Ahmadinejad under fire for embracing his old teacher

Ahmadinejadkiss.jpg
Indecency

The Thug-In-Chief is proving to be quite the libertine. First there was the dance in Doha, and now this. Ahmadinejad better be careful, or Dinesh D'Souza will accuse him of causing jihad attacks with this sort of thing.

From AFP, with thanks to all who sent this in:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been accused of indecency after he publicly embraced and kissed on the hand an elderly woman who used to be his schoolteacher.

At a ceremony on Tuesday ahead of Iranian teachers' day, Mr Ahmadinejad was photographed and filmed by state media stooping to kiss the woman's hand and then clasping her arms in an embrace.

The ultra-conservative Hezbollah newspaper, which is not related to the group in Lebanon of the same name, criticised him on the front page.

"The Muslim Iranian people have no recollection of such acts contrary to sharia law during Islamic rule [since the 1979 revolution]," it said.

"This type of indecency progressively has grave consequences, like violating religious and sacred values."

The elderly woman, who was not named, wore thick gloves along with a headscarf and long black coat, meaning that Mr Ahmadinejad avoided any skin contact.

Whew. Then at least he wasn't contaminated. Still, eyebrows were raised:

But his action raised eyebrows because according to sharia law, it is forbidden for a man to have any physical contact with a woman to whom he is not related.

". . . according to sharia law, it is forbidden for a man to have any physical contact with a woman to whom he is not related."

Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to rape a non-relative, but rape of a relative is permitted. Allah knows best.

What hypocrisy from a nation that worships it's 'revolutionary founder', Ayatollah Khomeini, who advocated bestiality with animals and the lowering of a girl’s legal martial age limit to 9 years old!!

Posted by: descendantofacrusader [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 9:29 AM

The guy shows he still has a teeny spark of warmth in his heart - reverencing his dear old teacher - probably the most decent thing he's done since 1978...and he gets pilloried for that.

Sick, sad Iran.

..It is sad that a woman has to dress as if she had some terrible contagious disease, cannot go out in public, cannot display any normal human responses, nor be able to be honored...

....and Ahmadinejad will soon be past history if Ayatollah Khemeini has anything to say about it...

Mahmoud's explanation came out that he was only following the "prophet"'s example and was just trying to steal her bracelet.

You live by Sharia, you die by Sharia.

This type of indecency progressively has grave consequences.

610 * 624 * 632 * 1453 * 1526 *1683 * 1848 * 1938 * 1948 * 1968 * 1996 * 2001 * 2005

Given the conservatism of the editors who run this newspaper, the words grave consequences resonates, for me at least.

But, on the dark side, this is the first time Prez Mahmoud has been characterized as progressive.

It always starts with the baciamano, and ends with complete depravity, with Britney Spears or the Continental Baths. Arrest Ahmadinejad now, before it's too late. And put him on trial, to show that no Shari'a-breaking Muslim can be above the law. And if Ahmadinejad dares to tell the judges, in his own defense, that "I want to destroy every last man, woman and child in Israel" they -- is that hanging judge Khalkhali still alive? -- should stay true to their man Muhamamd, uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil, and dismiss Ahmadinejad's appeal by telling him that "yeah, that's what they all say." For, in truth, they do.

Posted by: Hugh [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 10:30 AM

Given that the Iranian judges enforce an Ayatollah K law whereby 9 yr old chicklettes are street legal, I axe you this:

Does the Persian Sharia put a limit on how old a Moslima may be before publicly groping her is a sin?

Live by Sharia, Die by Sharia.

Posted by: Foehammer [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 11:17 AM

Unfortunately, the AFP (and likewise the author of the article) are not too well informed of the Sharia laws. There is no such thing as "THE Sharia law.....". Absolutely correct that there have been such interpretations that discourage such contacts, however I know many Muslims who are very strict adherents to the religion who have no problem with it at all.

Also this is, interestingly enough, something that flies in the face of Spencer's arguments. He argues that Ahmadenijad is a crazy, "saber-rattling" Muslim who has loyalty only to hardline Islam and them Mullahs and is on a collision course with the West (especially Israel) and is about as radical and crazy as you can get. What about today? I thought Spencer said that the President was all for application of Sharia law. If so, how can he then be in violation of it? (There is a logic problem here...two choices emerge: 1. Spencer was wrong about Ahmadenijad being a crazy hardliner or 2. Sharia law isn't a fixed, monolithic idea and changes drastically depending on the individual Muslim and society).

Lastly, Spencer argues constantly that Islam presents itself as either "with us[Islam] or against us[non-Muslim]" (does that quote sound familiar without my additions? Never mind) and that there is no debate. What about this case? What about the multitude of Iranian papers who, when constantly bashing the President on his economic policy failures and leanings towards a more fundamentalist strain, support him in this case against the more hard-lined papers? What happens to the monolith when modern religious Muslim publications disagree with one another??? So, according to Spencer logic, Ahmadenijad has now stepped outside the boundaries of Islam and therefore should be killed...where are those calls (other than from Israel)?

Just doing some thinking...

