"There is evidence that al-Qaeda has been looking for loopholes and weaknesses that can be exploited by volunteers in order to evade intelligence services in the West."
"British terrorists using Africa as secret staging post," by Jonathan Clayton and Michael Evans in the TimesOnline, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
Home-grown British terrorists have been flying to countries in Africa that do not require visas from London before transferring to Pakistan for training in al-Qaeda camps. The countries are believed to include Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascar, where visas are available on arrival, and South Africa, which requires no visa for a stay of fewer than 90 days.
There is evidence that al-Qaeda has been looking for loopholes and weaknesses that can be exploited by volunteers in order to evade intelligence services in the West.
Africa is fast becoming the continent preferred by British Pakistanis who want to reach Pakistan to enter the terrorist training camps without alerting the authorities. Countries in Africa that do not require a visa from London are seen as ideal staging-posts for terrorist recruits who do not want to risk flying directly to Pakistan.

If there weren't any Muslims to speak of in the West, would it matter if some Jihadists controlled Crapville, Crapcountry, Africa?

Acting as our important military ally in South Asia, let's just say that Pakistan's performance has been... nuanced.

And what are Westerners doing to combat Islamic holy warriors in Africa? Are we taking Islamism in Africa as seriosuly as we should be, as seriously as the mission impossible in Iraq? What are we doing to assist the victims of violent jihad, Black Sudanese, Biafrans, Tanzanians, Ethiopians, Ugandans, Kenyans, Coptics, Amazigh peoples, and even civilians at risk in South Africa, as they defend themselves from militant islam? Do we have foreign legions or elite military units stationed among these peoples, ready to intervene to provide them necessary protection from jihad? This should partcularly be asked among the French, who have foreign legionares ready in areas like Ivory Coast and Chad to protect their own interest, willing to commit obscene human rights violations in the process (case in point being the alleged incident a couple years back in ivory Coast where the French opened fire indiscriminately on civilians left and right). Would they be willing to show have as much interest in protecting aforementioned victims of jihad?
The answers to these inquiries will help reveal if we **get it** on fighting with jihadists.

There it is again - "British Pakistanis" - there is no such thing, they are either British or Pakistani.
Can someone tell me, if they have their Jihadists have we got any crusaders?

These guys have been doing this for almost 2 decades now - probably longer.
Not to dissuade anyone from writing articles like this to bring people's attention to the activities of muslims, but if you look at organizations like the GIA, just to name one, you will see the roots go back years! They say the GIA is broken up - but I doubt it - it is only under a different name and they have new goals of destruction to not only Algeria, but many other European countries.
