M. Fawad Mansoori, a board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Jacksonville, has written an op-ed in the Florida Times-Union (thanks to Doc Washburn), "ISLAM: Muslims can live in harmony," that is full of the usual detours and deceptions, as well as a strong affirmation of loyalty to the U.S. Constitution.
According to a Gallup Poll, four out of 10 Americans have admitted prejudice toward Islam and Muslims.
Mansoori, like all others of his ilk, never pauses to consider the possibility that Americans have a different view of Muslims from their view of Hindus or Buddhists because of Muslim actions, carried out repeatedly in the name of Islam, not just because of blind prejudice.
Unfortunately, a recent letter writer suffers from the same malaise.Fom the dawn of Islam, Muslims have adapted to live in harmony in large multicultural societies.
The third largest Muslim population in the world now lives in India, accounting for fewer than 20 percent of its population.
If Islam commanded conversion at the point of a sword, would Muslims still be a minority after eight centuries of uninterrupted rule?
Straw man, of course. Islam doesn't mandate conversion at the point of a sword for everyone. It does for pagans, as opposed to the "People of the Book," who are to be offered dhimmi status, but in fact, Hindus were awarded dhimmi status in India after it proved to be impractical to convert or kill them all.
Look no further than Spain to learn that, despite over six centuries of Muslim rule, it was the intolerant Christian Inquisition that gave Muslims and Jews three options, convert to Christianity, leave Spain or die.
As far as the Muslims were concerned, their expulsion wasn't "despite," but because of centuries of Muslim rule, which along with the inherently political nature of Islam made the Catholic monarchs doubt their loyalty to the state.
Today, despite the mosque in Cordova being one of the most beautiful in the world, no Muslim prayers are allowed there.
Right. Just as Christian prayers aren't allowed in the Hagia Sophia or myriad other former churches or sites of churches in the Islamic world.
A recent poll by the Council on American-Islamic Relations shows the American Muslim population to be both young and highly educated.Sixty-two percent have obtained a bachelor's degree or higher, which is double the comparable national figure for registered voters.
The survey results also show that Muslims are already well integrated in American society.
Eighty-nine percent said they vote regularly; 86 percent said they celebrate the Fourth of July; and 64 percent said they fly the U.S. flag.
Forty-two percent said they volunteer for institutions serving the public (compared to 29 percent nationwide in 2005).
Eighty-four percent said Muslims should strongly emphasize shared values with Christians and Jews.
Seventy-seven percent said Muslims worship the same God as Christians and Jews do.
Only seventy-seven percent? Haven't the other twenty-three percent been told that this is in the Qur'an (29:46)?
The letter writer's assertion that Muslims want Shariah law to displace the U.S. Constitution is pernicious.The U.S. Constitution is consistent with aims and objectives of Islamic Shariah.
It would be refreshing if he would explain this in light of the Sharia's denial of freedom of conscience and institutionalized inequality for non-Muslims.
The constitutional principles in Islamic sacred texts state that the political process must be based on "elections" and the elective and governing process must be based on "broad deliberation."
But only for Muslims.
Upon establishing the Islamic state, Prophet Muhammad developed the Charter of Madinah.The charter declared all tribe members to be full citizens of the state, but, at the same time, each tribe retained its identity, customs and internal relations.
The charter also granted freedom of religion and the right not to be found guilty by association.
The Charter of Medina was superseded during Muhammad's career by warfare against those with whom he concluded it, and from the beginning of Islam until now, Islamic law has never granted non-Muslims equality of rights with Muslims.
American Muslims, contrary to wanting to replace the U.S. Constitution, are at the forefront of striving to preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution, so help us God.
Glad to hear it. I hope you will explain, Mr. Mansoori, how your statement here relates to that of CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future." Is CAIR as a whole now disavowing any such intention or hope?

Yes, and how freely are Jews able to access the holiest of their holies in Jerusalem. And how respectfully have Muslims treated countless Jewish relics in the Holy Land in pursuit of their insanely ahistoric claim that the Jews have no prior, superior claim to Temple Mount and its surroundings?

Islamic law
Punishments include imprisonment, flogging, amputation, and execution by beheading, public stoning, hanging, or firing squad.
Punishment for thievery is amputation of the right hand. Multiple amputations are carried out for the crime of highway robbery.
For persons convicted of less serious crimes, such as alcohol related offenses or being alone in the company of an unrelated person of the opposite sex, the offenders are punished by being flogged with a cane. Adultery is punishable by public stoning.
In Shari'ah court, a man's testimony equals that of two women. Crimes against Muslims receive harsher penalties than crimes against non-Muslims.
In Shari'ah law, Muslim women are prohibited from marrying non-Muslims. But Muslim men are permitted to marry Christians and Jews, as well as Muslims.
Religious tolerance: If a Muslim strays from Islam they must, in accordance with Islamic laws, be prosecuted, taken into custody by force and be called on to repent. If necessary, his or her return to Islam is to be "helped along" with torture.
Those who do not embrace Islam and wish to convert to another religion have, according to Islamic law, forfeited their life and are to be put to death by the state.

