I wonder if the flying imams will want to pass a law against the DVD copying business which fingered these accused jihadists!

As of the 11:12 PM ET update to the NYT home page, the subheading on this subject reads, "Six Muslim men from New Jersey and Philadelphia were charged with plotting to attack the base with automatic weapons and possibly even rocket-propelled grenades."

Posted by: kamala [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 8, 2007 11:18 PM

I was thinking along the same line, James Martel. Will CAIR file a law suit against any John Doe's along the way who thought these jihadists were suspicious and spoke to the police about them? That aspect of the case should be very interesting.

Here's the lead article on the subject at the NYT:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/09/us/09plot.html?_r=1&hp&oref=login

Lots of references to the fact that they're Muslims, that they "had no clear motivation other than their stated desire to kill United States soldiers in the name of Islam."

Luckily for us, most Jihadists are extremely honest and forthright with their intentions. The problem is that usually no one wants to hear about it.

Of course, however, it wouldn't be the NYT if they didn't end the article this way:

“This is not what our religion teaches us,” said Zia Rahman, who helped found a mosque in nearby Voorhees last September. “These people claim to be Muslim, but I don’t know how they can be. Islam is a religion of peace, not of violence, and this goes against the grain of our religion.”

kamala is correct. The article has been changed. Same picture leading off the article, but the author is now DAVID KOCIENIEWSKI, and references to "Muslims" have mysteriously appeared.

This is OFF topic, but very important to all US citizens.

Next Tuesday, May, 15th a protest is being organized against the oil industry.

It is called DONT BUY GAS ON MAY, 15TH!!

The prices are out of control and this is a national effort to protest and hit the bulging pocketbooks of the oil companies and their useless executives.

This is a free and effective way to hit back against the surging gas prices and please tell all you know and e-mail everyone on your lists.

This was done in 1997 and the price dropped 30 cents overnight so it is time to do this again.

PLEASE DONT BUY GAS NEXT TUESDAY MAY 15th and this is another way to fight back against islam and the muslim nations who are all trying to kill us with our own dollars.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD as it is in everyones financial interest and does not cost you a penny!

Here is a timely article from last Friday.

Take a look and vote that the article is right on the mark. Reward those reporters who forewarn. Not those reporters who are still in denial.

Hungarian Crusader, better to protest in front of your Congressperson's office; they are the useless ones. The govt. makes more on taxes than the oil companies do on profits. We need to develop our existing resources and build refineries. That is the real answer. The President should declare an energy emergency as part of the war on terror!

Fort Dix was named after John Adams Dix, a US Senator from NY, Major General in the US Army during the Civil War, and later Governor of NY.

I'm an Asian, but I've already told you, the NYT is a Euro-centrist newspaper. If the story had been about a small group of Russians plotting to blow up Fort Dix, then the NYT would have been screaming for military action against Moscow and the deportation of all Russian immigrants.

The NYT is the Voice of Brussels -- RFE (Radio Free Euro-centrism). NYT is a European embassy on US soil.

That's why they support Islam so vociferously. Because they feel Islamic militancy was the trump card weapon that defeated Soviet communism. They want to keep their trump card alive. It gives them a feeling of security.

Posted by: sanman [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 12:54 AM

Can't the NYT come up with another word for "Muslims".

Let's think...

"Curious Fellows".

"Strict Thinkers".

"Adamant Types".

"Devoted Purists".

Such clarity as "Muslims" may cause the pages to self-destruct.

Whenever there are small incidents against muslims (even small mischief by kids), then the so called seculars make it a big issue and cry that "everybody is trying to destroy islam". But, when the muslims, kill innocents, they simply keep shut their ugly hole on their face tight.

We should stop voting to the so called seculars and communists.

Cool, Spencer uses Mac/Safari too!

Charged with Islamophobia, the jury's still out -- but undeniably win/dos-ophobic, like me.

No wonder they haven't been able to crack your system yet, Robert.

Posted by: Archimedes2 [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 2:07 AM

This event may have a bit of the "Flying Imam's" as they gave info out in the place of the try at the DVD/video copy. This almost looks like a attempt to bring attention to themselves.

If they wanted to kill solders, a poison in the pizza would have reached the goal. And the idea they could have done just that, but did not, brings in terror.

Perhaps the real goal, again.

Posted by: IslofobIS-1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 2:43 AM

My God! Even Al-BBC relented at some point and included the 'I' word ('The men, all foreign-born and described as "Islamic militants"); although the story has now been completely excised from the UK edition of the news pages (it can only be found on the 'international and 'Americas' sections of the site).

This is disgraceful self-censorship on the part of the NYT.

OT, but nice to see you're using a Mac, Robert..

