KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A police official said Wednesday that Taliban militants told him they shot and killed one of 23 South Korean hostages, while two Western officials said some others from the group of captives were freed and taken to a U.S. military base.Purported Taliban spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi said one of the captives had been shot and killed around 4 p.m. (7:30 a.m. EDT), and a police official who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the situation said militants told him the hostage was sick and couldn't walk, and therefore was shot.
Ahmadi said the Korean's body was left in the Musheky area of Qarabagh district in Ghazni province. Police said they were going to look for the body.
Some of the Koreans, meanwhile, were freed and were taken to the U.S. base in Ghazni, according to two Western officials who asked not to be identified because they weren't authorized to speak publicly. The officials did not know how many were freed.
The South Korean news agency Yonhap, citing unidentified Korean officials, reported eight Koreans had been released.
Earlier, a German journalist and two Afghans colleagues apparently kidnapped by Taliban militants in eastern Afghanistan were freed, an Afghan governor said.
Officials found the German and other two captives with the help of villagers in Kunar province, said Gov. Dedar Shalezai.

2.1 The objects of the association shall be....
2.1.1 To ADVANCE the islamic religion in the practice of medicine in the United Kingdom.
2.1.2 To advance medical education in relation to the doctrines, practices, and traditions of the islamic religion.
2.1.4 To promote the preservation and protection of the good health of MUSLIMS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
There is NOTHING about promoting the health of KUFFARS OR NON-MUSLIMS IN THIS POLICY!!
This is a public declaration of neglect and war on all non-muslims in Britian and ROBERT needs to research the AMERICAN version of this group here in the states. I am sure this body exists in the United States and needs to be investigated.
This is open discrimination against non-muslims and needs to be addressed also by the AMA.
Another issue is do muslim doctors use the proper soaps or anti-bacterial agents before treating patients?
Muslims can not touch alcohol so this may be a public, health problem to all of us.
Refusing alcohol in their soaps can greatly increase the risk of infections among patients.
Do we all have to suffer or die because of islamic beliefs?
Apparently, the koran and allah supercede the Hippocratic oath and all western, medical requirements.
Robert can you do something here?
I would like to hear some feedback on this critical issue.

Oh show some sympathy for the terrorists here.
It is not as bad as having a dog barking in your face at Guantanamo Bay Country Club, or piling high with other guys naked, or being forced to have your teeth cleaned for the first time in your life, and dont forget getting a used copy of the koran rather than a new koran.
Those are truly horrible, acts of cruelty.
Show sympathy for muslims.

this is very cruel, sick and perverted. i would dare to say that the majority of these muslims within the middle east are racists. kidnapping anyone who isn't their tribe or race. they would even kidnap a fellow white muslim journalist if they had the chance. they are just xenophobic trash.

Christians started hospitals when they met with ill people. Also, don't forget that Christians believe in healing through prayer and the laying on of hands. I don't remember being taught to shoot ill people....must have somehow missed that day of Sunday school. Another clear indication that God is in no way, shape matter or form, allah.
God protect and bless those who have dedicated themselves to the spreading of the gospel in moslem lands and among moslems in the rest of the world.

When muslims say the 2 are same it is another typical, muslim practice of lying to infidels to perpetuate islam in the free world.
When muslims claim the 2 are the same I say no.
It is the situation of saying 2 men with the same name as James are the same people.
No, that is wrong.
You can always share the same name, but the histories, personalities, and characteristics are very different.
No 2 people are the same on this planet as is the situation of Jehovah-God and allah.
One abides in light, the other forced himself on mohammed in a dark cave many centuries ago.
One frees slaves from darkness, the commands to take slaves from his dark, underground abode.

I give thanks to God for this true Korean Christian martyr that was killed for trying to bring true healing and true peace to the Afgan people. By his death, he gives glory to the way of Jesus Christ, and exposes Islam for what it really is. One day, all of Afganistan will be Christian and the darkness that is Islam will be cast on the dustbin of history.

After having worked with South Korean forces, if the ROK leadership had enough balls to drop in an ops. team, the Taliban holding the hostages would understand the true meaning of terror.

And these "militants" are the guys who have and want again to rule Afghanistan, along with the rest of the Muslim world. And a LOT of Muslims worldwide have and will let them rule....either gladly or in resigned submission (Saudi, UAE, and Pakistan being the only countries who supported the Taliban diplomatically). Meanwhile, the ummah that objects can't seem to do a damn thing about it without some kind of kafir help.
Fine system, this Islam is.

i simply stated that it this muslim organisation was following a segregationist policy. it should be scrapped if they do not allow non muslims.
can you imagine if hte british dental association of christians (which dosent exist) stated that they will only help non-muslims.

Yes, as I said before, the British govt has been infiltrated and kowtows to all muslim pressures.
Vote BNP and bring back the British Army from Germany and Iraq.
The troops are needed now to save the nation from the Trojan horse threat of islamic immigration.
A military coup will do what islamo-democracy can not for the British people.

They did kidnap a white fellow Muslim, Gabriele Torsello, last year in Afghanistan. He is an Italian photojournalist who converted to Islam about 20 years ago. He was kept in chains for 3 weeks before he was finally rescued.
