West: Burnt offerings on the altar of multiculturalism

Diana West, who is consistently perceptive, has written what may be her most outstanding column yet. (Thanks to PRCS for the link.)

Only one faith on Earth may be more messianic than Islam: multiculturalism. Without it -- without its fanatics who believe all civilizations are the same -- the engine that projects Islam into the unprotected heart of Western civilization would stall and fail. It's as simple as that. To live among the believers -- the multiculturalists -- is to watch the assault, the jihad, take place un-repulsed by our suicidal societies. These societies are not doomed to submit; rather, they are eager to do so in the name of a masochistic brand of tolerance that, short of drastic measures, is surely terminal.

I'm not talking about our soldiers, policemen, rescue workers and, now, even train conductors, who bravely and steadfastly risk their lives for civilization abroad and at home. Instead, I'm thinking about who we are as a society at this somewhat advanced stage of war. It is a strange, tentative civilization we have become, with leaders who strut their promises of "no surrender" even as they flinch at identifying the foe. Four years past 9/11, we continue to shadow-box "terror," even as we go on about "an ideology of hate." It's a script that smacks of sci-fi fantasy more than realpolitik. But our grim reality is no summer blockbuster, and there's no special-effects-enhanced plot twist that is going to thwart "terror" or "hate" in the London Underground anymore than it did on the roof of the World Trade Center. Or in the Bali nightclub. Or on the first day of school in Beslan. Or in any disco, city bus or shopping mall in Israel.

Body bags, burn masks and prosthetics are no better protections than make-believe. But these are our weapons, according to the powers that be. These, and an array of high-tech scopes and scanners designed to identify retinas and fingerprints, to detect explosives and metals -- ultimately, I presume, as we whisk through the automatic supermarket door. How strange, though, that even as we devise new ways to see inside ourselves to our most elemental components, we also prevent ourselves from looking full-face at the danger to our way of life posed by Islam.

Notice I didn't say "Islamists." Or "Islamofascists." Or "fundamentalist extremists." I've tried out such terms in the past, but I've come to find them artificial and confusing, and maybe purposefully so, because in their imprecision I think they allow us all to give a wide berth to a great problem: the gross incompatibility of Islam -- the religious force that shrinks freedom even as it "moderately" enables or "extremistly" advances jihad -- with the West. Am I right? Who's to say? The very topic of Islamization -- for that is what is at hand, and very soon in Europe -- is verboten.

A leaked British report prepared for Prime Minister Tony Blair last year warned even against "expressions of concern about Islamic fundamentalism" (another one of those amorphous terms) because "many perfectly moderate Muslims follow strict adherence to traditional Islamic teachings and are likely to perceive such expressions as a negative comment on their own approach to their faith." Much better to watch subterranean tunnels fill with charred body parts in silence. As the London Times' Simon Jenkins wrote, "The sane response to urban terrorism is to regard it as an avoidable accident."

In not discussing the roots of terror in Islam itself, in not learning about them, the multicultural clergy that shepherds our elites prevents us from having to do anything about them. This is key, because any serious action -- stopping immigration from jihad-sponsoring nations, shutting down mosques that preach violence and expelling their imams, just for starters -- means to renounce the multicultural creed. In the West, that's the greatest apostasy. And while the penalty is not death -- as it is for leaving Islam under Islamic law -- the existential crisis is to be avoided at all costs. Including extinction.

This is the lesson of the atrocities in London. It's unlikely that the 21st century will remember that this new Western crossroads for global jihad was once the home of Churchill, Piccadilly and Sherlock Holmes. Then again, who will notice? The BBC has retroactively purged its online bombing coverage of the word "terrorist"; the spokesman for the London police commissioner has declared that "Islam and terrorism simply don't go together"; and within sight of a forensics team sifting through rubble, an Anglican priest urged his flock, as The Guardian reported, to "rejoice in the capital's rich diversity of cultures, traditions, ethnic groups and faiths." Just don't, he said, "name them as Muslims." Their faith renewed, Londoners soldier on.

Excellent column, too true. How illuminating that first line is:

"Only one faith on Earth may be more messianic than Islam: multiculturalism."

I never thought of it that way before, but ending the insanity of multiculturalism, before it's too late, is perhaps the greatest challenge we now face.

