American officials argue that Abu Hamza, the one-eyed, hook-handed jihadist cleric from Britain, was involved "in a global conspiracy to wage terrorist attacks on the U.S. and other Western countries." Hugo Keith's remark is noteworthy: "He advocated the defense of Islam through unlawful, violent and armed aggression." Quite apt.

LONDON (AP) — The United States argued Thursday for the extradition of a radical Islamic cleric imprisoned in Britain, accusing him of involvement in a global conspiracy to wage terrorist attacks on the U.S. and other Western countries.Abu Hamza al-Masri has been charged in the United States with trying to establish a terrorist training camp in Oregon, conspiring to take hostages in Yemen and facilitating terrorist training in Afghanistan.
He is serving a seven-year sentence in Britain for fomenting racial hatred and urging his followers to kill non-Muslims.
"He advocated the defense of Islam through unlawful, violent and armed aggression," Hugo Keith, a lawyer representing the U.S. government, said during a hearing in a London court....Al-Masri's lawyer, Alun Jones, said the extradition application should be rejected because he believed some of the evidence against the cleric was extracted by torturing a defense witness....
But of course, claiming torture is straight out of the Al-Qaeda playbook.
Keith said the planned training camp in Oregon would have been used to prepare recruits to "kill enemies of Islam" in Afghanistan, training them in weapons use, hand-to-hand combat and martial arts."The general allegation is that Mr. Hamza is a member of a global conspiracy to wage jihad against the U.S. and other Western countries," Keith said. "Jihad carried out in numerous parts of the world — the U.K., Afghanistan, Yemen and U.S."

And what is America going to do with him?
Put him in maximum security at 65,000 dollars a year.
Feed him special Islamic diets for another 20,000 dollars a year.
Pay for his defense for 2 years and forever appeals at several million dollars.
And for what reason? Having this malcontent will not stop one terror event. America has a number of Muslims here stating the same things.
Perhaps the Justice Department should focus on America's own terrorists without importing a dog already in the kennel.

How come these lawyers, judges and prosecuters totally ignore the existence of the AQ playbook? Why has nobody ever whipped it out in court and confronted these turds with that stuff?
How come everyone seems so overly eager to accept the outrageous claims of these jihad freaks that they have been 'tortured'- as in no CD-player, a ball that doesn't bounce and soap without fragrance? I think we need judges that automatically add 10 years to the sentence as soon as one of them claims 'torture'
This whole politically correct disease seems to rob everyone of reason and sanity.

He has lost both arms and an eye for some time.
Abu Hamza like to pretend (if I recall correctly) that it was all lost in a Jihad opeation for Allah but the truth is he carelessly mishandled a bomb in a terrorism training camp, it went off...
A spy (for us that is) reported in the Sunday Times that he had attended a terrorism training camp and he had mentioned to Abu Hamza at a Mosque, the name of his training leader on bombs (who had been Abu Hamza's trainer) and knew the truth of how Abu Hamza gained his injuries. Abu Hamza's face dropped and he quietly asked him not to mention this to anyone else in the Mosque.

That is to have children for the express purpose of making human bombs of them. It would be hard to imagine evil worse than this, but we dont have to imagine it. You cant trust European's to jail anyone. Germany recently traded terrorists for citizens. Who's to say a futer weak-kneed English government does not trade him for three Englishmen. Three English leftists seized protesting US action in the midest for example.
