Eyewitness reports indicate this was no accident. "Blazing car crashes into airport," from the BBC:
A car on fire has been driven at the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport, police have confirmed.
Eyewitnesses have described a Jeep Cherokee being driven at speed towards the building with flames coming out from underneath.
They have also described seeing two Asian men, one of whom was on fire, who had been in the car.
Strathclyde Police said two people had been arrested and detained in connection with the incident.
The airport has been evacuated and all flights suspended following the incident at 1515 BST.
A Whitehall spokesman said the incident was not being treated as a national security threat however the prime minister is being kept informed of developments and is expected to chair a meeting of COBRA - the emergency committee later.
First Minister Alex Salmond has activated emergency procedures in response to the incident.
The incident comes a day after two cars were found containing explosives in central London.
The cars contained petrol, gas cylinders and nails but the devices did not detonate.
One eyewitness said: "I heard the sound of a car's wheels spinning and smoke coming out.
"I saw a Jeep Cherokee apparently as if it was trying to get right through the doors into the terminal building.
"There were flames coming out from underneath then some men appeared from in amongst the flames.
"The police ran over and the people started fighting with the police. I then heard what sounded like an explosion."
Molotov cocktails
Eye-witness Richard Grey told BBC News 24: "A green Jeep was in the middle of the doorway burning.
"There was an Asian guy who was pulled out of the car by two police officers, who he was trying to fight off. They've got him on the ground.
"The car didn't actually explode. There were a few pops and bangs which presumably was the petrol."
Stephen Clarkson said he saw people running towards him and "panicking" then noticed a crashed Cherokee jeep.
He said he helped police restrain one of the men.
"It was lucky that I was there," he said.
"I managed to knock the man to the ground with my forearm and the police got on top of him and restrained him and put handcuffs on him."
Thomas Conroy, a maintenance worker at the airport believes the men deliberately tried to set the car on fire.
"It looked like they had molotov cocktails with them," he said.
"They sort of burst them round about the flames to make sure the car would go up big style.
"Within minutes it was up and the terminal caught as well."
'No accident'

UPDATE: Sky News reports that this is "being treated as a terrorist strike," and "armed police have now closed off Blackpool airport."

ETA and IRA are celebrating the accession to power by Gordon Brown(you can't trust a man with the last name Brown, because he is full of Brown). He is not going to have an easy job running the country. He is now more powerful that Bush, which is scary in the sense that Bush might do somthing crazy to restore his image as a powerful leader. When are our leaders going to accept and explicitly acknowledge what is so obvious, so incontrovertible - that Muslims in infidel lands render these lands forever threatened, the degree to which this is true bearing a direct correspondence to the number of Muslims who have taken up residency in infidel territory? Ban virtually all Muslim immigration, and expel those already in the West. How many more car bombs and other terrorist acts can we tolerate? The breaking point, and the reality of the menace, should have become apparent long ago. At what point will the UK finally have police (actually should be military) go door-to-door through the Muslim ghettoes (get everybody out and to some holding facility), then search every apartment, confiscating PC's and paperwork. Afterward, go back to the poor folks being held in detention, grab Islamists if they can find them and tell the others: "Sorry for the inconvenience. Here's 1,000 pounds and a ticket to Pakistan. I listen to Rusty Humpfries on radio and he recently went to London and interviewed islamists there, right out front of a base, I mean mosque in broad daylight. He wanted to get the low down and they were not afraid to say want they thought and last week he was talking about how much they hated us all. He was shocked, yes even frightened by all of the hate, he did not know just how badly they want us dead until now. I always have to chuckle when I hear another Westerner finally seeing the threat for what it is, im sorry but I cant help it, it just happens. I sit there a think, well duh, where in the heck have you people been these last 6 years? Deport these ingrates, the Brits have bent over backwards letting them live off welfare, sit on their arses, import their four wives, build their mosques, wear their ninja suits and still they call for the death of us all, round em up, move em out, get em gone, right now.

QUESTION: How can you tell if you're reading a news story about a Muslim?
ANSWER: The news story is about someone who tries to kill lots of innocent unsuspecting people in a crowded area, and the lefty journalist refuses to give any real description of the psychopath.
"Asian" in the USA means East Asian. We say "Middle-Eastern" to refer to crazy Muslim Arabs, often otherwise known as "terrorists".
The Left covers up for the Muslims bc they have the same agenda and they serve the same devil.
The BBC actually had a momentary bout of honesty when they recently OFFICIALLY ADMITTED that they are extremely left-leaning and their stories are skewed to be Anti-Christian and actually Anti-British. I applaud the BBC for their foray into the world of honest journalism, but instead of just dipping their toe in, they need to jump into the water. Stop covering up for evil.

