As Darcy points out in his post, the role of the "Israeli" is rather oddly cast. While there are black Israelis, there aren't many of them, and they can hardly be regarded as typical Israelis. Sadly , many of the kids may end up in canada as refugees that fled with their Parents or come to canada like Maher Arar did to escape the oppressive Muslims.

Islam can never be reformed anymore than Marxism or Nazism could be. All three are totalitarian ideologies, except that Islam is a spirtual one while the other two are secular in nature. Thus, an enlightened Muslim is, and always will be, an oxymoron. I admire your optimism that "truth will prevail" and your optimism for the prospect of a "Muslim Solzhenitsyn." The reality is that the jihad has been carried on some 1400 years. I hope that "truth will prevail," but my take is that the truth about the global jihad is much more under wraps now than at the time of the Crusades. As for a "Muslim Solzhenitsyn," that continues to fall under the category of wishful fairy tale. How long did communism need to produce a Solzhenitsyn vs. Islam producing an equivalent? Solzhenitsyn was born 100 years after Karl Marx. The Jihad has been going on 1400 years with no "Muslim Solzhenitsyn" in sight. I am not holding my breath.
I admire Robert for all the good work he is doing here. But I am not optimistic that the moderate forces within Islam can be martialed to expunge the jihadists. If that actually happens ... great. The most important thing that Robert is doing is enabling us to understand the underpinnings of the global jihad, and help mount the counterattack upon the jihadist movement on an intellectual and substantive level.
We can only pray for an anti jihad superstar to arise from within the muslim ranks. Our time is better spent guiding the anti jihad forces in the west and the rest of the nonmuslim world.

In regard to Solzhenitsyn, remember that he and the whole Soviet underground movement were only able to operate with some openness because Khrushchev had broken the party's confidence and control with his revelations about Stalin's crimes at a major party congress. If Khrushchev had maintained Stalin's terror policies, then Solzhenitsyn and the other dissidents would all have died in the Gulag, and never been heard of.

Frank, this is what Mohammad did to different races as he rampaged through their land, he cursed them...

Two different religions, one says to curse and the other says to love your enemies, however that doesn't mean that you can't protect yourself and hate what they do...
Frank, I do believe that the bible does say something like, "those who go against Jews are cursed", and just look at what happened to Britain when they turned their backs on the Jews, from then on Britain began its down hill slide and stopped being the great Empire.
