Teaching skills relevant to an Inner Spiritual Struggle, such as concocting poisons and explosives. "Italy: Group used mosque as terror camp," from the Associated Press:
ROME - Italian police arrested three Moroccans — an imam and two of his aids — they accuse of being part of a militant cell that allegedly used a mosque in a central Italian city as a terror training camp.
The group held courses on hand-to-hand combat and used propaganda films and documents downloaded from the Internet to teach how to prepare poisons and explosives, pilot a Boeing 747 and send encrypted messages, anti-terrorism police in Rome said in a statement. A fourth Moroccan was still being sought, the statement said.

And yet the immigration continues...

Hey Marisol:
Ever get the urge to just come out with:
"now...why the hell is this even news?"
lol
(sorry, I just had to ask, as I'd have a hard time posting it and still keep a straight face without going "gee, what a shock!")
All the best!

JCom--
Not that I can remember. Things like this may not be surprising to us, but there's a lot of the world that still needs convincing.
Then, finding and posting an article like this, which so aptly encompasses so many relevant issues-- the support for armed jihad in Islamic teachings, the threat that lax immigration policies pose to national security, etc-- isn't a case of "time to make the donuts" (if anyone remembers that ad), but rather a cause for some serious job satisfaction.

When Westerners come to realize that the use for a mosque as training grounds for islamists is not far fetched but actually condonned by islam and their immans, they will then regard Islam more than a religion but a type of facism which extends to a total control of one's life. Will humanity surprise me and learn about this from sites such as JW or wlll it take several more 9-11's?

That's what mosques are for. But resistance is growing.

It's obviously a "misunderstanding" of the teachings of the First True World Peace Movement. Their goal is not Violence but Peace. Peace through Islam, the Perfect form of Government and Religion. A Hybrid Propagation Project Spreading Beautiful Flowers across the Globe for Allah if you will.
The Italians have "Obviously" rejected Peace by failing to support these people so devoted to instituting their Vision of World Peace and Love that the Prophet envisioned.
They just don't get it, it's all about World Peace and Love. Why can't they just submit and be sacrificed for World Peace. The Italians have clearly shown they prefer to have World Peace Forced upon them through violence by their failure to Submit to the World Peace Movement.

Golly Gee... I wonder if they have any connection to Al Qaeda. I am surprised the article did not mention the possibility, because almost every article on this particular support of topic does. After all, it would ONLY make sense if they did have connection to bin Laden's boys.

Stinkforyourself:
For me all of Islam is Al Qaeda. The Koran & the hadith and many million hatepreachers make sure of that.
But anyway, nice try!

Mosques are not holy ground, they are not 'houses of God', as are churches. Defile one mosque with hate sermons, para miltary training, weapons depository, ect, and you have defiled all mosques. All mosques are equally culpable as are all muslims. Mosques, because of their dubious uses, should not be given any credibility at all. They should be looked at with a similar raised eyebrow that the 'crack house', on the corner gets. Just because the place has fresh paint and someone mows the lawn, it is still a den of iniquity in disguise. A false front of repectability while unspeakable evil occurs behind the drawn curtains. This case with mosques.
The invisible motto over the door of both the mosque and the crack house is the same, 'Abandon all hope, ye who enter here'...He-l on Earth awaits...

It's impossible to separate the warp from the weft without unraveling the entire cloth. The cloth of Islam is more than just the fringe.
I say this every day on this site: they have to be made very uncomfortable in this country.
Ask yourself why a muslim wants to live in the west (the Great Satan). it is more of a grand design...
They shop in our malls and stare at us. They come to the CPA ofc. and explain that they cannot have a mortgage or an IRA...it's sinful. They come to the pool with their young sons, sit in a black burqa and glare at girls in bathing suits.
They hate us and they're gritting their teeth until we are under their rule.

Once again Islam shows it's true colors -- revealing that it isn't a religion at all, but an organized crime group/CULT with religion as it's facade. Mosques are just expensive gathering places for these jihadist-junkies; and I say we barricade the legal loopholes by exposing Islam for what it really is, BECAUSE IT ISN'T A RELIGION.
But how?

To reiterate what MarisolJW said:
"Things like this may not be surprising to us, but there's a lot of the world that still needs convincing."
Read the last part of how the BBC reported it.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6909961.stm
And I quote:
"Italy's Interior Minister, Giuliano Amato, said it is now necessary to pay close attention to mosques being used for activities unrelated to religion."
Signor Amato, among many, does not understand that this mosque was being used for purposes related to religion. His inadequate understanding of the religion in question is what keeps him from "being convinced". It takes a mental jolt to come to accept that this "religion of Peace" is Ernest Hemingway's "a lie told by bullies".

..... and the West won't even listen and believe when they tell us the truth. The following from the BBC report above:
The director of the Cultural Institute of the Italian Islamic Community, Sheikh Abdul Adid Palazzi, told BBC News that he was not surprised to hear of the arrests.
"It is the top of the iceberg in our country - like in the rest of Western Europe. Most mosques are controlled by extremist pro-terror organisations - 90% of mosques," he said.
"And I think the percentage is more or less the same in Italy, Britain, France and Germany."
I listened to the same report when it was broadcast on the BBC World Service. The reporter responded to the good Sheik by recoiling in horror,"Surely not, Sheik, I really can't believe you mean what you appear to be saying. Not 90% of mosques? That just can't be so ...."
Not verbatim, but you get my drift.

Think for yourself,
If you would like to distinguish yourself from those who would destroy the free world if they could (which they won't) why don't you join organizations that would like to reform the violent tendencies of your religion? Or are you just fooling around? Choose! Which side are you on? Freedom or ummah?
