Autumn for Britain and the U.S.
"Iran website heralding 'Mahdi' by springtime: State media: Shiite messiah to kill archenemy in Jerusalem, may arrive during next equinox," from WorldNetDaily.com, with thanks to Olivia:
An official state media website in Iran has posted a message heralding the coming of the Shiite messianic figure, Imam Mahdi, noting he could arrive with Jesus by the spring equinox."Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) will appear all of a sudden on the world scene with a voice from the skies announcing his reappearance at the holy Ka'ba in Mecca," the message says.
The Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasting website said in a program called "The World toward Illumination," that the Mahdi will form an army to defeat the enemies of Islam in a series of apocalyptic battles, in which the Mahdi will overcome his archvillain in Jerusalem.
The Mahdi's far sightedness and firmness in the face of mischievous elements will strike awe. After his uprising from Mecca all of Arabia will be submit to him and then other parts of the world as he marches upon Iraq and established his seat of global government in the city of Kufa. Then the Imam will send 10 thousand of his forces to the east and west to uproot the oppressors. At this time God will facilitate things for him and lands will come under his control one after the other. ...
After his appearance the Imam would remain in Mecca for some time, and then go to Medina. ... a descendant of the Prophet's archenemy Abu Sofyan will seize Syria and attack Iraq and the Hejaz with the ferocity of a beast ... finally Imam Mahdi sends troops who kill the Sofyani in Beit ol-Moqaddas (Jerusalem), the Islamic holy city in Palestine that is currently under occupation of the Zionists.
The Iranian series also claims the Mahdi will reappear on Earth with Jesus: "We read in the book Tazkarat ol-Olia, 'the Mahdi will come with Jesus son of Mary accompanying him.' ... Imam Mahdi will be the leader while Prophet Jesus will act as his lieutenant in the struggle against oppression and establishment of justice in the world. Jesus had himself given the tidings of the coming of God's last messenger and will see Mohammad's ideals materialize in the time of the Mahdi."

"It's springtime for the Mahdi in Tehran, Autumn for Britain and the U.S."
Robert, I'm puzzled, isn't springtime the same in Tehran as it is in Britain & the USA?
So the Mahdi and "Prophet Jesus" are expected to turn up soon at the black rock. Does anyone see the parallels with Christian eschatology, the latter day arrival of the anti-christ and his false prophet. Time to fasten seat belts I think, things are going to get bumpy.

What is going on here is all this talk about the "mahidi" or in reality, the "anti-Christ" and his false prophet, the Muslim verson of Jesus. This talk about spring is simply symbolic.

Sounds like Borat Ahmedinejad is a Mahdi-man.
I've read on faithfreeedominternational, an apostate website, that he's nicknamed "the monkey" in Iran. Hooo hooo!
at March 25, 2007 8:42 AM
so the monkey man from iran is on a mission eh. well
like others have posted earlier, those "great balls of fire" will come from the US and Israel onto those pesky iranian thugs hiding among their nuke site and military sites. oppression will be ended when islam is destroyed.

Ozi_bloke: Robert wasn't invoking the calendar when he said it's autumn for the US.. he was speaking metaphorically... autumn, as in, near death.

Perhaps this is the reason the Iranians seized the British soldiers. They're looking to incite the Mahdi's arrival. The U.S. Treasury and military should have been saved for this fight, not the useless one in Iraq.

Hey Ahmadinejad, how about getting a new original belief for Islam instead of stealing it from Iran's Zoroastrian past??
What a freak of nature.

By Allah, the shiites are a misguided sect free from the teachings of Mohammad(pbuh). The shiites believe,
1)The qur'an we have today is incomplete and has been tampered with like the books preceding it ie the Injeel and the Toarah
2)Mahdi (a man of God who will arrive Just before Jesus(pbuh) returns for a second time) will appear in the nude. Astaghfirullah
3)The companions of the prophet are cursed
4)God constantly changes His mind in line with changing situations. This sounds like a weak God who is experiencing a human short-coming
5)They worship the family of the prophet Mohammad(pbuh) Ali, Hussien fatima etc

Somewhat off-topic, but it appears that a senior Iraqi official is backing the Iranian claims that the Brits were in Iranian territorial waters.

I ain't no song writer but this fantasy of theirs is so preposterous that we should have some fun with it. Sung to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell.
The Mahdi’s in the well
The Mahdi’s in the well
Spring is here, all should fear
When the Mahdi leaves the well.
The Mahdi circles the well
Shoutin death to the infidel
Hi-ho the Mullahs crow
The Mahdi circles the well.
The Mahdi takes a wife
The Mahdi then takes your wife
Hi-ho he's just like old Mo
The Mahdi takes your wife.
The Mahdi says to Mahmoud
The Mahdi says to Mahmoud
Let’s go Jew a huntin, press that button
Hi-ho Uh-oh, Mahmoud’s done it now.
Enter the cowboy Bush
Who’s been without his weekly tush,
Wham bam goodbye Bam
Iran is turned to mush.