Again, these type of cases do not belong in the civil judicial system at all. The western countries need to deal with this appropriately.
Fact is, these guys are out of uniform enemy combatants belonging to a group that has openly declared war on the west and intends to murder as many western civilians until the west submits to it. That is the reality.
Therefore, since these guys owe their fealty to this enemy group and are engaged in murdering British civillians, any British citizenship they have is invalid, and should be formally stripped.
They need to be turned over to the army, which after aggressive physical interrogation to get out all they know (since the groups they represent certainly are not signatories to the geneva convetion, and certainly don't follow Geneva conventions themselves), should shoot them for being enemy combatants out of uniform attempting to commit attrocities against British civilans. Round up their collabarators and repeat.
Again, with enemy combatants, such as anyone that holds to the jihadi belief systems is, the army should NOT wait for them to harm somebody, and then try to prove they did it. They should get eliminated AS SOON as they show intent to and they land in a position where they could harm the country's civilians.
This is quintessentially a military attack, and the British armed forces need to be allowed to neutralize the enemy combatants by MILITARY means. It does not at all belong in the civil judicial system, which was NEVER meant to handle such attacks...

Okay okay lets not get all crazy here. I know how to deal with this. First thing we do is make it easier for Muslims to emigrate to the west, then we make entitlement programs specific for them, so they need not stress themselves too much at integrating into western culture. Next we have to help them destroy Israel, and hand over southern Spain and southeastern Europe .... for starters. Then we should make a "time table" for conversion ourselves into the Islamic Ummah. I would like to see a peacefull roll over to Shariaa law. Then all nativie Europeans should peacfully offer themselves up to death camps for final removeal. Then we will have peace. The Democratic party supports this message ... member ACLU, Democracy NOW.

There are two possible scenarios for these incidents yesterday and today.
1. They are homegrown bunglers who have failed miserably in their potential attacks and not Al Qaeda. I don't think true Jihadi's would take off running after ramming a car, leading me to believe they are wannabees, pissed off at the Knighting of Rushdie.
2. They are a distraction for a larger terror plot that is Al Qaeda linked. Britain has just raised their terror alert to critical as they are expecting another attack.
What the hell is a Judeo/Nazi? What an idiot! How many attacks will it take to wake up our leaders? The only way to stop this is to begin deporting Muslims from Western society, but that will never happen. They will overtake our countries and then it will be too late. I'm with you Godfrey. Moreover, seeing as how the Democrats plan to shut off funding for Gitmo, in order to force its shut-down, this needs to become the general policy for dealing with all jihadis, wherever they are picked up. Interrogate, then execute. There is no basis for treating them according to the Geneva conventions let alone giving them access to our civil courts at our own taxpayer expense.
There's nothing cruel about that approach either since they actually seek martyrdom.

Part of the reason for encouraging immigration is to keep the population from decreasing, given that Western/affluent societies tend to have low birth rates. Hey, here's an idea - why don't the "powers that be" actually make it EASIER for actual CITIZENS to raise their own families? Every couple I know is under incredible stress, financial problems, working two jobs...I know this is a radical concept, but rather than importing hordes of Western-hating immigrants and given them free stuff, why not help average families raise their kids and reward larger families? I know - that's just crazy talk! Sorry for even suggesting it.

You're damn right I'm upset that these predatory terrorist scum are trying speak for all Asians, etc.
That's why Asians like me need to do more to speak out against their filth. It's absolutely not enough to defeat the jihadis militarily -- they have to be defeated ideologically. Their ideology has to be discredited, just like Nazism.
And the sinister thing is, it's not just Islamists who try to defend their own. There are a whole lot of lefty-types who are queueing up to go to bat for them. I reply to your query a few days ago to my blog.
As you know, I have been around JW/DW for quite some time.
Well about three years ago, most of the sites did not contain images. So I decided to spend more time searching for images instead of debating, as I feel there are many people far better at debating than me.
Also I beleive that pictures show the true horrors we are up against.
Many of the pix on my blog where very difficult to find, but, they are all over the net now. So I now feel my time has not been wasted.
So instead of gettng involved in debates that always seem to get no-where.I try and expose Islam with pictures.
I also link to my blog from here so as to re-enforce the topic at hand, or to make my point,and I find images are more effective than words, because I am not able to express myself as well as the images do

Well, Britain’s labor government leaders have always promised that their wonderful multicultural diversity they brought to Britian would make life more interesting. Think how dull it was before they let in all those “Asian” immigrants & Muslim asylum seekers persecuted as possible terrorists in their home countries:
you’d could just pick up your ticket at the airport, chat with friends or relatives at the terminal and just get on and fly off. Dull. Now for Brits thoughts of explosions, fires & flying body parts (maybe theirs) play in the back of their minds. And lots of long waits & delays, all a thank-you from these Muslim immigrants.

Shiva - thanks for responding. I really love your blog, as painful as some of the pictures have been to look at. A picture really does speak a thousand words though as our enemy certainly understands but your blog is one of the only outlets that seems to understand that on the anti-jihad side. I have to say though that I wish your blog was easier to search. For example, if I were looking for your images from the Balkans war (the tortured Serbs), how would I find those now? Or your images of the beheaded Christian girls in the Phillipines, or your images of Indonesia with guys on motorcycles holding up the heads of beheaded children or your images of Beslan or of rape? I remember early on when your blog just had numerous pages of continuous photos and I could recall approximately on what page the images I was looking for were. But since you've reorganized it i don't know how to find them. I have no idea how to organize a website so I don't know what is involved but I wish your site somehow included an index by country perhaps? Or by topic on the right side of the screen?