This kind of attacks is specialty of Kosovo albanian terrorists. I remember one exactly the same attack on Yugoslav Army military base in late 80's in southern Serbia and this terrorist tactic continued until today. Now thy just throw a bomb on UN troops here and there because they expect western support for "independence"... But they can't hide the spirit of murderer Muhamed for too long...

Posted by: LazarOfSerbia [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 3:41 AM

Thanks for pointing this out, but it comes as no surprise!! Radio talk show host Glenn Beck recently talked about an article in NYT that lumped radio hosts who speak of Islamic militancy as being at the root of terror TOGETHER WITH SHOCK JOCKS LIKE DON IMUS, as being part of the same problem!! NYT should be closed for aiding and abetting the enemy and policy makers brought up on charges of TREASON!!

Glenn Beck thinks Islam is peaceful and its been "highjacked" by "extremists".

Guys, let's put some internet foolishness to bed here. Not buying gas on a specific day is not going to hurt the oil companies. Driving less is what hurts the oil companies.

For example, let's say you have 5 gallons of gas in the car and you don't buy gas for a day. However you still use 4 gallons of gas. You are still going to have to buy gas the next day. If you drive less and stretch out that 4 gallons, then you are affecting the gas companies. It's how much you use not when you buy. This is economics 101.

Think about where a pizza would be delivered on an Army Post. Most likely to quarters. Where the families live.
Think about the wives and children who have been terrorized already. Thinking they are safe, in America, on an Army base. They have been robbed of their security.
One good thing I have heard many people say, "Thank God for the patriot act". in the last 24 hours.
This has been coming from people who normally don't talk politics. I don't see this as a good year for Dems to vote for ditching it or changing it. Probably wouldn't bode well for them at the polls.
OT the Uk has gotten four more.

The Patriot Act is providing a wealth of valuable information that just may save lives...The coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have uncovered many documents containing phone numbers and names....the intelligence agencies then follow up... a domino effect takes place, one phone number leads to another...it baffles me when some Americans object to the gathering of intelligence that just may save their lives...for example, the intelligence agencies have been monitoring these "Ft Dix youths" for a year, no doubt tracing and tracking all their calls...I would bet the intelligence agencies now have many more names they now monitor....Let's do all we can to win, and that includes keeping the Patriot act...

National Albanian American Council Strongly Condemns the Planned Attack on Fort Dix Army Base in New Jersey

WASHINGTON, May 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) issued the following statement.

The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) strongly condemns the planned attack on Fort Dix Army Base by a group of people who reportedly
plotted to attack the base, and we congratulate the law enforcement authorities for their swift apprehension of the conspirators, thereby
preventing a possible tragedy. While details are still being released, it was reported that these individuals, who plotted the attack on Fort Dix
Army Base, included persons with "radical jihadist views" with national origins from Turkey, Jordan, and Macedonia.

"As Albanians, we have lost brethren in the World Trade Center in the 9/11 Tragedy and fought willingly beside US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq
during the US-led war on terror, suffering significant casualties. We are particularly sensitive about the actions of these individuals, some of whom seem to originate from the Balkans, as others with unsavory political motives may attempt to ascribe these actions to Albanians but, as Albanians, we remain the most pro-American people in the world," NAAC Executive Director Avni Mustafaj said in an official statement. "As a
people, Albanians have significant percentages of our population worshiping all of the major faiths of the world and have never suffered from religious strife among our people. In fact, we have been a role model in Europe and, even represented the only nation in Europe that saved 100 percent of its people of Jewish faith during World War II. Furthermore, we provided safe
haven for all the Jews that fled the Holocaust to Albania. We aspire to have Albania join NATO in the coming year and are working with the US and other democratic Western nations to establish an independent Kosova which will be a global role model for religious and ethnic tolerance."

Mr. Mustafaj further stated that, "Fort Dix is a uniquely special place for Albanians for this is where refugees who fled ethnic cleansing from
Kosova into Macedonian refugee camps were brought to the US. The refugees were registered and provided numerous services and assistance to begin
their new life in America. We are all relieved that this tragedy was avoided and ask that those who sought to harm innocent American service men
and women be brought to justice immediately."

American and Albanian relations mark the 85th Anniversary this year and the relations between our two nations have never been stronger. In fact,
this coming June President George W. Bush will be making an historic visit to Albania in support of Albania's bid to join NATO. Thousands of Albanian
Americans have and continue to proudly serve in the US military, and soldiers from Albania serve side-by-side with US soldiers in Iraq,
Afghanistan and in numerous other locations.

"We, as the people who gave the world their greatest symbol of peace, Mother Teresa, hope to continue her life's work as a people and contribute to eliminating religious hatred from the world and promoting peaceful coexistence among all people," added Mr. Mustafaj.

