Iran on U.N. anti-racism committee

"Iran on anti-racism committee," by Yaakov Lappin for YNet News:

Despite its numerous calls for Israel's destruction, and repeated denials of the Holocaust, Iran has been selected by the United Nations for a leading position in a committee that will plan the 2009 UN World Conference against Racism.
The planning committee, which will meet for the first time in Geneva on August 27, will be made up of an inner circle of 20 UN member-states, to be headed by Libya.
The decision to include Iran in the committee has been slammed by UN watchdogs. "As a UN spokesperson against racism, Iran will invert totally the message and mission of the United Nations," Anne Bayefsky, senior editor of the New York-based Eye on the UN, said in a press release.
"Iran is now poised to wrap itself in a UN flag as a lead agent of the next global conference against racism, Durban II," she added, referring to the 2001 UN conference on racism held in Durban, South Africa, which saw unprecedented levels of anti-Zionist rhetoric and calls for Israel's destruction.
Speaking to Ynetnews, Bayefsky said that "the leading exponents of anti-Semitism, whether directed at Jews individually or the Jewish people and its state generally, continue to be provided a global platform at the UN. This is but one example of a broader phenomenon."
"Eye on the UN has found that in 2006 the UN system as a whole directed the most condemnations for human rights abuses against specific states - first towards Israel and fourth towards the United States. Iran was lower down on the list of UN human rights concerns," Bayefsky said, adding: "And yet the US taxpayer continues to pay a quarter of the bill for activities which demonize Americans and Israelis on a global scale."
A spokesperson for the UN's Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed to Ynetnews that "Iran is one of 20 States who are members of the bureau of the Preparatory Committee," but added that "Iran does not occupy a leading role.”
When asked how a state which openly denies the Holocaust could find itself in such a role, the spokesperson said: "The Preparatory Committee is an inter-governmental body, meaning States were chosen freely to sit on the Prep-Com. It is the Member-States who decide."
'UN body hijacked again'
Bayefsky explained that the structure of the UN's Human Rights Council has effectively been taken over by the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), allowing Iran and Libya access to key roles.
"The states were selected by the UN Human Rights Council and the Council is controlled by the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The majority of seats on the Council are held by the African and Asian regional groups and the OIC has a majority of seats on each of these groups. Western states do not have the votes to block this outrage and it is another example of the hijacking that has occurred of the UN's lead human rights agency," she said.

Hmm. One assumes Arab supremacist imperialism in places like Darfur probably won't be a high priority.

Reacting to the statements of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of the Geneva-Based UN Watch organization, said that the UN had failed to explain how Iran had ended up on the planning council.

The UN is giving anti-racism an Orwellian meaning. The next time someone accuses JW of racism, just say thanks.

This is just amazing. A genocide-inciting state like Iran has this position in the UN?

This is simply another in a long list of reasons why we should have NOTHING to do with the UN.

Iran on the anti racism committee at the UN.

Where's John Bolton when he's needed?

If this isn't the material for fiction, then what is ?

To hear one more "liberal" fool like John Kerry talking about the need for UN participation, would be the appropriate thing to hear right now, wouldn't it ?

No doubt the offal for brains leftists in the West are eager to participate and report on the workings of such committees and their invaliable conclusions.

On a brighter note, about 50 jihadists were killed or captured in Iraq today.

On a brighter note it is heartwarming to see the political chasm between the irrepressive, incomparable, conservative Ann Coulter and opportunist Karl Rove.

On a brighter note there is are signs that the sleeping giant that is America might be waking up.

"Iran on anti-racism committee," by Yaakov Lappin for YNet News:

All of this is Sudetenland style tactics where the "enemy" is charged with the very thing practised by the accuser. As Goebbels said, the charges and accusations (racism, e.g.)have to be constant, they have to be endlessly repeated, and (as per Goebbels) fact-truth-logic (or even the practice of the accusation by the accuser) do not matter with propaganda. Goebbels said that the only thing that matters is that the propaganda be effective and that the "stupid masses" believe it.

