45 Iraqi Shi'ites massacred in reprisal attacks

Another indication of the fact that the Iraqi adventure was undertaken without sufficient understanding of the realities of Islam, much less of the Sunni/Shi'ite divide, which Condoleeza Rice recently asserted breezily that Middle Easterners would just have to "overcome." Yes, I'm sure they'll get right on that.

"45 Iraqis massacred in reprisal attacks," by Mujahid Mohammed for AFP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

MOSUL, Iraq (AFP) - Gunmen massacred 45 men in an overnight rampage in apparent revenge for bombings that killed 75 people in a mixed Iraqi town once hailed by US President George W. Bush as a beacon hope.

"We received 45 bodies of handcuffed and blindfolded men from al-Wahada neighbourhood overnight. They were killed yesterday just after the bomb," said a doctor at Tal Afar hospital in northern Iraq on Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The wanton shootings and lethal bombings underscore the raging Sunni-Shiite sectarian warfare that continues to grip the country, as well as a Sunni-led insurgency fighting against the Shiite-led government and its US backers.

Two bomb attacks in Tal Afar on Tuesday killed 75 people and wounded 190 in Shiite districts of the mixed town, which is witnessing its worst violence since Bush in March 2006 held up the onetime militant stronghold as a model for efforts to create a stable Iraq.

In the worst attack, a suicide bomber tricked soldiers into believing he was delivering food supplies to a Shiite area where he detonated his cargo of explosives within a crowd of waiting men and women.

I posted this in response to Jordan's king saying there will be 100 more years of war... and what I am trying to say is that as long as we have people following the koran and mohammed, we will have war for a much longer time - and that goes for muslim vs muslim and muslim vs infidel wars. Basically, the idea of compromise, toleration, or having a court of law and laws that stop murderers they will continue to kill infidels and others. This is why all the wars around this globe involve muslim aggression, or offensive tactics.

start of yesterday's post:

I would like to ask anyone - why is this a big deal? More years of war in muslim lands, or outside of it, started and conducted by muslims is just more of the same. It is just the continuation of war since mohammed's time. muslims look at war as a religious duty, just as the other religious functions they perform.

From 'The Legacy of Jihad' edited by Andrew G. Bostom, MD; forward by Ibn Warraq

Chapt 29, The Law of War by Clement Huart, pp282-284

"...When was there ever a war that was not said to be a holy war? Either the war was conducted outside of the limits of muslim territory, which is indeed a holy war, since it is theoretically waged to bring the infidels into the bosom of the true faith; or else it took place on muslim territory itself, in which case it is still a holy war, since it is a question of putting down rebellion against the supreme authority. ..."

"...War is evil in itself, because it involves two consequences that are undoubtedly evil: the destruction of the human body and the devastation of entire provinces. ...
War is therefore an evil, and the worst of evils; how, then, did it become a good thing and, as such, something incumbent on men? The answer is: in light of its purpose. Since this purpose is the exaltation of the true faith and the repression of the infidels' iniquity (since true equity exists, theoretically, only in muslim society), it is understood that holy war is a necessary evil, as long as there will be on earth minds which will not surrecnder to the evidence or to persuasion. And so the casuists ended up classifying holy war among the accidental acts of piety, and they ranked it after faith, payer, fasting, and pilgrimage, which are essentially acts of piety.' ...

Islam is the only religion that kills its members with such reckless abandon....Why would anyone want to be a Muslim?.

The shiites or more precisely the shits are heretic pagan who love the prophet mohammad's family more than they love God. They believe in 12 'hidden' imams who have knowledge of the unseen....This world has too many pagans roaming around (it wont harm to reduce their numbers)

If there is anything positive about Iran having nuclear weapons, anything at all - it is the quite high probability that Iranian nuke would be used against sunni/wahabi country, rather than against Israel.

They say "religion is the opiate of the masses".