I'll be persuaded when Mr Mansoori renounces Sharia law as barbaric, primative and immoral, instead of trying to convince us that it is somehow constitent with the constitution of the United States.
I can't quite figure out if people like M. Fawad Mansoori are liers or just plain ignorant of their own religious faith.
Whatever his motives, he, like most Muslims, seem to have an inexhaustable capacity for self-delusion. They never tire of trying to get square pegs into round holes. When bashing a womens brains out with rocks is reconciled with the constitution's prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment, then he will have succeeded in doing the impossible.

Why should they replace the Constitution with Shariah?
With a little help from traitors like bush, pelosi, ellison, conyers, shapiro ... (too many more to mention - but these are the most infamous) they can use the Constitution to enshrine the shariah into the legal structure of the US!

The more CAIR rants the more attention they get from people who had no cause in the past to have any doubts that the line they were being fed about Islam was just that. A line.
One thing about the Western world is that we still have the ability to deduce the fact that there IS a question.
While we may have some trouble sort through all the garbage to find the actual question, we still have the ability to ask why.
I was watching Al Sharpton attacking Don Imus on the Today show. He wants him fired. While I wouldn't listen to that jerk (Imus) if you paid me to, even Liberal knee-jerk Matt Lauer recognized this as an attempt to shut down free speech. And the danger that lies within. Matt argued that the market-place would censer Imus. Sharpton's stance made me wonder if he had some CAIR money in his pocket. Shut up Imus today, tomorrow Neal Boortz.
When that Oklahoma newspaper ran the whole front page on Easter about Islamophobia instead of Christianity's holiest day, it probably created more Islamophobes than it cured. Or maybe we need to coin a new phrase.

I do not understand how, for all these years, the Sharia law was confined and not used! The Arabs rejected bin-laden for this! Then bin-breathed life back into them and they are alive and well now! This is what we are fighting! This absurb ideology! Gen.Pershing killed the last of these people trying to take over years and years ago.
A policeman once said to me if you want to change things you don't protest you get in the inside and change it! They existed before the time of Christ to about 1925. They were almost gone! Now,the dhimmi's Pelosi all the marshmellows in Congress has just handed it over to them just like that! No war! Just like that it is gone! They are all keeping the Sharia law alive! Helping bin-laden even more! All these years people fought them! Now Polosi and the left are supporting them, in our college's, doctors, lawyers, real estate, ACLU, United Nations, White House! The very thing we set out to destroy! Pelosi sneaking it in the back door rather right under our noses! She speaks for us! She 'thinks' she 'thinks' for us! Most of these people get busted out! These people in CAIR! All these years they were given no oxygen to exist! It just blows me away, this is a war right here! How can we fight that when they are everywhere!?

Somehow, holocaust denial - be it Jewish or Hindu - seems to be a fad with the Mohammedans.
All the more reason why they deserve one of their own.

The other 23% understand the truth of their own religion in so far as its historical and cultural background and of the personality of the deity described. I have spoken with Indonesian Muslims who wholeheartedly agree that their god is not the same entity as the God of the Bible.

Ha!! I used to believe this huge lie, but now I know better.
The Mighty One (Elohiym) of the Christian/Jewish faith is named Yahweh, not Allah. Scripture never once mentions Muhammad or Allah, though I do believe Yahweh speaks of them in several places, and the things He says about them are not good.
Clueless people used to tell me that the Muslims worship the same Elohiym as Christians do, but I did my research. I read a lot about Muhammad and Islam.
Allah is not Yahweh.

Isn't lack of peace with muslims the reason Pakistan was created? Out of India? What about Bangladesh? The other Pakistan. And Kashmir is at war within.
India's history is an example of muslims making a country break apart. Slowly but surely.

Everyone has their own interpretation so I'll just say this. IEUE is JEHWEH. The original translation. Others interpret it Yehweh. Jehovah. It is Jehweh oldest of oldest translation. The Sunni's and Shia's also use Yahweh. They believe the paths in life. They are at war with each other they feel one knows the right path over the other. Islamist believe Allah to be God. That name for God all these were translated but then this scholar I knew and loved all my life gave me his book to publish and people can see how he arrived at this. Plus it does put you on the right path! At least offers to do so, all the info there you need to know what it means. The Christian Jew The Bible what it means and Jesus! hey and welcome to this site. Has anyone ever heard of 'taqiyya'?
Muslims can say anything they want--particularly if it what "unbelievers" want to hear. That certainly wouldn't mean they meant it.
So, the moral of the story is take CAIR's op-ed with a thousand grains of salt. Most likely itisn't worth even that.
OH-
By the way, the Kuran teaches first degree murder to its followers. Since when is being opposed to first-degree murder "prejudice"? And even if it was "prejudice", why would that be a bad thing in this case? (Forget about asking CAIR or any Muslim really, that's for sure).

