Shi'ite cleric in Australia supports Hizballah, takes orders from Sistani

Sistani For Nobel Update: "I support Hezbollah: Aussie cleric," by Richard Kerbaj in The Australian (thanks to Andrew Bostom):

THE nation's most senior Shia Muslim cleric has attacked John Howard for backing Israel against Arabs and openly declared his allegiance to the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

Kamal Mousselmani -- head of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Australia -- said yesterday his entire community considered Hezbollah a "resistance group", not a terrorist network, and lashed the Howard Government over its support for Israel.

"They (the Australian Government) are encouraging terrorism," the Lebanese-born cleric told The Weekend Australian in an interview conducted in Arabic. "Australia is encouraging Israel to kill our people daily. Write that down, we are not afraid of anyone."

Tiny Minority of Extremists Update:

Sheik Mousselmani said all of Australia's approximately 30,000 Shi'ites were avid supporters of Hezbollah (Party of God) and haters of Israel.

"Shia in Australia consider Israel a terrorist organisation and also view those who support Israel in the same light," he said. "That's what we believe.

"If Australia supports Israel, they are defending terrorism. Because we believe terrorists come from Israel -- not from our people -- I support Hezbollah."

[...]

The 36-year-old cleric dismissed claims his community received funds from Iran to spread the ideology of religious hardliners in Tehran.

He said the Shia community in Australia took its religious orders and advice from Iraq's supreme Islamic leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali Husaini al-Sistani. "The Shia community has nothing to hide."

Australia should deport this idiot now.

Is treason no longer a punishable offence anywhere in the free world ? Sometimes freedom of speech goes too far.

Deport him and all others that support him or agree with his claims. If anybody pledges allegiance to a foreign group, deport them. If any person believes that the nation where they currently reside is a terrorist supporter, deport them.

Declaring the Australian government by proxy a terrorist state is like claiming a cause belli. Hey, this state is supporting violence against our Muslim brethren, it is imperative that we do something to return the violence.

5th column indeed.

"Australia is encouraging Israel to kill our people daily. Write that down, we are not afraid of anyone."

OUR people? Why isn't he deported or arrested for treason?

"Shia in Australia consider Israel a terrorist organisation and also view those who support Israel in the same light," he said. "That's what we believe."

So why can't we view them as they view us?

George W. Bush had it right the first time:

If you're not with us, you're against us.

If only he meant what he said. They certainly do.

The True Believers connect the dots for us on a daily basis, but we insist on remaining blind.

The Aussies should send this Sistani suck-up to Iraq, where he can strengthen the hands of 'Moderates'. As well as all Shia.

As for Sunnis, send them on the haj. NOW!!!

If the muslims get the idea they will be deported for what they say - all we will get are more muslims telling us what we want to hear and doing their jihad activities.

We got politicians who should be labeled traitors and they are in COngress. Look at Kerry and his laision with the Vietcong in Paris! There was another incident during the Reagon years when he was told not to go meet the communists - and he did. Look at the likes of Pelosi, and then we have the hollywierdos - Michael Moore, Fonda, and Penn to name a few. They abuse free speech and especially abuse it during times of war, as do these muslims.

Fine, if they want to be NOT considered terrorists, then the Israeli military should treat them like a regular military. And when they fire rockets into Israel, Isreal should take it as a declaration of war and fight to win (as opposed to the defense that they have been doing so far).
