Because I had to make my way out here to Idaho today in the Maxwell, I had to pass up (with immense regret) an invitation to be on the Laura Ingraham show along with Imam Fouad ElBayly of Johnstown, PA, who has said that Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be killed.
Now Bryan Preston of Hot Air reports that ElBayly didn't appear on the show either. He backed out at the last minute.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'd be happy to discuss matters with him anywhere, whenever my schedule permits. And so would our friend D. C. Watson, who sends in this invitation of his own to the illustrious imam:
After reading the comments made by the Islamic Center of Johnstown’s very own Fouad ElBayly regarding Ayaan Hirsi Ali, I took some time, and attempted to reach him by phone. After all, it’s not every day that I get a chance to speak with a “leader” in the Muslim community who publicly states that someone living in the United States should be killed for simply sharing information about the Islamic belief system with the American public.Yesterday evening, I attempted to reach the Islamic Center of Johnstown, at 814-467-0640. An answering machine picked up, advising that no one was available to come to the phone, and that anyone wanting more information could call 814-443-2694. So I hung up and dialed that number. The phone rang, and a man answered. The voice sounded quite familiar, like the one on the answering machine at the Islamic Center.
The call was certainly brief and disappointing, but was certainly not surprising. It went something like this:
Male answering the phone: “Hello.”
D.C. Watson: "Hello, may I speak with Fouad ElBayly."
Male: “Who is this?”
Watson: “This is D.C. Watson.”
Male: “What do you want?”
Watson: “I want to speak with Imam Fouad ElBayly, is that you?”
Male: "Why are you calling?"
Watson: "I'm calling to speak with Mr. ElBayly, is this he?"
Male: “No, you have the wrong number.”
Then he hung up on me.
Today I again tried to reach ElBayly at the Islamic Center, but again received an answering machine. Then I called the alternate number again. This time, an answering machine picked up which said, “You’ve reached the ElBaylys.” I guess I had the right number, but I had perhaps misjudged ElBayly's courage.
It appears that this “holy man” who has stirred up trouble with his radical comments has decided to pass up his opportunity to have “mutual understanding” and “dialogue” with yours truly.
Tough talk is cheap. Mr. ElBayly, you have become another in a growing list of Islamic Imams in the United States who have made militant and fanatical public statements -- and really, you should be upstanding enough to answer for that.
If you refuse, you reinforce the perception that Ayaan Hirsi Ali's statements must be accurate. In fact, you tried to shut her lecture down, not because she is defaming anything, but because you don't want the public to hear the truth.
Here’s another opportunity for you.
Since you refused to acknowledge to me that it was you I was speaking to on the phone last night, telling me I had the wrong number and then hanging up the phone, perhaps you and I can go a couple of rounds in a debate, either live and in color, or online.
Please contact the director of this site if you are ready and willing to stand and defend your words. Otherwise, you, like so many of your fellow Imams, have proven the validity of some of the points being made about Islam here and around the world.

Instead of trying to contact him, why doesn't somebody inform Law Enforcement in PA and ask that he be arrested? Why the charade?

Perhaps, Mr. Watson, you should know a little more about the illustrious Imam ElBayly. Here in the community in which they live, he is referred to as "Fraud" ElBayly, since he built the "Peace Center" while being on disabily income from the State of PA. It has been so many years since he was actually at work at the State Prison, that the newer guards have not even heard of him! Didn't stop him from pulling down taxpayer dollars to do his "work."
You might want to ask him about his marital indescretions over the years also, while you are about it. He picked out a Somerset girl for marriage and entry purposes. She is now also caught in the trap of Islam.

Why not ask for information about Islamic teaching as you are interested in learning from the Imam his interpretation of the Koran.
It is the truth and for your studies you could request to record it for lessons in comparing the English verses.
They are not bright enough to debate and know they can not allow their real thoughts be revealed to outsiders.
All this is doing is making him go gopher and preach his hate to dolts underground to show up later at places like Virginia Tech.

Why oh why does anyone need to discuss Islam with it`s indoctrinated zombies any longer ?
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence can see it
for what it is...and Muslims do not try to hide it either !
Why would you want to share the air in the same room as them , there must be 21,000,000 better things to do !

Attack! Attack!
Do not give this man one inch. Make him an example. These folks only understand power and power in this country is using your free speech to hammer him without mercy. Everyday call, protest, anyone and everyone who can do something about this man including the man himself. Be sure to follow the laws of Pennslyvania (or your own state) and know your laws well because these folks want them replaced with their own laws.
It is time people confront these folks because the normal media has abdicated there position as watchdogs and have instead become shills. They can no longer be trusted to do what they are paid to do.
The stakes are too high. A Islamic leader has called for the death of someone on our soil. This is not the first time in America after all somebody wanted Mr. Spencer's brain removed if I recall nor in the world. This is however first blantent action from a Islamic leader within the US. Stating very clearly his wish for a death of an anti-jihadist and how it would be justified. He is wishing for the faithful to do something about her which is we all know a "hint hint". Van Gogh in Holland was called out in the same way before he was wacked. We in America must not let this man bully us.
This is like the abolitionist movement. I keep saying that because the same denial that was evident in the 1830s-1840s is in the air today. Everybody wants to go through the normal channels which don't work anymore or be polite because of kindness or fear. Enough!
This will be an issue of national survival sooner then we think. Once the door is kept open it will be open forever...

