Iran hangs 30 over 'US plots'

"...in an apparent bid to create a climate of intimidation while sending out uncompromising signals to the West." Hmmm. How interesting that we have Islamic groups in the United States also that are trying, in a vastly different way, to create a climate of intimidation. From the Mail & Guardian (thanks to IG):

Iran has hanged up to 30 people in the past month amid a clampdown prompted by alleged United States-backed plots to topple the regime, the British Observer newspaper has revealed.

Many executions have been carried out in public in an apparent bid to create a climate of intimidation while sending out uncompromising signals to the West. Opposition sources say at least three of the dead were political activists, contradicting government insistence that it is targeting "thugs" and dangerous criminals.

The executions have coincided with a crackdown on student activists and academics accused of trying to foment a "soft revolution' with US support.

The most high-profile recent executions involved Majid Kavousifar (28) and his nephew, Hossein Kavousifar (24), hanged for the murder of a hard-line judge, Hassan Moghaddas, a man notorious for jailing political dissidents. They were hanged from cranes and hoisted high above one of Tehran's busiest thoroughfares.

Napoleon stood sternly surveying his audience; then he uttered a high-pitched whimper. Immediately the dogs bounded forward, seized four of the pigs by the ear and dragged them squealing with pain and terror, to Napoleon's feet... When they had finished their confession, the dogs promptly tore their throats out, and in a terrible voice Napoleon demanded whether any other animal had anything to confess.

Bet you wont get a mention about this over at the Democratic Head Quarters of DailyKos.

You know th lovers of Peace and "revolution".

And if one did write a diary about this you could safely bet that one would be trolled out of the place.

There are more important issues for the Democrats at the moment, and that is Vilifying Bush at every opportunity for wanting to go to war with Iran.....cause that threat simply does not exist.

2008 should be either very worrying or very interesting.

From the dailykook? lol...fat chance they'll say squat about their allies, since they're 5th columnists anyway. (ironic for being "peace lovers" yet speaking and acting out in demonstrations unmistakably violent behavior...but that's another story)...

Bottom line @ topic...
"paranoia will destroy ya"...and looks like psyops is working quite well on the mOslem munchkin...lol

Latest Message to United States citizen jihad watchers:

We are approaching the end of the seventh day of posting this request at Jihad Watch, and we are up to 46 volunteers. Florida and California are now tied, with 6 volunteers each. Volunteers from 24 states have signed on.

I'm looking for at least two people in every state of the Union who would be willing to purchase a copy of Robert Spencer's Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn't and mail it to one of the senators in your state. I'm organizing an effort to get the book simultaneously to all 100 senators, in order to send a strong message.
If we get more than two people per state, books can also be sent to the House of Representatives.

If you’d like to be involved, please write to me at traehnam@yahoo.com under the subject heading “Senate,” and tell me the state your senator represents, an email address where I can reach you, and a nickname. No need for your real name. And I will never share your email address with anyone, not even with other volunteers for this project.

And visit www.jihadawareness.blogspot.com to get more info on this project and to leave comments other volunteers can read. You can also see there the growing list of participants in this project, and the states their senators represent. I’ll try to update the list at least once a day. I've also designed a graphic that might amuse. Scroll down when you get to the site.

Once we have at least two people from every state, we can agree on a mailing date and then each of us can mail a copy of the book on that date.

Right before each of us mails the book, we can issue a press release to various media outlets in every state, and in that way announce and explain the mailing. And perhaps we can come up with some other ways of maximizing the effectiveness of this project and gaining as much positive attention as possible.

One of the project's volunteers suggested contacting Rep. Sue Myrick, who started the anti-Jihad caucus in Congress. I'll try to coordinate this project with Rep. Myrick to maximize its effectiveness. I've also been calling various congressional offices to get advice on how best to go about this. And I'll soon contact Regnery, Robert Spencer's publisher, to ask their advice and to see if we can coordinate with them in some way.

The government of Iran are the thugs.
I salute the guys who bumped off the judge. Now those are martyrs.
I suppose PA spokeswoman Condi Rice is restraining us from using our carrier force offshore Iran from attacking.

@FlushKoran

All I can say is...Savages.

Is there no lower point to which humanity can sink than under these zombies?

Robert and Hugh do a fantastic job of describing this horror verbally, but this video is one of thousands that depict the horror visually.

I think I will not sleep a wink this night..

God help us all in this nightmare.

We need to degrade assets, ,military, strategic, in Tehran and Riyadh,

No troops, just technical strikes.

That and killing jihadis can give us victory.

What a bunch of horrible people following a terrible idology.

Posted by: dgene [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 20, 2007 10:52 PM

Obama wants to talk to these guys.

Not the dead guys.

The guys who killed them.

This is the calibre of the political candidates the nation has thrown up.

Emphasis on the last two words.

Islam: a killer of a religion.

"Opposition sources say at least three of the dead were political activists,"

It's horrible. The stuff of nightmares.

I am reminded of the final scenes of Braveheart, when Mel Gibson (playing William Wallace), having refused to swallow a liquid that would have reduced his pain because it might cloud his mind, prays in his cell, right before his execution:

"I am so afraid. Give me the strength to die well."

I admit I'm not ordinarily the praying kind, but that's a really good prayer.

It must be painful for Iranians who fled in the 1970s to read about such atrocities. The revolution in what is, or was, historically one of the most enlightened cultures in all of Islam follows the pattern of revolution in Russia and China-- led by despotic idealogues mad with power and convinced of the healing power of repression and death.