If this is true, then islam is Heroin. Once your brainwashed, there is no going back. If you try to quit islam, the withdrawal symptoms will literally kill you.

exsgtbrown,

"Islam is the only religion that kills its members with such reckless abandon....Why would anyone want to be a Muslim?"

IMHO quite a few of them (new converts especially) hope to be the ones doing the killing.

Don Abdul (Sunni) versus Don Ali (Shiite) wage war (jihad) for control of the business interests (Koran) to see what surviving Family shall rule the rackets (faith).

Mohammad, the pedophile Godfaddah, laughs from hell.

President Bush just addressed a friendly audience last hour. The “I believe that all people want to be free” speech. If we fail ‘we will have lost our moral compass in the world”.

One new item. He demanded that Congress deliver a clean Bill to his desk “or the American people will know who to blame” for the failure in Iraq. It is hard for me to believe that we’ve stretched this war out for years to play the blame game.

The President has forced the West to look at Islam, has unleashed and rubbed raw Islamic secretarian divides, and has widely distributed small arms to tribes throughout the Middle East.

Iraq’s population doubled under the stability that Saddam generated. The President has done his best to reverse things. The Iraqis will have been given their freedom, probably a net positive for the West.

Abdullah

You might want to join with the Ikhwan and kick off this project against Hizbullah in Lebanon and the Baathist Alawites in Syria.

Go for it.

Iraq is an open wound and kept that way in a daily letting to sponge off the furor of the region.

If one sees violence and murder in Iraq, then one tends to behave in Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and even Iran.
Iraq is a lesson which Muslims can understand in teaching them what they refuse to learn.

If all of Iraq though were bad there would be ten thousand dead daily, so it is not that bad and violence is confined to the areas it is meant to take place.
A little violence keeps America in place just as much as a little violence keeps NATO in place in Kosovo securing what was a Russian stronghold.

The King of Jordan is incorrect in his 100 years war as oil will run out in 20 years and once the oil is gone there will not be money nor interest in the region and the terrorists will go back to sticks and stones.
That is the best assessment as literal case assessment will foment a regional war using WMD. This will terrify the masses of Europe to form a united Napoleonic government without rights. The Eurasians will then arm to the teeth. America will withdraw as scared Americans will demand to rid of the region (that is why President Bush is pushing bio fuels and drilling in America as the planners are working this stalemate for American security) and a few years later the world will have another bloody Eurasian world war killing billions this time as they unleash all they have on each other.

So the King of Jordan and all others are wrong in their assessments. This is working out exactly as the flow charts depict and the dam George Bush tried to erect in stopping this and directing it has not prevailed, but it has directed the flow enough that perhaps America will not suffer a direct nuclear attack from Russia or China in the years to come.

For those who can see it, Iraq is working splendidly and time will show it is worth ever penny and Americans owe every soldier there our children's lives in the future to come.

The importance of a chess match is to not be concerned about the Bishop moving on your flank now, but to see the Queen making checkmate in 3 moves ahead.
George Bush in Iraq is working on the Eurasian Queen which 99.9999% of the world has no comprehension of what is being offset so Americans do not die here in mass.

A controlled implosion in Iraq keeps a coming Eurasian explosion from blowing up the United States.
That is how brilliant these American players are while working against Russian, Chinese, European and Islamic cartels, along with the leftist media, and it is why George Bush is going for broke as he knows the reality of what is coming.

Every single day Iraq shows us just how peaceful the world would be if Islam took it over.

"45 Iraqi Shi'ites massacred in reprisal attacks"
- I think the headline is wrong. The victims of the reprisal attack seem to be Sunnis, because previous bombing took place in Shi'ite area.

"Booty" - in both senses, a perfect description of islam. Heh heh

Jeez, Lame Cherry, You make Bush out to be a genius, having thought out all moves ahead, and ahead of everyone else. I hope you are right. Myself, I have come to believe he is an idiot. Like I said, I hope you are right, and I am wrong.
