Democrats trying to kill bill that would protect public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior

Unconscionable. "Democrats want 'John Doe' provision cut," by Audrey Hudson in the Washington Times:

Democrats are trying to pull a provision from a homeland security bill that will protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that may lead to a terrorist attack, according to House Republican leadership aides.

The legislation, which moves to a House and Senate conference committee this afternoon, will implement final recommendations from the 911 Commission.

Rep. Pete King, New York Republican and ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, and Rep. Steve Pearce, New Mexico Republican, sponsored the bill after a group of Muslim imams filed a lawsuit against U.S. Airways and unknown or “John Doe” passengers after they were removed for suspicious behavior aboard Flight 300 from Minneapolis to Phoenix on Nov. 20 before their removal.

“Democrats are trying to find any technical excuse to keep immunity out of the language of the bill to protect citizens, who in good faith, report suspicious activity to police or law enforcement,” Mr. King said in an interview last night.

“This is a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward, and it caves in to radical Islamists,” Mr. King said.

“I don't see how you can have a homeland security bill without protecting people who come forward to report suspicious activity,” Mr. King said.

Indeed.

Let's see, someone blowing a whistle on suspecious behavior, could be sued to shut up?

And the Democrats think they have a serious shot at getting into the Whitehouse? NOT!!! If things like this make it into the news, they certainly won't.

The Dems are riding on thin air and they know it. The dem congress has an approval rating around 10pts less than the president. Sort of a race to the bottom.

"Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, Mississippi Democrat and chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, initially opposed the legislation for fear it would lead to racial profiling."

....just who does he think wants to kill Americans?.....

This will make an excellent campaign issue for their opponent next election. What do they think they stand to gain? The muslim vote? Pure stupidity on their part.

The US government, primarilly the libral/dem side, again displays its schizophrenia.
Dont they know they have lower approval rating than the hated Bush? Dont they know that such a law would be very unpopular with the public?
Schizophrenia, is often called 'split personality', this is what we have when one part of government tells you to do something, and another part tells you that you will get arrested if you do.
The gov has been telling us to "be alert', report suspicious activity'. Not to do that could be suicide. But on the other side of the mania, we hear that if we do that, we may face charges.
It is not the governments business to tell us that we cant protect ourselves, and must sit in silence, while our lives are percieved to be at risk.
Gandhi, made this insightful remark about that,' To obey a law that is repugnant to our conscience, opposes religion, negates our manhood, and means slavery.' (Paraphrasing a little).

The government shall pass no law requiring citizens to self destruct...

WHO is paying these people? WE - or the SOWdis???!!

I have Michael Chertoff Head of Homeland Insecurity Department saying that because we didn’t give him the Shamisty (No Terrorist Left Behind) Bill, he won’t enforce the current laws either. This is followed by members of our government genuflecting at the altar of Islam with Chandors, and Burqas at the Islamic Center (of Advanced Taqqiya) in Washington D.C. And now the Dhimmicrats saying that if I report some thing I will be charged with a crime and sued in to poverty.

Hmmmm…. Did we sign a surrender treaty to the Ummah that I missed already?

Seeing as how often I get personally attacked by the Left, I am not at all surprised by these continuing machinations of the Democratic Party leadership. The most disgusting part is that the very people that would label myself and almost every reader here as "fascists" for daring to criticize Islam, are in fact fascists themselves.

There is not a single Democrat that is running for President right now that is qualified for the office. Period.

GODDAMIT, it was bad enough that during the Cold War the Democrat bastards were nothing but Communist sympathizers, but now these atheists are EAGER to BOOTLICK the ultra violent religious fanatic Musulmen.
Every last one of our corrupt and spineless politicians swore an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Instead, they are giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. This neatly fits the definition of TREASON. The Democrats are all OATHBREAKERS, TRAITORS, and QUISLINGS.

I have gotten to the point that I have nothing but intense hatred for Democrats. They're so stupid, yet incredibly self righteous. I think they should all be sent to Iraq to live and let our troops come home. If something isn't done to stop them, in 20 years we will be living under Islamic rule.

Somebody please explain why a THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE OR PARTY cannot rise up to challenge the totally moronic Dhimmocrats and the inept Republicans. Why can't a third party candidate rise up and govern in a way that is pro-security, shuns lobby interests and gets back to the true ideals of the constitution. America now more than ever needs a third party to emerge from the disaster which is the US government and to get back to the ideals of governing for the people instead of special interests. I pray to God this will happen soon.

I just called Nancy Pelosi's office in support of the King amendment. Then I called the ofc. of Todd Akin who is wholeheartedly supporting John Does everywhere. Start calling, because CAIR has its ragheads calling, too.

WE stopped the RAMnesty bill and we can stop the pro-CAIR forces from dropping the King amnedment. Remember, the next time these goat fuckers start facing mecca on an airplane, we must not be intimidated.

