Gunbattle at 'Jihad' Rally Kills 6 at Pakistani High School

"They wanted to speak with the boys and motivate them for jihad." Gimme a J!

From AP, with thanks to all who sent this in:

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Police challenged a group of suspected militants Monday at a high school in northwestern Pakistan after hearing that they wanted to "motivate" students for holy war, sparking a gunbattle that left six people dead, police said.

Five militants and one police officer were killed in the shooting at the privately run Oxford Public School in Tank, a town about 60 miles from the Afghan border, said Javed Khan, a local police officer. It was unclear whether any students were hurt.

Khan said the militants told the administrators of the boys' school to assemble the students so the militants could address them.

"They wanted to speak with the boys and motivate them for jihad," Khan said by telephone from Tank.

He described the militants as "local Taliban," a term commonly used to describe militants in the tribal belt along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

Gee, kinda sounds like the same kind of problem's our army recruiters are facing at high schools in this country.

They have 'police' and 'privately run public schools' in Pakistan? Interesting.

That's some funny stuff. And coming from a town called Tank no less!

“If they’d picked up the kids right away some of them might have survived,” Selim said. “Not one of them even dared to get their kids, they were moved more to get revenge. This is the problem with this country, there’s no security plan or reconciliation plan that will stop revenge. This country will not survive.”

I normally don't have anything positive to say about anything related to Pakistan but in this case good on the schools administrators for calllng in the cops when the thugs showed up. Maybe, just maybe there is hope for this hapless country.

Every where the islamists go, trouble follows don’t ya know.
Want more islamists in the USA? Get ready for our schools to resemble the airports ala armed camps. I truly cannot comprehend that many westerners are unable to grasp the fact that this type of behavior becomes routine as islamists multiply. Don’t worry the pols want to make our suspicions illegal!

Posted by: tgusa [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 26, 2007 12:32 PM

Since the Muslims had the shootout at the school, I would assume they arrived toting their weapons....This would certainly be a clue that bad things were going to happen...Muslims have been known to kill the teacher, and kidnap and kill those who refused to bow to Islam...yeesssiree,, bad things happen when Muslims show up...

Posted by: exsgtbrown [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 26, 2007 12:35 PM

Judging from what I have seen on the Military channel the muslims better stick to attacking hospitals, schools, politicians and other soft targets. From what I see the muslims, supposedly on our side hide when shot at and only when an American threatens to kick them in the ass do they fight back. And even then only half of them disengage from the fetal position, get up off the ground and attack the enemy. Really, really, pathetic.

This country will not survive.

Oh shaddap. Pak is flourishing. It's just that, this is what Moslems do.

Allah held forth on the Jihad recruiting issue many times, with the upshot being that if you were able-bodied, you were in the army now.

What excuse did these boys have for not enlisting to resist American imperialism?

Perhaps these lads were less than enthusiastic about taking up the role of soldier-catamite. But heck, all that'd be different for these Paki boys would be the gun, which might be to their advantage after sunset. Poor little Infidels.

* 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 *

While these brouhaha murders in Tank are something to behold, for the Ultimate Islamic Teaching Moment nothing can compare to what happened in Beslan.

There, if you'll remember, the festivities kicked off when the Al Qaeda activists had the 1st graders lined up in prisoner formation outside the greade school, a little girl began sobbing in fear, which in turn spooked a Moslem activist who in his agitation skewered the child with his bayonet. Straight through the front of her first-day-of-school blouse and right out the back. Upset the rest of the 1st grade class.

Now that's Islam at its most remarkable!

You know, American imperialism has been a real disappointment to me. My ancestors came to America 100 years before the Revolution (we left England to get away from religious strife, imagine how I feel right now). In my opinion I have been gypped, we have conquered much of the world but somehow that leaves me with an empty feeling. Where are the countries that we have imperialistically taken over and seeded to ourselves? No where is where, we always give it back and that’s the way it should be. American Imperialism, a myth so large it is on the scale of the protocols. Maybe next time around we will keep what we take, that’s right Europe I’m talking to you. Three strikes and you are out.

Or charge them for services rendered, and backdating the bill to 1945 and following. Europeans live better than Americans, and Americans have spent trillions, over the last fifty years, on NATO and other, at times almost unilateral, lavishments in support of, or in order to make the world safer for, people in Europe, and especially in certain countries (France, Great Britain, Germany) who apparently think that they can indulge in every kind of anti-Americanism (and its linked malevolence, antisemitism -- disguised as "justified anti-Israel" feeling) -- and not have us notice, or mind.

Well, we are noticing, and we do mind. And we may want Europe to pay its own way, beginning with the so-called need to "defend the oil supply" in the Midlde East, and perhaps also returning just one of those many trillions. After all, Europeans do live better than Americans, on average, and it has been made laragely possible by our money. We spend all that money on the military for the defense of the entire West (or, as in the Middle East, to "protect the oil supply" of Japan and all sorts of other countries).

It's beginning to grate.

PAKISTAN WILL LEAD REGION

YA RIGHT . Leader it will become but a JIHADI leader against all non muslims is what CROCKER missed.

Pakistan will lead region: Crocker

LAHORE: Outgoing American Ambassador Ryan C Crocker believes Pakistan will become a “regional leader” in the years to come, and the current close relationship between the two countries will endure.

“I have enormous confidence in the future of this country, the capacities and the intentions of its people. Pakistan in the years to come is going to be a regional leader,” Crocker said in an interview with Khabr-o-Nazar, the US Embassy-Islamabad’s monthly magazine. The farewell interview will be published in the March issue of the magazine, which comes out today (Monday).