Posted by: An American [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 11:38 AM

Maybe they should simply cut off his right hand and be done with it. Problem solved! Oh, and cut off his lips too. See, I'm starting to think like a Muslim. Removing body parts actually makes sense in Ahmad's situation.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 11:41 AM

AhMADinejad is a mad man, and from the sounds of it, so are you. AhMAD has threatened to "Wipe Israel off of the map", and he's threatened to destroy the US as well. He's made more threats on top of these ones, but this is a good place to start.

Maybe you should sit and think about THAT!

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 11:49 AM

@An American:

What makes you think that Ahmadinejad has to be inside or outside Islam in order to merit assassination? The man has earned the right to death by a hail of bullets ten times over by now. The bodies of U.S. troops coming home from Iraq are proof enough of that, and while someone like you will no doubt "do some spinning" to try to paint a rosy picture to the contrary, the rest of us know that Iran's highest levels in government are behind a large portion of the ongoing debacle in the streets of Baghdad and beyond.

Obviously this was not Ahmadinejad's fault as Islam blames those sexy vixen 90 year old women being so enticing just forcing any red blooded Muslim to act out sexually.
Throw this old tease in prison, blindfold her, beat her and make her confess her sexual sins before allah.

(satire for those not bright enough to know it, but is actually what hundreds of young Iranian women are subjected to yearly by Ahmadinejad and Supreme Council thugs.)

He has radical views, as appropriate for his politics, yet at the same time, he is not above dancing the jig and letting his hair down. I love the photo of him kicking the soccer ball. Much more entertaining and colorful than the dry, staid mullahs, or the Ayatollah. He actually has a personality. We're going to miss him when he's gone.

Posted by: jihadwatcher [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 2, 2007 12:54 PM

1. Cooties!

2. Suggestion for new program on Iran PBS: What Not to Not Wear

3. I beg to differ with:

"The Muslim Iranian people have no recollection of such acts contrary to sharia law during Islamic rule [since the 1979 revolution],"

Witness this minor impropriety of Khomeini (scroll down to photo of him kissing a babe ... well, not *that* kind of babe, this is a young boy. Um, what's that you say? This is ok in Islam, but touching the hand of a woman is not? Oh, ok, forget it.)

4. Okay, then try this: Mutah (pleasure) marriage which is common in Iran, a bit of a cottage industry -- which they are working on exporting. For a handful of dates (gives a whole new meaning of "dating") you can purchase the services of a "temporary wife" (which makes it perfectly legal, although no paperwork is necessary) as young as 9 years old. The marriage can be for any period as short as an hour (I doubt Ah!mydinnerjacket could use the whole hour anyway).

Shi'ites are condemned by Sunni's for this practice. Instead they have a much better one, they call Misyar (traveller's) marriage which appears to serve the same purpose, but of course is much more proper (The main difference appears to be that, in Mutah, man and woman agree on a fixed duration before the "contract" whereas although Misyar is also only temporary, a prior agreement is not permitted -- the man is supposed to "surprise" the woman with a divorce. Clearly much more civilized ... /irony).

"Wealthy Kuwaiti and Saudi men sometimes enter into a Misyar marriage while on vacation, this allows them to have sexual relations with another woman without committing the sin of zina, they usually divorce the women once their holiday is over, although if this is understood by both parties this would constitute a fixed time period, effectively making such a marriage invalid in Sunni law, and more akin to the Shia Mut'ah marriage. They travel to poorer countries, such as Egypt or Syria, and meet middlemen who arrange a marriage for them. Some men arrange Misyar marriages online. These men pay the girl's family some money; families agree to the arrangement because of poverty, hope their girl will have fun, and visit places that she can only dream about. They also hope for gifts at the end of the marriage that the rich husband will give her. Sometimes the husband keeps the wife for his next vacation and sends her money in the interim period. Many wives hope to win the love of their husbands so that they may live with them permanently. Since the wife knows that she will most likely be divorced, most misyar wives do their best to prevent pregnancy."

In Iran , you will have to carry a portable folding table with you for those chance encounters with a woman...upon striking up a conversation, you must open up the folding table , place it between you and the person decked out in the lastest body encompassing burka (you guessing it is a woman). After establishing the proper distance , you can now talk...forget about getting any closer, the religious police are watching you anyway....after your intimate conversation, you can now fold up your table and proceed along the sidewalk, every vigilant for that chance encounter with a woman...

I think this man bears watching by the virtues police. This kind of lewed behavior didn't start overnight. This kind of thing starts in childhood. It is probable that he's been tounching non-relative females for a long time now. He might even be a serial toucher. No telling how many compromised females he's plowed through because of his unrestrained desire to shake hands with females.

Unfortunately for his elderly former teacher, her virtue has been compromised beyond repair. She'll be forever remembered as the Monica Lewinski of Iran. What a way to end a lifetime of virtue and chastity.

I posted a reply on LSU Reveille, but I didn't have an account when I left the reply. According to the website, it should be a few minutes before my comment is posted. What, he speaks farsee as well? Who knew (We are definitely not worthy, why does he hang around tarnishing his glowing aura?)?

This type of indecency
From the theocracy and theology which institutionalised prostitution (the muta'a marriage) and paedophilia, from the theocracy where you can't have a beer, but heroin addiction is endemic (Mo didn't mention it, so it must be ok).

I don't think the indecency started with Cheetah...
