Another Fort Dix Jihad Update. "Terror suspects were 'bad shots,' says local marksman," from the Pocono Record:
Suspicious activity at a public shooting range in Monroe County led an official from the state game commission to tip authorities on what turned out to be an alleged terror plot to attack Fort Dix in New Jersey."(The men arrested Monday) allegedly used our rifle range in the Gouldsboro area to train in some tactics," said Tim Conway of the game commission in a phone interview at 12:20 p.m. today. "We did recognize a few things awhile back and reported that to the appropriate authorities."
Randy Swiden of Blakeslee, a regular at the shooting range near Gouldsboro, said he remembers three to five guys shooting AK-47s there last fall. Swiden was interviewed at the range this morning.
Swiden said he heard the guys speaking in what sounded like Russian to each other and in broken English with a Russian accent to others. The six suspects arrested are nationals of the former Yugoslavia....
Swiden, 59, said he remembers the guys were shooting with 20-round clips rather than the typical three-round clips. He described them as “bad shots.”
They were shooting at 50-yard targets, packs of paper plates and milk jugs, and were missing.
Between them they had three AK-47s, Swiden said.

From Michael Cutler, who regularly reports illegal immigration news.
Three of the plotters will illegal aliens, two were resident aliens.
Thanks US Government.
"I have attached copies of a story that appears on both the CBS News and ABC News web-sites. These articles detail the fact that six men have been arrested for terrorism-related charges emanating out of an alleged plot to enter a military base in New Jersey, Fort Dix, and kill as many of our soldiers as possible.
Inasmuch as this is a breaking story, little is known about this case, but I will provide my thoughts with the limited amount of information that is being made available.
First of all, it is essential to realize that all men were born overseas and that one man was described as a naturalized citizen. I do not know how long he has been a naturalized citizen. He may have entered the United States as a young child with his family or he may have recently acquired United States citizenship. I would certainly be interested in knowing if USCIS dropped the ball, or if they had no way of knowing. Similarly, two of the men have been described as being resident aliens. I am similarly concerned as to how and when they were given resident alien status. Finally, we know that 3 men are described as being illegal aliens. The obvious question is how did they enter the United States?
It is also important to realize that all six men were described as being roofers. They were apparently working in the United States. One of them also had a job as a pizza delivery man, he understood that this job would provide him with unfettered access to the military base and other venues where he could do surveillance, hiding in plain sight. This goes back to the issue I have been adamant about, when the President says that illegal alien do the work Americans won't do and therefore we need to allow aliens who want to work to do so, I have asked, what does a terrorist do days before an attack? The answer is, he goes to his job, in this case as roofers or a pizza delivery man!
A final thought- the President wants to make it far easier for refugees from Iraq to be admitted to the United States. I want to know, what is the President thinking? While I am certainly sympathetic to the plight of refugees, I do not think we should be shortcutting the screening process by which we admit such people to make certain that we do not turn this humanitarian effort into one that will endanger our security!
Once again, we have been given graphic evidence that we are at risk by not creating secure borders and a secure immigration system.
I will have more as the story evolves and we have more information...
Lead, follow or get out of the way!"

I would hope the mainstream media would refer to these guys as the Dumb Jihadists (I can picture the graphics and catchy music-- circus music, or the Benny Hill theme-- on cable news segments). But calling them "dumb" would harm their self-esteem, and the media outlets are all afraid to say "jihad."
A few more questions I hope law enforcement will be able to answer:
- Who were the Dumb Jihadists' friends? Did they attend a mosque?
- If they did, which one? Are we sure about the "moderate" bent of the place? Who's funding it and supplying it with literature?
- Recent travel? Email trail? More videos?

They don't have to shoot straight - all they have to do is be in a crowded area and just start shooting - someone will die, or be wounded.
Quite often, when I was in the military, people are clustered around - formations, inspections, marching, chow lines, around the barracks, running, etc. These freaks could have done a lot of damage.
There are still 4 rats that are loose.

