Azeri Muslim leader: Rushdie knighthood creates conditions for propagation of "Islamophobia"

The coordinator of the Centre for the Protection of Freedom of Conscience and Religion (DEVAMM) in Azerbaijan is not so keen on Rushdie or the Queen's freedom of conscience. “Such measures can be the cause of the strengthening aggression of the West against Islam. They provoke Muslims. Muslims should be very careful, watchful and cold-blooded.”

A broken-English article (I didn't know "Rushdu" was Turkish), "Rewarding of Writer, Well Known for Aversion to Islam, Create Conditions for Propagation of Islam Phobia: Coordinator of DEVAMM," from the Trend News Agency (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Britain Queen rewarded Salman Rushdu , the Turkish writer, well known for his aversion to Islam, with Militant order.

Ilqar Ibrahimoglu , the coordinator of the Freedom Protection and Religious Liberty Centre (DEVAMM), has stated that such an action creates conditions for the propagation of Islam phobia.

The Queen represents Great Britain and her population. From this point of view the activity of the Queen can be perceived as wrong from some people.

Ibrahimoglu brought up the issue on the cartoons of the Islam Prophet Mohammed, the fallacious statements of the Pope and Bush, the President of the United States, who portrayed the word Islam as ‘fascism’.

The Nobel prize rewarded to Orkhan Pamuk , the Turkish writer, can be perceived incorrect.

“Such measures can be the cause of the strengthening aggression of the West against Islam. They provoke Muslims. Muslims should be very careful, watchful and cold-blooded,” Ibrahimoglu noted.

Muslims create the conditions for Islamophobia. They don't need any help.

Do Muslims ever wonder about how their aggression is provoking the West?

What goes around comes around.

Re: Azeri Muslim leader: Rushdie knighthood creates conditions for propagation of "Islamophobia"

In January 1861 James Russell Lowell said of the slave holders in the Old South: "What they demand of us is nothing less than that we should abolish the spirit of the age. Our very thoughts are a menace". For years the Slaveocracy attempted to silence all criticism of slavery (the "gag rules") in congress and in society in general. They wanted all critical thinking re their belief-system banned. They demanded their culture be respected and not subjected to critical thinking. It was no exageration when Lowell said of them "Our very thoughts are a menace". That was the real basis of the Civil War.

What Lowell said applies to Islam today. They cannot tolerate critical thinking. However, the bumper-sticker "Islamophobia" response to critical thinking of Islam is wearing thin among unbelievers (and even with many Muslims). Freedom is about the mind. "Our very thoughts are a menace" to the Azeri Muslim leader and Muslims like him. That's the issue.

It's always amusing yet disgusting how Muslims will use any event as a spark to light the world on fire. Islam will destroy us over any excuse.Someone makes a Cartoon and the world should burn yet they will make absolutely disgusting anti Jew catoons and TV programs and nobody say's boo. Free speech is not negotiable. too bad for Iran or any Muslim who cannot deal with it.

”…according to a Foreign Office spokeswoman, relayed Britain's own "deep concern" about comments made by the religious affairs minister, Mohammed Ijaz ul-Haq, in the national assembly yesterday.

Deep “concern”? One can be “concerned” while jogging or sipping tea. Are the British so wimpy? There should be official OUTRAGE for this Pakistani incitement to suicide bombing inside England. Public apologies must be made and this minister must be fired!

Aggression? What aggression? Muslims are only defending islam because they are oppressed. They will remain oppressed until islam rules the world, at which time justice and peace will prevail. Islam is the solution to every problem, obvious by the idyllic conditions in the islamic world. Just think, they want to make our world just like theirs!

It's not enough for us to "respect" their foul religion, we are also expected to respect their hate. If these people weren't so dangerous and threatening, they could be stars on the comedy club circuit. I didn't think muslims could get any more deranged, illogical, or hypocritical, but I believe we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. Sadly, they are dead serious! We need to start ridiculing these bozos at every opportunity, and opportunity abounds!

Let the Muslims protest that our criticism of their religion and their 'Prophet' gives them pain.

They would not feel pain if the criticism were not true!

Posted by: LondonBorn&Bred at June 19, 2007 1:00 PM

Bingo. They cannot tolerate any critical thinking and demand an end to all criticism of their ideology. They will not be satisfied until they impose "gag rules" on everyone. That is the painful truth for us. It is no exaggeration to say that they want silence from unbelievers, an end to all critical thinking re their beliefs, and absolute submission to them. That's their goal.

Posted by: Frank [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 19, 2007 1:11 PM

What doesn't provoke a Muslim is more the question and the answer is everything from the looks of it.

And that makes them very dangerous incapable of being part of a modern civil society.

