One hopes lessons learned from the war with Hizballah will make this response more substantive, and that Olmert and others will think twice about yielding to domestic and international pressure to make suicidal concessions to the jihadists for temporary peace. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert promised a harsh response Wednesday to the barrage of Qassam rockets that has hit the Negev city of Sderot over the past day. At a security consultation held in his office, he instructed the IDF to target the Hamas terror network in the Gaza Strip and to go after the cells launching Qassam rockets.
He said Israel could not continue its policy of restraint after over 30 Qassam rockets hit Sderot, injuirng three residents, including a 70-year-old woman.
At the security consultation, Olmert said that he objected to a mass evacuation of Sderot, criticizing billionaire Arcady Gaydamak's funding of buses to transport residents out of the city.
"Those are the images Hamas is waiting for and I am not prepared to award terror with victory," he explained.

Earlier the Muslim terrorist rocket launchers were hitting open fields, now they are hitting houses...It appears that after years of firing rockets into Israel they have finally learned how to hit something....

It's either a ploy to bring fatah and hamas together (common enemy syndrom) and/or the start of a new war directed by Iran.
We'll see what hezzbollah does when the tanks roll into gaza. Then we'll know who's pulling the strings.

"Israel’s air force struck back twice on Day Two of the attacks, first against a Hamas command center in Rafah, killing 7, injuring 20, next striking a missile crew about to start firing from Sejaya
The damaged Rafah center was in charge of Hamas smuggling operations of men, weapons, explosives and missiles from Sinai to Gaza.
Tuesday night 20 missiles hit the town, injuring 30 people including a mother and three children. Schools and workplaces in Sderot and neighboring Shear Hanegev will remain shut Thursday. People are fleeing the heaviest missile attack Sderot has ever sustained in seven years, for lack of bomb shelters or adequate protection from the missiles flying from Gaza.
Wednesday, a Hamas spokesman called for the “recovery of Sderot which was stolen together with the 1948 occupation of Palestinian lands.”

There are Islamic terrorist training camps in the United States too with growing arms launching capabilities.
The Islamic terror network known as al-Fuqra, for example, owns territory in at least seven states including Pennsylvania. Residents of the areas in which these terrorist camps operate report repeated loud explosive noises that may be practice bombings. ul-Fuqra was established by Ousamah bin Laden's associates in al-Qaeda.
The US government continues to bury its head on the sand on this issue. The Muslim Brotherhood reportedly owns property across America and the establishment let this happen! God help us (and I mean Yahweh and NOT that other thing, the 'moon-god' Baal of Islamic veneration).
How could the US government and establishment NOT see what was coming????
What is occuring Israel could easily happen in the United States.
You heard it from me (but not only me of course). My money is that we WILL see something like the recent Israel-Hizbollah war happen here on US soil.
Because the US govermnment sat on its hands once again. Sad to say.

Israel should move the border closer to the rocket launching site. Every time rockets are launched, border is redrawn, reducing Gaza in size.
It's very Saddamlike. Very simple. Even the apemen of Hamas will understand the logic.

Olmert, only, knows how to do one thing and that’s flip-flop. Hamas, et al, are chuckling over his wimp-like threats of retaliation.
Besides, Qassams have been lobbed into Sderot for numerous months. So, now it is different to Olmert and his bilious gaggle. The same goes for Israel’s fair-weather allies who feed and supply arms to Fatah.
Obliterate Gaza and then continue onward until this scourge is no more.

Olmert and his socialist European cabal is the best asset terrorists have. He gives away land and more land to hang onto power and cares nothing for the Judean state.
His response with the get out of Iraq policy is going to be the war the Israeli state is going to bleed en masse for.

Fight to win Israel. Fight till they are either all dead, or at least enough of them that the rest don't want to fight anymore.
Think of Dresden, Berlin, Okinawa, and if need be, Hiroshima. Took us 4 years from start to finish.

How do we get the FBI's attention? It's not like they never attacked an enclave in the USA (think Ruby Ridge, or Waco & David Koresh). Yes, they got a lot of criticism, and so...? They're part of our government and are supposed to protect us. Those Muslims aren't practicing hunting Bambi in Islamberg; they're practicing hunting US.

EZ, goot point:
I remember when the iran-iraq war broke out...when asked for a comment, the Israelis said, simply:
"We wish them a long and healthy war."
That wish came true, too.
We here also knew if Israel disengaged as they did (putting the wall up), isolating themselves from the terrorists, it would only cause the terrorists to turn on each other...looks like those forecasts are correct.
It's ok, AMartinez, this time I doubt hezbollah will be able to sneak in spotters masquerading as tv crews this time around, which is why they were as accurate as they were to begin with.

Israelis aren't known for making the same mistakes twice, especially with maniacs vowing to exterminate them publicly.