Please share your ideas on how to fight a psychological war with mooslims. We are spreading the rumor that a neighborhood fast food restaurant puts a small amout of pork in their burgers. Presto! Ragheads eat elsewhere.

Posted by: CapitalistGig [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 19, 2007 3:57 PM

Here is what I pointed out yesterday about Mrs. Pearls lawsuit against Al-qaeda.

Americans are allowing liberals and our enemies to use the Court Rooms agaisnt us.

The liberals, Democrats, ACLU, and CAIR all know that lawsuits are the tools of the LEFT. Lawsuits advance their cause and stip our rights.

These groups do not want conservatives to know that we have legal remedies of suing those that are trying to bring down America.

Usually they use the court room Judge to advance their cause, but they will also use the House and Senate, as they are trying to do in this case.

They are trying to pave the way for lawsuits against Americans. WAKE UP AMERICANS, we can sue too.

The ACLU has already made the job easy for us Americans. They have set the presidence to shut down religions. The ACLU is just picking which religions that they want to shut down and which one they want to protect.

We can cram ACLU's presidence back down their throats.

The Democrats are trying to keep conservatives suppressed by laws. Currently we have many laws that are still in favor, but if Americans don't wake up those laws will be gone and your rights and your silence will be enforced with a court order.

Turn the tables, quit being a the legal defense, be on the legal attack.

Ever notice in all the lawsuits that we see or talk about...it is always 'the good guys' are alwasy listed as defendants, very rarely as plaintiffs.

Go Tom Tancredo!! I'll vote for him in the primary even though it won't mean much.

Unfortunately he won't get nominated by the GOP and the media is hung up on Unity '08, acting like a "united" ticket (one from each party) is going to be considered a THIRD PARTY by the voters. Someone still thinks Mayor Bloomberg is an "independent" just because that's what it said on his voter registration. He's as "independent" as Joe Lieberman.

Tom Tancredo is considered a fascist and a bigot, if not merely a nutcase, by the mainstream media. They would never back him like they did Howard Dean pre-scream. They won't even cover him. They're still busy writing what must be the fifth or sixth story of whether or not Fred Thompson will run and whom it will hurt more. After going ga-ga over John McCain in 2000, they dropped him like a hot potato after he supported Bush in Iraq.

None of the Democrats may be qualified to be president but few Republicans are anything to write home about. Don't discount Dems winning next year. Partisans on both sides will vote for their guy (or gal) and those who don't like either choice will vote for the "least worst" rather than "throw their vote away".

Everyone wants to vote for the winner. Until we voters decide we're willing to vote for the right person rather than against the wrong person, no third party will win. The most they can hope to do is swing the election toward one side or the other, as George Wallace, Perot and Nader did.

Just another example of how Islam, when it feels it will be found out, resorts to the "Victim" status. And the friends it finds in American politics who support this "victimization" absolutely make my hair hurt.
Years ago I tried to warn my friends about the plague of "tolerance" and "Diversity" as it pertains to regular joes. I always pointed out that those who call for tolerance and diversity are consistently those who only want tolerance and diversity as it applies to their view and no one elses. By Islam shouting to the rooftops that they are being "profiled" or unjustly accused I say..........
.....air burst with the fuse set at 1500 feet.

Despite the left being clearly and unmistakably in the terrorists unholy alliance camp...
most of them try, not because they want Americans to STFU, but
1) to keep their cronies and lackeys (read that as the frivolous lawsuit bloodsucker racket) from going out of business, and they WILL if it passes
2) they're reminded of who bought their power, (georgie-the-capo-soros) and it's not on the Americans side of the issue
3) they're trying to accommodate their newb from minnesota and his even-kookier rage-boy cronies.

Their message to john doe public: STFU
Problem wit their take is...it makes them look like they're running interference for the islamofascists (even I doubt that's their intent, save the ellison kook), and it will only come back to bite them on the ass. Americans don't like STFU laws, especially for doing the right thing.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!

(for non-US, STFU=same internet acronym, meaning "shut the f**k up")

Folks, BOTH parties are responsible for the destruction of our country.

Check this out...

In an act of reverence and homage to the pagan demon god 'allah', the ancient Nabatean moon god of Islam, President George Bush, lap dog of the oil industries and partner of the Christian persecuting and Islamic radicalism funding Saudi Arabian Wahabists, has betrayed his professed faith in the One true God of Israel, his nation, and his people to the religion of September 11th.

The Koran that says 'God Has No Son' - The New Testament in 1 John calls this an 'anti-christ' religion.

God says:' I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD YOU SHALL NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME".

*****As the Democratic controlled Senate has a demon idol worshipping Hindu cleric praying over the Senate, the Republican controlled White House takes off its shoes in worship of another god, the heathen of terrorism, intolerance, and savagery - allah.

America will be judged for its idolatry just as Israel was. May God bring His Almighty judgment quickly on our evil leaders, Democrat & Republican alike, and spare our nation. I pray to God in The Name of Jesus that His wrath falls quickly and without mercy on the Bush administration and on the Democratic Senate alike.