Time to go to war to... protect the petrodollar? Apparently so. Saddam Hussein was toppled because he in the fall of 2002 publicly stated that he was going to sell his oil in Euros instead of Dollars. This made it an urgent matter for the Bush administration to get rid of him. Now the Iraninas are doing the exact same thing, as can be seen in this documentary (from 29:00min):

Sure Islam is a big problem. But there are so many other factors in international politics that it's extremely narrowminded to suggest that religion is the only problem here. Behind it all is a global powerstruggle between Europe and the USA and the Middle East and Islam is used as a (somewhat unpredictable) joker in this game.

Religion (RoP® )that approves of 1st degree murder, rape of slaves, sex with little children, theft of infidel property, and the list goes on and on....
Looks like the RoP® will be following anti-Christ and has been for 1400 years.

Ozi_bloke:
The reference is not to literal springtime and autumn, but to Mel Brooks' "The Producers," and specifically to the song, "Springtime for Hitler in Germany/Autumn for Britain and France."
Since Ahmadinejad reminds me so much of Hitler, I thought it was appropriate.
Apologies to all who are unacquainted with the classic oeuvre of Mel Brooks.

How can the Mahdi show up in Mecca before Mohammad's only prophecy is fulfilled (Hadith Bukhari 2;26;666)? In which a "skinny-legged black man from Ethiopia tears down the Ka'aba stone by stone"? (Mo never mentioned whether it would be re-built.)
Their "prophets" have got their stories tangled up.
Or don't the Shi'ites believe what Mohammad said?

Payingattention: on the other hand, The Producers - the musical has been a steady hit on the London stage for some three or four years now. And to be honest, most producers, of the two, would rather have London.
Everyone else: I think it would be our luck if Ahmedinajad and the rest seriously felt willing to go to war. The one thing we cannot possibly do is lose a conventional war against Iran. The worst case scenario is the West getting sick of the effort after years and years of drip-drip violence. The best is if someone is crazy enough to expose themselves to all-out war: they have shown over and over again - Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, just to quote the most recent - that they simply are not up to it.

I think a little too much is being read into this. Think short term. Note the confluence of events: Israel's PM apparently willing to give up Jerusalem, and this screed proclaiming "Shiite messiah to kill archenemy in Jerusalem". As a call for the faithful to facilitate this result (by more violent acts of Jihad), I don't think it gets much clearer than that.

Prior to the Renaissance and the Enlightenment European 'scholars' debated things like "How many angels could dance on the head of a pin.?" Jewish mystics came up with the most convoluted numerology and relations between letters and numbers. Education made the difference--Western education with its roots in ancient Greece.
Education in Islam is very different. Whereas many middle-class Muslims do study and benefit from education in the West, the poor masses of boys learn the Koran and ancillary writings and little else of practical use to lift themselves from an impoverished (but faithful) life. Girls--well property doesn't need to know how to read (or drive or anything else that might liberate them).
They are true believers in something dangerously false. It ceases to amuse once steel is drawn through necks and youths with backpacks explode public buses.
Now millions of Christians believe we are approaching 'the End Times' (I don't) but only cult-like splinter-groups say things like "next Tuesday at 9:12 A.M." Maybe the published statement had more to do with shoring up the masses in preparation for what the Mullahs seem to want to happen.
On the subject of regime change I believe it's about as likely as the 'good' Germans overthrowing Hitler in 1939.
Seville wrote "...it's extremely narrowminded to suggest that religion is the only problem here. Behind it all is a global powerstruggle between Europe and the USA and the Middle East and Islam is used as a (somewhat unpredictable) joker in this game."
Religion IS the problem here. It wouldn't be if oil money did not empower it. As to Europe--there's little power there and it's increasingly evident that it is spriraling into decay. Ditto Russia. The powerhouses of the 21st century are already set: the U.S., China and India. But the spice (great reference to Dune earlier) that each needs is still in the lands of Mo.
War is and has been upon us. But we are constantly told that we're war-weary and anyway it's just not worth it.
So when will it be worth it? After Tel Aviv is nuked? London? New York?

Okay, so I'm not a "Christian" in the political or cultural sense, but didn't Jesus teach that no one but the Father would know the time of the end? Including him?
Didn't Jesus also teach that there would be many false prophets; and when people like these islamics say something like "behold, the messiah is there" do not believe them?
So isn't nice to claim on one hand that Jesus is on your side and at the same time, have the luxury of denying the very things he taught?
Either the islamics are liars or Jesus is.
I think Jesus was right -- I believe him; the islamics are the liars.