To suffer the obscene decadence of the Shah and then this mocking of the remaining good must generate either despair or the will to somehow create a civilized Iran at any cost. It would seem that the latter are gaining strength and moxie.

Caroline,
Thanks for your comments at the jihadawareness site. The last comment you made is now posted. It was delayed in posting because I had turned on comment moderation. I've also posted a new comment there that's addressed to you. -- Traeh

Traeh - You found me! I was a little confused about the pause at first but now I see that the comments just take a moment to appear. May I say that even though I don't have your patience, I'm a big fan of your consistently well reasoned, moderate, temperate comments at this site. A good model to emulate!

Also, I was thinking that once you have 50 people for your project, if each of them is willing to mail 2 books, you can cover 50 states even if it isn't someone's home state. Just divvy them up by 100 senators. Something to keep in mind if the number of volunteers falls short of 100.

Iran lost thousands in the Iran/Iraq war. Iran is now ensuring that there will be fewer Iranians, as they flee to other countries (USA, etc.) as they look for a place to live without strife, the ability to grow as a society.
Mullas be aware! Your dogmatism is about to be thwarted by the educated and informed amongst you. Your following of the paranoid, schizophrenic precepts and interpretations of the Qur'an will eventually dismember your society, far before any perceived fall of Democracy. Good will overcome evil, and your wasting of humanity and it's progress will foever be seen as the work of the devil.

GOD save Richard and Gidfrey!

...An Iranian dangerous criminal could be one who is caught with a bible, one who listens to music CDs, one who has a satellite dish on his rooftop, an ice cream vendor, a man who wears Levis blue jeans, a man who likes his beard neat and trimmed, a man who questions the crazed Islamic Clerics fatwas, a man caught in an internet cafe scanning something other than the favored Muslim websites, a man who owns a dog, a woman who wants a real education, a woman who prefers to look like a woman, a woman who objects to FGM, a traveler who is caught too near Muslim "holy sites", a squirrel caught scavenging dropped food from sloppy Muslims, a journalist who actually reports the real news, a radio host who actually engages in real question in a telephone call in show, a weatherman who acutally reports "it is really hot today" but fails to say the Jews are responsible, the Muslim who says "enough of this BS, I want out", the 15 remaining Christians in Iran who insist on staying in Iran, ......welll this list goes on and on....essentially all Iranians are dangerous criminals destined for the hangmans noose, but they just do not know it yet...

"...in an apparent bid to create a climate of intimidation while sending out uncompromising signals to the West." Hmmm. How interesting that we have Islamic groups in the United States also that are trying, in a vastly different way, to create a climate of intimidation".-Robert

I have no doubt many Muslims are quite familiar with the "spiritual terror" concepts of Hitler and Goebbels. They even position themselves as Sudetenland style "victims" of oppression as they engage in campaigns of lies, slanders and intimidation against anyone who subjects the belief-system or them to critical analysis. The goal (as per Hitler and Goebbels)is to break the will of the critic, break the will of any resistance, and get the "weaklings" to throw the critics or resisters to the wolves. As this is done, Goebbels and Hitler said it is important to praise the "weaklings" for their moderation and intelligence.

It's "spiritual terror" a la Munich. It's well thought out and straight out of the Goebbels play book.

Posted by: Frank [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 21, 2007 8:23 AM

The other side of the tactics are the "physical terror"-Kristallnacht and Sudetenland style Cartoon rage. The methods are well thought out. Hitler said they work with "mathematical certainty". However, I'm not so sure about that "mathematical certainty" once folks are savvy to the process and call the demons by their name.

Posted by: Frank [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 21, 2007 8:39 AM

And let's not forget the deliberate provocations (Flying Imam style) that are meant to be exploited for propaganda purposes. In addition, Goebbels would have Nazis deliberately provoke the police and government agencies to obtain incidents that would be used to portray the Nazis as victims and martyrs. The Chief of Police in Berlin (who was Jewish) was a particular target in the provocation game. Goebbels thought it very important that the Nazis portray themselves as "victims" in order to whip up the "stupid" supporters and intimidate/shame his targets and gin-up sympathy from the public.

The "spiritual terror" tactics were effective in intimidating many in Germany. In America, even a fraud such as Fibrahim Hooper and CAIR's slander/lies/propaganda method fool some, and intimidate some, but Goebbels was really an expert at this stuff.

"And let's not forget the deliberate provocations (Flying Imam style) that are meant to be exploited for propaganda purposes."

......the next provocation you will see is when the terrorists slay a large number of American Children....this will rile the populace into attacking Mosques and Muslims in the country....then the Muslims overseas will shout out..."See, the Infidels are killing the Muslims"...

we should start banning Muslim Immigration now...

Death by hanging is not a method of execution owned by Islam/Iran. Nor is the idea of public executions.
In the US, public executions by hanging were common in the old west, both by the law and vigilantes.
All hangings are brutal, slow strangulation by body weight is the worse. Thats what Iran does, witness the woman in black and how long it took her to expire, and thats what vigilantes did when they pulled someone off a horse by the neck. Later they developed the trap door method, that is supposed to end it quick with a broken neck, but that does not always work.
Public executions are strange evocations of sexual symbolism and an actual 'getting off' of witnesses.
During the public witch burning days, if the witch was young and good looking, they would pull the cloths off her so they could watch her burn naked.
This is the greatest of human perversions although there are others that equal it. Iran encourages the public to not only watch this evil, but to participate, like in stoning. There is no way that this behavior by anyone can be considered 'good'.
Mans inhumanity to man can not be justified, but it can be stopped...
