Hezbollah is planning to file a host of lawsuits against Israel over the damages it caused during the Second Lebanon War. Lebanese individuals with dual citizenship will file the suits in the countries where they hold citizenship.Attorney Ibrahim Awada, who heads Hezbollah's legal department, revealed the plan last week on a Syrian television program devoted to "Zionist crimes against Lebanon." He said that each plaintiff will hire a lawyer in the country where he files suit, and Hezbollah will pay the lawyers' fees.
The Lebanese government began mulling lawsuits against Israel immediately after the war ended last summer, but was stymied by the fact that United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the war, blamed Hezbollah, rather than Israel, for its outbreak. The government therefore set up a legal committee to explore more limited options, such as suits specifically over Israel's use of cluster bombs and destruction of infrastructure.
However, Hezbollah was furious that the government has so far done nothing, and therefore decided to launch its own lawsuit blitz, using private individuals.

We see this more and more: legal Jihad. We see barely naturalized Muslims in the West using Western courts to wage war against individuals, groups and nations. If they are not citizens of a Western country but recent "immigrants," no problem at all: they can get barely naturalized and unassimilated CAIR Jihadis to stand in for them. This is war. Sue Israel in Western courts. Sue United Airlines. Sue individuals. Sue everyone to intimidate and create mayhem and fear. This is Jihad.

As if they'll collect anything...then again, watch this turn into a hostage extortion deal over the 3 they kidnapped, IN Israeli territory, which started the war in the first place.
I see subterfuge, manipulation and nefarious intrigue coming with this one...I can see it a mile away.

Straight out of Goebbels. Play the victim and no one will notice that Nazis or Hizballah are the aggressors. These tactics worked in the Sudetenland and Chamberlain gave Hitler what he wanted at Munich. This method will work until enough people see the pattern. Churchill saw the pattern in 10/1938 and warned that after the Nazis finished destroying Czechoslovakia "a year hence we will have to draw the sword for Poland". Right after Munich Poland became the next "aggressor" "victimizing" Nazi Germany. (The same tactics were also used in Austria in the early 30's.)

Go ahead and sue, and then try and collect. Of course the dhimmi Olmert might pay off as an act of further appeasement. Is he still in charge of something? Houseplants maybe?

I think you are right. I think CAIR, Fibrahim Hooper and other "unindicted coconspirators" should be sued by injured Israelis and their families since CAIR members supported Hamas with money. CAIR is a front organization (probably supported by Saudi money). CAIR is a very sinister group. Really sinister.

So let me get this right. We are supposed to self loathe over dropping nukes on Japan. We are supposed to continuously be berated for it...
Yet this moron would dance over such an action if and when it's done to Israel....by Iran....who by the way ISN"T wanting nuclear weopons?
So we are led to believe then that Iran stating it has mastered the full nuclear cycle makes muslims happy because then that means Israels number is almost up?

Fine. Let Israel find a good legal team and sue Hizb'allah and the government of Lebanon for damages and lives lost on account of the rocket blitz on Israel. Ooooops! I forgot that Syria and Iran should also be co-defendants. They bear tort liability as well for providing the weapons. The first demand, before even talking about money, should be the return of the abducted Israeli soldiers.
Sadly, I'll bet that on Hizb'allah's legal team is some apostate, self-hating Jewish lawyer. We have tons of them here in the U.S. with plenty of experience shilling for the enemy.

Hmmm, the timing of this announcement is very interesting, considering that the Human Rights Watch (HRW)has just issued a scathing report centering on Hezbollah's tactics of targeting Israeli civilians during the 2nd Lebanon War:
And, just a side note - HRW is also the watch group that criticized Israel for using cluster munitions:
Methinks Hezbollah is diverting attention away from the HRW report...

this will never work for 1 simple reason.
if they sue and win that means that they can sue a country (any country) in european court for war damage
there is another country that is in some kind of war at the moment, its called usa, and if they can sue israel for damages so why not usa.
its 1 thing to fuck arround with israel but its another thing all together to put that shit on usa.
the next thing u hear is bush deciding that denemark was overtaken by jihadists and invade it :)
