National Review asked Mary Habeck, Victor Davis Hanson, Zuhdi Jasser, Daniel Pipes and me to contribute some brief reflections on the Fort Dix jihad case. Here are the submissions from Pipes and me:
Daniel PipesI draw two lessons. First, that immigrants seeking refuge in the West must be grilled for their attitudes toward our civilization, our religion, and politics. Whether it be Somali refugees in the United Kingdom, Algerian ones in France, or Balkan ones in the United States (remember the Salt Lake City shooter in February, as well as four of the current six accused terrorists), individuals given the privilege and benefits of a new life then with some regularity turn around and attack their adapted fellow citizens. This unacceptable pattern has to be scrutinized to prevent future such atrocities.

Robert Spencer
Four of the Fort Dix plotters are in the United States because of America's support for the jihad of the Kosovo Albanian Muslims. They are among those who have taken advantage of American officialdom's refusal to consider the implications of the flow of jihadists from Afghanistan and elsewhere into the Balkans in the 1990s, and of the ideological affinity between the Kosovar jihadists and jihadists elsewhere. While the U.S. supported the Kosovo jihad, it was infiltrated and ultimately co-opted by al Qaeda; after that, members and supporters of the jihadist Kosovo Liberation Army were allowed to enter this country with little or no scrutiny.
The Fort Dix episode thus illustrates how foolish it is for the U.S. to assume that it can ally with jihadists, or at very least use them in order to defeat enemies who are perceived as being a more urgent immediate threat. By concluding such alliances America will never win, in any significant numbers, hearts and minds away from the jihad ideology of Islamic supremacism, which ultimately views all non-Muslims as to be converted to Islam, subjugated as inferiors, or killed. The Fort Dix plot is just the latest illustration of how seriously jihadists take that imperative.

Might want to remember that Albanians are fighting with the coalition in Iraq against the jihadists there and have lost many backing us up. ...
National Albanian American Council Strongly Condemns the Planned Attack on Fort Dix Army Base in New Jersey
WASHINGTON, May 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) issued the following statement.
The National Albanian American Council (NAAC) strongly condemns the planned attack on Fort Dix Army Base by a group of people who reportedly
plotted to attack the base, and we congratulate the law enforcement authorities for their swift apprehension of the conspirators, thereby
preventing a possible tragedy. While details are still being released, it was reported that these individuals, who plotted the attack on Fort Dix
Army Base, included persons with "radical jihadist views" with national origins from Turkey, Jordan, and Macedonia.
"As Albanians, we have lost brethren in the World Trade Center in the 9/11 Tragedy and fought willingly beside US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq
during the US-led war on terror, suffering significant casualties. We are particularly sensitive about the actions of these individuals, some of whom seem to originate from the Balkans, as others with unsavory political motives may attempt to ascribe these actions to Albanians but, as Albanians, we remain the most pro-American people in the world," NAAC Executive Director Avni Mustafaj said in an official statement. "As a
people, Albanians have significant percentages of our population worshiping all of the major faiths of the world and have never suffered from religious strife among our people. In fact, we have been a role model in Europe and, even represented the only nation in Europe that saved 100 percent of its people of Jewish faith during World War II. Furthermore, we provided safe
haven for all the Jews that fled the Holocaust to Albania. We aspire to have Albania join NATO in the coming year and are working with the US and other democratic Western nations to establish an independent Kosova which will be a global role model for religious and ethnic tolerance."
Mr. Mustafaj further stated that, "Fort Dix is a uniquely special place for Albanians for this is where refugees who fled ethnic cleansing from
Kosova into Macedonian refugee camps were brought to the US. The refugees were registered and provided numerous services and assistance to begin
their new life in America. We are all relieved that this tragedy was avoided and ask that those who sought to harm innocent American service men
and women be brought to justice immediately."
American and Albanian relations mark the 85th Anniversary this year and the relations between our two nations have never been stronger. In fact,
this coming June President George W. Bush will be making an historic visit to Albania in support of Albania's bid to join NATO. Thousands of Albanian
Americans have and continue to proudly serve in the US military, and soldiers from Albania serve side-by-side with US soldiers in Iraq,
Afghanistan and in numerous other locations.
"We, as the people who gave the world their greatest symbol of peace, Mother Teresa, hope to continue her life's work as a people and contribute to eliminating religious hatred from the world and promoting peaceful coexistence among all people," added Mr. Mustafaj.
The National Albanian American Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Albanians and promoting peace and economic development in the Balkans by fostering democratic policy, promoting respect for human rights, and conducting educational and developmental programs. Then you have not learnt enough Pipes.
Suppose you do grill their attitudes and find that they are benign towards our civilization, our religion, and politics. And on that basis they are allowed in. What difference does that make? Their children and children's children may not be benign. As long as Sunni Islam contains incentives to destroy other cultures, other religions, replace laws with Sharia, enslave the natural population - you dare not let any Muslim in, even if they are personally benign

