If both Hamas and Fatah start racing to expose the atrocities committed by the other, they may never stop. Both will have what Bob Hope, Don Rickles, and Milton Berle could only dream about: a virtually endless supply of new material.
Moderate Fatah Update: "A Visit to Fatah's Torture Chamber," by Ulrike Putz in Spiegel Online (thanks to Sr. Soph):
A building formerly occupied by Fatah's intelligence service in Gaza was long notorious for torture and execution. Now Hamas is in control -- and is letting former inmates visit the chamber of horrors. The cells are small, perhaps six feet by six feet, with only an overhead lamp to provide light. The toilet is a hole in the floor behind a small wall. The prisoners have scribbled graffiti on the walls, including slogans like "Al-Qaida in Jerusalem" and "Islamic Jihad." One inmate even scratched the phrase "Mother, oh my mother" into the plaster.
The children have no interest in the graffiti. Four of them are rushing through the 30-odd basement cells, their mother and aunts in tow. The nine-member family has taken the afternoon off. Where parents in other parts of the world might take their children to a chamber of horrors in an amusement park, the main attractions in the Gaza Strip these days are Fatah's torture chambers.

So, where's Terje Roed-Larsen? Weeping and wailing and gnashing his teeth and exclaiming: "O the humanity!! It's a massacre!!" Where's Mary Robinson? Where's Javier Solana? Where's the International contingent of press photographers clamouring over themselves to get the best shots? Where's Amnesty for terrorists International? Where's Human Rights Watch? Where are all the media people, like the British Biased Corp?
And, where's Saeb Erekat, screaming about the more than 500 dead and the 5,000 tortured? What's become of Pallywood? How about some corpses on stretchers smiling and posing for the camera, eh? How about some dramatic re-enactments of the torture scenes, the throwing people off of roof tops, the shooting people in hospital beds, the dragging the corpses through the streets, all for the benefit of posterity and the United Nations?

I wondered at the savagery of Hamas, the Clockwork Orange style mayhem, until I read this. It is the savagery of vengeance, the joy of violence at work. It is their Islamic pleasure. Israel is an excuse for the feast. It's a start.
"Moderate Muslim" you had better find your voice because one day they will feast on you. That one day, for you, is not far off. Stop projecting re the source of the problem.

Recently we saw what the quintessential Moslem children's TV show would be; now we're getting our first peek into the Moslem Disneylands of the future.

You can't build anything from fundamental violence and madness, like the example of Mohammad, but violent madness.
Every dismal example within the Islamic world springs from this toxic Koranic root.
Poison in, poison out.

Obviously the reason for this double standard regarding reporting on torture that we have seen in the liberal press when it comes to skewering the US for abu Ghraib and Gitmo vs the stunning silence we have largely seen when it comes to reporting on the common practice of not only Muslims but others throughout the world as well in operating torture chambers with impunity, is that in order to maintain certain central liberal egalitarian fictions (including cultural relativism), which theoretically posit no differences between peoples on the planet - it is necessary to go to great lengths to present the news in an unbalanced way in order to create some fictional sense of balance, such that the US is no different from other political systems throughout the 3rd world in the way it treats its citizens as well as its captive prisoners, merely so that others on the planet aren't painted in a negative light in comparison and so that all those liberal fictions about the world can be maintained.
Of course this is to state the obvious game that huge numbers of people are onto by now. But still, sometimes the obvious should be restated, just in case there are people who haven't quite grasped the obvious fact that according to the elites, the ends justify the unethical and biased means where modern reporting is concerned if it means that they can continue to peddle their pet multicultural, morally relativist, kumbayah theories. Evidence against their theories be damned! Since it's all for a "good cause" as these elitists understand it, they'll manufacture their own evidence through journalistic crimes of both grossly lopsided overreporting when it supports their sociopolitical theories, combined with blatant journalistic crimes of ommission, when other evidence detracts from their psycho-social theories and sociopolitical agenda.
Could the 4th estate become the 5th column?

No doubdt their are many Pali,s who are moderate and do want want peace with Israel, but they have stayed quite, now they are paying the price for giving in to islamic terror.
What I find ironical is South Africa,s Minister of Intelligence, Ronnie Kasrils made international news headlines last month when on an official visit to the Palestinian territories he issued an invitation to Prime Minister Haniyeh to lead a Palestinian delegation to South Africa.
This was the first such invitation by a non-Muslim country.
As many are unaware the ANC had very strong backing from the muslims, and 25% of South Africa,s are muslims
To-day South Africa in some ares can be compared to Gaza.
Like in South Africa the violence is going to increase, so we should be prepared for the long haul
Warning This link contains some very nasty truths and graphics

Here is a sample of The Hamas Charter (may the Children of Israel wipe them out -- every last one of them):
Why shouldn't other children.. the Children of the Enlightenment.. HELP the Jews in this noble endeavour?
Next:
Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).

"The toilet is a hole in the floor behind a small wall."
There's one thing to be said for these primitive facilities -- they do preempt the which-direction-shall-the-commode-face controversies that are becoming so common in Western prisons and cause such angst to Muslim prisoners.
I'm sure now that Hamas is in charge, we will see a new era in Palestinian prisions. No torture. No killings. And a (properly oriented) commode and footbath in every cell.

South Africa has an estimated 600,000 Muslims, making up roughly 2 percent of the population. Many members of the community are found in prominent positions, in particular in the civil service and the media.
Still a recipe for disaster.

That shook me up Shiva. But then torture comes naturally to muslims. They start killing at the age of 4, when at the time of sunnat they are told to behead a goat/sheep/camel/cow and drink the first blood.