Didn't we all kind of laugh under our breath at the stupid Arabs who tried to blow up the Twin Towers with a bomb in the parking garage in 1993?
I mean really, how could those fools expect a bomb to take down the mighty Twin Towers? They must be solid as granite.
Well, where theres a will there is a way and they found a way.
This ones a bit too close to home for me so it troubles me a great deal.

We may catch the idiots, but what if we don't catch the clever ones? Just a few clever groups which implement minimal security habits could actually wreak havoc on the United States.

Yet again, the media gets it wrong on firearms. They repeatedly proclaim that these men had "AK-47s." This is almost certainly untrue. Genuine, fully-automatic AK-47s are nearly impossible to find in America, and purchasing them legally takes a lot of time and several thousand dollars. Likely, these jokers had semi-automatic, civilian-market clones like a lot of people had, one of the most common of which is the WASR-10, a Romanian semi-automatic copy.

...failure does not stop terrorists...where are the twin towers now?....
only the death of the terrorists stops the terrorists...

So three of them couldn't shoot straight. What about the other seven? And what about the four who are still at large?
Is it racist to ask these questions?
I don't want these nuts showing up on the New York Subway.
The ONE way to make sure they never will is to DEPORT all moslems NOW and keep any new ones from coming in.
Now is that logical or what?

A report of them being "bad shots" that is several months old doesn't really speak to thier ability today.
Shooting is like golf or darts or any eye/hand co-ordination sport.A few select people will be naturals at it from the first time they try but most of us will have to practice to become proficiant.
These guys could have practiced anywhere and become crack shots during those months.

Saying these guys are from Yugoslavia nationals instead of Bosnian or Croatian, is like saying George Washington was a British National instead of American.
I have noticed that the MSM was hiping the 'Islamic' terror plot thwarted, and has now replaced the term with 'Jihad' terror plot thwarted.

Hey John Lee Pedimore -
Is your name the same as your daddy's and his daddy's before ?
Love it ! One of my favourite songs.
Those muslims better stay away from Copperhead Road.

....spraying bullets into a crowd requires little if any markmanship skills....If you ever watch any newsclips of terrorists fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq you will see their basic tactic is simply to keep shooting massive amounts of ammunition....they do not worry about killing "civilians or women or children," anything that moves is ok to shoot....
...In Iraq there are some excellent Muslim snipers who, like all good snipers, fire one shot at a time with deadly results...but in most Muslim attacks, it is the body count that matters the most...we see it every day....

All suspects "from former Yugoslavia" ... . And wanted to mass-murder US military personnel. Gee, why don't I think they are Serbs who wanted to avenge their innocent people murdered by the US military for the Bosnians and Kosovar Albanians? Why do I think that "the yuts" are Bosnians and Kosovar Albanians who wanted to "thank" the US military for murdering Serbs for them, for annihilating 135 holiest Christian Serb shrines and eradicating Christianity from Kosovo? Every time America aids a "jihad", it comes back to bite her on the ass.

A friend of mine was in Afghanistan and spent a lot of time trying to teach the Afghan soldiers to shoot straight but they never got it. Apparently they used more of a "spray and prey" tactic. Does this inability to aim emanate from a belief in predestination? For instance, if it was already determined if the target would be hit, why would one aim?
I have noticed that Muslims use the phrase "God willing" often, which to me indicates a belief in predestination. A pretty good copout to use at work I guess. For example, "I will have the project finished by Friday, God willing." When the project is done a month late, it was just God's will so how can anyone get mad at me?
Clearly marksmanship is a learned skill but, if one thinks that they cannot affect the outcome, why would one practice?
at May 8, 2007 6:37 PM
If one has seen Afghanistan or most of the other islamic countries in the world it is easy to understand why the "g-d willing" mentality is so common. What ever you want is because "g-d is willing", not because you worked for it..and whatever goes wrong in your life can be blamed on Jews..or Americans..or both. It's a great life...g-d willing.

Ah, but we should be gratefull for that. Media could use 'present Serbia' instead 'former Yugoslavia'. And we shall be guilty again.