To whom it may concern:
Islam is often in the news these days. News articles that relate to Islam sometimes refer to the Shariah. What is the Shariah? The Shariah is the Islamic Sacred Law which was developed hundreds of years ago by Islamic jurists using the Koran and hadith (remembrances about what the Prophet Muhammad said and did during the time he was alive) as guideposts. The Shariah outlines a complete way of life in a legal framework which tells you how to do everything from how to pray to how to go to the bathroom. What does the Shariah law actually state? Here are some examples of Shariah law:
1. Offensive, military jihad against non-Muslims is a communal, religious obligation;
2. A person who is ignorant about Islamic legal opinion must follow the legal opinion of a scholar;
3. The penalty for a Muslim apostate (someone who no longer believes in or no longer follows the tenets of Islam) is death;
4. When slaughtering animals for food, a knife must be used to cut the windpipe and gullet;
5. A woman is only eligible to receive half the inheritance of a man;
6. Marriage may be forced on virgins by their father or father’s father;
7. A non-Arab man may not marry an Arab woman;
8. A woman must seek permission from her husband to leave the house;
9. A Muslim man cannot marry a woman who is a Zoroastrian, an idol worshipper, an apostate from Islam or a woman with one parent who is Jewish or Christian, with the other being Zoroastrian; a Muslim woman cannot marry anyone but a Muslim;
10. A free Muslim man may marry up to four women;
11. Retaliation is obligatory in most cases when someone is deliberately murdered except when a Muslim kills a non-Muslim, a Jew or a Christian kills a Muslim apostate or a father or mother kill their offspring;
12. Non-Muslim subjects (Ahl al-Dhimma) of a Muslim state are subject to a series of discriminatory laws – “dhimmitude”;
13. The penalty for fornication or sodomy is being stoned to death;
14. The penalty for an initial theft is amputation of the right hand. Subsequent thefts are penalized by further amputations of feet and hand;
15. A non-Muslim cannot testify against a Muslim in court; a person who is “without respectability” cannot give legal testimony; a woman’s legal testimony is only given half the legal weight of a man’s (and is only acceptable in cases involving property); to legally prove fornication or sodomy requires 4 male witnesses who actually saw the act;
16. The establishment and continuation of the Islamic Caliphate (by force, if necessary) is a communal obligation;
17. Sodomites and Lesbians must be killed;
18. Laughing too much is forbidden;
19. Musical instruments are unlawful;
20. Creating pictures of animate life is forbidden;
21. Female circumcision, which includes the excision of the clitoris, is obligatory;
22. Slavery is permitted;
23. People may be bribed to convert to Islam;
24. Beating a rebellious wife is permissible; and,
25. Lying is permissible in a time of war (or jihad).

Most of Florida's Newspapers are subsidiaries of the the NY (treason) Times. In order to get a letter to the editor published you have to give your name and address. Would you trust that bunch with this information? CAIR members don't have to worry they have the FBI looking out for them.
Has any one besides me wondered why when there are so many more important issues for our lawmakers to deal with they are focusing on getting rid of the US Atty Gen.?
Check out CAIR's website and their action alerts. They want one of their terrorist buddies released.

Dr. Sami Al-Arian be released from detention and allowed to leave the country with his family.
They are being asked to contact Gonzales and Rep. Conyers.
There is an op-ed on there about suing people who speak out against Islam for defamation. Under countering Islamophobia.

I'm sorry, but that is just not correct. The name is not "Jehweh".
1. The word HalleluYah means praise you Yahweh. Note that it says "Yah" and not "Yeh"
2. The letter J did not exist in any language until around 500 years ago, therefore the name cannot be "Jehovah".

Many Hebrew names beginning with JE or end with an IAH are shortened forms of this name. There is more the vowel sounds ect. just responding to this so far. For now, I am no scholar so I am reading it from this book I have.
Which I lay my faith in! As I said no one has to accept it. Everyone has their beliefs. This man that wrote it though spend a life time on it! I called him The Man of God, he was so gracious! He loved everyone!
IEUE is my salvation, Ie for Jehweh, ishuo for salvation. Putting these two words together, we would say "Jesus". Joshua is the word in Hebrew.
