Mike Adams follows up this column with more for Joe Sandler:
Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young just had a very bad week. It started with his failed attempt to help a group of Consistently Arrogant Islamic Radicals (CAIR) threaten and intimidate leaders of the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) into relinquishing their First Amendment Rights.Specifically, Sandler failed in his efforts to stop YAF speaker Robert Spencer, author of “The Truth about Muhammad,” from publicly criticizing CAIR at an annual conference for students in Washington, D.C. After publicly displaying his shortcomings – as an attorney and as an American - Sandler is now threatening me with federal criminal prosecution. I received this letter from him a couple of days ago:
"Mr. Adams: As a result of your specific request posted on Town Hall and/or your website (www.DrAdams.org), we have received hundreds of phone calls and emails, many of which are virulently racist and/or obscene and several of which are threatening. This afternoon in specific response to your request, an anonymous individual has jammed our phones, i.e., set a recording to send thousands of repeat calls to our telephone number. You are undoubtedly aware that the latter is a federal criminal offense. We are turning this matter over to the authorities. I request that you immediately pull down from your site the specific request that individuals make harassing phone calls, send harassing faxes and send harassing e-mails to this law firm."Joe Sandler knows I never made a “specific request” that anyone jam his phone lines with repeat calls. Nor did I ask people to make “virulently racist,” “obscene,” or “threatening” phone calls. I did, however, make the following suggestions to my readers in a recent column:
1. Write Joseph E. Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) and tell him to stop helping Muslim extremists wage a Jihad against the First Amendment in the United States of America.2. Call Joseph E. Sandler (202-479-1111) and tell him to stop helping Muslim extremists wage a Jihad against the First Amendment in the United States of America.
3. Fax a Xerox copy of the First Amendment to Sandler, Reiff & Young at (202) 479-1115.
4. Fax a Xerox copy of your extended middle finger to Sandler, Reiff & Young at (202) 479-1115.
Because my readers are not Democrat lawyers or Islamic Fascists (like many of the members of CAIR) they understood that #4 was a joke. That is why Sandler has been unable to report a single instance of birdies faxed to (202) 479-1115. Nonetheless, he sent me a second letter asserting that I could be prosecuted a federal statute (47 USCS § 223) dealing with “Obscene or harassing telephone calls in the District of Columbia or in interstate or foreign communications.”
The “relevant” portions of the statute are reproduced below:
“(a) Prohibited acts generally. Whoever-- (1) in interstate or foreign communications-- (A) by means of a telecommunications device knowingly-- (i) makes, creates, or solicits, and (ii) initiates the transmission of, any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass another person; … (D) makes or causes the telephone of another repeatedly or continuously to ring, with intent to harass any person at the called number; or … shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."Sandler’s incompetence as an attorney – or, perhaps, his dishonesty and personal cowardice as a man - is abundantly demonstrated by this threat of prosecution. I asked my readers to express their disapproval of a man who has inserted himself into an important public debate. Now he’s upset that his fellow citizens are expressing their opinions.
As for any attempt to shut down his phone system (if that has even occurred or is as illusory as Robert Spencer’s alleged “defamation” of CAIR), I believe in personal responsibility. Just as Sandler is responsible for trying to threaten a great organization out of exercising its First Amendment rights, so is any vandal responsible for taking his or her protest too far.
But no one should be deceived. The real problem is that Sandler has walked into the kitchen and is complaining now that it is just too hot. The only good news is that Sandler is now becoming familiar (even if he misapplies) the laws of this nation. So maybe he seeks something less than full deference to Islamic law in the American legal system.
To date, Sandler has not been able to provide a single one of my readers with any statement (made by Robert Spencer) that defames CAIR – an organization, which, because if its worthless reputation, can hardly claim to have been besmirched.
So it looks like Sandler started last week by falsely accusing Robert Spencer of defamation. And he ended it by falsely accusing me of a federal crime. What will this spineless First Amendment terrorist do for an encore? Make sure to send him an email and ask him specifically (remember, that address is sandler@sandlerreiff.com). This link proves you folks wrong about the referance to killing the disbelievers in the Quran.
Quran chapter 47 verse 4 does not say to cut off their heads...Rather says that during a war to smite the disbelievers at the neck...keep them alive and bound until the conflict ends...then let them go.

