"If Hazrat (Prophet) Mohammad is not declared the superman of the world by May 10, all non-governmental organizations will be blown up"

Expect the UN to get right on that. After all, it will ensure world peace. "Bangladesh railway blasts signed 'al Qaeda,'" from Reuters, with thanks to Doctor Bulldog:

DHAKA, Bangladesh (Reuters) -- Three simultaneous bomb blasts rocked separate railway terminals in Bangladesh on Tuesday, with militant slogans claiming to be from al Qaeda found at two of the sites.

One man was hurt in the blasts, which triggered panic among commuters, who evacuated railway terminals.

Thin metal sheets scribbled with slogans were found at the bomb sites in Dhaka's Kamalapur and Sylhet terminals. The third blast was in the railway terminal of the southeastern city of Chittagong.

"... If Hazrat (Prophet) Mohammad is not declared the superman of the world by May 10, all non-governmental organizations will be blown up," the slogans on the metal sheets read in the Bengali language. They were signed "the al Qaeda network" in English.

"The bombs were kept in cotton sacks, along with the metal sheets. They exploded before anyone detected them," said police Inspector Abu Zafar Alam at Kamalapur, Bangladesh's biggest railway terminal.

"We are puzzled over the motives (of those who planted the bombs). But they dared to take the risk," said another police officer.

You're puzzled over their motives, officer? Drop me a note at director[at]jihadwatch.org and I'll fill you in. No, no charge a-tall.

Superman of the world, huh? Does that make pork his kryptonite?

Posted by: staff_of_magius [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 12:22 PM

Superman? They believe in Superman? Instead of Allah? Off with their heads.

Targeting NGOs? Why - doesn't DC Comics have any offices in Sylhet?

I didn't know that any word for 'superman' existed in Bengali. Usually, when Superman is mentioned, it goes untranslated.

Infidel Pride -- this is off topic, but I've been writing Americaningermany, and this morning she asked me if there was some way of contacting you. Do you have an e-mail address? If you don't want to post it here then I would completely understand. Thanks.

Batman is way cooler.

This sounds like a job for superman! They want superman, well, they're about to get him in a red/white/blue leotard.

So first muslims stole parts of other religions for their faith and now it is American comic book super heroes. Oh The Humanity!

Let me guess the Justice League is now the Arab League. Dear lord...

They really should have chosen Spiderman.

He's one of "The Avengers". Mo could have become captain of the team.

Looks like this Hazrat leads to Hazmat. Time to dig out the kryptonite.

Thanks for the hat tip.

I've already tracked down that Kryptonite.

"all non-governmental organizations will be blown up,"

...you mean like: barber shops, meat markets, hospitals, churches, mosques, ice cream vendor bicycles, charity group offices, real estate offices, cricket team practice facilities, furniture stores, railroad offices and facilities, oil refineries and offices, foreign aid offices when food and medical supplies donated by the western world are distributed and other such non-governmental organizations?...

....as usual the Muslims will attack those who are unarmed...

Posted by: exsgtbrown [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 12:46 PM

Tazmanian Devil is a more fitting cartoon character as their mascot -- I believe he's available.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 12:46 PM

Well, I get these invitations to Nigeria to collect millions of dollars, which the person who last had them only wanted to bequeath to a fellow Muslim (wonder what gave them the idea that I was one?), so what the heck... No one will get my real identity from this one:

unixfidel[at]yahoo.com

Spam, death threats and all are welcome. Incidentally, anybody up for a vacation to Nigeria? Followed by Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan?

Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 12:55 PM

Ooohh.. Does he get a big "M" on his spandex too??!!??

So Al Qeada's new slogan is now "all your superheros are now belong to us"?

George W. Bush, 01MAY07: "CENTCOM has liberated millions."

Yes, Mr. President, you have. Congratulations.

Speaking of Nigerian spam scam, check out 419eater.com for some rather hilariously amazing responses to them. You might have to set aside an afternoon to go through it, but if you consider laughter the best medicine, it will be well worth it.

Is it just me? It seems jihad is accellerating all around the globe at a phenominal pace?

Or is it just that we have more readily available news these days?

Posted by: sounder [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 1:34 PM

Why am I laughing at this story? We are losing to the idiots at Al Qaeda, who think cucumbers and tomatoes are different gender?! And will kill people if they don't declare Mohammed Superman?! Maybe I should try out primal therapy.

Infidel Pride,

Holy crap is that your real email address? Eh, not a good idea to post it on this board. You won't just get spam. I'm sure cyber jihadis have ways of tracing your identity through your email address. You know they keep an eye on Jihad Watch.

Posted by: wrathofasma [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 1:50 PM

wrath

Thanks for your concern, but my real identity wouldn't be known from scanning that address - one would still get Infidel Pride, and no home addresses or anything would be traceable.

Although I wouldn't mind if that post gets deleted, now that champ/AIG know what it is.

Is nice everyone is either laughing or taking a cheap rip at President Bush without examining this beyond Islam.

First you have Bengals who speak Bangla writing in English.
That message is not for Bangladesh, but for a worldwide aimed at Anglo American audience. It was written in Bengla to get the locals attention so Reuters would parrot it at the west.

Second, 3 bomb blasts at railway terminals happening on time notes a sophistication in method, ability and purpose.

Third, the metal is classic operational strategy of on location calling cards of certain old school intelligence operatives.
Notice no phone calls, no tapes and no notes. Metal plates though which take time to manufacture and do not trace.

Fourth, superman is a western phraseology transfer.