I'd really like to hear the take on this from anyone knowledgeable in PA law: Can he really get out of some charge like incitement to violence or uttering threats (I'm sure there must be some such crimes on the books in PA) just by saying that he only urged she be killed in a different country? Do I get to do that, too? "Mr. X should definitely be killed, and if I had my way he definitely would be killed, but, er, it would happen on the Isle of Malta." Does that let me legally off the hook for inciting violence against Mr. X?
What say you, lawyers?

Hey,
It's really easy to find the District Attorney in Jamestown, PA. I wrote him an email. I hope every on gets inspired and starts making waves against this kind of Coward.
Why is it that we have a situation where two freedoms are respected? Free spreech and Freedom of Religion. Yet, Sharia condemns this freedom becuase it allows the taking of a life within a separate system of law, seeminly above the two mentioned principles.
This is what is an abomination to our belief system. There is no compunction in a Radical Interpretation of Islamic Law to take a life due to a person speaking their mind. Yet, most in this country defend this Imam's right to free speech. This is an affront, throwing mud in your face, showing no higher sensitivity to life and consciousness. His statement does not add to the public good, does not make our society or our culture richer or stronger.
For what its worth.

From the Pittsburgh Tribune Review
Free speech
Tuesday, April 24, 2007
Kudos to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for not acquiescing to the irrational protests of imam Fouad ElBayly and other Muslims in the community regarding the recent appearance and speech at the university of author Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch feminist, Somali refugee and outspoken critic of radical Islam ("Furor over author Ayaan Hirsi Ali's visit stirs debate on religious freedom," April 22 and PghTrib.com).
Having read Hirsi Ali's book, "Infidel," my previous beliefs and concerns about the Islam religion have only been validated.
This is the only major religion in the world that would kill those who choose to leave the religion. ElBayly of the Islamic Center of Johnstown states that "She (Hirsi Ali) has been identified as one who has defamed the faith. If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death."
Interestingly, Hirsi Ali did not "choose" to come into the faith -- she was born into it! Millions in the world are born into Islam and, by ElBayly's decree, could never leave the religion without facing death.

I would encourage every reader to read "Infidel" -- it gives a realistic and chilling description of this supposed "religion of peace."

Good work DC...dont give these infuriates any wiggle room at all. A figure four leglock will temporarily, shut his mouth, but to alter his thinking, a good elbow drop from the top rope, may accomplish the task...or, just prop him up in the corner, and give him the speech on how to be a man...
He really needs that because Allah never told him what manhood really means...
I like the Laura Ingraham show. I too was waiting for Elbayly to appear...I can understand why he did not want to go on the show...he might have to tell the truth, that the ROP, demands the death of any who question or disagree. Apostates must die...unless they have some money, then they can negotiate...

You have to excuse me, when moments are serious, I still tend to laugh! Which I did, this phone conversation! The deception and lies they do and say! How do these people get in America? Just is baffling? The experiences I have had, short and sweet! I have gotten gas at the same place for years. Now muslims. Figured ah, don't be prejudice. They are hard to have them to look at you in the eye or smile. I find suspicious! As I leave all these very poor mexicans pour in from behind.

Thanks to the post yesterday regarding this subject which supplied Pennsylvania Senators phone #s. I happened to call both Senators offices today. I live in Pittsburgh, about 2 hours drive from Johnstown and expressed my concern about the imams comment and the article in the paper and asked if the Senator was aware of Mr ElBayly's opinions. Senator Spector's office was very attentive to my concerns and promised to look into the matter and asked for info about the date of the article in the paper. I'm not suprised to report though that our new Democratic Senator, Mr Casey's office, didnt really seem to care much about my concerns. They silently listened, then told me I could post a message on they're message board which they would review later and get back to me, but that they were backed up a few weeks. I posted the message with the link to the story but I am not very optimistic about hearing back from them. I also spoke to the reporter who wrote the article, her phone # was posted at the end. She was also very attentive and said that the imam had told her those were not his words but the words of islam. He does agree with islam but once again he was just stating islams position of those who leave the faith. Sounds to me like a case of if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it might just be a duck. She also told me he had lived in the USA for many years and didnt think he was capable of any violence like that. I guess just inciting murder is OK though.

