SARAJEVO (Reuters) - Two armed men disguised as Muslim women in burqas held up a bank in Sarajevo and got away with some $40,000, Bosnian police said on Tuesday.

They said the pair entered a Union bank branch in the capital wearing head-to-toe black dresses and veils typical of women adhering to the orthodox Islamic code and trained guns on customers. They then made customers lie on the floor while the emptied the tills, police added.

"Everything happened in a moment. Two persons in black niqabs (burqas) came into the bank. I thought they were ladies," the Sarajevo daily Oslobodjenje quoted bank customer Mehmedalija Komarac as saying.

Women in burqas and men with long beards have become a common sight in the Bosnian capital in recent years.

The muslims want to stick out like sore thumbs, and basically NOT assimilate, and they complain. It goes with a post that I posted earlier on a different subject - I don't see muslims assimilating like our politicians keep spewing.

The true irony in your statement is that you're lumping all Muslims together in the same way that they're lumping all "Jews, Christians, Infidels, etc." together. Most Americans can't tell the difference between and Sunni and a Shiite, so why should we realistically expect them to do the same? Second of all, let's face it, that would be a pretty horrible chant....it has no rhythm, it's hard to say......come on, the ring leaders aren't that stupid. Make chants easy: it's angry mob 101. Plus, rationally speaking, they probably blame both parties equally because foreign policy-wise there's not that much of a difference. It's not like Clinton pulled our troops out of Mecca and W put them back in. Finally, people who chant in mobs are rarely known for their articulate-ness.

Well, I never actually made it to the last liberal group brain-storming session, but my guess would be that we decided that since such a rant jives so well with reality, we'd stick with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As far as going on and on is concerned; the real problem is where to start. There are just so many historical and logical inaccuracies bouncing around this site that scream for attention. Granted, I usually maintain a strict "no arguing with zealots" rule, but in this case I'm hoping that I can wade through a veritable flood of psychos and find someone willing to carry on a rational debate. Then maybe we can get somewhere close to discovering some real truth as opposed to just flinging insults.

When I die, I don't think I'll really care too much whether it's murder or weather gone wild....I'll be much more concerned about the whole dying bit. Maybe one's quicker and less painful than the other......kind of the lesser of two evils at that point. Oh, and as far as things out there that are likely to kill me, being blown up by a terrorist is way low on the list. Then again, maybe the terrorist blowing up the building, won't even be a Muslim after all. Maybe it'll be a McVeigh character. Maybe I'll have the bad luck to walk by an abortion clinic and witness firsthand the irony of protesting the killing of an embryo by killing a full-grown human.