Above is from the Quran Sura 47:4
It refers to during war...specifically.
And how many muslems do we kill in war also ?
I see no difference tween us and them in this verse.

But why doesn't this interpreter tell us about how the ayat continues: 'until when you have slain them in plenty,'- so how does that fit in with the neck massage?

Why does that mean beheading to me and most soldiers of Allah who proudly practice it?

Freddy Thielmans, Mayor of Brussels, has banned a demonstration which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday 11th September at 1pm outside the building of the European Parliament to protest against the relentless ‘Islamification of Europe’. If Mr. Sandler gets his way, any advice from any source to "write to your Congressman" will be illegal. My bet is that the obscenity was scarce, and that really bugs poor Mr. Sandler, because he has nothing actionable.
My second bet is that he hasn't read much, if any of his mail, since he is again attempting to blame one individual, Mr. Adams, for the comments of many. Back in the day, as they say, that would have been laughable.
Mr. Sandler: It's not illegal (yet) to send mail or email. If you've received a lot of both lately, maybe you should be grateful that all of these folks are writing to you, and not about you.

Well, Balagooon, that was really nice. But now, you need explain the whole concept of Dar-Al-Islam and Dar-Al-Harb, hmmm? Can you explain the fact that when a Mohammedan meets a Kafur they are to give them three choices conversion, Dhimmitude, or war? This means every time that I meet a Mohammedan they subconsciously declare WAR. Or the fact that the Koran calls upon Mohammedan to prepare and lay in ambush of the Kafur wherever they may find them. Hmmm… they call this Taqqiya which is obscuring the truth with half-truths, or out right lies. Doesn’t the Hadith also say that War is deceit?

Hi Balloon can I respectfully suggest to you that you carefully examine the verse you so wantonly quoted in its original Arabic format. You will find as I think you already know but are being less than honest with us about that the words in brackets to whit (in War) do NOT exist in Arabic so do not exist in the Koran. They have simply been added by the translator in an attempt to alter the meaning of the Koranic verse because of course without them it is quite obvious that Muslims are instructed to kill ALL kaffirs.

To the person above in denial ( Balagooon )here is what smite means:
1)to strike heavily; also:to kill by striking
2)to affect as if by a heavy blow
Now if you argue on the side of Islam that smite at the necks does not mean to cut off thier heads,then go preach it to muslims.
As far as arguing for us infedels that smiting pertains to perhaps knocking them out or just lowering them for enslaving,still go preach it to muslims.We are not the ones hacking heads and limbs off. (which the limb severing seems to go to the way side.Why?)
To me smiting means to kill,by smiting at thier knecks means to cut off heads.

As for the subject of Taqiya that a lot of people like to bring up my feelings are thus.Lieing in a time of war,especially to your enemy ,is not out of the ordinary.We do it and all that have been in war have done it.
The whole point to this subject is that Islam is forever in war and therefore forever lieing.So if deciet is war and to be used in a time of war the more point to stress is that Islams mindset is always to be at war until all say allah and only allah.
All things CAIR and Sandler and co. do not wish "others" to know.
Robert if you ever find yourself in the position to defend yourself against CAIR and thier cronies i hope you take a Koran to court plop it on the table and tell the room it's going to be a lengthy trial as all the evidence in your favor is in that book.

Apparently Mr. Sandler got out of the kitchen due to extreme heat prostration -- that is to say his email account is not accepting any orders... But rumor has it that Mr. Reiff, on the other hand, his partner in law, is still cooking away happily in that domain, and accepting open friendly communications from his admirers et al, ... Just saying.

Off with Heads
In Saudi Arabia, it’s the legal norm.