Look at how effective the propaganda was in the Sudetenland. Chamberlain surrendered the region to Germany in 1938 because of the alleged persecution of the German minority by the Czechs and thus Czechoslovakia was doomed. Goebbles method worked. (In 1945 a wiser world knew why the Czechs expelled every German in the Sudetenland.)

Yes, it's the Sudetenland game. As David Horowitz once said on these maters: "the issue is not really the issue".

This is one club America can do without. I say: resign our membership, then kick them the hell out of America.

I know, however that this is a notion that flys in the face of our determination to commit cultural suicide, but we could use the money somewhere else.

What an F-ing joke; Iran on a U.N sanctioned anti-racism committee with LIBYA as its head??!! Not only do its leaders espouse rascism by holding death to America/Israel rallies they also persecute their religious minorities and constantly spew anti-Western rhetoric. Words can't describe what a total utter farce this is.If I were American, I would DEMAND we pull out of that vile, corrupt, decrepit organization NOW!

I recall reading a few months ago John McCain floating the idea that, if elected prez, he would press for the creation of a "league of democracies".

Though he did not say so explicitly, I infer he was implying a deemphasis on USA participation in the UN.

I don't think Mr. McCain will be nominated by the Republican Party to run for prez, but I wholeheartedly agree with his idea. I further hope whoever is the Republican nominee will pick up on this idea and bring it to fruition.

Posted by: omvi [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 8:59 AM

"What an F-ing joke; Iran on a U.N sanctioned anti-racism committee with LIBYA as its head?"

It's because the world is changing fast, good is becoming evil, evil is becoming good, and the grand plan played by Islamics around the globe has the world postured and practically convinced the west is the "racist", if not "satan" himself. Our collective dhimmitude is allowing the table to turn. What "was", "is" no more.

Posted by: sounder [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 9:13 AM

Behind the scenes the regime in Iran must really be feeling the pressure and need a propaganda card to play. I don't think this racism-propaganda-game will work much longer. Too many people are becoming aware of the processes in these matters. (As Hitler said, the goal of the charges is to get the charged to be conditioned and react (PC style) with their mind-will paralysed by the charges-accusations-slanders, etc.)

I am not surprised that Mein Kampf is as popular as the Quran in the Mideast. What does surprise me is that the Hitler-Goebbels game is not seen through by more people. Many Muslims have been very effective at Fibrahim Hooper style (though he's a small example of the real thing in these matters) tactics and launch a "barrage of lies, slanders, accusations" to push PC buttons when they are faced with unpleasant fact-truth about their dogmas, about jihad. They immediately go on propaganda offensive (as Goebbels advised).

Time to dismantle the UN and create a club of Democraticly elected governments with real humanrights laws!

Posted by: ZenaWarriorPrincess [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 9:23 AM

I agree Zena

Why should nations that oppress their people and give them no voice have a voice in the UN?

Posted by: Elric66 [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 9:25 AM

"What does surprise me is that the Hitler-Goebbels game is not seen through by more people."

Easy answer: real history isn't taught anymore in the public school system. By not recognizing and understanding what has happened in the past, we are doomed to make the same mistakes.

What really surprises me is the government in Israel putting up with all this and trying to appease their hostile neighbors. If ANYONE ON THE PLANET should understand the futility of appeasement I would think it would be them- but almost daily I read where they are willing to make concessions in the name of 'achieving a lasting peace'.
The last time "just give them what they want and they'll leave us alone" was tried it didn't work. My heart breaks to see a great people (God's chosen people) walking down the same road once again. I simply cannot understand how the horror of the recent past could be so easily forgotten and allow another genocide to happen.

Posted by: livefreeordie! [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 9:46 AM

sounder-

They play the propaganda game very well. But part of the answer to this reversal of "values" is to understand the process. These are well thought out propaganda campaigns right from the Goebbels play book.

I think Goebbels understood the essentially irrational nature of the unconscious. So did Hitler understand it. They turned "values" and rational thinking on their heads and called it reality. In the Sudetenland they even had a Cartoon Rage, similar to that of the Psychotic-in-Iran several months ago, meant to intimidate Chamberlain. It was planned. It worked.