The Mahdi's far sightedness and firmness in the face of mischievous elements will strike awe.
I wonder if, when the great Mahdi shows up, he will lift Persia from the ingominious status of a pedophilic nation and raise the age of consent by at least seven years to 16 yrs of age, preferably to 18 yrs, to showcase all that morality Moslems are always bragging about.
That would be awesome.

Three snaps up to nabi profitsbeard (pbuh) for this excellent reference. How often have i been told by various mohametans that the (evil) kaba would stand till judgement day?
People, this is just stupid. First off said mohametans don't even know their own magical texts which do assert that the (evil) kaba will be destroyed. Second off, of course, since these magical texts are themselves stupid, written by stupid people at a stupid time, i refuse to take them seriously or put any stock in them at all. But empirical evidence does suggests that the kaba itself has no magical protection and is easily destructible.

Ozi, I think Robert is paraphrasing the name of a song in Mel Brooks' "The Producers":
It is a scene were Hitler and his friends are singing in 1940 "Its Springtime for Hitler in Germany, but winter for England and France", or similar, best I can recall.
If you have not seen The Producers, rent the DVD. Very funny.

Re the "Producers"
I haven't seen the stage show, but the original with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder is superior, as much as I love Matthew (Ferris Bueller) Broderick. However Uma Thurman is the icing on the cake in the more recent re-make.