Diana "save the" West just tells it like it is. If enough people like her do that, who knows, maybe someday it will get through. It's really not that hard to see the connection between Islamic doctrinal exhortations to violence and intolerance and what happens in the real world.
Assuming that the ultimate enemy of myth is circumstance, the truth will out eventually. As ML King once said, "Someday, we shall overcome.".

I have hope that we will put this fire of Islam out, not just here but in the rest of the world as well. In fact I have no doubt of it.

In the UK and France, we are heading faster to that inevitable reckoning, and though many find this pace of dhimmification of ther UK alarming, I believe it is for the good, for the quicker we get to the inevitable, the better. What is far more dangerous is the slow and creeping islamification whose pace is small even over generations, that no one notices what is happening till it too late.

Hi All,

Gee, I though Multiculturalism meant countries like classic Canada or Belgium. Namely two or three different cultures instide one country that worked together more or less well.

What is being advocated behind the facade of Multiculturalism, is really Omniculturalism. That is, an every culture situation shoehorned into each nation state. And this is done without the slightest reference to the history of such experiments (if any were ever done at all). Indeed, out very wise elites are performing this activity without regard to the history of the particular cultures being imported, and especially how well they behaved in a classic Multicultural setting.

Unhistoric elites will wreck our world.

The powers-that-be in the UK have finally realised that multiculturalism has failed. So they've solved the problem by re-naming it 'diversity'. Everything in the garden is rosy now.

D. West is excellent as usual. Multiculturalism is based on blind faith in certain key assumptions such as moral relativism.

The single most important line in Diana's article:

"How strange, though, that even as we devise new ways to see inside ourselves to our most elemental components, we also prevent ourselves from looking full-face at the danger to our way of life posed by Islam."

By George, I think she's got it!

Posted by: Foehammer [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 10, 2007 10:18 AM

Good point, Silvester.

Diversity is a Darwinian, scientific good. It ties right in with the global warming story - we have to protect our environment. Diversity is more important than freedom and must be forced by those who know better. Do you think lefty multicults will ever figure out that in their acting as god to force diversity they are acting out intelligent design?

Posted by: Alan [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 10, 2007 11:03 AM

Exactly right in my view.

Without PC thinking, we could EASILY wipe the floor with the Jihadists. To beat Jihad, we will need to confront and to a large extent defeat the PC mindset. The Jihadists will themselves help us accomplish this task by their actions and quotations of the Koran--we just need to help frame the debate a certain way.

If the Jihadists were smart, they would shut up in front of the cameras and rely on Slow Jihad for victory. Instead, they will prance, prattle, and kill----giving us a possible antidote for PC disease if we can frame the debate properly.

I dont want to go go your event, so I'll sue you.
I disapprove of the building you're holding the event in, I refuse to go, but its your fault.
I bang my head on the wall, and the wall is to blame.
The mohammedan victim mentality is so deeply ingrained that this moral midget is undoubtedly certain that he's right.
The worst thing is that there is such a smooth tight fit between mohammedan victim-ideals and the modern multi-culti victim culture and its legal machinery.
========
And this is something that doesn't get written about anywhere near enough.
The flip side of the mohammedan death cult -- kill the infidels and all that -- is the mohammedan cult of victimhood.
It's not a subtle point or clever insight I'm asserting here. You only have to pay light passing attention to the news to see the pattern.
• An amazing number of mohammedans want to die as "martyrs". Which is an interesting way to frame a suicide. I kill myself, but I'm a martyr. Compare this for a moment with the Christian concept of martyrdom...
• An amazing number of mohammedans admire those who die as phony self-martyrs, and shower admiration and praise (and even cash) on their families.
• The shia even have a holiday where they parade through the streets whipping, if not actually mutilating themselves.

• The infamous "honor" murders, are murders by families of their own daughters.

• The whole sick clitoidectomy thing -- what normal heterosexual man wants to be involved with a woman who cannot feel anything in sex -- a woman who will never look at him with blissful gratitude.

• The list goes on ...