Poor Knight of Christ:
Thanks for calling. Great that Senator Specter's office listened like that. And even though Senator Casey's office seemed unresponsive, don't let that fool you. Enough calls will compel them to reassess, and your calls were a start on that road. Great!
at April 25, 2007 12:42 AM
To Pennsylvanians:
If just one of you calls a senator or representative, that call is calculated by politicians to represent the opinion of another 1000 people who didn't have time to call.
Therefore, below in this comment are phone numbers and websites to call your senators and reps and tell them that the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review of April 22 reported that Imam Fouad ElBayly, president of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Islamic Center,
identified Ayaan Hirsi Ali "as one who has defamed the faith" of Islam..."and when you decide to defame [Islam] deliberately, the sentence is death," said Imam Fouad Bayley.
Politely tell your senators and reps that you want Imam Fouad ElBayly prosecuted and put in jail for as long as possible and fined as heavily as possible for making that death threat, and that you will watch what politicians do about the Imam and his death threat, and you will vote for the politician who takes the strongest punitive legal action againt the imam.
Here are the phone numbers of the Pennsylvania senators:
Senator Arlen Specter (R)
Ph (202) 224-4254 / Fx (202) 228-1229
Senator Robert P. Casey (D)
Ph 202-224-6324 / Fx 202-228-0604
Here's a web page with all the phone numbers of Pennsylvania representatives:
Penn Reps' Phone numbers
If you aren't sure who your representatives are or their numbers, go here:
Who is My Penn Rep?
Don't let this murder-inciting killer-imam get away with it.

Abe Lincoln,
Yeah you're right. Ahmadinutjob is unreasonable and so is Bush. Bush may not be Hitler incarnate like so many moonbats will say, but he's so bloody naive (not to mention stubborn as a mule) it's not funny.
Poor Knight,
Looks like that reporter was fooled by ElBayly. I bet she let her guard down because this ElBayly fellow sounded like the sweet voice of reason when he said Ayaan Hirsi Ali must die. If only she knew that the Qu'ran pretty much gives Muslims the permission to enforce God's (or Allah's) law on earth. Mohammed Bouyeri did when he killed Theo Van Gogh (and he wanted to kill Hirsi Ali too). Every terrorist who blows himself up does the same. If only that reporter were not so ignorant. I hope you used that phone call to enlighten her.

Another message to Pennsylvanians:
Phone number of the office of
Pennsylvania Attorney General, Tom Corbett: 717-787-3391
Tell the office that the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review of April 22 reported that Imam Fouad ElBayly, president of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Islamic Center, said the author Ayaan Hirsi Ali, should be killed for having defamed Islam...
Politely tell your senators and reps that you want Imam Fouad ElBayly prosecuted for inciting to murder.
Even if the attorney general will not do exactly what you ask, an intelligent phone call to his office will have significant ripple effects. Go for it.

DC stated:
"Mr. ElBayly, you have become another in a growing list of Islamic Imams in the United States who have made militant and fanatical public statements..."
Allow me to offer some sincere, constructive criticism:
Fouad ElBayly stated that Ms. Ali, as an apostate, should be killed. We know where that comes from:
'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.' Bukhari Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57
That statement, whether most Muslims have ever read it themselves or not, is part and parcel of Islam. Despite that, the American public has been told that the ElBayly's of the world are fanatics and extremists who are perverting a 'peaceful' religion.
Doesn't the assertion that ElBalyly has made 'fanatical public statements' perpetuate that?
at April 25, 2007 7:32 AM
Life is a religion. These fanatics kill their own. They have no barriers none. We cannot go on "their land" but they can spread throughout the world and tell us how to live. How to think belief behave, and it all surrounds them! When they kill life they kill all mankind!

MZ...'thier lands' reminds me of the song line...'this land is your land this land is my land', nope thats wrong...this land (the Earth) belongs to Allah cause he created it for the exclusive use of muslims. No non muslims need apply. It all belongs to them...Allah has decreed it.
'Life', as we know, has a negative image in Islam, they all prefer death, at least in theory. If they really prefer death, the US has lots of freeways to play on. These people are so upside down, inverted, convoluted and stupid,( sometimes called 'anal retention')it's amazing they can negotiate for food shelter and clothing. Even thier god Allah cant do anything on his own, he needs help with everything. Allah is fickled, due to predestination, Allah has caused the death of many muslims...why they worship the god of thier own destruction is the sixty four dollar question.
Stuck on stupid and an over-riding case of Allahphrenia is the only sensible answer.
There are 72 bibical verses that use the word,'living'...including the idea that God is the 'living' God. Allah cant be the 'living God' because he is an advocate of death. His submitters only confirm that by emulating Allahs death ideology. 'Allahu Akbar' is the cry of the dead man. To sum it up, muslims who worship the god of death are already dead, they just don't have enough sense to lay down...
at April 25, 2007 11:47 AM
Bravo DC, it's important that Muslims be put on notice that they are being watched and that they could be confronted when they engage in activities that violate our laws.I'm also not surprised that ElBaly (who called for a woman's death) was too cowardly to speak to you on the phone.

I see where the second comment is from a person from Somerset. I too am originally from there and have been following this dude ever since he spoke to the general population of Somerset on October 16, 2001, and then to students at the high school on October 20, 2001. He is the epitome of lies and misinformation. These are not the only times hes has spoken so ourageously. He was intervied by a Somerset Daily American writer in 2005 at the occasion of the open house at the Islamic center. She wrote a good article, but it was so obvious that he was giving her a "snow Job." I am just glad to see that he jumped out of the small pond and into the big pond where he is now out of his league of acceptable Islamic drivel.