Crocker said the Pakistan-US relationship had developed significantly during his time as ambassador over the last two-and-a-half years. Key to this improvement was “the development of the institutions of our relationship”, such as US military and economic assistance. But the biggest boost came with the earthquake relief and reconstruction effort. “Both the size and speed of the US response was ... an indication of how deeply affected Americans were by what happened to people in Pakistan,” he said.

Crocker said the US administration was trying not just to improve its relationship with Pakistan’s government, but the relationship between the peoples of the two countries. One example of this was the expansion of the US Fulbright scholarship programme for Pakistani students. This allowed Pakistani students to develop their skills, and also an appreciation of American people and society.

They would also meet Americans who had never encountered a Pakistani, thus giving them a sense of what the Pakistani people are like. “I think you are going to see a progressive strengthening of understanding and, through understanding, friendship at a people-to-people level,” he said. daily times monitor

Fear no man, no ideology, no religion, no system. That is what the enemies of freemen seek, have always strived for it has never changed in the history of Man. Words and Pictures from all sides are all freemen’s allies. Study history, don’t just read it! History will repeat itself, if allowed.
True American’s do not seek to lead the world they seek to be left alone to cultivate their crops, to go to work to raise their children, to enjoy the time they have in this greatest nation since the Greeks. To bless, yes bless the world. Be you Atheist or Christian Jew or Hindu and everything in between, America and her true people are your best friends, also your worst enemies if need be. You make the call not us.

If Crocker wrote that nonsense above about our false friend Pakistan, and meant them, then he's not the man for the job in Iraq. If he didn't mean them, he should explain why he felt that fawning prediction about dysfunctional, deeply hostile Pakistan, would do good. Far better not to give Muslims, anywhere, what they want, or tell them even what they want to hear. Let them be read, rather, the Riot Act. It's still in force.

If these words were in fact by Crocker (and not dictated to him in Washington), and he is to be the new American ambassador to Baghdad, then God Save the People of the United States.

The guvment of the USA it seems would have us revert to pre 19th century America. Back then women had no rights. Now that doesn’t mean we treated women as the islamists do. The treatment of women for instance varied with where you lived, for instance women in my family attended college long before the women’s rights movement(they always had freedom just not written rights). Their men wanted any who desired education to get it and they did. So how do we stop this islamist movement in the USA? We put out foot down using the Constitution, isn’t it great that those guys were so smart that they could cause any enemy from any century a great amount of trouble?

He described the militants as "local Taliban," a term commonly used to describe militants in the tribal belt along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

He could be much more specific if he killed an old yellow cow, cut a piece from the dead cow, and hit the slain students with meat.

Then the students would come back to life and identify the real killers by name. And Allah knows best. Duh.

2:69 They said: Pray for us unto thy Lord that He make clear to us of what colour she is. (Moses) answered: Lo! He saith: Verily she is a yellow cow. Bright is her colour, gladdening beholders.
2:70 They said: Pray for us unto thy Lord that He make clear to us what (cow) she is. Lo! cows are much alike to us; and Lo! if Allah wills, we may be led aright.
2:71 (Moses) answered: Lo! He saith: Verily she is a cow unyoked; she plougheth not the soil nor watereth the tilth; whole and without mark. They said: Now thou bringest the truth. So they sacrificed her, though almost they did not. 2:72 And (remember) when ye slew a man and disagreed concerning it and Allah brought forth that which ye were hiding. To settle a murder mystery, Allah brought a murder victim back to life by hitting his dead body with a piece of the yellow cow. The risen man then identified his murderer!
2:73 And We said: Smite him with some of it. Thus Allah bringeth the dead to life and showeth you His portents so that ye may understand.

And how do Europeans who share your sentiments get our governments to do that??!! Please - SOMEONE - tell me what do we do to get JUST ONE country in Europe on point?

IMHO it would be up to the American government to state these issues in public. I can write all the emails I want to the German government and the various party officials and the result is exactly the same you get over here.

Namely silence or at best a form reply.

And right now it looks as if Americans are electing governments who are going the wrong way themselves - rather than taking even the slightest bit of advice from the anti-jihad side of things. Just look at the "refugees' we are taking in. And all the SOWdi "students" and the open borders.

I WISH the Americans would send Europe the BILL! It would be quite educational for them.

They do indeed live rather well to the point of being so blase re. the islamofascists setting up camp all over the continent.

All they do is take vacations and go to the [free] doctor. If it were up to me I'd have all the Euros in boot camp!

Get 'em ready to fight the fight that's sure to come.

As for me I will do what I can realistically do right now. I will attend the rally against islamofascism Sunday March 31 AT NOON. Site is NYC World Trade Center.

I will try to take pictures too.

India is the best revenge on Pakistan. Bush is right to emphasize our alliance with India, and I made a special contribution to the GOP after he proposed the sharing of nuclear technology with India. India progresses, while Pakistan regresses, hobbled as it is with Islam.
I've had some friendly chats with Hindus on the web. They're some good dudes. Jai Hind!

The students got a good first hand look at what Jihad is all about. A bunch of idiots killing people!

The tragic thing is that most Muslims in the Islamic world really believe that jihad is a legitimate bases for civilization. Blinded by their own religious indoctrination to not see that it is really a bases for barbarism and totalitarianism.

Posted by: leonthepigfarmer [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 27, 2007 12:36 AM

The occassional student with a gun incidents does not compare to the frequent armed Muslim invasions of Mulim schools. The occassional student with a gun at school is generally angry or feeling threatened by other classmates...The Armed Muslims enter the school with an agenda to kill, kidnap, intimidate, and to let the populace know they are there and that the populace had better bow to their agenda or else...

....the only common thread is that weapons were brought to school....the reasons are entirely different...and the number of Muslims invading schools and killing the teachers and/or students is far higher than the occassional student weapon incidents....

the situations may appear similiar , but they are not.,..
