Blogger Sued for Publishing Stories About Muslims linked to Terror

Litigation Jihad. The intrepid Pamela over at Atlas Shrugs has the story. The target is Bill Warner, who writes this to Pamela:

On 5/21/2007 I was served summons of Complaint and an Injunction by the Mcintrye Law Firm of Tampa Fl who represent Abdul Raouf M. Dabus in a Defamation Law Suit against myself and my company for supposedly linking Mr. Dabus and his company VIP Motors in Tampa with shipping vehicles to the Middle East for resale in support of terrorism and that Mr. Dabus had worked at the Islamic Academy of Florida with Sami Al-Arain (The School that Terrorism Built) as an instructor from 1999 to an unknown point and that Mr. Dabus was linked to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and that such information is posted on my web site www.wbipi.com.

No such information states that Mr. Dabus is shipping vehicles to the Middle East on my web site, the statements on my web site concerning Mr. Dabus are from open source public records and the Sami Al-Arian trial.

Mr, Dabus did work for the Islamic Academy of Florida with Sami al-Arian from at least 1999 to an unknown point, see Tampa Tribune article by Michael Fechter....... see article here

Read it all.

So why would Mr. Dabus specify a crime in his suit -if Mr. Warner has not made any such accusation...? Seems an inadvertent confession is being made by Mr. Dabus.

from what l read the case has not gone to court yet? perhaps with the lack of evidence it will not reach it?

Sounds like a SLAP suit - trying to have a pall descend on free speech and expression in relation to the jihadis.

Not to be tolerated. Expose these bastards.

The courts will be key to the success of Slow Jihad in the United States.

Courts are managed by lawyers in black robes. Lawyers come from law schools, all of which, without exception, are Marxism Holes. Marxists love Moslems cuz Moslems are putative victims, exploited masses, proles, excuses for Central Control.

Lawyers in black robes unflinchingly embrace Fictive Reality. The Constitution got thrown under the bus by Harry Blacknum, a dipshit lawyer in a black robe who was tipped off that the right to privacy was in the Constitution (it's not) and that by inference the right to pop the top of an unborn baby's skull was in the text, too, cuz to let it live would be to invade the mother's privacy.

Constitution gone, we now have a legislature of 12. Twelve dopes intent on destroying what's left of the Constitution, and what better way to do that than enforce Sharia. The only thing better is ripping off the skull of an unborn baby.

Many have wondered how low we can go, what will happen when we bottom out. Now we know the answer: Rock bottom is when we are all Moslems, answering to a hairy tyrant who runs the neighborhood from the local mosque.

Funny thing, though, is that the upper crust suburbs where the lawyers in black robes live will have hairy tyrannical Imams ruling from local mosques, too.

But it'll be great. You can read the good news every Sunday morning in the Fictive Reality Times.

Joke's on everybody. Islam's on everybody.

The legal jihad is rapidly picking up speed. Evidently, the case of the six non-flying imams has provided a great inspiration to the Islamofascist in the USA.

All Bill Warner needs is the legal team that Anit-CAIR had. People who file law suits must endure discovery and a list of pre-trial question that can be damaging to plaintiffs who are trying to merely silence their opposition.

I predict this case will never go to trial.

John Dean sued G. Gordon Liddy many years ago for slander and defamation, nothing has happened is far as I can find out. Sometimes people file a lawsuit hoping that the news will leave an impression in the gullible public that the defendent is a mean person and whatever was said was not true.

Alarmed Pig Farmer, please use your "black robed lawyer" example and explain why the court overturned the Washington DC gun ban.

Posted by: Pelayo [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 27, 2007 9:38 AM

Why Pelayo, you're an Attorney-at-Law?

Posted by: Alarmed Pig Farmer [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 27, 2007 9:43 AM

Alarmed Pig Farmer one of the good things Bush has done is to put in two good conservative black robes in for the Supreme Court. as well as tax cuts for all who actually make money. lets hope the next president will be a Republican who will install more good black robes who are in line with the constitution, orginalists that is, and good conservative who dont invent the law or take examplse of foreign laws, ie EU laws.