Jewdog,

Your comment reminded me of my teaching days. I had a student accuse me of 'racism' because I assigned him work. My response?

"If trying to educate you is racism, then call me that all you want. You still have to turn in your assignment."

exsgtbrown: Are you sure that North Korea is NOT on that list? All of their buddies seem to be...

How much funding do we provide to the UN? Remember, we were behind on our dues until Clinton paid up.

The idea of democratically elected states forming a union makes too much sense to ever become a reality. But it's a good idea that should be out into action.

Iraq used to hold elections. Saddam was always the only candidate. 97% of the populace voted for him, even if they had to be dragged out of their homes at gunpoint. (The other 3% were being raped, stoned, or lashed somewhere.)

Posted by: CapitalistGig [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 9:49 AM

This is yet another reminder that the UN is a totally discredited institution in which ruthless and corrupt dictators outnumber and easily outvote free democratic countries. The UN does not solve problems in the world, it just talks about them.

The Left, not surprisingly, is infatuated with the UN which it views as the solution to all of society's ills and a moral beacon of light.

In reality, the UN, like any political institution on Earth, is pervaded and driven by politics. It is absolutely naive, if not self-delusional, to believe that the UN should have supreme moral authority as to everything that goes on in the world, so much so that nothing is permissible unless the UN says it is. The UN is just as political as any other political organisation, the only difference being that our political organisations represent us and our interests whereas the UN represents the interests of Iran and Libya.

I suspect the fate of the UN will like its failed predecessor's, the League of Nations. It's already becoming more and more irrelevant.

I move that we put the UN in one of those countries that were listed above by exsgtbrown!! Will anyone second this?!

(sorry couldn't resist) I think the UN needs to be booted out of the USA and then let us see how long it lasts. It might have been a good idea - but we didn't realize the sociopaths that would be in it.

Posted by: R_not [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 10:18 AM

If anyone can recall ANY good thing the UN has accomplished in living memory, please post it.
Furthermore, if the UN wants anyone to take it seriously, why doesn't it bar from any committees any and all nations which do not comply with its human rights declaration?
Like many "benevolent" institutions founded in the West to bring aid and comfort to needy peoples, the UN has outlived its usefulness. We are partially to blame in a way: by tolerating and subsidizing such institutions we have been biting off our nose to spite our face. Also, being of good will, the US and the UK have been very naive. In my opinion the UN has basically been a door through which the enemies of democracy and of the USA have been able to pass through unobstructed and seek to accomplish their aims.
I wish Donald Trump would turn that useless property into some condos.

Posted by: Sansantiago [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 10:46 AM

How much lower can the UN sink beneath its own weight of hypocrisy, oil for food scams, corruption, etc?

And even sadder and more of a disgrace is that Sec State Condi Rice, Pres. Bush, 99.9% of the diplomatic corps, and other apologists will continue to insist on "talking" to Iran. I'm not even mentioning the Democrats running for President.

What is wrong with this world?

Posted by: sadatoni [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 11:11 AM

I recall seeing "Get US out of UN" signs along the highways as long ago as 1960. In the US political climate, the prospects of the dissolution of the UN are dim, dim, dim.

Posted by: Pelayo [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 11:32 AM

If leaders of Western countries weren't so wimpy, and determined not to defend their culture and civilization, they would found a second United nations, calling it "The United Nations of the West." Its charter would reflect the values and principles of Western civilization, and condemn the freakish laws and principles that the Islamic world subjects its people to.

There would be nothing new in this, the Muslim world has Islamic organizations that operate pretty much as their exclusive United nations.

So why shouldn't the West do the same? At least it would provide a counter-weight to the freakishness reflected in appointing a country like Iran to oversee human rights violations of other nations, and might even provide an alternative set of principles for the rest of the world to aspire to.

This doesn't mean we should quit the United Nations. It only means that an alternate body of nations would exist to act as a counter unprincipled decisions of the present United Nations.

