But of course. What better way to prove to Eli Soriano that Islam is peaceful than peacefully to separate his head from his body?
From AP, with thanks to Davsmi:
Filipino Muslims display a banner, which reads 'Behead Those Who Insult Islam,' and t-shirts with a wanted sign during a rally Wednesday March 7, 2007, at a downtown Manila square , to protest recent televised preaching by a Christian sect leader Eli Soriano, who alleges that Muslims are killers. More than 1,000 Muslims took part in the rally and demanded Soriano, who is currently in hiding, be extradited back to the Philippines so he can face charges being brought against him. Just for clarity, the sign says: "Behead Those Who Insult Islam", but we all probably knew that already ;)

Dominic had expressed his interest in setting up a site on which we, the JWers could discuss topics that are regarded as OT by the moderators, but are somewhat linked to the jihad and islam. I had volunteered to help him with such a site and emailed him. Below is Dominic's posting on Feb. 25.
http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/015372.php#c355593
I received this mail on the 1st of March.
Mr. Sevak,
Your email address was found by me in my brother's address book on his
computer and because of that I felt that as Dominic's oldest brother and
executor I have to inform you that my much loved brother Dominic was called
home to God in the early hours of Tuesday morning. My dearly beloved brother
was involved in a road traffic accident at about 19:30hrs. on Monday evening
on his way back to London after a weekend archaeological rescue dig in the
Home Counties. It appears at the moment that Dominic deliberately drove his
Porsche off the road in order to avoid a road traffic accident in front of
him. In so doing his car hit a concrete lamp-post stanchion and he sustained
serious injuries. Dominic was taken to the A&E Department of a local NHS
hospital and went into emergency surgery about an hour and a half later. We
are assured by the hospital chaplain that Dominic received the last rites
shortly before going into the operating theatre and was conscious enough to
respond appropriately. After a six hour operation he was released in a
comatose condition into intensive care. He was called home to God at
three-thirty-five a.m. on Tuesday morning without regaining conciousness. I
and his parents.... (Rest of the paragraph has personal information.)
In
accordance with our family traditions we will say Mass in the Anglican Rite
for the repose of Dominic's soul every day for one year after his calling
home starting at 8:00 a.m. every day. Should you wish to join us in that
prayer whichever religion you may follow then please say the appropriate
prayers of your Rite or Religion at about 08:15 a.m. each day and know that
we will be reciting the Kontakion in his memory at about the same time.
Dominic, my dear, dear little brother will be remembered in the Mass
thereafter on each anniversary of his death and birth for ever.
Please forgive this bald and bare email. I never anticipated that I would
have to act so on behalf of the little brother whom I loved so much and who
meant so much to me. My eyes and my senses are clouded by my tears and much
as I trust that I will see him again it is hard for me and my family to
accept that such a vibrant and ardent little person is gone from us into the
greater glory of God.
"Eternal rest give unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him."
"Oh, my brother know, if you know naught else,
that I loved you!"
Yours sincerely,
I was shocked at this mail. The days since are just a blur. I did not even have the courage to send a condolence mail. It is only today that I will send my last respects. I have yet to face reality. Our Dominic is no more. Posters who want to send condolences please send them at arjun.sevak@rediffmail.com. I shall forward them to his family.

We are secular Muslims, and secular persons of Muslim societies. We are idiots for believing
Muhammads lies regarding his revelations as he was a dubious man involved in mass murder , highway robbery , kidnapping , slavery and child molestation.
We initiated and perpetuate the misconception that muslims are superior to non-muslims.
We affirm the inviolable freedom of the individual conscience. We believe in the equality of all human persons as long as they are muslims.
We demand the strict integration of religion and state and the eradication of universal human rights especially in countries where muslims are a minority.
We find traditions of liberty, rationality, and tolerance in the rich histories of the west to be incompatible with Islam and our priority is to erode them therefor removing a barrier to our
future desired domination.
We call on the governments of the world to embrace
Sharia law, fatwa courts, clerical rule, and state-sanctioned religion in all their forms; the enforcement draconian penalties for blasphemy and apostacy, in accordance with Article 21 of the recently ammended Universal Declaration of Human rights.
We demand practices ,such as female circumcision, honor killings, forced veiling , and forced marriage, that further the oppression of women;
starting from the age of six.
We demand that the laws protecting gender minorities from persecution and violence be reviewed.
We propose that homosexualty be punished by stoning or hanging.
Enforce sectarian education that teaches intolerance and bigotry towards non-Muslims;
and fosters emnity between them.
We demand the release of Islam from its captivity to the totalitarian ambitions of power-hungry Joos and the Great Satan itself , America.
We enjoin academics and thinkers everywhere to embark on a fearless examination of the origins and sources of Islam, this being Muhammads henious
crimes.
We say to Muslim believers: there is no noble future for Islam as a personal faith or doctrine
unless it dominates the World.
To Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Baha’is, and all members of non-Muslim faith communities: we stand against you and your "freedoms" as it
denies our superiority.
And to nonbelievers: we obviously deny your qualified liberty to question and dissent and you
will be beheaded.

