several European publications were reprinting cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper in 2005.
Hamad is charged with attempted mass murder. His trial is to start April 11.

Not intelligent enough to make it detonate.
Not man enough to admit his will to kill.

I think I will name my next child, World Domination or Dominionism to see how the multi-culturalists react, ; ).

(IMHO It's no worse than "Jihad" or "Sharia" that we keep hearing about...you could add all the Mohammeds as well especially after you gain a better understanding of who the kids are actually named after!)

Ah the mindset of Muslims. A Christian writes a letter to the editor, a Patriot posts on a blog, a Hindu and Buddhist passively call attention to the problem.....but a Muslim builds a bomb to send a message.

This story proves everything this site relates as fact about the mindset of Islam and it's followers.

Is THAT his defense - that he, basically, had a temper tantrum?

Failed bomb on German train not meant to detonate

It seems contradictory. Was it a bomb that FAILED to detonate or one that was never INTENDED to detonate? If it had detonated would that mean that it had failed to achieve its purpose?

This defense seems convoluted, to say the least.

Reminds me of a kid who falls while trying to show-off and says he "meant to do that".
The bomb was a dud.
He intended to kill a few kufrs.

Last minute "conversions" of this nature are almost universally self-serving. I hope that the German court is not fooled by the perpetrator's transparent attempt to exculpate himself. Little, if anything, can ameliorate the heinousness of a terrorist attack.

Herr Hamad really shouldn't worry... He should be happy he tried Islamic mass murder in Germany.

And what 'punishment' could possibly be in store for Herr Hamad in Germany if he is convicted?

Germany gave Moutasadeq (the roommate of Atta, and the convicted abettor to the entire 9/11 plot) 15 years for aiding in the mass murder of nearly 3,000 souls on 9/11. He helped finance the operation, and was probably going to be one of the hijackers, but he was banned from entering the USA. The sentence handed down by German Court came to a mere 1.85 days per murdered soul, and this was the maximum German law permitted.

But it gets worse.

Later, his conviction was overturned on appeal in the German Supreme Court. The technicality which got him off was the fact that the USA didn't grant this murdering scum access to our top secret al Qaida prisoners held in undisclosed locations... The German Supreme Court agreed that his rights had been seriously violated and that his conviction must be overturned.

Germany is also one of the nations which pretended to be utterly astounded to find that US CIA operatives had used US Military bases to shuttle captive terrorists around to various holding facilities in Western and Eastern Europe. It's clear they knew we were doing this. But to appease their leftist America-hating populace, they feigned outrage, and threw the USA under the bus.

I hope more terrorists carefully consider where they conduct their future operations. While I'm not encouraging anything, or hoping for anything... It seems that certain America-hating nations are far easier to conduct terror, far more sympathetic to the terrorist's "plight", and far more likely to cave in to terrorist demands than the stubborn Yanks. Think Germany, France, and Spain, for starters. Just a thought.