The National Albanian American Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Albanians and promoting peace and economic development in the Balkans by fostering democratic policy, promoting respect for human rights, and conducting educational and developmental programs. hey Hungarian Crusader your lost on me on this one, l think l will fill up both my vans on this day! what kind of thinking do people have towards oil companines, they are so regulated by the gov't, cant drill in the US and coastlines, cant refine the oil, so we are affected by what happens in Nigeria, etc. oil companies produce black gold, texas tea, something that we are have our freedom to travel with, and something the gov't taxes to death on!
give the oil companies a break Gov't produces nothing, and take taxes on those who produce. we give too much power to our gov'ts, who ignore more important things like "islamist terrorists"!

Same on the NYT, now here is a clue, dont buy that paper, even call up their advertisers, and tell them you will not endorse their products because they advertise on such an ignorant paper! that will work better than not buying gas on May 15!

Of course, the Times did not put the dreaded "M-word" in their lede (the NY Post, of course, did; I haven't checked the Daily News and Newsday accounts yet).

One of the most disturbing details about this whole story is the fact that the pizza guy -- one of the jihadi plotters -- was allowed virtually unrestricted access TO A UNITED STATES ARMY BASE once he showed the pass issued to the business to the guard at the gate. He could drive around and use a cellphone camera to take pictures and map the place out. If we are at war, why is a military facility not ON A WAR FOOTING? I am sure that during WWII, civilian deliverymen were not given free and unrestricted access to any military base. In a way, this is a landlocked repeat of the USS Cole debacle -- guards patrolling on deck with UNLOADED WEAPONS (per politically inspired Pentagon orders --wouldn't want a jumpy sentry shooting a local by mistake and making for strained relations now, would we?) allow a small civilian boat from shore to pull alongside for the refuling (again, on Pentagon orders to use local contractors as a "good-will gesture"). Then -- BOOM! It was a peacetime mentality, even though they were in a known war zone and should have had their guard up. Here -- same thing. 9/11 turned the U.S. into a war zone -- but we're still operating as though it is not. Think of Pearl Harbor on the lazy morning of Dec. 7, 1941, before the Japanese planes showed up.

I hope that heads roll over at Dix, and whoever was/is in charge of base security is broken down to private and put to work on KP, peeling potatoes. How about from now on, any deliverymen from the outside are given an escort (i.e., a guard RIDES WITH THEM in their vehicle, which has been searched) to whatever building they are going to, they do their business under tight scrutiny and are then escorted back to the main gate and out, and not allowed to wander around UNESCORTED to do whatever they want? I hope our new defense secretary issues an IMMEDIATE ORDER to ALL U.S. military and naval facilities, anywhere, that security is to be tightened to prevent such free and easy access by outsiders. What will it take to get the brass to tighten up -- a VT-style massacre perpetrated by fanatic jihadis who took advantage of too-lax security conditions?

Consider this incident a gift -- a warning that our security is too lax. Fortunately, these guys got stupid regarding their shooting videos and were tripped up by the video store clerk, who tipped off the authorities so they could infiltrate this gang. Fortunately, NO American blood was spilled -- THIS TIME. We might not be so lucky next time.

Glenn Beck thinks Islam is peaceful and its been "highjacked" by "extremists".
That's because Beck read, and has recommended on his radio show, Karen Armstrong's book. Somebody needs to set him straight. Posted by: aynrandgirl [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 9, 2007 12:13 PM

Suleiman al-Kosovi (ne Stephen Schwartz) might wish to comment on these Albanian practitioners of the "real Islam" that so impressed Stephen Schwartz that he stopped his Spiritual Search then and there, and hasn't gotten back on the Magical Mystery Spiritual Search Bus again.

He is apparently now in the "Reforming Islam" racket. A specialty of this "revert" is apparently explaining how peaceful Islam actually is to groups of other Muslims who aren't quite so new to it, and those Muslims, according to the enthusiastic report of one of Schwartz's main backers, really have their eyes opened to the "real Islam" -- as you can see by the expressions on their faces, and so it has been worth every penny of all the foundation and government money that is no doubt flowing in for this "bringing the real moderate Islam to Muslims in America" project. Nice work if you can get it. And of course - just look at those earnest, transformed faces of those now true-bluely "moderate Muslims." A success, forsooth, a success!

Exactly the same headline appeared in the local newspaper -- "6 arrested" -- same paper which refuses to publish any letter to the editor critical of Jihad or Islam -- but routinely publishes false, malicious lies about Israel (some of the letters, incredible, all I can say -- the fantasies could only be believed by the revert-retards).

Don't doubt that they drew inspiration from the Utah Mall Killer!

It would help if somebody had a map of were the Clinton's Balkan Muslims have been resettled to in the US. Then it wouldn't be hard to predict the next jihadist move.
