"Outrageous and reprehensible." From ANI (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):
Islamabad, Aug 9: The US Embassy here has reacted strongly to the remarks made by Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Major (retired) Tanveer Hussain Syed in which he urged the Pakistan government to announce jihad against India and the US.US Embassy spokeswoman Elizabeth Colton said in a statement on Wednesday that Syed's remarks were "outrageous" and "reprehensible".
"These statements are outrageous and highly reprehensible. The parliamentarian has levelled allegations that are completely unfounded and irresponsible," Colton said.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Foreign Office has distanced itself from Syed's statement.
Foreign Office spokeswomen Tasnim Aslam said that Syed's remarks did not represent government policy.
Syed stressed the need for announcing a 'jihad' against India and the US during a debate on Pakistan's foreign policy with a special focus on Pak-US relations.
He claimed that through jihad, Pakistan could acquire Kashmir in six months.
Syed called for sending "jihadis" to Kashmir, because Pakistan would never be able to get Kashmir through negotiations.

Pakistan has carried out Jihad against India for the last fifteen years, so this announcement is nothing new. The 9/11 attacks had a strong Pakistani connection, so the jihad against US is also not new.
What is new is the fond hope that they could take Kashmir in six months. It is this kind of overconfidence that caused the breakup of Pakistan in 1971. India spared 93000 soldiers then, if a similar number surrender now, I am afraid the number of soldiers that will be spared is ZERO, ZOT, NIL.
The question of Pakistan acquiring Kashmir either by negotiations or by force does not arise. The army wont invade India (and risk the entire Pakistan getting nuclear vaporized), a bunch of ragtag idiots with AK47's cannot capture a single inch of territory. It is more likely that Pakistan will get split into multiple pieces (they are on their way to doing this without India's help)

Just shows that the Pakis have as many idiot politicians as we do.
Maybe we could take their rejects (like Syed) and send them our Dems (maybe Kennedy).
(we'll have got the better of the deal).

Actually, you have to admire Syed.
At least when he wants a "declaration of war" -- i.e. "jihad", he urges his own government to do so; unlike American politicians who insist that they must go to the UN to get a mandate, rather than declare war as required by their own Constitution they swore to uphold.
Syed should be emulated and yes, admired.

When were there ever negotiations regarding Kashmir?
Hasn't Pakistan been conducting a jihad against India since the two countries were formed?
What's new here?

WE ARE THE MANY, THEY ARE THE FEW!.
Western governments will not confront Islam for fear of the ‘Muslim Backlash’.
However,
concerned activists from different European nations are organising a rally outside the building of the European Parliament in Brussels on the afternoon of Tuesday 11th September from 1pm in protest against the spreading influence of Sharia Law across the continent.
Plans are being made for similar events in other European cities (and across the world) in the near future.
Your participation and support will ensure that western governments have more to fear from the anger of their own citizens.

The way Colton is reacting, one would think that the State Department believes that if the Pakistan were to go to war with the US, the latter would lose.
Given the State Dept like rules under which the Iraq war has been fought (no civilian casualities, hearts & minds program, etc) , she may not be totally wrong in that belief.

To be fair, Muslims have been waging jihad against India since the Arab Invasions of the 13th century. The jihad only really died down when the British arrived on the scene (too bad the British white-washed the jihad's history in India while they were there). Many of you may not have heard of the Hindu Holocaust, a little chestnut from history the rest of the world is largely ignorant of. I've heard many different numbers as to how many Indians were slaughtered, but in one interview with Atlas Shrugs, Robert mentions seventy million. Hindus and Buddhists are considered polytheists under Islamic Law which is why the jihad's death count is far, far, far higher in India than it is anywhere else. How do you think so many Muslims got to India in the first place? Why do you think they call it the Hindu Kush ("Hindu Killer")? Not only did they massacre Hindus and Buddhists alike, they slaughtered cows on the steps of Hindu temples, slaughtered the brahmins left and right, destroyed temples and idols almost as fast as they killed, and enslaved millions of women in children. Actually, in Rajput (I believe), 8,000 women immolated themselves and their children before the on-coming Muslim army could arrive in the city. It's hard to get facts about the Hindu Holocaust, since it's so under-reported. Needless to say, Islam has a long history in South Asia. Like the west, most of us are just unaware of what happened (to quote Cicero, "to remain ignorant of what occurred before you is to remain forever a child") .
Too bad too, as India (before the invasions) was one of the most advanced and prosperous societies in the history of mankind. Buddhism and Hinduism were practiced widely (Buddhism was even practiced in parts of, what is today, Iran). Conquering India was how the Arabs stumbled upon things like paper and the number zero (stumbled upon first by their Indian victims). It's a shame that a violent and backwards superstition like Islam tried to destroy one of the most impressive and oldest cultures in history.
You know, after reading your posts, it (only now!) occurs to me that the best thing to do is to cut-off aid and contact with these Muslims countries. As we all know, they have a habit of hating each other almost as intensely as they hate us, let them fight each other. Let Pakistan disintegrate, if you're worried about the nukes, there is not a whole lot we can do, stopping short of an invasion (maybe Obama isn't such a flake after all?). If we are going to defeat the jihad, I'd rather do it by encouraging the Ummah to disintegrate from with-in which may not be such a hard thing to do?