I though about this. I thought, that if we kicked out
the UN and cut funding, the UN would die. I don't
think so. So, another rule applies here. Keep your
friends close and your enemies even closer. In the
mean time, there are still plenty of things we can
do to turn up the pressure on the UN.

Why don't they call it what it really is the "UN anti-Israel Committee."

And what about this one:

United Nations International Conference of Civil Society in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace.

The Polish government have just withdrawn as they see it as the normal anti-Israel brigade doing the normal honey worded title but with the same anti-Israeli agenda.

We should call this one:

United Nations Conference of Manipulated Civil Society in support of Israeli destruction / Palestinian Pride...

Hold on as I am a European perhaps this is hate speach and I might now get arrested...

The U.N. is a farce and needs to be trashed. We could start over...but I think that would end up the same way. Corruption is all too common. All the noble ideals of the UN went right in the toilet when big bucks came callin'. This seems to happen to all large organizations that have closed door meetings.

Can we leave the U.N. already? And kick them into the East River? What about Eminent Domain? Time to CONFISCATE the UN building!

This is so stupid! I need to clean my mind and post a joke:

---------------------------------------
Politically Correct Nelson at Trafalgar

Discussion Board on this Military Joke
Nelson: "Order the signal, Hardy."

Hardy: "Aye, aye sir."

Nelson: "Hold on, that's not what I dictated to Flags. What's the
meaning of this?"

Hardy: "Sorry sir?"

Nelson (reading aloud): "' England expects every person to do his or
her duty, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious
persuasion or disability.' - What gobbledegook is this?"

Hardy: "Admiralty policy, I'm afraid, sir. We're an equal
opportunities employer now. We had the devil's own job getting '
England ' past the censors, lest it be considered racist."

Nelson: "Gadzooks, Hardy. Hand me my pipe and tobacco."

Hardy: "Sorry sir. All naval vessels have now been designated
smoke-free working environments."

Nelson: "In that case, break open the rum ration. Let us splice the
mainbrace to steel the men before battle."

Hardy: "The rum ration has been abolished, Admiral. Its part of the
Government's policy on binge drinking."

Nelson: "Good heavens, Hardy. I suppose we'd better get on with it
........... full speed ahead."

Hardy: "I think you'll find that there's a 4 knot speed limit in this
stretch of water."

Nelson: "Damn it man! We are on the eve of the greatest sea battle in
history. We must advance with all dispatch. Report from the crow's
nest please."

Hardy: "That won't be possible, sir."

Nelson: "What?"

Hardy: "Health and Safety have closed the crow's nest, sir. No
harness; and they said that rope ladders don't meet regulations. They
won't let anyone up there until a proper scaffolding can be erected."

Nelson: "Then get me the ship's carpenter without delay, Hardy."

Hardy: "He's busy knocking up a wheelchair access to the foredeck
Admiral."

Nelson: "Wheelchair access? I've never heard anything so absurd."

Hardy: "Health and safety again, sir. We have to provide a
barrier-free environment for the differently abled."

Nelson: "Differently abled? I've only one arm and one eye and I refuse
even to hear mention of the word. I didn't rise to the rank of admiral
by playing the disability card."

Hardy: "Actually, sir, you did. The Royal Navy is under represented in
the areas of visual impairment and limb deficiency."

Nelson: "Whatever next? Give me full sail. The salt spray beckons."

Hardy: "A couple of problems there too, sir. Health and safety won't
let the crew up the rigging without hard hats. And they don't want
anyone breathing in too much salt - haven't you seen the adverts?"

Nelson: "I've never heard such infamy. Break out the cannon and tell
the men to stand by to engage the enemy."

Hardy: "The men are a bit worried about shooting at anyone, Admiral."

Nelson: "What? This is mutiny!"

Hardy: "It's not that, sir. It's just that they're afraid of being
charged with murder if they actually kill anyone. There's a couple of
legal-aid lawyers on board, watching everyone like hawks."

Nelson: "Then how are we to sink the Frenchies and the Spanish?"