And dare I say it, have you ever thought about what they call praying? Putting your head on the floor and sticking your rear end in the air!
Um ... how can I put this ... has nobody else ever questioned the significance of this posture?
The flip side of all that extroverted blood-thirstiness is an inwardly directed compulsion to humiliate, torment, deny, mutilate, and even kill oneself and the people one supposedly loves.
How could any human live in an atmosphere like that and not walk around with a sense of having been victimized ?!?!?!?!?!
==============
And their ideology is set up in such a way as to make it virtually impossible for them to notice what is going on.
==============
And the multi-cultis just gobble it all up. They love the stuff.
They have no clue as to what is going on, but these are people they can relate to. These people are Victims.
Hard to say who's sicker.

joeblough I consider those discriminating facts often. How can you describe them? Anti-Christian? Flipped-Christian? Clueless? Upside-down?

I can go on, but I don’t want to get into a theological discussion. However, it is obvious they have been greatly and awfully deceived. I can only hope that others see the facts for what they are as well.

Then we have the liberal deceivers of self: the absolute multiculturalists of the West. They need to get a clue as well; that is, be unbrainwashed. The religion of universalism is your mind on drugs. For the most part, it is a religion of ignorance and cowardice, based on pride. Christ did not teach us to ignore and partner with sin.

Nay, He showed us how to feel sin, rebuke sin, and reject sin. He did not teach us to accept every way, and all ways. Too many people have let the devil seep into their hearts, exchanging tolerance of wrongdoing for acceptance, and principle for convenience/laziness.

Funny you posted that, because I was just checking an allegation against the Bible and found this:
"You are the sons of the LORD your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave your forehead for the sake of the dead.” Deuteronomy 14:1

Islam is the only system on earth which is protected from attack in it's worst indoctrination centers, mosques.

Training camps of bin Laden are hit, but not the camps in mosques which preach for Muslims to go to the training camps.

For a Westerner who doesn't live with his head up his backside, the only aspects of multiculturalism worth keeping are appreciations for ethnic foods and arts & crafts. Everything else from other cultures, more or less, is worthless, especially their political and religious views.

Multiculturalists don't seem to understand this and want to import other cultures whole hog into the West, even when they are incompatible, as is definitely the case with Islam, no matter how many superficial people claim otherwise. Intellectual incoherence should condemn multiculturalism to being a fad, but intellectual incoherence should also have condemned Islam to being a fad that died out with Mohammed, yet that hasn't happened.

I keep thinking, very pessimistically, that a civil war in the West may be necessary groundwork for truly dealing with the Islamic threat. The fact that multiculturalists aren't amenable to empirical evidence laying out the scope of the Islamic problem in the West says to me that multiculturalism isn't a Western ideology at all and is as foreign a body in our societies as Islam. And they are "our" societies, built by those across the Western political spectrum who believe in material progress, science, rule of law, separation of church and state, etc., not by multiculturalists.

Multiculturalism, with its "passive nihilism", as Nietzsche would say, leads to nowhere in the realm of concrete achievement because its only impact on the world is psychological. Multiculturalism can't build a real bridge (that takes science) so it settles for "building bridges" between societies in ways that leave both cultures worse off than prior to the advent of multiculturalism. The primitive is not forced to confront his culture's inadequacies and the Westerner is not forced to somehow "measure up" to the accomplishments of his culture by accomplishing something of his own.

"Notice I didn't say "Islamists." Or "Islamofascists." Or "fundamentalist extremists." I too, at first, distinguished between "moderate" Islam and its radical fundamentalists. It seemed essential in order to avoid polarizing all debate in advance by not doing so.

That time has passed. "Islamist", "Islamofascism", "Radical Islam", "Fundamentalist Islam", "Extremist Islam" and "Jihadism" are all facets of the same Kaaba, equally abrasive, equally adamantine in their determination to commit Global Cultural Genocide. All are accepted, irrevocable and core components of Islam.

I have also lost all hope of Islam reforming itself. The St. Petersburg Declaration was a welcome gesture. Yet, much like their extremist opponents, I am also obliged to note that the majority of participants in that panel were not Muslims. What does that tell you? It quite simply means that the majority of Muslims absolutely refuse to consider any rehabilitation or reformation of their creed.

Islam's willing embrace of violent conversion and the commission of terrorist atrocities against non-believers can mean only one thing. An equal, if not greater, degree of force must be used to vanquish it. Not suppress, not halt, not control, nor subdue but vanquish it. Like a lethal virus, even a minute residue of this virulent meme poses an unacceptable risk.