Lawsuits deemed frivolous can be expensive for those who bring them -- expensive in money, in time, and in the very bad publicity.

Posted by: Hugh [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 27, 2007 10:20 AM

This looks like a SLAPP harassment. Too few states have adequate, if any, anti-SLAPP legislation including Florida which tries to protect mainly against Gov. SLAPPs (http://www.slapps.org/stateLaws.htm ). IN these times of both lethal & legal Islamic Jihad, citizens should make efforts to get their legislators (if there are lucky enough to have many that actually work for the public) to create strong anti-SLAPP laws – something that Islamists would hate to see.

Alarmed Pig Farmer,

If someone published a news article in the community where you lived and worked saying that you were the leader of a cult of pig worshipers, that you had a pig for a wife and fornicated with them, and had 100 stuffed pig heads decorating the walls of your home, and you lived like a pig, you'd be pretty mad. If you owned a business in that community it would suffer from the public's belief that you were unstable and not someone they would want to associate. You would want justice. And you would probably call a lawyer to get your justice.

It is not really necessary to paint your vision of lawyers with so broad a stroke.

Similar to what Hugh says, if Warner said these things and can back them up, he has little to worry about other than the cost of defending himself. If he can show that the suit is frivolous and that there was no good faith basis for this suit to be brought, he can recover the costs of his defense from the person who filed the suit against him.

It does no good writing the McIntyre law firm. In fact, the will revel in the notion that their name is being mentioned. It's good, free publicity for them. Getting the firm's name in the public's eye, even when they are defending serial killers, usually just brings in more business. Offended pig worshipers know who to call when they think they've been defamed.

BTW- I used the link provided to Warner's website and I could not find the reference to this particular car dealer( there are several car dealers mentioned). Did anyone else find it?

In civil defamation cases the burden of proof is lower. All you have to show is that there was a chance (on the balance of probabilities) that what you allege is true to a reasonable person .

So , this chap's credibility will have to be attacked to have the judge dismiss this .

If he has ties to schools linked with terrorist propaganda he is in trouble already !

America is a litigious society .This may be a frivolous lawsuit or it may not ..

Posted by: purplemarbles [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 27, 2007 11:37 AM

I just read the car theft ring section on Mr. Warner's website. Where does he mention Mr. Dabus by name? I can't find it. And me thinks this lawsuit wants to cover up something bigger than just defamation. I bet he will expand the lawsuit to include the former Tampa Trib reporter Michael Fechter and perhaps his new employer as well.

Well, Farmer, all I was trying to point out was an example that does not fit your idea of "black robes" trying to change the constitution. I guess I'll have to ask again.

Alarmed Pig Farmer, please use your "black robed lawyer" example and explain why the court overturned the Washington DC gun ban.

I am not a lawyer; I do not care if you are a doctor, lawyer, or an indian chief, but do you have an answer?

Posted by: Pelayo [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 27, 2007 3:07 PM

Legal jihad? The non-islamic countries are the only place where they have a legal system at their disposal.

Posted by: sheiknbake4pork [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 28, 2007 8:06 AM

"explain why the court overturned the Washington DC gun ban.

Posted by: Pelayo "

...the gun ban like most anti-gun legislation was completely ineffective and virturally unenforceable....THe only people it effected were those honest citizens who probably did not own guns nor were interested in guns and the victims of gun assaults perpertrated by criminals who had guns...Washington crime statistics show that since the gun ban was in effect, gun violence increased, not decreased...gun legislation handcuffed the honest citizens...exactly what the dhimmicrats and PC crowd wanted...

the only way to slow down gun crime is to severely penalize those who use guns for violence and crime,...say ..mandatory 20 years in prison no parole for gun violation conviction...

gun permits and background checks have slowed some gun purchases, but it is too easy to go to Mexico and come back with any type of weapon you want....without any paperwork required...you only need cash....terrorists are crossing the US/Mexico border with regularity with Assault rifles, grenades, mines, and other weapons....this is not a state secret....