In recent years, the act of beheading has become a popular trend among Islamist terrorists. Non-Muslim "infidels" have been beheaded in the Philippines, Chechnya, and Kashmir. The Koran's Sura Muhammad, Verse 4, has been cited as the theological basis of their actions: "When you meet in battle those who have disbelieved, smite their necks; and after the slaughter fasten tight the bonds, until the war lays aside its burdens. Then either release them as a favor, or in return for ransom."
"Hitting the neck" (in Arabic: Darb Al-Anak), literally speaking, is one of several words in Arabic for "killing." It is not "murdering," since the word "murdering" carries a derogatory meaning. It is simply "killing." This word, which is taken from ancient Muslim vocabulary, preserves the actual manner in which beheadings have been carried out. Therefore, beheading is not seen as unusual or inhumane: It is an act of Islamic punishment under sharia.
The beheading of Daniel Pearl in February 2002, followed by the killings of Nicholas Berg, Paul Johnson Jr., and Kim Sun-Il, among others and the kidnappings and threats to behead a growing list of captives, have garnered major media attention for the terrorists as Arab satellite channels rush to air these acts.
These recent killings of Westerners have been condemned by the Saudi royal family. The Saudi Press Agency reported that Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz, the vice governor of Riyadh Region, expressed condolences on behalf of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz to the wife of Paul Johnson. Prince Sattam said that Johnson's beheading was a malicious crime that is rejected by Islam, declaring that "this has happened for the first time in the Kingdom."
The Saudi government, however, has carried out beheadings as a form of punishment for breaking an assortment of laws. According to a CBS News report on June 25, 2004, the Saudi government beheaded 52 people in 2003, for crimes including murder, robbery, drug smuggling, and homosexuality. The beheadings are ordered by the government and are performed after Friday prayer services in the courtyards of mosques in some of the Kingdom's biggest cities.
There are many examples posted by the Saudi Press Agency. In August 2003, a Sudanese and a Chadian were beheaded for smuggling drugs into Saudi Arabia. An Afghan was beheaded for peddling opium in September 2003. A Pakistani and an Iraqi were beheaded for smuggling heroin into the Kingdom in April of 2003. In October 2002, a Palestinian was beheaded for murdering his father after an argument. Two Pakistanis and an Indian were beheaded in the summer of 2002 for smuggling heroin into Saudi Arabia.
Saudis from all backgrounds are also beheaded. The London Arabic daily Al Hayat reported on May 3 that the punishment of beheading was about to be applied to the son of Prince Nayef Ibn Abd Al-Aziz, Saudi Arabia's interior minister, who murdered another Saudi citizen. In the end, he was pardoned by the victim's father. The life of the killer, Prince Fahd, was spared on May 1 when "[Fahd] was brought to the prison yard, his eyes blind-folded and the executioner was prepared with his sword to sever his neck... In front of a large throng of citizens, Prince Fahd begged the father of the victim: 'Save my life'.... Suddenly, the father of the victim kneeled twice in front of Prince Fahd, who was lying down in front of the executioner.... [He] got up and to the cheers of the crowd pardoned Prince Fahd and untied his hands. The judge signed the pardon document which demanded that Fahd learn the Quran entirely by heart. Fahd went to his office of his uncle, Prince Salman, the Emir of Riyadh, who hugged him."
Earlier this year, an al Qaeda member in Saudi Arabia warned of beheadings in his last will and testament. Hazem Al-Kashmiri, the son of a retired leading general of the Saudi internal-security force, informed the world that al Qaeda had "a message to the American soldiers.... We promise that we will not let you live safely, and you will not see from us anything else just bombs, fire, destroying homes, cutting your heads...."
The 18th issue of the al Qaeda-identified journal Sawt Al-Jihad included an interview with Fawwaz bin Muhammad Al-Nashami, commander of the Al-Quds Brigade, which took responsibility for the May 29 attack at Khobar, Saudi Arabia, in which 22 people were killed. Al-Nashami detailed how al Qaeda members cut the throats of non-Muslims, and in one case, beheaded one of their victims — all as "acts of devotion to Allah." "We turned to the third site...found a Swedish infidel. Brother Nimr cut off his head, and put it at the gate [of the building] so that it would be seen by all those entering and exiting."
The beheading of Daniel Pearl, which at the time seemed like an isolated incident, has now influenced other Islamists in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Even in London, the website of Islamist Sheikh Abu Hamza Al-Masri features video of children pretending to behead other children. Islamic history includes periods in which beheadings against "infidels" were a common practice, and it seems that this history has begun to repeat itself.