Conclusion children:

Best analysis states this is of a British colonial immigrant in origin who has more training than al Qaeda via a British university who has rejected England and in desperation to join the fray has bombed his sympathetic homeland.
He is a loner, has criminal connections and wants to be bin Laden of Bengal.

The police officer is rightly perplexed as it made no sense logically as Bangladesh is 83% Islam and quite sedate for 3rd world nations.....makes no sense unless one views it as a "Cho incident" which I predicted would be another form of growing personal Jihad from college kids gone postal as America and President Bush keep getting blamed as demented loosers. Sick minds read all of this stuff even on this site and now instead of joining the Americans they are joing the "winning" Muslims.

That is why this site needs to police the attacks on President Bush and America as much as it does on Muslims, because unknown to the staff of this site it is playing a role in making jihad, the very thing it states it is trying to stop.

That is the reality and responsibility of this bomber reads English not Arabic. What English speaking people are saying set him off.

Posted by: Lame Cherry [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 4:01 PM

Superman? Super-Mo? But wait, there's no P in Arabic (they turn it into B--there's a lot of jokes in Israel about that). Then that would be Sooberman. Why not just make it Übermensch as in the original German (with all that's around it, including the complementary concept of Untermensch, a.k.a. non-Muslim) and be done with it?

Posted by: ZionistYoungster [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 4:47 PM

There you go, Zionistyoungster.

As much as I'd like a Mohammed all for Truth, Justice and the American Way, I'm thinking these guys are channeling Friedrich Nietzsche, not Clark Kent.

Posted by: freedomschool [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 4:59 PM

Al Qaeda invoking the name of a cartoon character to promote goals of jihad?

I thought they abhorred the Danish cartoons depicting Mo and explosive devices?

A young jihadi, no doubt.

Lame Cherry, you give our words too much power. Blaming victims for the violent acts of intolerant, cruel and sadistic criminals justifies such acts. This is what Cho did; he blamed his victims for provoking his wrath.

If a certain religion does not want to appear intolerant, then it would follow that its adherents should refrain from invoking their religious laws, dogma or god (who is not YAHWEH)to justify the unjustifiable.

Posted by: BurkasforHitlery [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 5:32 PM

Amended: Blaming victims for the violent acts of intolerant, cruel and sadistic criminals justifies such acts?

Emphasis on the question mark.

Posted by: BurkasforHitlery [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 5:35 PM

Lame Cherry,

We laugh because there's nothing else we can do. We know full well the signature of al Qaeda (the many near-simultaneous blasts), but so what? The people of Bangladesh (and India, due to its proximity) are going to have to deal with this threat.

We laugh because pointing out just how silly your enemy is being might get through to others. We're watching what goes on but being perpetually long in the face won't help anyone.

To quote a wise Vulcan:

"Thinking about things you cannot control only wastes energy and creates its own enemy."

Marisol beat me to the freakin' Batman reference. Oh well.

Allah is the Incredible Hulk (who, when enraged, which is often, goes around smashing things and creating mayhem and destruction). Muhammad is Lex Luthor (a lifelong professional psychopathic criminal).

Posted by: special_guest [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 6:48 PM

I think these idiots mean the Hitlerian "Superman" or Ubermensch (the absurd Nazi distortion of the liberating "Overman" -an idea by the ultimate anti-Nazi, Friedrich Nietzsche, who mocked his own sister as "an anti-Semitic goose") and definitely not the American "Superman" (Seigel and Shuster's comic book creation, they being two nice Jewish boys).

("Superman" was a poor English translation of "Ubermensch", better put as "Overman", or the "Beyond-Man" or the "Surpassing-Man". It has nothing to do with a man with super powers, but denotes the next step in human development, passing beyond our current level of frailty and superstition and short-sightedness to a more fully-human creature.)

Posted by: profitsbeard [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 7:01 PM

Well said, profitsbeard.Sadly, the media won't expand on that idea.

Posted by: anonamustafa [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 1, 2007 7:15 PM

It's interesting that the Sylhet terminal in Dhaka was one of the targets, in that most of the Bangladeshi community in the UK are Sylhetis, speaking their own particular dialect of Bengali. The whole lot of them seem to go back and forward between the UK and Bangladesh like yoyos, so it would make some sense for jihadists wishing to attack the west to concentrate their efforts on recruitment in that area. Conversely the Wahhabisation of the 'Londoni' may be having some influence back home.

Muslims are such comedians. Evil doesn't need to manufacturer impossible hurdles like these to do what it does best.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 1:03 AM

Superman!? How about Fartman instead? PBUH will need Howard Stern's permission. lol!

Posted by: Bingo [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 4:28 AM

EliasAlucard,

So, old Mo could actually fly?

Yes, but not by himself ("They need machines to fly!"); he had to use Pegasus (or was that Chimera?) in order to do it. (The nocturnal journey to Al Aksa, of which no one is sure if it was a dream or a literal occurrence. Inability to discern between fantasy and reality says something about Islam, no?)

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!

Superman, huh! Now why would good little Muzzies
be taking ideas & comic book heroes from Decadent,Infidel West? Does this mean they read comic books under the covers with a torch instead
of praying in the direction of Mecca...Be warned
o' deviant Muslims-Allah sees everything-and one of his bogey men will come and chop off your heads as punishment for rebellion against Islam.

Posted by: Morgane [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 6:23 AM

Allafanculo:

You can't have Allah as Batman and Muhammad as his Robin! Why, it would raise pandaemonium in the Islamic street--or more of it than there is already? Why, don't you know that Robin is really a Jewish girl? after all, she had a Bat-mitzvah! (I know, two-thirds of a pun. PU). Surely you must be an agent of international Zionism!
