Note how cannily Tatar tried to play both sides of the street, telling a Philadelphia Police Sergeant "that he had been approached by an individual who asked him to provide maps of Fort Dix and that he thought the incident was terrorist-related." This was just to try to find out if that individual was an FBI informant (as indeed he was). Did the Sergeant (or his superiors) think that the Department had found a good moderate Muslim to work with?
"Timeline of events in Fort Dix attack plot," from Newsday:
A timeline of events leading up to the arrest Monday night of six Islamic militants who allegedly planned to attack Fort Dix:_ Jan. 31, 2006: A shopkeeper alerted the FBI about a "disturbing" video he had been asked to copy onto a DVD. The video showed 10 young men in their early 20s shooting assault weapons at a firing range earlier that month. The group called for jihad (a holy war) and shouted in Arabic 'Allah Akbar' (God is great).
_ March: An FBI informant infiltrated the group by developing a relationship with Mohamad Shnewer.
_ May 26: Shnewer told the informant to look at particular DVD files on his laptop. One file contained what appeared to be the last will and testament of at least two of the hijackers involved in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks; another contained images of Osama bin Laden and other Islamic extremists calling on the viewer to join the jihadist movement.
_ July 7: A second informant was approached by six men, one of whom, later identified as Eljvir Duka, invited the informant to his home.
_ July 29: In a meeting recorded by the second informant, Shnewer showed several videos on his laptop computer that depicted armed attacks on U.S. military personnel.
_ Aug. 1, 2 and 5: Shnewer told the first informant that he, Serdar Tatar, Dritan Duka, Eljvir Duka, Shain Duka and others were planning to attack a U.S. military base, and Shnewer specifically named Fort Dix, explaining that they could kill at least 100 soldiers by using rocket-propelled grenades.
_ Aug. 5: Shnewer told the first informant they need to conduct surveillance of military bases to decide which one to attack.
_ Aug. 11: Shnewer and the first informant traveled to Fort Dix to conduct surveillance. During the trip, Shnewer told the informant the plan was to "hit four, five, six Humvees and light the whole place (up) and retreat completely without any losses." The two also drove to Lakehurst Naval Air Station. Law enforcement officers also observed Shnewer drive by himself to Fort Monmouth later that day.

_ Nov. 12: Tatar told the first informant he would acquire a map of Fort Dix from his father's restaurant and described an area of the post which they could attack and cause a power outage, making it easier to mount the attack on military personnel. At the end of the meeting, Tatar asked if the informant was a federal agent. (It was unclear how the informant responded.)
_ Nov. 15: In an attempt to find out if the informant was a federal agent, Tatar told a sergeant with the Philadelphia Police Department that he had been approached by an individual who asked him to provide maps of Fort Dix and that he thought the incident was terrorist-related.
_ Nov. 28: Tatar told the first informant that he would provide a map of Fort Dix even though it could lead to his being deported. He expressed his continuing suspicions about the informant, saying, "I'm gonna do it. Whether you are or not (FBI), I'm gonna do it. Know why? ... It doesn't matter to me, whether I get locked up, arrested, or get taken away, it doesn't matter. Or I die, doesn't matter, I'm doing it in the name of Allah." Later that evening, Tatar left a map of Fort Dix in an area near the informant's residence.

"So what if they screamed "allahu akbar", "allahu akbar" is screamed when at football matches, protests that have nothing to do with Islam (like the one about the Chief Pakistani judge) and during an uprising (like this one) against discrmination, "allah Akbar" doesn not mean one has an "Islamist" agenda"

Repeat examples of double dealing of the highest order. This is what it means to have Muslims living in our midst. It's virtually impossible to divine their motives and intentions -- and frankly if they're truly Muslims practicing Islam -- then such a one should NOT be trusted implicitly no matter what they present to hapless "infidels" such as we.
This traitorous "religion" and its traitorous practitioners should be treated the same way any spies and enemy infiltrators have historicall been treated. The war doctrine of Islam requires good Muslims to be enemies of America -- when is our populace going to finally wake up to the nightmare Islam has brought to our shores?

From the timeline, we can infer that other plots are in the same stages. Some are known to the FBI, and some are not.
The chance that a plot gets exposed is 1 in 10?
The change that a plot dies on its own without the FBI knowing it is 9 in 10?
1/10 + 9/10 = 1 exactly.
So America is safe for immigration.

"The defendants, all men in their 20s from the former Yugoslavia and the Middle East, include a pizza deliveryman suspected of using his job to scout out the military base."
Orthodox Serbs, no doubt! It's a good thing our state department is pushing the Kosovo independence plan so those peaceful, secular, non-extremist former Yugoslavia muslims can counterbalance the orthodox Serb terrorists, who have clearly now have allied themselves with Middle East muslim extremists to bring jihad to America!
Kind of hard to win the war on "terror" when your enemy is also your ally...

Oh, and the same AP article had this reassuring tidbit...
"Authorities said there was no direct evidence connecting the men to any international terror organizations such as al-Qaida. But several of them said they were ready to kill and die "in the name of Allah," according to court papers."
I admit, I was quite worried, but now I am very relieved.. I mean someone saying they are ready to kill and die for Allah is definitely NOT direct evidence connecting that individual to international muslim terrorist organizations.
Glad to have such wise authorities looking out for me.

There is no such thing as a moderate muslim, because Allah did not structure it that way. All muslims are extreemists, or they would not be muslims. Extreemism is Islams way, because the perfect religion is ripe with it. It is perfect in its glaring imperfections. A bad tree cant produce good fruit, or so the master says. The tree of Islam will continue to produce bad fruit, untill someone cuts it down. Geo Washington, where are you?

Hugh suggests that a rational and prudent approach to jihadists and dedicated murderers in our midst would be:
"a complete halt to Muslim immigration, a total ban on Saudi and other Arab money entering this country to be used to buy up influence (all those hirelings in Washington, from every administration and both parties)"
I would add cancelation of all visas of non-US citizen Muslims in the US and the deportation them until the threat is past.
This would have the potential to result in extremely disruptive economic consequences, particularly in the US. The impact could easily be greater than anything since World War II. Gas lines, rationing of all sorts would follow as the Muslim world screams and reacts. We would have to be ready to go it alone; the EU would probably not raise a finger, they would likely exploit the situation to their advantage to the degree they could.
This is why in addition to the parenthetical comment by Hugh above, that it is going to take more than one or two hundred deaths of American military in fort Dix or Iraq, more than 3000 dead in New York for the US government to go onto a true war footing against the enemy.
The loss of Denver to a nuclear explosion or 12,000,000 cases of small pox might do it.
But think of the lives we could save if we took proper action now. We don't need to invade or nuke anyone, just cease all commerce. I suggest, that were the US government to act, after the economic fallout, those elusive moderate voices of Islam would finally be heard.

I am in agreement with Hugh. Until America wakes up to the THREAT of Islamists/Jihadists more of these plots are going to be tested/tried. Whether they are driectly connected to al queda or not these people here without a visa or even with a temporary visa should be kicked out of here. We need to remember that we cannot trust them any more than we can throw them. They have been instructed since childhood that to lie to an infidel (such as us) is OK, it is perfectly 'honest' to do so for the good of thier religion and the goal of siezing other countries.
These people DO NOT want to be friends with us any more than I would want to make a pet out of a porcupine while his needles are ready to strike.
Wake Up America. CAIR is not here to help us have good relations with muslims, only to get the muslim agenda passed in this country and our Godly heritage(s) taken away from us.