As West notes, Multiculturalism is the engine that drives us directly into a head-on collision with Islam. Its boilers are stoked by the inanity of Political Correctness and by those cunning enough to take advantage of the monstrous loopholes it leaves open in our defenses. Worst of all is the determination with which Multiculturalism’s proponents impose it upon the West. As is so often the case, what results will be entirely opposite of their intent. By attempting to homogenize such immiscible ingredients they have preordained the most hideous scenario of all. Unable to contain or curtail Islam’s predation upon dar al-Harb, our only option will be to exterminate the threat. Islam's intransigent ideology leaves the West without any choice. In a fatal irony, Multiculturalism’s obsession with forcibly leveling any disparity or difference in this globe’s cultures will be a primary driver of the coming Muslim holocaust.

I have always been slightly confused by this notion of 'strength in diversity'. How exactly is there any strength in diversity/multiculturalism or whatever other name you wish to give it? How can there be strength in diluting your country's culture by importing a foreign culture that is hell bent on destroying the host country's culture?

I remember being in the UK after the 7/7 attacks and everywhere you went, the newspapers, politicians etc. were all talking about this 'our strength lies in our diverity'. I was completely flummoxed by the lack of proper reasoning or intelligence that was coming from a country that was once as powerful as Britain was. Did Britain win wars by being 'diverse'? Is it diversity that made her strong? I would have thought strength would have had more to do with a sense of self belief. A sense of pride. A sense of understanding the values in democracy and true freedom. And also a sense of religious morals, that provided far more guidance in a person's life and created far more of an identity for the country than the meaningless cult that has taken over in the form of politically correct multiculturalism.

Diana West is spot on when she says '...multiculturalism. Without it -- without its fanatics who believe all civilizations are the same -- the engine that projects Islam into the unprotected heart of Western civilization would stall and fail.'

The new fascism that we face today in most European countries is that of political correctness - the native population is being forced into silence by the multiculturalists. You say something they don't like and it's automatically racism. People keep their mouths shut for fear of being labelled as such. These 'multiculturalists are the fools who pose as much of a danger to our civilisation as the Islamists.

Zenster : I too no longer bother to pay head to Political Correctness... there's too much at stake and the problem all too obvious.

Islam is a religion of un-ending war by Muslims. I'm the victim here.. why do I have to go through the trouble of typing 10 paragraphs of pro-forma disclaimers to state what everyone with a brain already knows.

If only the people who get so upset over "Islamophobes" would get that upset about Kuffarophobes.

Multi-culturalism would appear to comprise one part deception and one part ignorance.

The deception in the multi-cultural movement is that the host country's culture is given short-shrift while it is at the same time being imposed upon by the left to force it into the 'multi-cultural' mold. It is always the host culture (usually white and Christian) that is maneuvered by the leftwing ringleaders into making sacrifices in order to accommodate the newly arriving excuses for cultures from the second and third world nations. (That appears to be the point of this whole multi-cultural movement by the left). At no point is ANYTHING done to accommodate the host society who are usually regarded by the leftist ringleaders as non-entities (or even less). Notice that in America few whites would be permitted to move to any of these countries from which undocumented and others come from (the fact that these countries are undesirable in general is less important than the fact that it is whites in America's whose rights are being undermined by leftwing ringleaders shoving mass immigration of people from these countries down their throats. Leftist multi-cultural movement snakeoil salesmen I find are frequently rabidly anti-America, anti-caucasian, anti-Christian, and anti-democracy (socialism or watered-down Communist ideology is in with the left, democracy is OUT).

For the left in the US and other western democracies, multi-culturalism has become a means to demolish western culture and turn the west into 1917 Russia with Islamic underpinnings. The ignorance part comes in here: at no point did Islam or Communism ever advance mankind; during its best years both just stole technology from more successful societies. Even Communism's ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD STANK (literally)! As for Islam, it has killed over 300 million innocent human beings over 13 centuries (now how good could something guilty of THIS be???).

God spare us any more of these leftist 'multi-cultural' idiots.

There can be no more heinous result of this "multiculuralism" than what is happening at San Francisco State University. Students are being charged with the "descration of ALLAH"!
The story is on World Net Daily and it's frightening. The students copied an image from the internet, without realizing that it contained Arabic script for Allah. (And why should that matter? Since when does a university stand up for the students of one faith and deny others their right to protest against it? Oh that's right! It's hate speech!)

