The first time I saw an interview of Robert was with Brian Lamb on c-span. With people, I try to listen to the background music and detect something about their personality. I detected two aspects of Robert: he has a keen mind and a simple heart. I think he had a warm family (I've seen him post his grandmother's Turkish recipes for some food from the old country). I detect a certain trusting quality in him that could harm him. There are a lot of wolves out there-not just Muslim wolves.

All I can say is America needs to wake up and smell the coffee. I can't express how grateful I am to Robert for his ideas and opinions on this subject. And agree that Islam is not only a 'religion' but is a 'political' movement hell bent on ursurping its influence over the US and other western democracies. I think this is an issue to bring to the forefront of our next election and the politicians that don't see the reality of the situation should not be elected! This is a clash of civilizations and its time we wake up and take notice because our way of life is threatened!

In "The Truth about Muhammad" author Robert Spencer argues that the example of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, justifies jihad and terrorism. At the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, Mr. Spencer describes Muhammad's life and teachings as violent and urges Americans to understand the true nature of Islam in order to effectively prosecute the War on Terror ().

Spencer presents arguments that, in my opinion, ought to be squarely confronted by all (Muslims or non-Muslims) who would defend moderate Islam from arguments/attacks by Spencer and others with similar beliefs. Such defenders of Islam ought to debate Spencer and his supporters openly, and coverage of such a debate ought to be given worldwide media coverage.

I ought not be required to read Spencer's book (though I have just ordered a copy of it) in order to be able to garner therefrom a collation of his seemingly persuasive arguments and in order to balance them against whatever are the probably cogent rebuttals to be offered by defenders of and proponents for Islam.

I would like to be able to point friends to a future C-SPAN2 airing of Spencer's presentation, but I do not find it listed again at

Nor can I yet find a copy of it available at CSPAN as a video available for sale . . . though I think it so important as to suggest that it be available for free online viewing, instead.

Please tell me when it will air again, so that I can give some friends advance warning. Better yet, please tell me where it is already available for free, online viewing. If you have not already yet done so, maybe you could give Robert Spencer permission to let people access your video from his Website.

I posted the link to the Heritage.org web site where you can watch Mr. Spencer's presentation, the one that aired on C-SPAN. The video is in Windows Media format. You can also listen to it via streaming mp3 or download the mp3.

Robert is one of the few people I say a prayer for to Almighty God. I'm a sinner, but I'm not a phony when I pray to God. (Actually, I'm rarely a phony to people. But sometimes I hold back insults that I really believe are merited with some people. At those times I guess the Grace of God is with me.) God bless Robert.
