Well al-qaeda did warn us multiple times leading up to 9/11. This concerns me for several reasons. We've been receiving warnings for the last 8 months or so? The fatwa to kill 10million americans that OBL asked for? The continuing rhetoric about wiping Israel and the United States off the map.

If they do something like nuke multiple cities i say we nuke them back to the stone ages....Oh wait, they never left the stone ages, nevermind.

I know our response to a nuke attack would be pathetic though. I hope whoever our leader is when this happens will meet force with force x10 or x100 and let them know this won't be tolerated.

It is pretty simple, if we get nuked we nuke Iran. If it happens again, we nuke Saudi Arabia. We had plans for a massive nuclear war with Russia and i'm sure those haven't gone away.

THe terrorists cannot touch our ability to retaliate and they underestimate our resolve because of our weak leadership. But, America has always responded when kicked hard enough. I expect it to happen like that again.

I was chatting with some guys last night and one of them (I think he's from Japan, not sure though) threw this at me. I am writing the essense of his chat.

We know that a. q. khan proliferated. What we do not know is to whom he gave the stuff. We can safely assume that the qaeda has the bomb. Then what are they waiting for ? He was of the opinion that the qaeda is looking for more bombs, that the next attack on us would be crippling since these devices would wreck havoc on multiple cities. They also showed me the truth about Christianity, so that now I have accepted Christ as my Savior. But I still have to learn a lot more about Christianity and Christ. My clearest goals in life right now are to get good grades in my A-levels (the British high-school system), get into a good conservative university in the USA, finally go to a Church for the first time in my life, and get baptized.

His mother and father were both "hippy" fundamentalist Christians and Adam grew up on a farm near Riverside, California, raising goats and providing local Muslims with halal meat. Adam Gadahn's father, the son of a Jewish man and a Christian woman, changed his name to Gadahn and became a Christian hippy back in the 60's. The only Jew in Gadahn's past was his paternal grandfather.

Halachah, the Jewish law, defines a Jew as someone either born of a Jewish mother or a convert to Judaism who has been accepted into the Jewish people by a Jewish court.

Gadahn fled Orange Country, California for committing assault against a Muslim man he had assaulted for "being friendly with the Jews."

I'm working on a blog post regarding this latest message that explores the idea of U.S. withdrawal from "Muslim lands."

I know that term gets tossed around quite a bit.

Can anyone point me to a few definitive resources to back up exactly what is meant by this?

It's pretty clear the followers of Ron Paul in their delusions think that if we abandon Iraq, Israel and Middle East the threat of Jihad is solved.

So perhaps this video and it's talk about "Muslim lands" would be a good reminder that this is not so.

A muzlim land is one under muzlim control, like Iraq, or one that WAS under muzlim control, like Spain, or one that SHOULD BE under muzlim control, like the UK.

So, I know you're trying to show EXACT details on what this means, but it really includes the PLANET according to Islam.

If you want to breakout like I mentioned above, I'd probably start with World Factbook for current, howardbloom.net & History books for past, then color the rest as future.

Others may have better sources for you, but hopefully this is a start...but I'd have those 3 categories, because it IS a worldwide vendetta.

Pre-Islamic Arabia's religion was one of superstition. Belief in jinns (genies), curse casting, magic stones, totems was the norm - and it was against this background that Allah arose. Although the Quran is claimed to be a heavenly writing with no earthly source, evidence of these very sorts of cultural influence is found in such places as Suras 55, 72, 113 and 114.

Animism, the belief that spirits inhabit rocks, trees and other elements was also very commonplace. Some of these stones were venerated and used as a focal point for the worship of a particular tribal god. No surprise, Muhammad's family had just such a stone for their own tribe - a black stone, in fact, that they kept at the Kabah (where the tribal idols were set up). The pagan rites of bowing toward Mecca, making a pilgrimage to the Kabah, running around it seven times, kissing it, then running to the river to throw stones at the devil all found there way into Islamic practice.

The final piece of the puzzle was in found in the religion of the Sabeans, an astral religion that worshipped the moon god and planned their religious rites around the lunar calendar. One such rite was fasting from crescent moon to crescent moon, a practice which would also be adopted by Muhammad.

If these things were not present before Muhammad received them from Allah (who himself is the moon god of Muhammad's tribe), why did Muhammad not have to explain what those words meant in the Quran? How would people have known who Allah was? ( or: what a jinn was? what the Kabah was? what the word Islam meant? etc.). Even the word "Islam" which many believe to mean "submission" was not an original word. In Arabic it was a secular term that denoted the strength and bravery of a desert warrior (a definition that accurately reflects the war-like tribes that founded Islam with bloodshed).