Desecrating the American flag is a protected right of free speech. Desecrating the flag of Hamas or Hezbollah can get you brought up on charges.

Only in dar-al-harb!!!!

Greek said: I have always been slightly confused by this notion of 'strength in diversity'. How exactly is there any strength in diversity/multiculturalism or whatever other name you wish to give it?

Strength in diversity is very real, but it can't apply to cultures. It works in business, in the human gene pool and it can also work in politics. A culture can't be "diverse". It is what it is.

The problem is the message is twisted.
The multiculturalists have twisted our history into something it never was: a polyglot of cultures all operating under one system of government. The Irish, the Italians and many others all brought their own ethnic differences and added them to the American melting pot. They changed America and were in turn changed by it. It was a two way street. Today's immigrants want to establish separate communities rather than lose their own cultural heritage. They want to establish new versions of what they left behind. There's a difference between being open to new ideas (most of American history) and establishing separatist communities. Multiculturalism is really separatism.

Multiculturalism is the exact opposite of what I learned in School.

Now we wonder why the Schools are a problem. How can standards improve when the whole system is Geared to its lowest possible denominator?

Only Mental Cases can justify others Hate as being understandable and acceptable, while our reaction to it, if/when discovered. is not.

We need not confuse the Moral High Ground with intentional Blind Ignorance.

Is English an ethnic group? Is Pakistani an ethnic group for purposes of discrimination law, but English is not? What about Welsh, Irish, Scots? Only in countries or legal jurisdictions other than those? Can you be sued for discriminating against English as an ethnic group in Scotland but charged with racism for saying English is an ethnic group in England? Even though both are under UK law?

Is it an element of genocide to say that Kurds are not an ethnic group in their homeland? Because that would be part of eradicating them? Is it racism to say that English are an ethnic group in England?

Is it genocide to say Kurds are not an ethnic group in their homeland because the intent is ethnic cleansing? But its racism to say English is an ethnic group in England because the intent would be to stop immigration?

Are the PC responsible for their actions? For their words? For their concepts? For results? For the present? For the future?

Is Turkish immigration into Kurdish regions part of genocide and racism? But Turkish immigratio into Europe is not?

Is it racist to support Turkish immigration into Kurdish regions but racist to oppose it into Europe?

What about the same questions in regards to Serbia, Bosnia etc? Is Serb immigration into certain areas in the Balkans genocide and supporting it is racism? But the same immigration into England or Germany is not and opposing it is racism?

What if its part of a larger immigration that is accompanied by birth rates below replacement in England or Germany? Is it ethnic cleansing when it happens in the Balkans, but racism when its opposed in Germany and England?

Must we go to war when it happens in the Balkans but put those in jail who oppose it in England and Germany? Or at least condemn them, boycott them and not hire them? Isn't that what right thinking people do?

I like multiculturalism, if all the cultures included are civil and share the same basic values. That used to be the case. What would San Fransisco be without its famous Chinatown. I joined a class at a Buddhist temple in Berkeley to experience that culture. In Texas where I live now theres a little German town that was founded by Germans and I go there for Octoberfest almost every year. Its a blast!

The problem arises when you import a culture that does not share its host country's values. When you import a culture thats infected with a religion that glorifies death and war and intolerance. A culture that hates democracy and freedom and women's rights. A culture whose values are almost exactly opposite of the host countries. What do you do then?
Would be nice if we could have standards in 'Multiculturalism' without being called racist.

From the article:

its fanatics who believe all civilizations are the same

Hmmm, I guess I'm a "moderate multiculturalist", as opposed to a "radical multiculturalist". I believe in multiculturalism, though I don't believe all civilizations are the same. I do believe that "diversity is a strength". I would gladly work with any racial or ethnic or religious group in the world, and welcome them here, EXCEPT those who believe in a violent supremecist ideology (especially a violent supremecist ideology masquerading as a religion) whose core goal it is to conquer our society and force us to follow their legal system as laid down by their founder 1300 years ago.