Is it inevitable?
The Coming War with Islam
By Solly Ganor
FrontPageMagazine.com | March 15, 2007
Five years ago, I had a conversation with a young Palestinian student who in short precise terms explained how Islam will defeat the West. The conversation opened my eyes to a much larger picture in which Israel plays only a minor role in the Islamic game of conquest. Since then I tried to speak to some Arabs who come to pray at the Mosque, but they were not as outspoken as the student.
Last week, I had another conversation with an Israeli Arab construction boss by the unlikely name of Francis who was in charge of building a villa near our house in Herzelia. He told me that his family was Christian, and his name was given to him in honor of the Franciscan monks. Our conversation was as interesting as the first conversation I had with the Arab student five years ago and I would like to share it with you. Francis frequently parked his car near our house and we would exchange polite greetings.
About a week ago, the water was shut off for repairs in the house he was building, and Francis asked me if I could give him some hot water for his coffee. He was a tall man of about forty, with reddish hair and blue eyes. He spoke a perfect Hebrew, and I naturally became curious about him. I felt that he may the right person to exchange some views with. By his looks, I assumed that he was either a Druze or from the Syrian region. He looked more like a teacher than a construction worker and, as I later found out, he was actually a teacher by profession. Since my conversation with the student five years ago, I was always curious to hear their side of the story; therefore, I decided to invite him for a cup of coffee to our house. I saw him hesitate for a moment; then he smiled and thanked me for my hospitality.
While we drank our coffee, he told me that he was from a small village in the Galilee called Jish, near the present Kibbutz Sassa. I remembered the village very well as I was one of the soldiers who captured the village while serving in the 7th Armored brigade during the War of Independence in 1948. I decided not to tell him about it because at the time we encountered some stiff resistance at that village and quite a few of the inhabitants were killed.
He went on to tell me a little about himself. “For a while I was a teacher and I loved teaching, but I couldn’t make a living at it and I decided to join my father in law who is in the construction business.” Judging by the large Honda he was driving, I figured that he didn’t do too badly changing his profession.
Our conversation soon turned to the present situation in the Middle East, about Hamas winning the elections, the situation of the Israeli Arabs, and the last Lebanese war against Hezbollah. “As Christians we are in a difficult situation here in Israel. Unfortunately, the Moslems and especially the extreme Islamist section, are giving the tone here. My family who lived in Bethlehem probably since the Crusaders, had to flee for their life. The Moslems have been forcing us out, by threats and even murder. Bethlehem that was once predominantly Christian is now predominantly Moslem. Very little is written about it even in the Israeli press.”
He sipped his coffee and gave me a long look. He seemed like someone who wasn’t quite sure whether to say what he was about to say. I gave him an encouraging nod.
“I have to tell you something which very few of you seem to comprehend.” He continued, “Your bungling war against a few thousand Hezbollah fighters which you should have crushed no matter what, considering the importance of the outcome, has created a completely new situation, not only for this area, but globally. Your inept leadership totally misunderstood the importance of winning this war."
“As a matter of fact, the whole Moslem world, not only the Arabs, simply couldn’t believe that the mighty Israeli Army that defeated the combined Arab forces in six days in 1967, and almost captured Cairo and Damascus in 1973, couldn’t defeat a small army of Hezbollah men. As usual the Moslems see things the way they want to see things. Most think that the present generation of Israelis have gone soft and can be defeated."
“The American bungling of the war in Iraq only added to their conviction that victory not only over Israel but also over the West is not only possible, but certain. The ramifications of these two bungling wars may bring an Islamic bloody Tsunami all over the West, not only in Israel. The sharks smell blood and these two wars gave them the green light to attack sooner than they had in mind. Your problem is that you are on the defensive and they have the option to choose the time and the places when and where to attack and there is nothing much you can do about it. When will you Westerners realize that half measures don’t work with people who are willing to die by the thousands for Allah to achieve their goal? In their eyes the Western World is simply an abomination on earth that has to be wiped out.”
He spoke quietly and I could just picture him in the school giving his students a lecture. I poured him another cup of coffee and encouraged him to continue.
“The Americans, the Europeans, and even you Israelis really don’t know what it is all about, do you? During the last generation hundreds of thousands of children have been taught all over the Moslem world in Madrass schools to become martyrs for Allah in order to kill the infidels. These youngsters not only are ready to do it, but are actually in the process of doing it. Bombs are going off all over the world killing and maiming thousands of people, not only on 9/11 in the US, in London Madrid and Bali, but in Africa, India, Bengladesh, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and many other places. The first signs of the Islamic Tsunami is already here, but the West doesn’t understand, or doesn’t want to understand what is coming."
“The Americans, instead of realizing that this is as bad as World War Two, or even worse, are going to pull out of Iraq, handing it over to Iran on a silver platter. Next may come the Saudis and the rest of the Gulf states. When dirty bombs go off all over Western towns, who is going to stop the Iranians?"
“Now is the time to stop them, not only because they are developing nuclear bombs, but because Iran has become the base for all Islamic terrorist. They supply, money, men, and weapons to Islamic terrorist around the world, quite often through their diplomatic mail. Billions of petro-dollars that are pouring into Iran are being funneled into terrorist organizations world-wide. They believe, and perhaps rightly so, that the West will do nothing to stop them in achieving their goals. Is history repeating itself? Are the Iranians making the same mistake that Hitler made when he attacked Poland? Is the situation similar?"
“As a history teacher who studied the subject thoroughly I can tell you that Western victory in World War Two was not all certain. Hitler could have won the war if he would have gone ahead with the atomic bomb development before the Americans. The Germans began working on it in the thirties, and it was Hitler’s decision to prefer building more conventional arms, as he considered atomic weapons sheer fantasy. Hitler made the wrong decision, but had he made the right decision the world would have been a different type of world today, wouldn’t it? The West won the war against Hitler by sheer chance. Very few people seem to realize that.”
I must say that his last words shook me up quite a bit. Had Hitler made a different decision, I would have died in Dachau, there wouldn’t have been a Jewish state called Israel, and most likely there wouldn’t have been any Jews left in the world. The idea that the Western democracies in general and the fate of the Jewish people in particular could have hinged on Hitler’s one decision, is a scenario of the worst nightmare.
He notices that his last words had an effect on me, and he smiled. “I see that my words are not wasted on you,” he said dryly. I nodded, and he continued with his lecture. “Coming back to our time, the Iranians rely on the West doing nothing about their development of nuclear bombs. They also rely on their secret weapon: an inexhaustible supply of Islamic suicide bombers, some of them who are already planted all over the Western World. Besides the Islamic countries that supply these suicide bombers, a second front has been opened, and that is the Internet with more than five thousand Islamic web sites, brain washing and urging young Moslems to become martyrs for Allah. They especially target young Moslems who live in Europe and the West in general. The Western intelligence authorities consider these web sites a bigger threat than the Iranian atomic bomb. Al-Qaeda recently issued a television broadcast that promised a devastating attack against its enemies this spring. As we all know, Al-Qaeda doesn’t make empty threats."
“Actually, I don’t understand why the Iranians bother to develop atomic bombs and bring the whole world down on them. Every suicide bomber is a potential atomic bomb, or a biological, chemical or dirty bomb that can be no less devastating than an atom bomb. The Americans and Europeans have no defense against this type of war."
“What can we do against this type warfare?” I asked him. “Well, you Israelis, should better prepare yourself for another round against Hezbollah. It will not be long in coming. It depends on the Iranians to give the word. This time you will have to destroy Hezbollah no matter what the cost may be."
“Of course, your next round against Hezbollah may involve the Syrians and the Iranians against you. The Iranians declared that they will not allow Hezbollah to be defeated no matter what and may launch their missiles against you. So will the Syrians. What will Israel do? It is unlikely that Israel will accept its destruction and may use their nuclear arsenal if the West will not come to their help. Perhaps our book of Revelation is not so wrong in describing that the end of the world would start at Armageddon, which we know as Har-Megiddo in Israel. The book of Revelations describe the last battle would be fought at Armageddon between the “Forces of good and the forces of evil.”
“And who would you call the forces of good ‘Israel or Islam?’ I asked looking him straight in the eyes. He gave me a startled look. “If I were a Moslem, I would have no problem to name the forces of good and it wouldn’t be Israel. As a Christian, I would probably name Israel, but as a Christian Arab I would prefer not to answer.”
We looked at each other. His answer made it clear where the Israeli Arabs stood, whether they were Moslems or Christians. And why should I be surprised? After all the Israeli Arabs call the establishment of the State of Israel their nakbah (disaster).
Is there a way to avoid the “Armageddon”?
“I think there are two ways to avoid it. One can be a major war which the West can win. As in World War Two, had the West attacked the Germans in 1936 the war would have lasted not more than a month with very few casualties. Their procrastination resulted in World War II with all its consequences. Eventually, the West will have to tackle the Iranians, it is better that they do it now to avert a world catastrophe later. With Iran defeated the Islamic onslaught will lose its base, and it may be the turning point in history to defeat the menace of extreme Islam. The majority of the Moslems don’t want this confrontation anyway.”
“You are painting a rather dark picture. When do you think we will have the next round against Hezbollah?” I asked. “I think they will attack again as soon as they are fully re-equipped and I think it will be during the summer, while Israel is still in a military and political turmoil.”
For a while, we sat in silence. He finished his second cup of coffee and got up. “I know what I am going to do. I am going to Canada to join my brother. This country is becoming much too dangerous for Christians as well,” he said. He thanked me for the coffee and we shook hands.
“You said there are two ways to avoid Armageddon?” I remembered to ask him.
“Sure, all the West has to do is follow Putin’s ways. He assassinates his enemies without blinking an eye. Assassinate the four or five Mullahs who run the show, Ahmadinejad, and a few more Iranian fanatics, and the War can be avoided. It may be difficult to do, but not impossible. With today’s hi- tech technology I am sure that new weapons against individuals are being prepared right now. I think it would be a better way of handling the matter than an all out war against Islam.”
The conversation with Francis was not more encouraging than the one I had with the Palestinian student five years ago. It was becoming clear that Israel may be on the forefront for the coming war of the West against Islam, unless we follow Francis’ suggestion to assassinate the heads of the snake, rather than going to war with Islam."

