"Iran President Rejects Oliver Stone Documentary," from AP (thanks to Rob):
TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has rejected a proposal by Oscar-winning movie director Oliver Stone to make a film about him because Stone is part of the "Great Satan" cultural establishment, a semiofficial news agency reported."I sent a negative answer by Ahmadinejad to Oliver Stone," the Fars agency quoted Mehdi Kalhor, media adviser to the president, as saying Sunday. "It is right that this person is considered part of the opposition in the U.S., but opposition in the U.S. is a part of the Great Satan."

"I have been called a lot of things, but never a great satan," Stone said in the statement. "I wish the Iranian people well, and only hope their experience with an inept, rigid ideologue president goes better than ours."
Kalhor said Stone sent his proposal more than a year ago, but Iran decided against allowing him to make the film.
"We believe that the American cinema industry lacks culture and art," Kalhor was quoted as saying by Fars, which is considered close to Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard.
Certainly some of it does.

I'm sure you had no idea of what the history of the US was like. The 10 minutes of the above video is completely worth it - and you'll be surprised where the original settlers came from. Not to mention the Jews.
P.S. If JW is beginning to get blocked at various offices (obviously because some common filter services have added us in), why is the site so slow today? It should be a snap, since fewer can access it from work.

You could have Danny Glover to play Ahmadinejihad, and Harry Belefonte could play his best friend Hugo Chavez. Maybe we could get Democracy NOW to produce it and for her directorial debut Rosie O'donnel could direct it.

Interesting, this Hollywood bigotry! I think that Ahmadinejad (sic) should take a lesson from Hugo Chavez in that Chavez has promised millions of dollars to Danny Glover in order for him to make a movie. What great PR that is! Imagine the promotion, "Direct from the peoples socialist republic of Venezuela comes the new Danny Glover blockbuster, "I married a commie"!" starring all the Hollywood "progressives and Liberals you love to love!" Maybe if Stone let it be known he has converted to Islam the movie could be made. I know, Stone can say he "converted" and then after the movie he can say, "HaHaHa, the jokes on you, I am still a (insert western religion here). Then the mullahs in Iran can issue a fatwa against Stone, calling him an apostate and demanding his death, as he "converted" from Islam to whatever western religion is his choosing. Thus, the PR cycle is complete and Islam, once again has risen to the top, like stink on crap. Hey, you could even give Ahmadinejad 5% of the front end to sweeten the deal. After all, screen credit and 5 dollars will get you a starbucks coffee. Oh wait, thats a kuffar drink....better make it camel piss.

Here's the money from the Iranian official about why Stone's proposal was rejected:
"It is right that this person is considered part of the opposition in the U.S., BUT OPPOSITION IN THE US IS PART OF THE GREAT SATAN."

To equate Prez Mahmoud, who is working to nuke Israel and snuff out the only freedom there is in the Middle East, with Dubya, who at the first news of a Jihad war terror attack on the West rushes to the Islamic Center to praise Islam and plump his backside up for the cameras to shoot... well, Ollie, that's just plain stupid.

How terrible for the opposition in the U.S. that it doesn't grasp this sentiment or what it means. Well what it means quite simply (as I keep trying to explain to my friends on the left here in Canada) is that if an Islamic state ever comes to power in the U.S. the thanks they'll get for voicing and defending the cause of the Islamic world is to be butchered by it for their efforts like stuck pigs!
Perhaps I'm too pessimistic. Perhaps ... just maybe ... they'll wake up before its too late (?).