Well, now that Pakistan is thinking of Jihad against US, should US not seriously think of nuking Pakistan; just blow up their harbour (Karachi) and Pakistan is finished. They only have one harbour in their entire country. No oil comes in, the country will grind to a halt.
Let us declare our own 'jihad' on Pakistan. Once we do it seriously, they will come to their senses and back down.

Take Kashmir in six months through jihad? This is the same kind of false bravado that was uttered by Pakistani General A.K. Niazi before the Bangladesh war: 1 Muslim soldier is equal to 10 Hindu soldiers!
The same General meekly surrenderd to Indian Army in Dhaka a few weeks later. So much for the Paki/Islamic bravado!
Sounds like Saddams "mother of all battles" quote.
This is what should have happened on 9/12, start in Afghanistan, chase the taliban into pakistan and meet the Indian Army halfway.
This is how the allies defeated Germany, U.S. et al from the west, Soviets et al from the east, meet in the middle. Problem solved.

Pakistan will be the next emerging threat to the west. Not surprising at all. We must all remember, even though we purposely coddle Islamic countries, they are not friends. This story is simply proof of that fact.
Islam can never be a "friend" to anyone else.

Oil hides a lot. That bubblin' crude makes friends out of enemies (at least while it flows). It's a drug. It makes us coddle people and nations that are bent on not just our defeat but our total destruction.

This is revealing in so many ways i can't count them.
The truth now is that just by him saying they should start a jihad.....one has been started.
Not that there hasn't already been one.
Screw them all!
Musharaff will be moving to europe or the U.S. before long.....or pushing up daisies.

LMAO LMAO LMAO
Pakistan committing jihad against WHOM??? INDIA?
LMAO...that's rich!
A little head-up on the subject.
1) India won't use the retarded policy of political correctness when dealing with paks.
2) The nuke issue...India armed because of CHINA, not pakistan...only when paks pissed & moaned did we, reluctantly at best, give them a few token warheads. The paks have taken nefarious advantage of that to this day
3) A couple years ago, we did military excercises with the IAF (our Commander knew their capabilities and did this for a reasons)...our air wings got their asses handed to them by the IAF, and our own Commander got a big laugh from it...citing that we needed to see that we COULD always be beaten somehow, and to not get cocky or complacent) it proved to be a blessing in disguise for all of us.
4) If such a thing were to happen, we US would only try to keep the peace, not side with either, as long as nukes are not used-if it does, all bets are off...but we will NOT attack India.
5) If "push comes to shove", the paks are in for a terribly rude shock. Musharraf's little double-agent game has just about worn out, and that's just from the politicians-our military has lost patience a long time ago.
6) there are more mOslems in India than there are in pakistan...and the paks are only former Indians who converted to islam anyway, not that it will bear any mercy on Indias part if war breaks out.
India may still have some less-than-modern amenities compared to us, but that's rapidly changing...and they sure as hell aren't f**king stupid.
7) They're forgetting a factor even more fearsome than just India proper-an age-old enemy whose hatred is equalled only by their perpetual enemy mOslems: SIKHs (you wanna see HATRED? WOW! And the Sikhs are justified to the Nth degree)
This idiots screed is just that...and acting out of mouthy mOslem ego rather than practicality. Such an act is sheer suicide on this pak-rat's part...and downright stupidity. Puh-Lease! LMAO

Has anyone noticed anything? As far as the differences between Arabs and Muslims go, the Arabs aren't as radical as the Iranians or the Pakistani (not to mention the Chechnyans, Afghans, or Muslims here in the West). It was the Arabs (our so-called allies) buying weapons to protect themselves from the radicals in Iran (See Daniel Pipes article at FRONTPAGEMAG.com this week). Saudi Arabia aside, I think the degree of radicalization in the Islamic world is more advanced than we think, based on the depth of radicalization in the non-Arab Muslim world, as the above example clearly shows.

What? Pakistan ceclare a Jihad against India & the U.S? ROTFL!
Bring it on, you moron. That would be fantastic.
India & the Hindus have been facing jihad on their soil since the 7th century CE.
The moslems first attempted naval conquest and
were beaten back with heavy casualties.
And he dreams of getting Kashmir within 6 months?
The poor bastard cannot tell the difference between civilian casualties inflicted on mass transit systems in terrorist attacks & fighting the world's 4th largest army on the ground.
In fact, I would actually prefer that Pakistan
officially declare open jihad against India, rather than continue its devious proxy war.
Pakistan will be annihilated by India, with or without western help.
But, this idiot is actually inviting Americans
to do the job that dhimmi Indian politicians
are vacillating on.