Is this the level of idiocy we are dealing with? Some fictional character is going to pop out of a well and hey presto the Muslim world will inherit the Earth? Absolute and unmitigated bollocks if you ask me.
In World War One the opposing sides prayed to the same God before they went over the top and got torn to pieces by machine gun fire or artillery. Was God taking sides? The blood drenched fields turned to lunar landscapes would suggest not.
The problem is I do not know whether the Iranians really believe this or are using it to stir up the Ummah for the next apocalypse. Either way Ahmadinejad’s masters are playing with the lives of millions of people based on a stupidity so profound it is astounding.
I seem to remember hearing that the troll in the well was going to pop up and eat the Billy goat gruff this spring. Am I mistaken or is he too busy having a barbecue in hell to meet his servants call to arms. Maybe he hasn’t got through his quota of virgins yet. Maybe he needs another few months.
I also remember the call to apocalypse last summer. All these calls to apocalypse kind of get me confused.
So what is Premier Blair going to do about our navy personnel in the hands of the nutters? Issuing strong words will do I suppose and for extra effect get the school headmistress Margaret Beckett to do the stern talking, hardly a woman who could command respect from a teenager, never mind a psychopathic lunatic with bombs.
These charlatans who inhabit the corridors of power are now on show for the entire world in a crisis they cannot hide from. The jury is unhappy at the stern words from the EU. They are waiting for the British Government to grow some Thatcherism style balls and make a speech to the people condemning Iran.
Labour’s dedication to our troops is under scrutiny thanks to the smelly monkey in Iran.

turn-
Beautiful summary post.
We have always been reluctant warriors and it surprises me how many of "us" are more than ready to green-glass the pressure points of the Muslim world. Our historically slow and methodical path in applying overhwelming force is a good thing, as is the closely related concept of a government whose three branches move at a glacial pace.
None of us has the volume or quality of information that makes the job of Pentagon planners essentially 95% boring. They are not counting on an opportune moment to pounce; they hope it never comes (even though they know it will). A real warrior never hopes for or looks for a battle but he is always alert and prepared. Only after he has been struck, sometimes repeatedly (for clarification), does he know his enemy. Then he has cause and, God willing, the means to destroy the aggressor.
I agree that it appears the US, India and China will be the Big Three for this century. So the question begs: How are the Islamists playing each of them against the other, and against European interests? Will they perform terror events at clever times and places to influence events, as in Spain? These sorts of actions speak of a political agenda well beyond religion. The Koranic directive to subvert or destroy followers of all other religions is a separate issue, but everything is woven together in a knotted, messy braid, and this is no accident.