Hardy: "Actually, sir, we're not."

Nelson: "We're not?"

Hardy: "No, sir. The French and the Spanish are our European partners
now. According to the Common Fisheries Policy, we shouldn't even be in
this stretch of water. We could get hit with a claim for
compensation."

Nelson: "But you must hate a Frenchman as you hate the devil."

Hardy: "I wouldn't let the ship's diversity co-ordinator hear you
saying that sir. You'll be up on disciplinary report."

Nelson: "You must consider every man an enemy, who speaks ill of your
King."

Hardy: "Not any more, sir. We must be inclusive in this multicultural
age. Now put on your Kevlar vest; it's the rules. It could save your
life"

Nelson: "Don't tell me - health and safety. Whatever happened to rum,
sodomy and the lash?"

Hardy: As I explained, sir, rum is off the menu! And there's a ban on
corporal punishment."

Nelson: "What about sodomy?"

Hardy: "I believe that is now legal, sir."

Nelson: "In that case............................... kiss me, Hardy."

There are plenty of ways to monitor the activities of our enemies without further empowering the islamist controlled UN. It has morphed into a hideous farce that is a venue for the leftist and islamist agendas, financed by the nations they are diligently working to weaken and then destroy. I agree, the money we pour into that behemoth institution of corruption, graft, and islamic deceit could be well spent elsewhere.

Who would have ever dreamed that the muslims would take over the UN with their dozens of little kingdoms, sheikdoms, dictatorships and theocracies, and tyrannies, all of which are exemplars of failed states and rotten governments. Who would have ever dreamed that we would allow this outrage to occur?! We're supposed to respect this despicable den of iniquity and its treaties and international laws designed to take our money and freedoms?! I wish the place would burn down.

Iran on the UN ant-racism committee.. Hahahahahahahahahahahah

Posted by: callmeinfidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 5:25 PM

Iran on the anti-racism committee and Zimbabwe on the development committee. What a farce the UN has become. It is a dead organization that Western society should stop supporting. Send the UN loonies packing and use the buildings for low cost housing or a hospital or something remotely useful.

Who better to run a Committe on Racism than Racists? The "Anti" is just for show.

The Muslims seem to have Intimate Knowledge on the Subject. Only natural that they should lead the Show.

Brainstorming how to Foster it, spread it,intensify it... Best of all, taking a leading role of Practising it.

When you want to learn, learn from the best!

Don't forget the sparkling example of hypocrisy on the human rights commission: syria
Forget the fact that Useless Numbnuts itself is also known as the #1 largest concentration of spy/espionage activity on the planet.
Nothing like money well spent for a bunch of talking heads.

Hi its Allies here again My neighbour Joe Liberal has written yet another note and slipped it under my door after reading the above article and comments:

NOTE FROM A PROUD USEFUL WESTERN IDIOT:

-----------------

Greetings Jihad watch BIGOTS!

You all know that Iran deserves to be part of the UN anti racism group there because unlike america which is a bastion of racist bigots (such as you pro-american citizens that still believe in God and eskew radical feminism (how dare you)).

Iran's benevolent PM was only pointing out how EVIL Jews are you see. Because jews kill and eat gentile babies and blow themselves up and kill innocent muslims and...

What? Oh yes you stupid jihadwatch bigots I KNOW there is no well recorded events of Jews being suicide bombers er Im sure its in their religion SOMEwhere. err...and they do eat babies ok??? If you are disagree with THAT holy and obvious truth then you ARE a bigot and not only a bigot but an ANTIARAB bigot!!!

The worst kind!

If you are not willing like me, Mr Joe Liberal, to bow down and KISS islamofascist ass and even help cover up there ...ah...occasional...ah...indescrestions by not publishing them at the papers and other media you work at then YOU ARE BIGOTS! BIGOTS I SAY!!!

