Yes you are right I wasnt around on Friday. It is the muslim holiday of the week. As for saturday, I can assure you I wasnt celebrating sabbath. The sabbath only applied to the children of Israel during Musa's(pbuh) time when the Israelis were cearly ORDERED NOT TO FISH!!! It makes me angry that they chose to disobey Allah and try to be clever with the Lord of the universe by leaving thier fishing nets over on friday before sun-set and picking up the net full of fish on sunday morning.....No wonder Allah said to some of them 'turn into pigs and apes'

What about when someone mutilates someone's body parts in the name of Islam? You don't think that is an attack on the beauty you see in Islam?

If you're against mutilation, then this woman's suggestion that pro-mutilation arguments are a misinterpretation of Islam should be falling on sympathetic ears with you. I don't see why you're OK with her being beaten unconscious by a group of men under any circumstances, but most particularly in the name of Islam.

but of course, he is not kidding.
like everyone else here, i find Abdullah's comments ugly and brutal, though i suppose they have some benefit in reminding us of the nature of our enemy.
they also remind us of the meaninglessness of debate when words such as truth, beauty, peace, love, or tolerance have no shared meeting.
in her oppositon to FGM, Kadra is attacking what is ugly about Islam, not what is beautiful about it.
as Kasia says above, any Muslims who are truely against FGM should be supporting Kadra and the other brave women who are fighting this brutal tradition.
