JFK Plot Update. "Suspect in NYC airport plot surrenders," by Tony Fraser for the Associated Press:
PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad - A Guyanese suspect in an alleged plot to bomb a fuel pipeline feeding New York's John F. Kennedy Airport surrendered to police Tuesday in Trinidad, a police official said.
Abdel Nur turned himself in at a police station outside the Trinidadian capital of Port-of-Spain, police spokeswoman Wendy Campbell told The Associated Press.
He is the fourth man arrested the alleged plot, including a former opposition member of Guyana's parliament and a former airport air cargo employee who was arrested in New York.
Trinidadian Police Commissioner Trevor Paul warned Monday that Nur should be considered armed and dangerous and he appealed to the public for help in finding him.
"I am confident that the pressure brought to bear by the Trinidadian police authorities contributed to his surrender," said Mark Mershon, the head of the FBI in New York. "We are very grateful for their tremendous cooperation in this investigation."

...and I'm quite sure if he's guilty that his neighbors will say "but he was really such a sweet and good man!"

For some reason, this incident reminds me of the Bali Bombers recently having been let off by the Indonesian government. I guess the difference here is that the Trinidadian government is not populated by Moslem bureaucrats, as is the case in the Indonesian government.

I'm really surprised this guy turned himself in. I never would have guessed it in a million years. Something doesn't seem right.

mrockroll1969,
I think you're right. This doesn't pass the smell test. Maybe the fix is in.

Maybe now we can get to the bottom of the mystery as to who it was exactly that massacred all those hundreds of people found in that Bahamanian cathedral in 2000.
This Trinidian Islamic terrorism organization is a likely suspect either as perpetrator or accessory, thinks we.