Listen I have friend Bobby he works over at the Seattle paper and they did the CORRECT thing and covered up all KINDS of things about muslims terr...er... insurrgents. And GOD bless the New York Times (although thats just an expression you jihadwatch bigots anyone who actually believes in God is A Christian or Jew fundamentalist! (unless they call God 'allah' like our peaceful religionists the muslims do)

The New York Times is doing the NONbigoted thing of covering up er...ah.. 'oopsies' of peace loving muslims. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS YOU ANTI ARAB and ANTI IRANIAN BIGOTS!!!

The Iranian PM and his officials are the most ANTI-racists on the planet I tell you! My fellow American liberals know what I mean *wink wink, nudge nudge*

I mean if you HATE Nazis then are you a racist? Why NOT AT ALL. SO if you HATE jews who want to live in peace and have a tiny sliver of land then you are RIGHT TO DO SO.

Yes yes I have heard all your idiotic jihadwatch bigot arguments --how the jews are peace loving and down believe in suicide bombing and how even american fundamentalist Christians (ewwww!) are more interested in prayer in schools than forming 'Christian jihad killing groups' (a term I made up myself thank you very much)
BUT HOW CAN YOU BE SURE!! I mean is the Moon REALLY rock and dust???
Jews and Christians could be SECRETLY planning all kinds of jihad and suicide bombings and come to think of it the moon COULD be green cheesse!
YOU DONT KNOW !! SEE?! SEE?! Rosie Odonnell (bless her soul) was right!!

Oh puleeeeease you stupid pro-american conservatives dont disagree with me --you know that muslims actually currently DOING the things we liberals believe jews/christians/hindus etc
MIGHT be thinking of doing is just an expression of PEACE?

Dont you see?
If Christians and Jews dont do mass jihad suicide bombings, crash planes into muslim shrines, kill innocent imams and forcibly rape and marry 9 year old innocent muslim girls us AMERICAN LIBERALS --SAYING THEY MIGHT BE DOING THAT and even putting on a show on CNN about HINTING how they are as bad SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU OK? OK?
And if Muslims ACTUALLY DO the above things then THEY SIMPLY DO NOT COUNT ok? ok?
If you cant see that clear logic well then you are just a stupid jihadwatch BIGOT (thanks to prof Rachel of wwww.rachelstavern.com for that witty label!)

PEACE IS WAR !
WAR IS PEACE!
LASAGNA IS PIZZA!

HILLARY IS GOD!

oh my straitjacket is a bit tight ouch.

Burn an american flag today!
Support REAL feminism and hate a male today!
AHHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Sincerely,
Joe Liberal
Anytown, USA

PS join me in www.rachelstavern.com where Liberal though is GOD and conservatives are banned immediately for posting, where our poor hardworking prof is at 100% moderation of her sites comments for the next few days because you bloody jihadwatch BIGOTS YOU RACISTS just wont leave the poor lady alone!

PPS if you love Iran then you are not a bigot
if you hate jews then you are NOT a bigot
if you HATE a muslim expressing his faith by declaring Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth (as it says in their holy books) then by golly you ARE a bigot!
Its all sooo simple how could you jihadwatch bigots not SEE THAT!

ohhhh hello Mr. man in white doctor robes... you have another hypodermic for me? Yes, yes thank you.

BODYSNATCHERS TO HEAD MORGUE SECURITY DETAIL.

PEDOPHILES TO START SLEEP-OVER KINDERCARE CENTER

RAPISTS GIVEN FREE CONDOMS AND FLASHLIGHTS

How are these "headlines" any less insane than the real one above this article?

Posted by: profitsbeard [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 6:31 PM

Profitsbeard is right. This makes even less sense than in instances in some countries, where mafia and gang members were hired as security detail so that they wouldn't turn on those who paid them. Except that it's tough to see how victims of racism, such as Jews and other Infidel minorities in Islamic lands ever get their voices heard.

At any rate, the UN is even more worthless than the League of Nations ever was. When Germany & Japan were flouting the League of Nations, at least all members of the League were united against them: it was just that the League didn't have any military enforcement mechanisms attached to them. With the UN, truth be told, the world Leftists are right when they say that the US and Western countries flout the UN: if everything was determined based on an opinion of a majority of countries, the OIC and the 'Non-Aligned Movement' would have a field day.