I specially like albanian whinning over Mother Theresa. If they are so proud on her, why they dont simply convert back to catholicism? Or there is some other deeper issue? Maybe is holy Mother Theresa just like americans, jews and nato- coverstory for broad balkan jihad agenda where the serbs was major and most motivated obstacle to the main goal.
Muhamed was right on one thing: war IS deception. Specially when you are albanian.

I voted for George Bush twice and while I am thankful that neither Gore nor Kerry was elected, George Bush continues to confound me.
Why would his administration be pushing for Albania for NATO, not to mention Turkey in the EU?
How much of this nonsense can we let go on? How much of this is coming from the State Department?

Yeah, that "mother Theresa" propaganda is great...
"Albanian Muslims object to city's statue of Mother Teresa
MUSLIMS in Albania's northern city of Shkoder are opposing plans to erect a statue to Mother Teresa, the ethnic Albanian Catholic nun in line for elevation to sainthood by the Vatican.
... But Muslim groups in Shkoder rejected the local council plan for a statue, saying it "would offend the feelings of Muslims".
"We do not want this statue to be erected in a public place, because we see her as a religious figure," said Bashkim Bajraktari, Shkoder's mufti, a Muslim religious leader."

Daniel Pipes
There's one surefire way to minimize (not eliminate - MINIMIZE) this threat: an immediate and total ban on immigration of Muslims to the US. It needn't be permanent, but it needs to be of a long duration.
I know there are many peaceful Muslims, but it's wrong to expect State Department officials to weed out the bad from the good, given that many pose no threat until they commit their first (and last) act of jihad. If Muslims want to be able to come to the US they first need to eliminate the threat TO the US posed by their co-religionists. Reform Islam or stay in your home country. Eliminate jihadists or be eliminated by them. The fight is one that Muslims must undertake. We can't do it for them.

In connection with the post by Lazarofserbia:
in 2001 the stats on Albania are roughly as follows: 41 % Christian (mostly Orthodox, some Catholics, some Protestants - all groups with quite a high conversion rate - they're increasing much faster than the country's general population growth rate), 38 % Muslim, about 20 % nonreligious (legacy of the Marxist era under Hoxha). So the Muslims do NOT have a clear overall majority; and the Protestant Christians have a higher conversion/ increase rate than the Muslims - this despite enormous foreign Muslim expenditure on bribes and da'wa, far exceeding anything any Christian group would have been able to spend.
The Bible Society in Albania recently produced - by interconfessional effort - a new Bible translation.
Catholics and Orthodox: enlist every saint you know to pray that Albania follows the example of blessed Mother Teresa, and not the example of Mohammed the murderer. Protestants - just pray! Secularists - sponsor someone to translate Robert Spencer, Bat Ye'or, Ibn Warraq and Hirsi Ali into Albanian and donate multiple copies to Albanian town libraries. Or donate to the Albanian Bible Society anyway - Albanians believing in Jesus might give us more Mother Teresas, Albanians following Mohammed ....'nuff said.

Right to the point!!!
I'd say it's 90% comming from State Dept.
Clinton's jihad allies are still there in great numbers, and most of them who bombed Serbia and who dedicated their carriers to total destruction of it, are still there trying to snatch Kosovo from Serbia, now, 8 years later.
Let's just mention undersecretary Nick Burns, Frank Wiesner and Daniel Fried. Those are, alongside prominent EU jihad suporter and nazi - Marti Ahtisaari, leading trio of the today's Balkans horror.
I can understand Mr. Bush not replacing them at the time of war in Iraq and Afganistan. Kosovo issue was of the radar, and jihad allies from the State Department did a great job covering the truth from both Bush and public. But now it is time to act.
Sad thing is that those bastards from State Department are not the only problem. Widely corrupted UN administration in Kosovo is even greater ally of the Albanian jihadists. Not to mention strong congressional suport jihadist are receiving.
But, I have no doubt that truth and sense will prevail.

All this "nice "guy", "religious", "victim of religious persecution", bull could have been avoided if the FBI had let these six jihadist bums enter Fort Dix, where the army would have been waiting for them with enough fire power to reduce them to single-cell animals.
Once they produced an AK-47, it would have been al over with -- with no appeals.
Now we'll have to listen to this "nice guy" crap for the next ten years.