Being against the jihad is not the same thing as being xenophobic. As a matter of fact, it is the opposite. Every Hindu, Buddhist, Jew, Zoroaster, Jainist, atheist, Christian, animist, in the world is under the same threat from Islam. Islam divides the world into two camps: believers and infidels. If we infidels all unite (on this one topic) and create a single front against Islam, it will be a large step in the right direction.

This is utter bollocks that assumes that political parties never gain or lose power and the status quo will always be here in all of its insidious forms for something approaching half a century. Furthermore this filth does not take into account the will of the people who are sending their sons and daughters to serve in the military or even talking on the bus or on the hospital wing about Islam and jihad and why they do not like it.

I agree with every effort to keep the spotlight on Islam, but I do not agree that this should be seen only from the media perception of events with the assumption that the media says it is so, and therefore it must be true. The media purposely ignore the masses and eventually that will be their downfall. You cannot keep showing the audience the same trick, one day they will work out how it is done.

I agree that Al Bbceera and the Grauniad are the tools of Satan, but neither of them have mastered the art of subliminal messaging. People will and do take the news with a pinch of salt and make their own conclusions (BBC’s Have your say is a perfect example).

People say that a country gets the government it deserves but in truth that is utter bollocks. People in Britain voted Labour because it was an antidote to years of the Tories. Blair promised much and people bought it. But today events have overtaken Blair and his Nu Labour buddies. Now the contestants for his throne are the much hated Clunking Fist and a bunch of properly left wing idiots of the type that could never win an election if they rigged the vote and parked T-72’s on every street corner.

Nu labours march to the centre got them power and that ground is being stolen by David Cameron, the leader of England’s natural leaders, the Tories.

We English were here before and we will be here for a long time yet.

Sustained immigration causes genetic extinction of those in the target area and with a lag of each annual cohort of immigrants.

Immigration Substitution Effect Europe Fertility Map

Since total population is bounded, as population rises, substitution of immigrants for births takes over from the direct effect of increasing population. At the peak population all immigration substitutes for births.

She is under no illusion, she sees the enemy and names it.

Islam should be outlawed here. If it can (again, can) reform itself, after that time it would be rewarded with access to this great nation. As it stands now, it has nothing to change as it is already allowed here. Reform takes hold best when a gold ring is placed overhead as a goal, or reward.

Allowing islam to prowl the streets in the west is akin to empty the jails and mental hospitals of everybody to the society, and "reform" them from the streets.

Every member of islam is a potential serial killer, trained from birth to hate and kill, and given access to prey, us.

Thats how I see it, and want the followers of islam to prove me wrong.

While I appreciate what special_guest and mert are saying, at present there is far too much political and Politically Correct baggage attached to Multiculturalism for it to remain totally unscathed. This once honorable notion has become damaged goods.

It is much like the current situation with Muslim immigration. Not all Muslims arriving are full blown terrorists. Yet, far too many of them pose a sufficient problem whereby their entry into America must cease.

I believe quite firmly that America's original strength and final position atop this world's political food chain devolved from the huge diversity within our society. That said, diversity now has a much different meaning to the Multiculturalists.

pythagoras nails it in his post:

The repackaged and rebranded Multiculturalism is nothing but sedition-lite. Those who hate America have not been able to curtail free speech and thought to a sufficient degree, even with their powerful weapon, Political Correctness. Their hatred of democracy runs so deep that they are now attempting to subvert it and all free discussion of it by, as Diana West so capably observes, projecting “Islam into the unprotected heart of Western civilization”. And it is not just Islam. As Pythagoras notes, we are being inundated with marginally skilled semi-literate backward types from every two-bit backwater third world country on earth.

How are these people supposed to help drive the technically sophisticated industrial engine that powers America’s increasingly beleaguered economy? How are these people going to integrate into a society so advanced as to be almost an alien civilization by comparison to their own origins? What the Multiculturalists refuse to admit, at least not openly, is that they’re not supposed to at all.

Unable to adequately muffle free speech or thought with Political Correctness and its Orwellian Newspeak, instead they are flooding America with those most susceptible to the sort of socialist and communist doctrine espoused by Musliculturalists. Look around the world at where communist insurgencies currently make their biggest inroads. They are always made amongst the poor and barely literate who see no problem with redistributing wealth or land that they will never legitimately obtain in their lifetimes.