“Then the Imam will send 10 thousand of his forces to the east and west to uproot the oppressors.”
Is that it, just 10 thousand?
“Haig used 750,000 men (27 divisions) against the German front-line (16 divisions). However, the bombardment failed to destroy either the barbed-wire or the concrete bunkers protecting the German soldiers. This meant that the Germans were able to exploit their good defensive positions on higher ground when the British and French troops attacked at 7.30 on the morning of the 1st July. The BEF suffered 58,000 casualties (a third of them killed), therefore making it the worse day in the history of the British Army.”
And we still won the war.

The Bible says that the anti-christ would come on the world scene before Jesus Christ returns. And the Jesus of the bible is not the same one who is (supposedly) coming back as a lieutenant "under" the Mahdi. But he's coming back as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords! Which will make the Mahdi look like puffed-up-pixie-dust in comparison.
And I thought that the prophetic clock for Christs return started when Israel came back as a nation -- that the generation that saw this miracle could expect Christ's return. Anyone know more about this? I'm just a student of bible prophecy, not an expert.

ESCHATOLOGY 101 RE: THE MAHDI
The Mahdi (aka The Antichrist) is supposed to appear on the scene very publicly after a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse, both in the month of Ramaddan. This is eerily close to cataclismic events that are supposed to occur just prior to the rapture of the Christians in Revelation 6:12-14, imho.
The Mahdi/Antichrist will likely take credit for the rapture and claim he was expelling the infidels or that Allah did it.
Revelation 13:1-10 and Daniel chapter 7, especially verses 23-25, are the more prominent prophecies detailing the Mahdi/Antichrist.
Revelation 13:11-18 details the vocation of the False Prophet. He is the Islamic Issa or "Jesus". He will claim to be Christ and he will decieve many w/ lying signs and wonders, telling everyone to submit to the Mahdi/Antichrist. The False Prophet is symoblized by the appearance of a lamb (just like Christ the "Lamb of God") but who speaks like a dragon (ie...lies) The False Prophet/Issa "exercises all the authority of the first beast [AntiChrist] in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he decieves those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived." (Revelation 13:12-14)
Thus, the False Prophet will be the right-hand man of the Antichrist/Mahdi and claim to be Christ(Matthew 24:4-5) And he will deceptively validate his claims by performing miracles in the sight of many.
The Muslims are actually hoping for the appearance of the Antichrist! You might not believe it, and that is your business, but at least realize what is actually happening, and what is actually motivating them.

Erm turn, did you actually SEE the documentary that I posted a link to above?? Apparently not. Whats at stake here is the status of the US as a superpower. The US is de facto banckrupt, with a national debt totalling a staggering 43 trillion dollars and rising. The reason why this is allowed to continue is due to the fact that the Saudi's have given the Americans an 'oilcreditcard', making is possible for the US to spend money it doesn't have, producing giant deficits year after year. Do you really think that this can go on for ever?
By comparison the European Union has a much more healthy and balanced economy. If the Saudi's should one day decide to switch to the Euro when they sell their oil, this would lead to a collapse of the american economy that will make the great depression in the nineteen thirties look like on small headache. And the US will be ruined for good. THAT'S what's at stake here.

Persian regime and citizen
The structure is inverted. The religious establishment has power over educated citizens and government officials. They obscure their own abilities. They are not held to account. They wield their power. The president has no real power, cannot take risks, and avoids what the religious establishment may not accept. The president asks for permission, and is expected to read the mind of the religious establishment. The religious establishment defends unproven beliefs, instead of what is transparently true and false.
In the Stone Age like totalitarian regime, adherents impress their superiors, but their public intentions are falsehoods. They know the system is corrupt, but they lie to each other. Some officials do not have personal morals, since their ideology is collectivist. The regime is busy leading ineffectiveness and stifling creativity. Officials escape accountability and squander resources. They drag attention and energy back to what is not desired. They loose opportunities. There is entrenched insecurity, lack of confidence, and unproductiveness. They praise adherents with economic rewards, and punish critics. Force is used on the citizens. They put dissidents in prison. They are an obstruction to the goals of citizens. They think they have cooperation, but citizens use passive resistance.
The media focuses its time on small talk, where less is at stake. Discussion is limited. They spin and obscure what is not favorable. Matters of reformation, evidence of failure, incorrect decision, and options to change course, are not discussed. They also have a deluded sense of the dangers they face.
Citizens imagine a new sustainable design. They draw the gap between what is current, and what is idealized. Citizens know the weaknesses better then the regime. Effective power is intelligence. They quietly share ideas and criticism. Intelligent power would allow citizens to be willing and loyal. They do not want to be controlled. They seek to challenge decisions. Secular citizens are looking for an emotional connection to the vision of the country. A new or reformed regime will also remove the coercion.
Western government as a framework for Iranian reformers
The relationship between regime and citizen is complementary. Both know what must be done to lead to a positive outcome. Friction only reduces the quality of life. They answer and act on their purpose. There is a place for responsibility, innovation, flexibility, and ethics. Illuminating what is wrong, is not feared. They achieve by supporting each other. All levels fill the gaps in knowledge and abilities. Difficult and risky decisions are the journey, not the destination, and empower internal problem solvers and experts. They fulfill potential, by developing the country. Time and commitment is necessary. They lean from their mistakes by identifying and correcting. With consciousness and competence, they resolve issues and come up with new plans. They learn from an adversary’s point of view. Listening skills and building trust are essential. They admit wrong, listen to citizens, and seek help when they do not know the right path. They put ego aside and explain their actions. Women are also empowered.

