COLUMBUS, Ohio — A federal grand jury indicted a U.S. citizen on charges of joining al-Qaida and conspiring to bomb European tourist resorts and U.S. government facilities and military bases overseas.Christopher Paul, 43, of Columbus, trained with al-Qaida in the early 1990s, the indictment issued Wednesday says. The indictment says he told al-Qaida members in Pakistan and Afghanistan that he was dedicated to committing violent jihad.
Paul is charged with providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide support to terrorists and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction....
The indictment says Paul traveled to Germany about April 1999 to train co-conspirators to use explosives to attack European and U.S. targets, including government buildings and vacation spots frequented by American tourists....
Paul was born Paul Kenyatta Laws. He legally changed his name to Abdulmalek Kenyatta in 1989, then to Christopher Paul in 1994, according to the indictment.

So, let me see if I've got this... If you are born and raised in the United States, you will get indicted by a grand jury, but if you are a foreign terrorist, you can hang out in the United States and commit all sorts of criminal activity, without being apprehended...

What is more interesting is all of these Muslims have so many name changes. It is not about aliases or security, but about their being so miserable that they are running from themselves.
Zawahiri and bin Laden have pile of other names and titles too.
American history is always in hard times full of people like this. In the past after the Civil War the KKK filled the void of sheets and violent anger directed toward others.
The 60's saw the Black Panthers and other yuppie hippie rich kid anarchists intent on violence. Charlie Manson being the epitome.
Currently, Islam is sponge for these self loathing, low self esteem recruits.
Paul though was more typical of the group as they are cowards in expecting others to die, but get a power rush playing with explosives.

Agreed. When one converts to Islam the changing of one's name is expected. Changing back to a more traditional Christian name, while not reverting back from Islam, should be a giant red flag. Obviously, as a good candidate for jihad, and with his natural non-arabic appearance, he was instructed to do this.

One more addition to the ranks of Suleiman al Faris, Richard Reid, John Allen Mohammed, Jose Padilla, David Hicks, et al. One more reason why anyone who converts to Islam should instantly be put under surveillance, just as one who joins al Qaeda.

They were seen bribing German POLOticians ON CAMERA, but since the DA's office is linked to whatever partiews happen to be in power.. nothing will be investigated. Also how come these Amdis got the land to build on at 10% of its value??

A friend of Paul's, Hisham Jenhawi, 32, said he found the charges hard to believe.
"I don't think it's even close to his personality to act upon something like that," he said at the courthouse. "He's a very kind person. You would meet him on the street and he would want to hug you with the heart that he has."