Considering the above quote about Jews...would all that be a reason to either avoid Jews...or perhaps shun them ? If not find them distasteful, to say the least ?
Just wondering if anyone here can comprehend these things as good reason to leave the state of Israel entirely alone to deal with their own Islamic problems themselves...so possibly we(USA) can get out of this freakn jihad somehow...afterall...it was our involvement with Israel which caused 9/11...we armed Israel and always backed them...and Osama Binladen claimed when he saw 2 skyscrapers toppled in Lebanon during the Raegan involvement there...he swore revenge on Israel and the USA...resulting in his 9/11 revenge...afterall.
And if the jihad was really just to destroy the christians and jews and non allah believers...then wouldn't al qaeda have first struck the very heart center of christianity...the vatican at Rome, Italy...FIRST ?...before striking NYC world trade towers and the pentagon and attempt at the white house on 9/11...eh ?

America is a prime target for the same reasons that Byzantium and Persia and India (all of them a long, long way from Arabia) became jihad targets in the past - because it is INFIDEL and because it is a pirate's dream of plunder, big, rich, and beautiful. Even if Israel did not exist; if the USA had never gotten involved with Muslim lands; sooner or later some Muslim despot or bandit chief would have sent the American president a letter demanding 'convert, or else!' .
Or perhaps you think the 18th-century Muslim Barbary pirates attacked and captured American ships, and enslaved the crews and held them to ransom, because America was occupying Iraq (which did not then exist?). Or because of the state of Israel? The Jews still had 200 years to go before they could take back a part of their jihad-conquered, Muslim-occupied homeland within which the remnant Jewish and Christian communities were being treated like dogs by the infinitely corrupt, cruel, unjust and incompetent Ottoman empire.
Sir: the Israeli Jews have treated the Palestinian Arabs under their authority far better than either the Muslim Arabs, or the Muslim Turks, EVER treated those Jews and Christians unfortunate enough to live under their rule, in the land of Israel or anywhere else within the Empire of Islam.
The Palestinian Arab Muslims hate the 'uppity Jews' of Israel because those Jews broke with the dhimmi script, took back control of jihad-stolen land (just like the Spanish had done, and the Greeks, the Bulgars and the Serbs!), and claimed the right to bear arms and defend themselves (which is forbidden to dhimmis).
Israel has every right to exist; Israel has every right to defend herself against genocidal Muslim hatred. If you can’t see that, you’re either blind - or a Muslim troll in disguise.
If the United States left Iraq tomorrow, left Afghanistan, and deserted Israel – thus helping prepare a second Shoah, this time to be conducted by Muslims rather than Hitler – the United States would STILL be a target for jihad. And the United States has every right to defend herself. I only wish she'd quit messing around with any sort of aid to Muslim entities, and instead start seriously helping fellow Infidels in the fight against the fanatical Muslim campaign for Total World Domination.
PS I've read the Quran several times and I also know the Old Testament through and through. Don't you try giving me any garbage about Islam and Judaism being identical. They are totally different, indeed, diametrically opposed. The Jews' YHWH is a liberator who enters into a loving partnership with humans; the Muslims' 'allah' is a cruel and arbitrary master of terrified slaves.

Go back on this site and read some of Hugh's and Robert's analysis of the less humane verses of bible and talmud. How for Christianity and Judaism, there are religious authorities that interpret both texts, and fit them to changing social needs (I reckon the Pope could hurry up a bit). How both texts are seen as the work of humans and thus need interpretation and adjustment - the fact that the new testament contains different versions of Jesus's life proves that. How, most importantly, the message of Jesus is one that even atheists like me can appreciate and love.
While the koran is seen as 'perfect', the word of 'allah', and thus not open to interpretation or change.
You're hearing this from an atheist, a feminist who is certainly not enamoured with the sexist and homophobic elements of bible and talmud. But one who clearly sees that most Christians and Jews have 'gotten over' those parts of their religious texts and don't want to kill my gay friends or enslave me. That I could visit Israel and see a gay rally, while I would have to cover myself in an abaya in Saudi Arabia and see a gay execution on chopchop square.
A significant number of muslims clearly want to live under sharia law. They do believe their religious text is perfect and its rules must be followed exactly. Those muslims would like to kill my gay friends. Those muslims would like to enslave me to a husband and give him the right to assault me.

Balagoon, was the Bali bombing about Israel? Is the continued jihad against India, and against Thailand, because of Israel? Is Islamic persecution of Christians in Egypt, in Indonesia, in Iraq and indeed in Palestine because of Israel? Are the avowed aims of jihadists to take over Europe and North America and turn them into Islamic states because of Israel?
Or do you honestly believe that the September 11 hijackers were motivated by a different ideology than all these jihadists?
