BAGHDAD - Criminals in Baghdad are stealing corpses from the scenes of car bombings and killings in order to extract ransoms from grieving relatives.In a macabre offshoot of the capital's kidnapping epidemic, the gangs pose as medics collecting bodies to be taken back to the city's overflowing morgues.
Instead, they take the corpses to secret places and demand payments of up to $5,000 to release each body to relatives for burial. Because Muslim custom dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible after death, many families simply pay up, rather than involve the police.
"We have seen 40 families to whom this has happened, where people said that they have had to pay money to receive bodies," said Dr. Mohammed al-Nasrawi, an official at the Baghdad city morgue.

So all the reports would tell us how badly the average Iraqi is doing - no electricity, starving etc. Where do they get 5 grand?

This is as pathetic as when the same type mentalities claimed to have held a soldier hostage... only to turn out to be a GIJOE doll named "roadblock" using a pathetically staged low-res pic.
Only thing is, this is even more pathetic...and cold, cruel & greedy as it gets.
It wouldn't surprise me to find out they're also terrorists trying to supplement loot denied them by frozen assets.

You detractors of the Islam must understand that corpse-ransoming is not part of the Sacred Sunnah. After Mohammed and his organized crime gang did a killing spree, they simply left the stiffs sprawled on the sand to rot in the blazing Arabian sun.

these guys probably received a payment from someone else to kill the people (can you say Iran?), after killing the people , they steal the bodies and demand ransom (payments of up to $5000.00?)...just great...then they get another payment when they blow up the funeral procession....and the cycle continues....on and on ...
...is this how a Muslim economy is supposed to work?....

OK, moderate Muslims. Time to step up. You know this is heinous. These outrages are being perpetrated against other Muslims, not invaders or Crusaders or any kuffar.
I'm thinking even Allah is holding his nose at this idea.

....there are plenty of shops and businesses in Iraq, the problem is that the Muslim terrorists keep blowing them up, killing whomever is inside. The Muslims blow up newspaper offices, auto repair shops, grocery stores, music shops, open air markets, jewelry stores, furniture stores, ice cream stores, clothing stores, machine shops, and many others...the Iraqi people could do well, except for the Muslim terrorists...who after killing the people, will wait for the funeral and then blow the funeral procession up...then kidnap the bodies for ransom..then kill whomever shows up ....
...it looks like the only paying job in Iraq is that of the Muslim terrorist, who is nothing more than a paid mercenary, paid by crazed bearded finger pointing Islamic clerics, who in turn are paid by Muslim controlled governments...
....governments for the people, no doubt....

Naseem posts here instead of running for political office where he would get zero votes and beat up by Islamists.
As for the ransom of the dead, somehow the sight of people carrying away dead people like Weekend at Bernies makes one wonder just how do the kidnappers know to be at the bombing EXCEPT THEY ARE THE BOMBERS.

Best one I ever used was a Wrist Rocket. Not sure if these are still around, but you can definitely take out a pigeon under your roof in ONE shot. The aim on those things is terrific.

Now Dr Frankenstien might go for that. He was trying to build the 'perfect man' out of imperfect parts. He failed, but thats because he did not know about Islam. Long ago Allah made the 'perfect man, Mohammad, out of a number of defective parts.
He forgot to fix most of them,. Thats why the 'perfect man' is not so 'perfect' afterall.

man. He is rich, sort of good looking, he has power and has spread his own relighian Trumpism. The religion of Trump. And if you notice, he never married a six year old, he never raided a caravan or village, he has no need to steal money, but he is a little weak about slave girls. But they are just like us. This happens all the time here too. Not a day goes by when I read about some dead body in my town being held for ransom by Christian terrorists (led by that Christian terrorist leader, Donald Trump). Yep. All societies are the same, they all have the same values.