Like they say, US out of the UN, and vice versa.

Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 24, 2007 7:38 PM

Will the Human rights watch groups be doing the catering at this function?Or are there plenty of "other" slaves for that?

What about security? Will it be Hammas,Fatah or hezbolla providing this service?

Is there a good satelite connection for bin Laden to perhaps give a speech and enlighten everyone further on the topic?

Has an ample supply of women been rounded up or is there a need for the U.N. to look the other way for a small period of time so they can do an incursion into infedel land to round some young and not so used ones up?Perhaps the human watch arm of the taliban can complete this task if necessary.

Lets not forget the little details because this event could solve many of the problems the West and christians in general have caused the world with it's racism and crimes against humanity.

It's about time those lovers of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness were sent in to clean up the infedels mess

Sarcasm off

The U.N.= the ball and chain that is a money pit.

Is the UN still around? If so, when does their lease expire in NYC?

Posted by: awake

Don't know what the terms of the lease are, but the building is becoming unfit for human habitation and needs to be replaced. Kofi Annan, before leaving, was calling for the US to rebuild the UN headquarters. Why can't we just send them to their summer home in Geneva? Condemn the building and force their eviction.

Will anyone be upset if the POTUS doesn't address the opening of the next General Assembly? Is hosting the UN an "honor" we should cling to?
Paris is at the center of the (or at least its own) world and it's far more cosmopolitan. Paris in autumn and Geneva in summer. Restaurants just as good, if not better, and the view is fabulous. Who could ask for anything more? It's also more accessible to most of Eurasia and Africa.

Prime real estate in Manhattan, after the damage done to lower Manhattan by the Muslims, should be reclaimed for the benefit of the American people.

The Ruhollah Khomeini College for Women

The Freddy Krueger Sleep Disorder Center

The Jason Vorhees Summer Camp

The Norman Bates School of Motel Management

Michael Myers Costume Rentals

The John W. Gacy Clown School

THE EARTH'S ROTATION IS MAKING US ALL DIZZY

Iran denies the Holocaust and calls Jews "pigs" and they are considered for leadership in the UN's anti-racist committee????

This is unquestionably insane. It needs no further comment. It is lunatic on its face.

Truth is, the whole dang world is just bonkers these days.

For example: Guess what we teach 6 year old kindergarteners in the public schools of America now: that homosexuality is morally equivolent to heterosexuality and that people who speak out against homosexuality are mean and bigoted. It is unreasonable to talk about sex at all to SIX YEAR OLDS, but our lunatic public schools not only talk about it, they shove homosexuality down the throats of our SIX YEAR OLDS.

I could go on. Everything is turning upside down and our world has become sick, violent, dangerous, unkind.

We've not only lost our moral clarity, we've downright lost our marbles! Are there any godly leaders out there willing to take some action? I'm praying for you...

Posted by: Tookson [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 25, 2007 1:44 AM

Hmm they want to nuke Israel even when they are unprovoked.

The UN = Looney Bin Reps of the World

Let's cool it on the Hillary smears, folks. She just may be the bitch we're looking for.

Posted by: jewdog [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 25, 2007 8:00 AM

The U.S. shouldn't even be a part of the UN. We continue to give that Islamist organization far too much credence.

Posted by: Foehammer [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 25, 2007 8:24 AM

Human rights??? This is the gov that maintains a religious police force who beat people up for dressing wrong, or the wrong hair style and encourage the public to participate in executions by stoning, hanging ect. There is no concept of 'human rights' in Iran. There is no concept of 'human rights' in Islam. This is some kind of perverse joke perpetrated by the UN, who is chuck full of perverse jokes. The US should get out of the UN and the UN should get out of America.

Posted by: duh_swami [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 25, 2007 10:30 AM

The fox is in charge of the hen house.

The UN is worse than a joke because it has been granted legitimacy on the world stage.

I think Western nations should give up, pull out and ban the UN.