'Oh God of Israel, spare America and destroy its wicked leaders who play the harlot and go after other gods, for there is no God but you - I beseech you in The Holy Name of Jesus.

Posted by: The Goobs [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 19, 2007 7:24 PM

Lastly, check this out.

'Christian patriots' interrupt Hindu prayer in Senate

If you had been in the U.S. Senate last week you might have thought we were one nation under 300 million gods. Maharishi Harry Reid (jerk dimmicrat) invited a Hindu chaplain from Nevada to open the Senate in prayer. Rajan Zed came up to the podium. To which of the 300 million gods he was about to pray to we will never know.

Three protesters interrupted a Hindu cleric today who became the first from his religion to offer the Senate's opening prayer.

Breitbart.tv has video of Rajan Zed, director of interfaith relations at a Hindu temple in Reno, Nev., preparing to pray when a clear, loud voice came from the Senate gallery.

"Lord Jesus, forgive us, Father, for allowing the prayer of the wicked, which is an abomination in your sight," said a male protester.

The Senate's sergeant at arms was instructed to restore order, but Zed was interrupted again.

"You shall have no other gods before you. - - - "

Zed, who was invited by Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, finally offered his prepared prayer.

"We meditate on the transcendental glory of the deity supreme, who is inside the heart of the Earth [Abaddon/Apollyon which means "destroyer" who is the angel of the abyss - Rev 9:11] , inside the life of the sky [the prince of the power of the air - Eph 2:2] and inside the soul of the heaven [you were the anointed cherub who covers - on the holy mountain of God - your heart was lifted up because of your beauty - Eze 28:14-17]," he said. "May he stimulate and illuminate our minds."

Police officers arrested the three protesters and charged them with disrupting Congress, a misdemeanor, the Associated Press reported. The male protester told an AP reporter, "we are Christians and patriots" before officers handcuffed them and led them away. - - - -

BRAVE PATRIOTS!

What is worse than being a dhimmi? Answer: being jihadist!

Islam is a sick, evil, destructive religion which teaches hatred and violence. It is a horrble echo of a primitive and degraded past. A world dominated by Islam would be a terrible thing. Having Sharia law imposed on me and my family would be an abomination.

Do I think this will ever happen? Actually, no. Islamic science is not good enough. Oil aside, Islamic economics is not good enough. Islamic governmental institutions got left behind in the seventeenth century! By any external measure, this bunch are not a threat!

What they can do, and what they seem to be doing, is far more insidious. They are turning us into themselves.

I can't say I have an opinion on this legal amendment - I'm not American. How your laws are written is not my business.

But for God's sake let's keep saying "We are not like you. We'll defend ourselves from your attacks. We'll use force if we have to. But we are not like you. Even while you deny we have rights, we'll ensure you retain yours.

"We are not like you. We'll give you a fair trial according to just laws and sound processes. If convicted, you will serve time in prison, but you will not be beheaded, mutilated or degraded. We are not like you."

Islam is a lousy religion, and Muslims are to be pitied for following it. They also need to be treated with caution because you can't tell when the Muslim community is next going to throw up someone who will follow the religion to its logical conclusion and try to kill non-Muslims.

But we are not like them!

Posted by: Anastasia [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 19, 2007 8:27 PM

I'm an Independent, but if the Democrats are doing this now, when there are only about three million Muslims in the U.S., what will the Democrats do when the number of Muslims doubles or triples? Yikes.

Posted by: traeh [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 19, 2007 9:10 PM

The hammer will drop long before that happens, and those that will prevent such doubling/tripling are "john does", who remember who voted to leave them to the rabid dogs (or is that "apes and pigs"?) of islamofascism.

WE will NOT let it get that far...

a "no/nay" vote was endorsing "shut up!".
It's all there.

And yes, Resistance...it IS called treason, but with militants like Henry "I refuse to convict, no matter what" Waxman, not much chance of that.

Posted by: jcom972 [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 20, 2007 12:13 AM

People that are totally wrapped up in religion scare the crap outta me. The certain knowledge that God is on their side gives them the courage and the moral empowerment to do anything in "Gods name." When their arguments for or against a thing come from a Holy text of some kind, there is no arguing with them. They are right by virtue of the writings therein, and if you don't agree you're evil.
I'm not a religious scholar of any kind, but I do seem to remember something in one of those books about...Judge not lest ye be judged. Now most evil is self evident and we must call it what it is and make those judgments in life. To call our leaders evil in this forum serves no-one but our enemies, no matter what your intent. Please consider the weight of your words when denigrating our President. Our enemies are very happy to hear Americans agreeing with their twisted view of America and Americans.
I believe that there is an awakening occurring, for all Americans, to the dangers that Islam presents to the world. Those who do not see the danger are not evil or stupid...merely poorly informed.