The fact that the leadership of a nation fervently believes in a fairy tale like the Mahdi should worry any sane person. Throw in the fact that this same leadership is trying hard to get nuclear weapons in order to make that fairy tale come true should frighten any sane person to the point that they should support any action designed to eliminate such a regime of mental cases. The sooner such action is taken the better.

I laugh everytime I see Muslims use the name of Jesus in their religion. I guess they have absolutely no clue what His name means.
"Jesus[english]"
"Iesous[Greek]"
"Yeshua[Hebrew]"
Means "YHWH is salvation" The Hebrew God, which obviously is not Allah....since the closest Hebrew word to Allah is "Elahh" which means "to curse" [trust me I didn't make that that up...lol] Its a contradiction for them to even speak His name in honor. So how is Jesus going to lend any backbone to this flimsy Mahdi junk? So typical of a cult to latch on to the name of Jesus in order to try to bring some respect to their absurd beliefs.

By comparison the European Union has a much more healthy and balanced economy.
The only reason the EU is balanced is because it's flat on its back. The EU is killing the economies of its member states with regulations on just about everything... and yes, they are quite desperate for Saudi to start pricing in euros, only because it'll prop up "our" economy - that is, give a boost to the value of the Euro and make the Eurozone seem more economically viable. The truth of the matter is that the Eurozone countries are all in an economic spiral that makes the 50s in Britain look flat and healthy by comparison. The only reason it isn't noticed is because the economies of Ireland and Spain, both heavily subsidised by the EU, are inflating at a massive rate. They're doing this because the governments of those countries are getting a free ride from the EU, meaning they can keep their taxes low. My taxes end up paying for spain's current boom.
The US is going through a period of unprecedented economic growth. In a growth periods, deficits don't matter so much, especially if you don't conflate trade deficit with other kinds. A trade deficit is neither here nor there - it is an artificial label for a perfectly natural phenomenon. Money is exchanged for goods. That's trade. Other deficits are more important, but in the end they don't matter as long as economic growth continues, and since the US economy is still growing at a faster pace than any other western economy, without huge subsidies from an overarching busybody regulatory machine, I don't believe your dire predictions about a US collapse are as well grounded as you seem to think.
The real danger isn't Saudi pricing in euros, especially since the euro is so spectacularly crap these days. What currency you quote a commodity in is immaterial. The real danger is OPEC hiking up the price as a means of affecting policy. That would be a problem.

Of course not and I'm also sceptical myself - I'm sceptical about anything I hear, as one should be. However if you never allow yourself to be challenged on your beliefs, how are you ever going to evolve as a person? It's healthy to hear a different view now and then. Open your mind a little bit.
"You won't find a rational (that is without an agenda) economist that believes Europe's economy is or will be stronger than the U,S."
So the economists who side with the US don't have an agenda either? Give me a break. The US has a GDP of a staggering 12 trillion dollars but an even more staggering total debt of more that 43 trillion dollars. What's irrational about questioning whether or not this can go on? The US looks bankrupt. So why doesn't the US economy collapse? The theory of the documentary is that it's the famous petro-dollar recyclingsystem that keep the US economy growing, in spite of all it's imbalances. And any threat to that system must be destroyed at all costs, seen from an american point of view, even if it takes a war - or several wars.