They just cannot fathom their own behavior creates Islamophobes, not Rushdie. Even other apostates who leave islam don't create Islamophobes.

And the muslim's actions only makes one want to find out why they hate, kill and torture so one looks to reading their history, paying attention to their daily slaughters that go on around this globe, finding out about their prophet, etc and then reading their koran and hadiths - is what creates Islamophobes.

I am an Islamophobe and don't trust them at all. I can accept the fact that there are ignorant muslims and muslims who are afraid to do anything outside of the confines of their 'religion', but I don't accept that they can be trusted either anymore. I cannot tell which is which and they are way too silent of a majority who chose to dance and ulalate, collect the money from places like Saudi Arabia, when their 'martyrs' kill others. And that is the group where the radicals hide, are recruited, and taught to hate others.

...all this Muslim violence and hate generated by Muslims is causing me to suffer from Muslimadeathophoebia....Islam is the policy of insanity and Muslims are the administrators of the policy.

....since Muslims have failed miserably in getting people to accept Islam voluntarily, the Muslims now are trying for force people to accept Islam from the barrel of the gun...

....Smart people do not accept Islam...Islam is for losers....

“There should be official OUTRAGE for this Pakistani incitement to suicide bombing inside England. Public apologies must be made and this minister must be fired!”

What would you have us do FM? Should we threaten to bomb Pakistan if they ever speak to us again like that?

Fat chance fella, this government is trying to run down the once mighty British Army. We couldn’t even retake the Falklands today. For a national force to be less effective than it was twenty five years ago is a farce.

So all we can do is talk in a stern manner until we can get out of Iraq, which I predict will happen just before the next election for some strange reason I can’t put my finger on. Then we will need one of our so called allies to take over in Helmand province while we rest and retrain. An increase to 7.5% defence spending would be nice too.

It ain’t going to happen though, not while Neu Arbiet is in control and our allies are Europeans. It’s not likely under Cameron either. The guy is more right on than most of the Labourites.

What we need is David Davis MP. Born to a single mum in the north, this guy joined 23 SAS to pay for his exams. With him in charge we might get somewhere.

I think I'll put an "Islamophobe On Board" in my window.

Truer words were never spoken. WND has two articles that are a study in contrast.
Hamas is warning all in Gaza including the two thousand Christians (out of one million people) to obey Islamic Law or they will be dealt with:

Christians can continue living safely in the Gaza Strip only if they accept Islamic law, including a ban on alcohol and on women roaming publicly without proper head coverings, an Islamist militant leader in Gaza told WND in an exclusive interview.

The militant leader said Christians in Gaza who engage in "missionary activity" will be "dealt with harshly."
....
"As a principle, we believe that Jews and Christians will always do everything in order to keep Muslims far from their religion," Abu Saqer said.
....
(and the kicker - proof that they just can't fathom what they are doing is dangerous to Islam)

"I hardly understand the point of view of the West concerning these issues. The West brought all this freedom to its people but it is that freedom that has brought about the death of morality in the West."

And what is the Christian response?

But the Gaza church isn't playing victim to the circumstances. Instead the Christians are running clinics, libraries, bringing humanitarian aid to the needy and carrying on meeting. They meet openly at the church.

So which is the "religion of peace"

I was looking for the Borat byeline. The English and the facts (who needs facts, Rushdu?) may be scrambled, but the cold-blooded anger comes through loud and clear. We can have no real friends there.

Posted by: MP [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 19, 2007 1:54 PM

I find it amusing it's called a 'Militant' order, as if being given a lordship is STILL Medieval to the Brits.

May have to reinstate some 'Militancy' ourselves pretty soon...

The only way that the Salman Rushdie knighthood has provoked Islam Phobia, is by such comments as:

"If someone commits suicide bombing to protect the honour of the Prophet Muhammad, his act is justified" (Pakistan Religious Affairs Minister)

That's how you provoke Islam Phobia, by scaring the crap out of Westerners, by making them realise that they will be suicide bombed each time Muhammad is dishonoured.

To the azeri muslim leader. I believe I am the first to coin this term, WESTERNOPHOBE. Where I come from, turn about is fair play. Now shut your whining pie hole.

Posted by: mustang65 [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 19, 2007 3:11 PM

No Muslim has the right to tell non-Muslims how to conduct their lives. Since we do not recognize Mo the pedophile as a prophet of the One True God, then we cannot dishonour him. He is not a holy man. He does not meet the definition of holiness. On the other hand he meets the definition of one who was evil to the core - murderer, thief and pedophile. I wonder how many women he raped.

Good. Islamaphobia needs to spread.

Islamaphobia = cultural rationality