With the Soviet Union’s collapse, more educated populations are no longer so easily persuaded that centrally planned government is the universal panacea Multiculturalists say it is. Unable to sway America’s own existing citizenry with their tissue of lies, they now seek to import those who can be gulled into accepting this intensely flawed doctrine. They do not care one whit if those they let loose among us have little motivation to integrate. All the better just so long as America’s traditional core values are eroded and undermined. Multiculturalists have no compunctions over delivering us into the hands of even the most vicious and barbaric sort of Neanderthals, just so long as it assists their overthrow of our precious constitutional law.

The liberal left’s carefully masked elitism permits them to smugly think that, once democracy has been destroyed, only they will have the intelligence to assume real power. What they do not realize is that by infiltrating America with this world’s thugs and human backwash, they are sowing the hydra’s teeth. They do this without consideration of how that which springs forth from America’s subverted soil will have almost limitless freedom to savage our population, them included. Especially so the liberals as they have voluntarily relinquished their right to bear arms and will be most defenseless of all.

This is self-loathing and its inherent cognitive dissonance, writ large. By subverting democracy’s protective umbrella they stand unsheltered from the very deluge they seed. Unarmed, the left fecklessly breeds up anti-American demons of a sort never seen before. Their self-loathing has begun to assume suicidal proportions. Just as their depraved brand of tolerance seeks to expiate their perceived sins with our own blood. As Diana West points out:

To live among the believers -- the multiculturalists -- is to watch the assault, the jihad, take place un-repulsed by our suicidal societies. These societies are not doomed to submit; rather, they are eager to do so in the name of a masochistic brand of tolerance that, short of drastic measures, is surely terminal.
The liberal left has gone terminal. In its rebellion against all things American, their moral compass is now demagnetized. Its needle drifts aimlessly, much as their agenda and platform. In seeking to please the malcontents with which they have purposefully infected this country, their policy is become poison.

Once upon a time, I was told that liberalism stood for rationalism, tolerance and human progress. I was happy to support such a cause. Yet eventually I found out that "logical" was merely code for "fits in with dogma", tolerance stood for rabid condemnation of all that didn't, and the progress was always related to some fuzzy idea about social justice, technology and material prosperity being regarded with suspicion at best. Oh, there are plenty moderates in this faith as well, but usually they are just as toothless in the face of their radicals as Muslims. They don't always quite like what they hear, it doesn't feel right, but they cannot argue back effectively. The fanatic's ideology is nothing but their own taken to its logical conclusion, after all. Not to mention that any fanatic, secular or religious, is often even nastier to apostates or heretics than to infidels.

Multiculturalism is a joke. There is but one really multicultural society in West, and that is USA. What we have in Europe - and what America seems to be turning into more each passing decade - is a collection of monocultural societies under one government. A society, however composed, does have a shared sense of identity, some shared values. Multiculturalism, however, goes its way to highlight the differences between peoples instead of similarities, celebrates refusal to assimilate even partially, and even claims that each ethnicity has its "own identity" it's entitled to keep. As if cultural identity was somehow transmitted in blood. Ironically, the only other people who hold to this preposterous way of defining identity are some sections of our far right...

Multiculti true believers are also characterized by the combination of rigid moral absolutism and whiny moral relativism. The very same idea can be savagely attacked or completely disregarded depending on whom it belongs to. This can lead to some pretty funny conversations.

"Well I think diversity is richness and our differences source of strength to our society."
"Doesn't that simplify the issue? Not all kinds of diversity are the same. For instance, if I believed that women are inferior to men, I am entitled to beat them if they don't do what they're told, and homosexuality is a sickness deserving a harsh penalty, would that be richness? And if you considered that a source of strength for our society, what kind of person would you be?"
"Pretty stupid and sick, yes, but that's not the kind of diversity I meant."
"I know. There is good diversity as well. For example, if we go ahead and let 50,000 Arabs immigrate yearly, most of them believing in all that, then that would be a good thing indeed. As you said earlier, immigration does enrich our culture."
"Uhm..."

To the family of Dominic, I am sorry to hear of your loss.

In a time when many are abandoning their religion, Dominic reminded us of the importance of Christianity’s role in the West.

Dominic, RIP.

As Islam strengthens, along with Muslim demographics, Christians will need to rediscover how their forefathers were able to keep a Christian Western Europe.