Let's clear something up...
The ecclesia of Iran (as of any Muslim sub-cult) have faith in the most vile of creatures. And the political reps of the ecclesia tend to be severely deluded individuals who believe in the ecclesia and what they believe in. viz Achmadinajacket, Arafat, Nasrallah, al Husseini, Ibn bin Ibn bin al Saud bin Laden etc. In the case of the Iranian (and Saudi) ecclesia and those 'leaders' who comply, the rewards are: Aston Martins, Rolls Royces, Lear jets, shopping malls and concubines (or small boys) too numerous to count. The Saudis have Mecca, Medina and oil. Iran has oil and... the 12th Imam. The 12th imam will overwhelm the Sauds and hence score Mecca, Medina and... more oil. Israel is an issue to be dealt with swiftly - a mere inconvenience. The 12th Imam will deal with Israel, no doubt.
Iran has Shahab 3's, the Revolutionary Guard (giggle), half of Iraq, Hizb'allah, pissed-its-pants Syria and Allah on its side. Israel has only its widdle self, a few hundred multiple warhead nuclear missiles and a real God behind her. So, what's holding back the 12th imam? Could it be that myths, fables and legends should be manufactured only AFTER the war is fought? And then, only if the war is won? Where is King Arthur when you need him? Or Shrek?
Jesus has nothing to do with Islam... period. And no fable can amount to that formidable creature described in both Testaments as the Anti-Christ. And no Muslim can qualify as that most formidable of all opponents to the Truth, because Moslems are inherently tribal. The Anti-Christ will be the penultimate Individual. Nuff said?

The point here is that it will break the american monopoly on the oil trade and thus dramatically reshape the whole worlds trading system. As the program explains, this is how the petrodollar recycling system works;
In 1973 the USA made a deal with the oilproducing countries: "You must sell your oil only in dollars and place your money in America, namely the Federal Reserve of New York. Instead we keep you in power and make you rich." So the deal was done and the petrodollar recycling system was created.
The trading partners of the USA need dollars to be able to buy oil. So they sell products to the USA and get paid in dollars. They keep some of the dollars, but also spend some of the money buying oil from OPEC, the oil producing countries, who subsequently return the money to the USA. The only thing the USA has to do is to print the money which it can obviously do for free. So essentially the USA has been a parasite on the rest of the worlds population for decades now, who has indirectly been subsidising the american consumers. So while the americans have been growing fat, benefitting from an unfair tradingsystem that is based on their control of the oilflow, the rest of the world looks on in frustration, trying to work out a way to break the american monopoly.
In many ways the creation of the Euro can be seen such an attempt to break the american stranglehold on the world economy, as this article suggests:
" Getting a share of this economic free lunch has been one of the motivations, and perhaps the main motivation, behind setting up the euro. Were the euro to become a reserve currency equal to, or perhaps even instead of, the dollar, countries would reduce their dollar holdings while building up their euro savings. Another way of putting this would be to say that Eurozone countries would be able to reduce their subsidy to American consumption and would find that other countries were now subsidising Eurozone consumption instead."
http://www.feasta.org/documents/review2/nunan.htm
When Iraq switched to the Euro in 2000 it made the Euro go up in value. More interesting is it to note that when the Bush administration took over in Washington they immediately started to buy the Iraqi Oil - in Euros! They actually bought most of the Iraqi production up to the war in 2003, even if they had to buy it in Euros. And after the invasion they immediately switched the Iraqi oilproduction back to be sold in dollars, in spite of the fact that the Euro was worth more than the Dollar, some 17%, and as such it was in the short run a bad deal. But of course they did manage to tighten their grip on the worlds oil reserves, in the long run much more important.
It's very easy to develop some sort of tunnelvision when dealing with the Islamic world and start thinking that it's all about religion and only focus on Islam. But the world is more complex than that.

1)The Bible we have today is erroneous and has been tampered with like the Quraan!

Equinox,
Equinox is described as; either of the two points on the celestial sphere where the ecliptic and the celestial equator intersect. The vernal equinox, also known as "the first point of Aries," is the point at which the sun appears to cross the celestial equator from south to north. This occurs about March 21st, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. At the autumnal equinox, about Sept. 23, the sun again appears to cross the celestial equator, this time from north to south; this marks the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. On the date of either equinox, night and day are of equal length (12 hr each) in all parts of the world; the word equinox is often used to refer to either of these dates.
Out of two equinoxes that they are suppose to happen as the preludes for the advent of Mahdi, (as being claimed) around March 21st or on a later date of September 23. First date is just passing by and nothing has happened. Likewise, take it granted thousands and thousands of such dates of equinoxes will pass by but---no such Mahdi may appear who is going to come and fight for Muslims and conquer this planet for them.
They think that Mahdi will come and give them; every thing laid on a plate. People think it is that easy a task to be a Muslim?
Don't they know that earlier on; Jews rejected their 'Reformer- a humble, kind hearted Jesus'; on the pretext that; he was not found, a king of kings appearing with a pompous and show to hand them over the rein of this world and free them from the shackles of Roman Empire rulers.
Any how there is no season for day dreaming; so keep on dreaming and have a ----sweet dreams.

Allah completed His religion in shape of Glorious Koran and about Muslims; Allah says in chapter : 3 (Al-`Imran) Verse : 111"You are the best people raised for the good of mankind; you enjoin good and forbid evil and believe in Allah.