The Moon God

"Allah" is from the compound Arabic word "al-ilah" or in english "the god". Allah was known before Muhammad's time without a doubt. His name has been found in pre-islamic writings and other archeological finds. At the Kabah in Mecca over 350 gods were worshipped, but it was built especially for the chief deity - the moon god. Allah was the personal title of the moon god. Allah was married to the sun goddess. They produced three daughters, whose worship Muhammad would later make the mistake of condoning. The crescent moon symbol of Arabia came from this god.

Muhammad's family revered this particular god, and it is this idol that Muhammad declared to be the only true god. So, Allah - far from being the revealed God of the Bible as Muhammad would have us believe - is nothing more than an amplified pagan idol. Muhammad did not re-make the pagan god, he simply removed the lower deities from the rites of worship. That is why he never had to explain who Allah was. By definition, an idol converted in the 7th century into a new god cannot be the sama God revealed thousands of years earlier to Biblical prophets!

Miss Anthorpe: Thanks for suggesting Howard Bloom. The historical context here is especially important because it shows that an aggressive and expansionist Jihad existed long before the United States, long before Israel and long before we were "stealing" the Arabs oil.

I'm amazed by the number of people, especially supporters of Presidential candidate Ron Paul who dismiss Jihad as the root cause and insist that we could appease the Islamists.

No doubt when I post on the subject the practioners of suicidal delusion will come crawling out of the woodwork and deny it all again.

The pre-Islamic origin of "Allah"

There is absolutely no question that Allah was worshipped by the pagan Arabs as one of many polytheistic gods.
Allah was worshipped in the Kabah at Mecca before Muhammad was born. Muhammad merely proclaimed a god the Meccans were already familiar with. The pagan Arabs never accused Muhammad of preaching a different Allah than the one they already worshipped.
Many scholars say "Allah" is derived from a compound Arabic word, AL + ILAH = Allah. "Ilah" in Arabic is "God" and "Al" in Arabic is a definite article like our word "the". So from an English equivalent "Allah" comes from "The + God". Others, like Arthur Jeffery say, "The common theory is that it is formed from ilah, the common word for a god, and the article al-; thus al-ilah, the god," becomes Allah, "God." This theory, however, is untenable. In fact, the name is one of the words borrowed into the language in pre-Islamic times from Aramaic." (Islam: Muhammad and His Religion, Arthur Jeffery, 1958, p 85)
Although "Allah" has become known as the proper name for the Muslim god, Allah is not a name, but a descriptor that means literally, "the god". All pagan cultures have these generic terms that refer to their "top god" as "the god". In comparison to the perfect monotheism of Judaism and Christianity, "Allah" was originally no more a proper name for the Muslim God, than the word Hebrew "elohim" (god) or Greek "theos" (god) are proper names of the one true God of the Bible. "Jehovah" is the only revealed proper name for the "Elohim" of the Old Testament ( Ex 3:13; 6:3) and "Jesus" is the only revealed proper name of "Theos" in the New Testament. (Acts 4:12) Islam has no proper name for their god, but merely transformed, by universal use and confusion, the generic Allah into a proper name. So although today, Muslims use "Allah" as a proper name, it was never used this way originally. Allah, therefore is equivalent to "elohim" and "ho theos" but not "Jehovah" or "Jesus". Allah is not the name of the nameless Muslim God. However Muslims will claim that Allah is the name of God that corresponds to Jehovah. Both the Father and the Son are called "ho theos" (The God). Jesus is called "The God" many times in the New Testament: John 20:28; Heb 1:8. An important conclusion from this, is that the mere fact that "Allah" is equivalent to "elohim" and "ho theos" does not mean they are directly corresponded. It certainly doesn’t prove Allah is the same as the God of the Old or New Testament. It does not prove that Muslim’s worship the same God as Christians. If this correspondence proved the Muslim god was the same as the Christian God, then because pagan religions also have generics that correspond to "the god" (Allah), this correspondence would also prove that Allah is the same god as the Buddhist god, for Buddhists also refer to their god as "the god".

Buddhism, or "bodhi-dharma" (the path of awareness) is a non-theistic religion. Buddhists do not speculate about the existence or non-existence of God or gods. They speak of "bodhi-citta" (pronounced cheeta) which translates roughly as "mind of being awak") and believe all humans have the capability of being enlightened; but the Buddha, the historical figure Siddhartha Gautama, did NOT posit a need to believe in gods.