Assalamau Laikum Arjun,
I too am shocked at the email you printed out...."our" Dominic really is no more.
Could you please extract this from here and pass onto his relatives.
Assalamau Laikum to Dominic's relatives,
I am Naseem... an Ahmadi muslima living in Lahore, Pakistan.
I was shocked to read that Dominic was so tragically killed in a road accident....please accept my deep condolenses to your family...I shall offer dua to Allah SWT to give peace to his soul and for Allah SWT to give him room be by his side.
Although it is not allowed in Islam to pray for Infedels...I will pray for him once ...I had many long poster joustings with him at the Jihadwatch.org web site.
I lost my husband (Anwer) three years ago in the hugh earthquake in Pakistan...and can understand your loss.
I considered him as a friend...Dominic was always curteous but firm with his points of view ...unlike the modern English peoples who are directionless and faithless...I got the impression that Dominic had deep faith in God ...and that is a very good thing....as any muslima will testify.
I shall miss Dominic's sense of style and his point of view.
May Allah give him peace...where ever he may be now.

Naseem according you to your prophet Dominic cannot rest in peace, you see your god will not allow it.
Dominic is resting in peace regardless of the evil of your koran. Naseen you are human enough to understand you may still pray for Dominic even though as you said it would be against a muslim to do so. so why dont you leap right over to the humane side of humanity and leave the depravity of islam. take care.

‘alleges’? – ‘alleges’?– that muslims are killers????
What insanity to even suggest otherwise! That self evident truth should be crystal clear to any thinking human being not caught in islam’s death grip’
As Jesus The Christ said: “and the darkness hates the light” – these black clad, angry faces in the photo have 'darkness' written all over them.

I can only suppose that, just as with any sense of humor, all irony is forever lost upon these murderous thugs. Saddest of all is that they do not defile their so-called Religion of Peace [spit], but instead prove it to be what it truly is, a death cult and nothing more.

Muslims are good people when they disregard what Islam teaches and this is the opposite of Judaism and Christianity.
Islam is the negative image of Judaism and Christianity. It is an inversion of the principles behind Judeo-Christian culture.

From the Dominic thread, where I think it is inappropriate to respond to Kafir nonbeliever...
. Even though we never directly addressed each other on this blog, seeing him as a contributor on JW/DW made this largely anti-gay, intolerant (towards homosexuals) and increasingly Christianist website somehow palatable. (One need only look to the newest contributors on this site, which have managed to degenerate posts into non-sensical, irrelevant albeit anti-Islamic, pro-Christian rantings that damage the integrity of this site/project.)
I really do not remember any anti-gay comments being made here...."pro-Christian rantings"?...you are welcome to state your views along with Christians at the site....we have quite a few posters who are not Christian, they express themselves without being criticized....

Why is a Filipino Christian sect leader in hiding? And how dare these women march in Manila, rather than Mindanao. Since when was Filipines a part of the ummah? I'd understand if this guy had fled Mindanao from Abu Sayyaf, or the Moro NLF, but why does he have to be in hiding in the rest of Catholic Philippines? Does any Filipino doubt what he said, given the 2 Jihadi groups operating in Mindanao?

Americanin Germany,
You are too right. The Pakistan earthquake occurred on October 8th, 2005. That's only a year and a half ago. She supposedly lost him several months later when Allah's medicine failed to do it's magic. So he's probably only been dead for a little over a year not the 3 years she's claiming. Your 'prayer' was very disturbing to me, as I seriously doubt that Dominic would want to spend eternity with your "allah".
Allah is the one who is behind this particular thread: the beheading of a Christian preacher, so why would anyone in their right mind want to spend eternity with a god like that.

One thing we have to understand is, this is not hypocrisy. It's not that calling Muslims killers is insulting inandof itself. Bin Laden makes such claims on a regular basis. It's the tone in which it is used by a non-believer. If he had made the same claim as a manner of extolling the virtues of the Islamic faith, nobody would've batted an eyelash. But he said it to castigate Islam, as if Muslims being killers is a bad thing, and this simply won't do.

The religion of freedom Western countries guarantee is the direct result of the Westphalia peace treaty from 1648 whihc put an end to 30 years of bloodsehd between catholics and protestants. It basically reenoforced the treaty of Augsburg from 1555.
"All parties would now recognize the Peace of Augsburg of 1555, by which each prince would have the right to determine the religion of his own state, the options being Catholicism, Lutheranism, and now Calvinism (the principle of cuius regio, eius religio).
Christians living in principalities where their denomination was not the established church were guaranteed the right to practice their faith in public during allotted hours and in private at their will"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_of_Westphalia
It didn't mention neither muslims nor islam. And it didn't mention it for a good reason, as Europe's memories of islam's yoke were fresh and alive.
In the spirit of our forefathers we shouldn't grant this right neither. Islam has done nothing to deserve it. It's writings are full of hatred and discrimination against other religions, it's history is a history of submission. And hatred and discrimination, in its mildest form intolerance is what many of its followers practice.
Instead of granting it the safe grounds of a religion we should strip islam of that right and treat it like any other totalitarian, supremacist ideology: contain it and push it back wherever possible.
What exactly makes islam a religion? The fact that
they claim allah to be the same as the Christian/Jewish god? Their numbers? Or the fact that they turn onto you ever since Mohammeds's days once don't comply to their demands? Love and peace obviously aren't very high on islam's agenda - if they matter at all (neither seems rational thought, as the pic in this article illustrates very well) . Yet love and peace is what a religion's all about. OR AT LEAST TRY TO. With many muslims I can't even see that effort..
